Popular Post ChickenExotic
Hi everyone, I write to you today as a fellow gamer who would like to share a great experience i had playing this game...yes i know its not an original Vita Title... but it is playable on the platform so i will count it as such...I was bored one sunday night looking for a game to play, I see this Corpse Party at the store, read what the game was about and I was instantly intrigued by it. I put Corpse Party and Corpse Party: Book of Shadows on my cart and ready to pay $40 for both games, for some shit reason my card was not accepted so i said screw it and just let it go...didn't think about it for the rest of the day. The following day the PS Blog was released and the game was going to be discounted 50% for the bundle... at first i was like WTF? they are still discounting PSP games? but my mind snapped and I realized this was a sign that I was meant to have these games... so i waited another day and i bought them...i immediately started playing and (i dont play japanese games often or at all so when i make a comparison its usually towards NA games) the game started like normal...but once the students and Ms. Yui were "teleported" to Heavenly Host Elementary and the Character introductions began i knew i might have stumbled up on something special. Reading on all 9 unlucky souls that were in that school separated trying to find their way to each other and find a way out was a mission that i was very fortunate (or unfortunate ) to be a part of...I was immediately sucked in to the ambiance of the school, Ayumi and Seiko... those two have a special relationship and I am so glad they were picked to do the first chapter of 5 total chapters. The way i connected to both of them was insane... as a grown person i know what its like to have a friend that cares a lot about me and is willing to take care of me when my spirits are way below sea level. I am not going to spoil the game for those people who have not gotten the chance to experience this amazing game. When you reach the end of Chapter 1 and the music starts to play I seriously felt like i was 10yrs old going through a similar experience (not the haunted school part). The Music made for this game is in par with Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill) games 1-4 is it THAT perfect to the level perfection when it comes to making music that fits the game like a glove...The music sounds so innocent yet it captures that creepiness level within the school. Each chapter has its own musical experience to match the mood...oh you are running for your life...heres a great track to make sure your ass knows to RUN!! The game can be long or short depending on how good you are at paying attention this game WILL NOT HOLD YOUR HAND and tell you a million times do this or dont do this...you figure it out for yourself...or use a non-spoiler guide... The Game is entirely in Japanese and I am so happy they kept it this way and not ruin it by adding English voices to it. They used great 3D sound technology with multiple mics that for a handheld game is incredibly top notch! The more and more you explore the school with whoever you are controlling, learn it secrets, find out why you are there, who will live, who will perish, who will turn on who, will depression set in and turn against you or will you find your way out...this game brought all those feelings back from when i was a little boy first learning how to play Mario Bros.. Sure its not the same type of game, but for every gamer there is this ONE game...or more...that will make you feel like you just went back in time and are starting to fall in love with Gaming. This is the game for me, the story...even though it is not perfect its enough to bring those feelings back from the dead and I enjoyed playing the hell out of this amazing game. After beating it, I did get the "Good" ending but i am going to play it again to get all the bad endings...every chapter has 3-5 bad endings which they are really heartbreaking to watch, but it is so worth it to get back and keep aiming for your happily ever after (escaping). Have you ever seen the movie Ratatouille? At the end when the hard-ass food critic tasted the amazing food it gives him flashbacks of his childhood of him and his mother cooking for him? I FELT JUST LIKE THAT THE ENTIRE GAME! Corpse Party is not for the squirmish...sure it might look like you are playing Pokemon from a distance (my brothers words), but trust me...this is a graphic, gross, gory, bloody experience and once you pick it up and really connect with the characters it will be hard to put it down. Have you ever played a game and after you are done, you cant stop thinking about it? it made you happy, it made you sad, it made you experience something you haven't experienced before? this is what happened to me after i turned off my vita after playing it. I went online and found out as much as i could about it, I ordered the Anime of Corpse Party and cant wait to watch it for the first time. I dug further and further and found a site that had ALL THE MUSIC from the game neatly in folders. I went ballistic and did what i had to to get my mitts on such great musical sounds. I was very excited that the new game Corpse Party: Blood Drive was released in Japan on 7/23, I imported me the limited edition and I already had offers to sell it at doulble what it costs $200, somethings to me are more important than money so i will not sell it, this is for me to collect and cherish. I got hold of XSEED Games, the developers in charge of a possible NA port...they actually responded to me and they said they are looking at the game closely and CP means a lot to them and it made me hopeful that maybe next year we will actually get a Vita Title! This game made me a hardcore fan overnight and a little obsessed with it as well. If you have been on the fence or never got around to playing this game, I would suggest you play it at least one time. Learn the story, I wont go into any more details about it here, but if you have beaten it and want to discuss it, sure why not! anyway...i should get some sleep. If you actually read everything...I thank you for at least hearing me out. For those of you: TL;DR - Corpse Party for me was a unique experience that made me feel like a little boy falling in love with gaming for the first time.
AssassinShadow56
I have watched Pewd's walkthrough and Markiplier's on the PC version of the game. Very good game, either 9/10 or 10/10. Also, I couldn't agree more with you. Also, for the love of god DON'T GET THE ANIME, I HEARD IT'S A BAD ENDING + 60% MORE GORE. I could be wrong though. It's your choice. But yeah, this game is one worth getting a Vita/PSP for.

I already ordered the DVD its on its way and I can't wait to watch it. I completely forgot to add to my letter. This is a game I would recommend getting a PSP/VITA for. AmaimonHD
Happy to hear your thoughts of the game in great detail, couldn't agree with you more on all points. Just a fore warning about the anime, it seemed to be a little rushed but it's got much worse stomach dropping moments, many people didn't like it but once you watch it i'd like to hear your thoughts on it. From what I read, anime has original ending. It's been a while since I last played CP but I don't think you could get anime ending in game.
