Popular Post BlazingCat83
#10 Saturday Morning RPG This was definitely a fun game and I enjoyed the 80s references. However, there were a couple things I didn't like. One, scratching the stickers before the battle. The sound of it plays through your DualShock 4. I eventually had to mute it because it was annoying me. The second was the grind to level 50. Unless you're very unlucky with the stickers, you won't be close at all before you finish the other trophies. The trophy for getting all the stickers does have some RNG involved, but it ended up not being too bad. I found the old school graphics quite charming. I would recommend. Popular Post Terra
#68 - The Sims 3: Pets Difficulty: 3.5/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Completion Time: 1 week, 4 days I've long been in a Sims fan but when I first saw the rarity of this platinum, it had me on edge. "It can't be that hard right? It's the Sims!" I regret what has been bolded. While not a particularly challenging game, this suffers from an extensive amount of glitches, freezes, and corruptions to the point where it almost made me hate the game. I was forced to restart early on due to the nefarious town map glitch (which happily never occurred again) but I was pleased to see my challenge data had saved. It was definitely a grind and I spent my days off on my sofa mindlessly watching my Sims go about their miserable lives waiting for them to fulfill their abysmal wants. There is a lot more content then the first Sims 3 offered on the PS3 so there was still things to do and the revamped Karma system made it easier to play then the first game once you unlock all of the eleven tiers. Near the end though, I started to tire from seeing the same thing day after day and the same Sims complaining that the sink is broken or the baby's crying. Screw the infant, I fed it and let it wet it's diaper, no reason it should be sobbing. What's worse is that when I had one challenge left to complete, it didn't want to unlock. Joy! Another stupendous glitch! With some reloads it finally popped. Stick to playing this on the PC if you can and for anyone wanting to platinum this, have a flash drive, cloud save, and a bunch of tissues at your side.
Popular Post marvelboy10
#76-Severed Made Whole Obtain every trophy in the game After a whole month, 1 week, and 6 days, I finally managed to get the platinum for this game. This game makes Fruit Ninja look like child's play. This game serves as an excellent arm workout. No seriously this game gives your right or left arm (or both if you're that gifted) a great workout. I'm honestly surprised my Vita is still functioning properly after all that swiping. Even though it was made to withstand such actions. But enough about the cardio benefits. We're all here to see my review on the game. So let's get started shall we. Severed is a great game and I'm not just saying that. I really mean it. The game is unique and we all know unique games have a lot to offer. The gameplay was great and the enemies were all kinds of freaky. We're talking about 4 armed masked creatures to a Crow Golem, to a diabolical DRAGON with not 1 but 2 mouths. Kind of disgusting but by the time we defeated him, he looked a lot better. The only problem, and a lot of people would agree with this, was the Father Memento. I mean seriously how difficult was that. It took me at least over a dozen tries until I finally managed to defeat the enemies. I'm so glad it's over and I can move on. The dungeons were another problem, especially the first one. Now my arm right arm feels stronger than my left. This reminds me of that Fairly Odd Parents episode when they created a pencil, and when ever people used that pencil their writing arm became bigger and muscular. Good times good times. But unfortunately I didn't make the fastest achievers but I got the plat and that's all that matters. My hats off to those that did make it, you guys rock. But it does mean promotion time for the Way of the Sword PP. And I set a new personal record. 6 plats in one month. If you're in to sword games or fighting mysterious, vile, and diabolical creatures then Severed is for you. Until next time, have a Great day! Popular Post GoldenShaka
Platinum # 78 Yesterday origins Interesting point and click game. Idk, Idk when I voided the "play the game without skipping cinematics" trophy, that put me on the edge of my seat in my second run (speedrun), due all the time lost watching cinematics, luckily the time required for that speedrun trophy is big, a little more than 4 hours, my time was 3 and a half hours for those two trophies plus (obviously) the platinum. The "interact with all things" trophies in almost all chapters were a little confusing but doable thanks to Chapter select. I have to say that the aspect I liked the most in the game was the soundtrack: great, nice story, decent length. Btw, @zadorvp, remember to add the game to your PP point and click. There was a trophy glitched, but it was already patched with the 1.03.
