Popular Post StyX_AuT
# 52 Tom Clancy´s Ghost Recon Wildlands I played the whole game solo (except for the trophies that require one to play in a team) as no one in my friends list was playing the game. Despite this being a game that greatly benefits from playing in a team I had a blast with it and there are several ways to do a mission. Most of the missions are really repititive though. After the first area there is hardly any variety regarding the missions. The collectibles are also a real chore as there are so many. I actually wanted to start Assassins Creed Syndicate after this but being that an Ubisoft game as well which also has tons of collectibles I had to play something different... which brings me to my next platinum # 52 Life is Strange (can´t post a picture as the Platin pic is white) I wanted to play this game for a long time as I heard nothing but good things about it. When it recently went on sale I decided to cave in and jeez, am I glad I did. This game was superb and truly a emotional. The last episode was really intense and weird (in a good way). Reminded me of a mixture of the endings of Bioshock Infinite and Alan Wake. The ending was already special and I thought about 5 minutes about the final decision I had to make. I wished I bought it earlier to support the developers with more money. They deserve every cent!
Popular Post UK-Danny-93
#99 The Grail The Order 1886 39.02% Uncommon If the game had released like 'Ratchet and Clank' more recently with a reduced price and correctly set expectations for the games size I think 'The Order 1886' would have been received fairly well. The cinematic style might have frustrated some. The stealth sections and the sections where you fight the creatures could have really done with some refinement too. But apart from that the game had a lot to offer the a sequel could build on. The premise, environments and the characters were all great. The visuals, animations and voice acting were excellent. And the lore established, from the Knights of the Round Table as a continuing organisation to Tesla's inclusion and his array of alternate history 'science weapons' and gadgets, were all interesting and I'd liked have seen where further iterations could have taken this. I never would have at launch but now I would recommend checking out the game, I had a pretty good time with. Maybe someday down the line somebody will resurrect the IP and deliver on it's huge potential. Shame I didn't quite make it to 100 for the 1000th page! Popular Post MesopithecusUK
#35. Color Guardians Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Started this around Christmas-time and only just got round to finishing it up. Pretty easy platinum and pretty fun too (even if all the color changes did make me go cross eyed) Game was long enough to be enjoyable, but not too long that it overstayed its welcome. Thanks PS+ for this little gem

RedRodriguez87
I am the glorious Mr. Massagy! I can easily say with no experience with any other dating sim, that this is the best hands down. The writing is superb, the dates are all unique and interesting and FUN (even the one that kills you), and that bird is the best narrator ever. When he wasn't making literally LOL, he was making me want to punch him in his fat mouth. Folks, this is def worth the $4.
Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#171 - Valley Literally a cross between a Marathon and collectible gathering. You basically just run for the duration of the game while trying to find collectibles. The gameplay is fairly dull, musical score and visuals are pretty good though. The story is kind of meh and the combat and mechanics are pointless. Enjoyment: 6 Difficulty: 2
Popular Post AJ_Radio
So I decided in order to play "catch up" to my actual most recent platinum, I'm going to quickly summarize these next eight platinums, still a bit long winded but not the essay ramblings I normally post on this topic. #72: Assassins Creed: Brotherhood (February 26th, 2017) Difficulty: 4/10 Excitement: 8.5/10 Spoiler The best Assassins Creed game with Ezio Auditore, in my opinion. Brotherhood takes place in Rome, and while it would of been nice to have seen more varied locations, it was good for the open world sandbox. The Borgia are in power in the beginning, and Ezio must recruit his Assassins in order to take them down. This was an enjoyable game. The music was pleasing to listen to, it's a shame Jasper was gone in the later titles. Ezio was charming as in the previous game, the characters were decent on their own, which made for a good experience throughout. The jumping mechanics were easily the worst aspect. Those Romulus Lairs would of certainly been a lot easier if Ezio hadn't of jumped in the opposite direction that I was intending him to go towards. 100 percent Synchronization was introduced in Brotherhood, and while most of the objectives are nothing difficult, a few were painfully annoying. Not getting hit once when there are no less than 10 - 12 Romulus Followers crowding you was stupid and unnecessary. Beating those lairs in 8 minutes? Easily doable, just not on your first run. Those Leonardo War Machine missions and that Young at Heart thief mission can suck a big one. Took me over 30+ attempts for that one mission, clearly the developers thought it would be okay to piss off the player. All in all, I enjoyed Brotherhood. It's my second favorite Assassins Creed title behind Black Flag. Desmond and company were witty and funny to listen to. Such a shame what happened to Lucy. I highly recommend the Ezio Collection for the PS4, one being that this game definitely looks better on the PS4 than it did on the PS3. This version of Brotherhood excludes the multiplayer trophies. The game is not difficult apart from the jumping mechanics and a few of the optional objectives needed for full synchronization. As I'm typing this I already miss Rome. #73: Assassins Creed Revelations (March 5th, 2017) Difficulty: 5/10 Excitement: 5/10 Spoiler The most disappointing Assassins Creed game I played thus far. The first area of the game has Ezio in Masyaf looking for Altair's Keys. The story of Altair, the protagonist and playable character of the first Assassins Creed, was quite interesting. Personally I felt the first area was quite alright, as it gives the false impression that maybe we were going to get something different. Once I played a while in Constantinople, I realized that Revelations is merely a rehash of Brotherhood. Only worse. It becomes apparent that many of the buildings look the same from one another. There is a brown, dusty appearance to most of them, which made hunting for Animus Fragments difficult at times. There is a lack of variety here and it makes me wonder if Ubisoft was just itching to put Ezio into a Arabic/Turkish city. Sure there are landmarks like the Galaga Tower and the Hagia Sophia, but they aren't as recognizable as the landmarks from Rome. The entire city of Constantinople was boring. For gaining territory for the Assassins, there are towers to light. Climbing these towers wasn't anything like the Borgia towers from Brotherhood, and you merely just light them to signal the Byzantines away. They have a chance of retaking your territory, and then you have to play Den Defense. To hell with that minigame. You have to renovate buildings just like in Brotherhood, but there is no clear reason why I was renovating any buildings. There was nowhere in the game that told me a good reason why I had to go around renovating. To make matters worse there is a bug that stops daily deposits to the bank. It only fixed itself when I started a story mission, or if I just stood still in an area for 20 minutes. I ended up playing the game with little to no money during my early run. This was extremely annoying and I was disappointed Ubisoft didn't fix the problem. Was there a good reason why my notoriety went up every time I bought a shop or landmark? Made no sense. With no posters it was a pain bringing my notoriety down. Oh and if I didn't bring it down fast enough? A good chance of replaying Den Defense. As I said before, to hell with that minigame. The characters were alright, but were very inconsistent. Yusef, an assassin leader in Constantinople, was given a fair amount of screen time in the early chapters of the game, but went missing for much of the second half. Sophia Sartor could of been interesting, but I felt her relationship with Ezio felt forced, and her screen time was limited. Other characters seemed to come and go, and with the exception of a couple outside the two I've listed, I've pretty much forgotten all of them. The main antagonist doesn't even show up until halfway in Revelations, there is a section of the game where Ezio is mostly doing fetch quests for no reason than to lengthen the time a little. Compared to Brotherhood, Revelations characters just didn't stick with me. Brotherhood had Claudia, Mario, Leonardo da Vinci, Caterina, Bartolomeo, La Volpe, Niccolo Machiavelli, Rodrigo Borgia, Cesare and Lucrezia. All of whom had a good amount of screen time, all whom had their own charm and all whom played a part in Ezio's story. They were a big reason why Brotherhood was more than just an extension of Assassins Creed II. Nobody in Revelations apart from Ezio himself had the considerable amount of screen time the characters in the previous two games did. The story and the main story missions were considerably shorter, but I suppose that may of been a good thing since Constantinople wasn't nearly as interesting. The first chapter, the seventh chapter and the ninth chapter (final chapter in the game) all take place outside of Constantinople, and without much else to go around I felt the developers got lazy with this one. In conclusion, the supporting cast was underwhelming. The only good aspect of the story was Altair. I truly think this was were Ubisoft spent the most time in developing. For collecting Masyaf keys, Ezio was able to relive the memories of Altair. In turn we see how Altair lived his life in his later years, which I found interesting. Unfortunately they are very short, and while none of the memories were difficult for me to beat, I would of liked to have seen them run a little longer. Even the present day Desmond storyline was bad. There is a bit of dialogue with the other characters, particularly William Miles and Shaun, but that pretty much is gone halfway through the game. I suppose there wasn't much Ubisoft could do with Desmond being in a coma, but really? The previous two games had tenfold more dialogue and conversation. What happened? The conversations with Subject Sixteen (Clay) were completely disappointing. All those things he told Desmond (Subject Seventeen) in the previous two games, did that not matter anymore? Did Desmond get stupid and not bother to ask Sixteen what he heard earlier? There weren't as many side quests or side activities to do this time around. In fact there were so few side activities I managed to 100 percent the main game within 15 - 16 hours, and that included getting all the Animus Fragments and doing two optional areas. I did all the Bomb side quests and Master Assassin quests, neither of which were difficult nor interesting. Each of the assassins could talk, but I just saw them as faceless individuals who just did whatever Ezio told them to. Bombs and the hookblade were unnecessary. This is the only