Popular Post LuccaLove26
Tearaway (PS4) Perfectionist This is by far one of the best games I've played in a long time and the best thing about it, is that it was a free download if you have PS+! Obtaining all the trophies were fairly easy, though some were pretty grinding. The very last thing I had left to do was carry that stupid gopher aka Satan back to all his houses in certain levels and some of those were a bitch! Overall a fairly easy game! I loved the story line and the music in each level, it was very relaxing. ??

Popular Post FluffyAssassin64
#65 - Life Is Strange "What If?" Unlock all other trophies from Life Is Strange™ Wow, what an absolute roller-coaster of a game. It had its low moments, sure, but a few scenes and moments in particular made this game more than worthwhile in my eyes. I'd heard about this gem from a friend a while ago who loved the story, and I was convinced to pick it up when I recently saw it for cheap. It's a relatively simple game in the vein of Telltale 'chose your own adventure' stories, but with (in my opinion) a much better game engine and art style. That should already tell you something about whether you would like it or not... but if you're anything like me, you'll love it. As a 22yr old male, playing as a teenage girl wasn't exactly a regular thing for me... but Max Caulfield was a very likeable and relatable character that resonated with me quite closely. Most of the other characters were somewhat annoying, but the writing and situations you come across during later episodes (Ep4 and Ep2 in my view were particularly strong) are very well-done. Choices felt impactful at the time - and some were (as the end of Ep 2 proved) - while others fell flat either immediately or even later on. The final choice of the game wasn't bad per se, but it felt quite formulaic given the rich storytelling up to that point. That said, it still did hit me hard. There's a lot of teenage drama here, which isn't for everyone, but I found it (again) quite telling; particularly in issues like bullying. LiS would be a good companion piece to "13 Reasons Why" (the new Netflix show) in this regard. Another game mechanic - the rewind - was both a positive and a negative for me. I liked how you could see both sides of the (inevitable) argument based on results, and the last chapter / episode in particular dealt with time in a very clever way, but there were many times when it felt like a gimmick. Rewinding to bring up a random piece of information that the person happened to mention felt far-fetched and fake the 1st time, let alone the 10th time. That said, one particular time when the rewind is taken away contributed to one of my favourite moments in the entire game; props to the developers for trying something new and different. It mostly paid off Before I mention a bit more about what I didn't like, I wanted to give massive props to the music / sound department on this game. Music in particular was used sparingly, but was uniformly incredible. Whether heart-wrenching, joyful or just plane emotional, I was blown away by the feelings this game brought up through music alone. Sound and voice work was also generally excellent, with a few dodgy bits here and there. Now, there were a few negatives that detracted from the experience a bit. Animations were generally good, but there were enough times that they were clunky and out of sync that it hurt the emotion of the scene. As I've already mentioned, some game mechanics felt shoe-horned in and lacklustre. Gameplay was also very simple; though it controlled well, I would have like more puzzles like the (fantastic) one near the end of Ep4. There was a lot of potential in some of these moments that felt undercooked. Nothing was overtly bad though, imo. All of that to say that Life is Strange is an excellent story-driven adventure that will stick with you long after you've completed it. Minor issues aside, this is an experience that is well worth your time. Trophies are also incredibly easy... definitely don't follow a guide for this game or you'll ruin what is best left unspoiled. It's extremely simple to replay components of chapters later to get any photos you missed; at most you'll have to watch a 30 second cutscene, so don't stress Enjoyment rating: 8/10 Plat difficulty: 1/10

markcavan
#139 - Adam's Venture Origins on PS4 (16th plat of 2017) - 84.94% COMMON Picked this up on a recent sale for €9.99 and I'll be honest the game is really not even worth that price, more like €4.99. While a PS4 game its more PS3 like from performance and graphics. The load times are awful if you manage to die or get caught by the guards. The game itself is a puzzle adventure game, done in the style of the early Tomb Raider games but not nearly as good. The dialogue is so bad its actually funny in parts and the puzzles are not too hard and can be figured out in a few minutes. Only two none story related trophies but they are very easy to get making this a very easy game for platinum/trophy hunters. Overall 5/10 enjoyment with a 2/10 for difficultly taking 2-3 hours to complete playing blind
Popular Post madbuk
#192 - Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 Ultimate Player Another game that @ahmedelebiary suggested I finish up... Except this trash wasn't anywhere near as enjoyable as their last suggestion, Call of Juarez. Okay, so maybe sports isn't really my thing. I really enjoyed my many hours with Quidditch World Cup, but other than that and the really short NBA demo that released a while back, this is the only sports game I've played. I wish I hadn't started it, I was hesitant to when it was on PS+ but people on PSNP convinced me otherwise so I figured I'd give it a shot. Honestly you spend more time in menus than you do actually playing, I probably only played about 40-50 games overall - and that was a godsend, because if I had to play every single one... I just don't understand the appeal, every match is identical to the last, and all you do is kick a ball around a pitch for 5-10 minutes. Yay? Exciting? No. I'm so glad this is done so I can finally delete it after 3 years, I'm almost definitely never touching a sports game again unless EA decide to either remaster/emulate Quidditch World Cup or make a sequel.