game in the entire series that we ever see these additions (apart from the standard smoke bombs). Most of the bombs are useless, and the hookblade does little to save you some time in climbing up a tower or building. The WORST aspect of this game, and why I'm giving it a 5 out of 10, are the first person levels. Why Ubisoft ever felt the need to put these in is beyond me. Desmond is put in a coma and has to be on Animus Island until he can figure out where the next temple is located, which he can only find out by playing the memories as Ezio as he tries to get into Altair's secret library using the Masyaf keys. The only thing Desmond Miles can do, besides talk to Subject Sixteen and playing the genetic memories, is by playing these first person puzzle levels. So basically this becomes an entirely different game which is more akin to Mirrors Edge. I had to play a completely different style to get past these levels. Basically you have to bypass certain obstacles by using path and slope blocks. Desmond tells his stories, which are pretty much flavor text as it's all about his earlier life. I had no reason to care. Then to make matters worse, the Lost Archive DLC is basically the same sort of levels, only more difficult and frustrating. With the lack of multiplayer trophies, the only ones to take their place were the Lost Archive trophies. It took a good 30 - 50 tries with the Warren Vidic trophy to finally get it, and the River Styx trophy wasn't fun either. I finished the Lost Archive within three hours, and because it has nothing to do with the traditional Assassins Creed gameplay, I felt it was wasted effort and a waste of time. Revelations just sucked in my opinion. I know I meant for this to be short but I completely gone against that because I felt I needed to address this. The gameplay was nothing special, the city was a chore, the characters were nothing to write home about, the entire game felt more like a cash in than a game with care put into it. Thankfully I will be playing Syndicate in the next couple weeks, which will hopefully be a much better game. Revelations isn't terrible on it's own, but it was clear Ubisoft needed new ideas. Assassins Creed Revelations was filler through and through. Edited April 9, 2017 by Spaz
Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#172 - Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas Well, I finished up another game just now, that only had 2 trophies left. A decent Zelda clone. Graphically appealing, yet dull when it comes to actual gameplay. Specifically the combat and locations are quite bland. The island traveling, forces you into a dumb minigame and the fishing in this is far worse than it was in Dark Cloud. It should be known by now that fishing in any game is boring as fuck and usually implemented so badly that it becomes a nuisance. I mean even the simplistic fishing in WoW was a drag.

Jak and Daxter is a beloved childhood game franchise made by popular game developer Naughty Dog. You take the roll of Jak, a silent yet acrobatic protagonist, and your main goal is to stop Gol and Maia(brother and sister as well as the antagonists) from spreading Dark Eco across the world. Jak is accompanied by Daxter, a talking ottsel who is very close friends with Jak. Together Jak and Daxter must over come obstacles, collect shiny floating orbs that appear out of nowhere, and spin kick their way to victory. Can they pull it off? Ok first things first Jak and Daxter on the vita is not the best idea in the world. I luckily did not experience any glitches or constant errors popping on screen. How ever I did experience input delay when ever I tried to double jump which was very annoying at certain parts. But let's stop talking about the console and lets talk about the game itself. Jak and Daxter is a very fun, unique, and creative game. I enjoyed the main story line as well as those little side quests. I hated the fishing mini game . Still have to do it 2 more times, 1 on PS3 and 1 on PS4. The boss fights were not difficult except maybe the last boss but no surprise there. The game has a lot of other things to offer such as collectables, free roaming, as well as other aspects. Jak and Daxter on the Vita is not the best but it is doable. I'm currently the 37th fastest achiever for this game https://psnprofiles.com/100-club/1992-jak-and-daxter-the-precursor-legacy. Could have gotten faster but do to input delay and back tracking it cost me a good amount of time. Over all I recommend Jak and Daxter on the Vita only for two reasons. 1. If you like the series and you made it your personal mission to get all the plats regardless of how bad it plays on the Vita. 2. You just want an easy platinum trophy. That's 1 plat down and 5 to go. Bullstomp
Legend of Defiance Complete all other trophies This Defiance plat is special to me not only because of its rarity but because for years I didn't think it would be possible. My chapter 3 trophy never popped and after 6 weeks going back and forth with Trion and Sony and getting nothing other than frustration I gave up. For a year I left it alone. One of the psnprofiles members, Casadeben, suggested I create a new character on the EU server and I did. I took my time because I was afraid it wouldn't pop. And then it did! I was ridiculously stoked! I went back at the game with a vengeance until I finally got that platinum. Thanks Casadeben, I owe you one!

The open-world map in story mode is fantastic, but the story itself is too short. Also, some Oni are simply too weak. More than once I had to get an inferior weapon and go solo to break all parts. Still, it was an enjoyable game. I hope there is a Toukiden 2: Kiwami somewhere on the future...

Like every other collect-a-thon ? All because of the terrible port job and/or lack of patches to fix the few issues after launch. Otherwise, it would have been one of Vita's best games and platformers. The mini game is better on consoles because you have more control with the DSA. (A mini game from Jak II will likely top the fising game in JaD for you.) I've personally found the shooting mini game to be more dislikeable, especially on Vita where touch pad interaction is required for trophy. The fishing mini game is much simplier and easy to master, especially without momentum physics (which is a flaw). Popular Post Caldor2K2
- #95 - Double Dragon IV This wasn't an easy one at all. While it looked easy enough on paper, finishing 100 floors of the tower said otherwise. One life, no health regeneration/pickups and no continues. You have to fight your way through around 410 enemies or so to get the trophy. Damage is reduced but picks up slightly the higher you get, and you'll often wonder how much the jump kick that you got hit with on floor 10 can mess you up later on. I got frustrated with it more times than I could count, and almost threw in the tower more than once. Finishing the game 18 or 19 times with all characters too was a bit of an unnecessary grind, but no where near as hard as that tower was.

Popular Post AJ_Radio
#74: Shovel Knight (March 10th, 2017) Difficulty: 6/10 Excitement: 9.5/10 Spoiler One of the most brilliant indie 2-D platformers in recent memory. As Shovel Knight, you are a knight wielding a shovel. In times past both you and Shield Knight were successful adventurers, grabbing the various loot of the land. However, a cursed amulet at the Tower of Fate resulted in the loss of Shield Knight. Alone, Shovel Knight went into exile, while a band of knights called the Order of No Quarter took over the land. Led by the Enchantress, the Tower of Fate was unsealed, with devastation looming over the land that was once more peaceful. This is the beginning of the game. Right off the bat I realized I was going to enjoy this game immensely. There have been a good number of indie titles in the past two years or so that have tried their best in emulating the classic 8-bit/16-bit era, arguably the most important generation of video games as that era gave birth to many innovative ideas still in use today. But none have emulated the NES generation of games as well as Shovel Knight has accomplished. The music is top notch, made by a composer who has made a name for himself among indie titles. Both the music and the layout of the levels are reminiscent of the NES Megaman games. The general setup is you have to work your way through each level, surpassing various obstacles and enemies by using your weapons. Platforming is just like the older games people remember. Many platforms stay dormant, while a few platforms move on their own or shift. Anybody who has played and beaten a NES game back in the day will feel right at home with Shovel Knight. The execution with the platforming and the controls is nothing short of flawless. After the first level you are treated to a Super Mario Bros 3 style map. You can access a few areas at the start, but many areas won't be available until you complete certain stages. As you beat these stages the map opens up by revealing an area previously shrouded by clouds. A couple locations serve as towns, and it is there that Shovel Knight can talk to various NPCs, most of which have something to offer. Shovel Knight's health can be increased, his magic can be increased, he can return song scrolls for money, he can buy relics that can help him in various stages, among other things. Both towns offer plenty of information and the NPCs are charmful in their own way. Apart from the stages containing a Knight of the Order of No Quarter, there are also a few other stages. There are bonus stages to collect treasure, in a way a little reminiscent of the bonus areas from Super Mario Bros 3. There is a stage with a large NPC called the Troupple King who can fill your chalices with health and invincibility. There is a castle where you have to fight off ghosts, with portraits of people who donated money to Shovel Knight's Kickstarter campaign. There is a variety in the stages, each Order of No Quarter is different and must be tackled different. The variety never fails to disappoint, which I greatly appreciated. If you love oldschool 2-D platformers, I order you to buy Shovel Knight. Even at it's current price value it's still worth your money. I loved this game from beginning to end, and while it becomes considerably more difficult towards the end, it should be more than doable for any old school gamer to pick up, play, and beat it. A lot of love went into this game, and it shows. Troupple King's dance theme was one of the most memorable songs I've heard in a long while. The background details and the sprites are brilliant. Shovel Knight is oozing with gameplay and personality. It is a shining example of a game that takes the best from the 8-bit era and makes it into a fresh, new experience. I can't recommend Shovel Knight enough, and look forward to Specter Knight's DLC (although I'm still working on getting all feats for Plaque Knight). This game is challenging at times but don't let that put you off. The controls are very responsive and there isn't a single moment that the game is being unfair. If you own any Xbox, Nintendo or Sony console, or if you happen to play on PC via Steam, please buy Shovel Knight. It's well worth your time, and you won't be disappointed if you enjoy 2-D platformers. Also, kudos to Yacht Club Games for putting Kratos (God of War) in Shovel Knight Edited April 10, 2017 by Spaz