Popular Post ResidentScrub
#68 This is one of the most crazy games I ever played. It's probably the game in my backlog that I have been looking forward to getting stuck into the most. I've put off starting it a few times over the last few months because my expectations were probably too high, maybe unfairly so, and I was was worried about being a bit let down. While my experience wasn't perfect - low frame rates, at times so much was happening on screen that I thought I was fighting with the Tasmanian Devil and the game does like to ambush you quite often with what felt like cheap QTEs that had tiny response windows or enemies sucker punching you straight from a cutscene or as soon as you land in a new area....to be honest, I found the game a lot more challenging than I expected it to be (which isn't actually a criticism) and I pretty much found myself throughout the majority of my first playthrough wondering wtf was going on....once I was accustomed to the gameplay though it was pretty plain sailing. Despite it's faults though, it's an awesome game. Bayonetta is a great character....I love sassy female characters who kick ass anyway and she definitely lives up to that. I really enjoyed her innuendo and suggestiveness, I appreciate it probably isn't to everyone's taste but my sense of humour can be a bit immature at times (and I apologise not) It was also nice spotting the little DMC references and easter eggs strewn through the game. Combat was great and some of her combos and finishers were fantastically over the top but also an absolute spectacle to behold!! It was just a really fun game to play....I'm really looking forward to playing number 2 and hope the rumours about a 3rd turn into more than just rumours. Popular Post Dragon-Archon
#155: Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3: V Generation The third main game of the Neptunia series. This game had its pros and cons. It takes place in the same dimension as Hyperdimension mk2/Re;Birth2 and the story is funny. Plutia is a nice addition and her personality takes a 180 degrees turn when transforming into Iris Heart. Both friend and foe isn't safe from her sadistic personality. The final boss was also nicely done. The money grind was also a lot shorter than in Re;Birth1 as it only took 50-60 minutes to get to 50 million credits and grinding lily ranks could also be sped up thanks to some plans. Some things I didn't like was not having a real healer until the last part of the final chapter of the true and good ending path. The normal ending didn't even have that character available. In this game Compa isn't playable, so Rom takes over as a healer. In the meantime Plutia and Nepgear have some healing spells, but they can't revive or remove status effects. Stella's Dungeon was also a huge chore to do, so I eventually gave in and bought a DLC to speed this up while also keeping her equipment when dying. It was only €1, but I still felt cheated as this DLC was also released for Re;Birth2, so the developers could've just added it to the game. That DLC also came with a plan to increase EXP a lot, so I downloaded the free DLCs that increases the lvl cap from 99 to 999. Ended up with a party of around lvl 300 characters after obtaining the plat, so decided to do some of those DLC Colosseum matches that have a recommended lvl of 200 and 300. Popular Post AJ_Radio
# 79: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD (April 4th, 2017) Difficulty: 6/10 Excitement: 4/10 Time to Platinum: 12 - 14 Hours Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD is a 2012 skateboarding game released by Robomodo and published by Activision. The game takes on a arcade style of skateboard gameplay, with the ability to pull off combos no real person can perform. It takes classic levels from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2, with upped graphics and songs taken from the soundtracks, with a few new ones. I purchased Tony Hawk off of PSN last year in April for the Playstation 3, but never got around to it until a month ago. After boosting with a fellow PSNProfiles member for the online trophy I worked my way towards the platinum. After a couple hours I realized that this game was very boring and stale. The music selection is terrible, taking a few songs from the classic Tony Hawk games and added in a few new songs into the mix. You will be hearing the same songs over and over as you work your way towards completing all the objectives in all seven levels, and then replaying all the levels again for the projectives. After hearing Chuck D a hundred times over I had to turn off the music. It was too much. Tony Hawk's Underground came with a much better music selection and better soundtrack. I am appalled that Robomodo did not bother to add more music into the game, which would of made the experience a lot better. The physics are flawed. This game likes to throw the skaters around like a ragdoll every time you fail a trick. Tony Hawk has a steep learning curve, and it took several hours of play time before I finally got the hang of the game mechanics. Still that didn't prevent me from feeling very frustrated over silly objectives like collecting S-K-A-T-E, and later finding the skateboards as one of the projectives. Whoever thought collecting C-O-M-B-O (just like collecting SKATE but you have to collect all letters in one combo) in the Hangar was a good idea needs to be bitch slapped. I spent over three hours getting this projective done, because a simple mistake meant starting over from the very beginning. Collecting those skateboards in Downhill Jam was also a pain in the ass, making me wonder if Robomodo even playtested the game. Maybe my memory has failed me, but Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD in comparison to the old games was just a frustrating game to play through. It was a very disappointing journey, and Robomodo at the least could of added in some real life skater videos to get a glimpse of the skaters you're playing as. Reverts weren't even in this game until they were added in as a patch. All the video guides I watched on Youtube were posted before Robomodo added reverts into the game. I ended up wasting many hours trying my best to copy the moves they were doing, only to realize I could chain together combos with reverts. After landing a vertical I could go into a revert then perform a manual, eventually going into a grind without my combo ever failing. Gee, that would of been nice to know from the beginning now wouldn't it? Once you've completed all objectives and projectives there is little replayability to be found. As a matter of fact if I owned one of the old Tony Hawk games I was going to hook up my old N64 console and play those games to compare them to Pro Skater HD. There is virtually no creativity as Robomodo probably just saw the year 2012 as an opportunity to release a half assed game just to line their pockets. There are no skater videos, no cool intros, nothing beyond the most basic of features. Even certain skaters like Chad Muska were missing, and to add salt in the wound Robomodo felt the need to keep certain levels from past games locked behind DLC. If you want to play more than the seven levels provided you have to pay money. All in all Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD was a great disappointment to me. Some people don't mind the physics and the overall appeal of the game, but I for one wouldn't recommend this game. Unless you're a serious Tony Hawk fan who wants a little nostalgia, then play this HD edition and see how it works out. I felt a little nostalgia the first couple hours I played but that quickly wore off. Only buy if you really love Tony Hawk. Otherwise don't bother. When I did it, it was on update 1.03 I looked it up as well as the trophy list after I finished my first story playthrough, in the latest update. I thought I could use my complete save, but I read that in order for the glitch to work, I need to have completed the story in the old versions, not a newer ones. ? I didn't want to play though it another time in an old version, just for that trophy, and I wanted to complete the game on Crushing with the unlockable cheats, so I did the Speedrun trophy legitimately in my third playthrough, barely reaching it with about 5:10:00 play time. ? Had I known about the glitch, I would have canceled the update as soon as I inserted the disc for the first time. Oh, and I did get the accuracy trophy with a glitch. All I did was load an encounter, enabled auto lock-on, and kept shooting enemies until my accuracy was over 70%, then I quit to the main menu, load the epilogue and finished it, and I got the trophy as soon as the credits started rolling. This was in the latest update, BTW. Edited May 1, 2017 by ROBOCRIPPLE_
