Popular Post madbuk
#194 - Grim Legends: The Forsaken Bride Platinum This game is a hidden object/point and click adventure game, and while these games are generally shunned for being "trophy whore" territory, the genre is actually one of my guilty pleasures. Shameful, I know! This was better than the last one I played (Nightmares from the Deep), for multiple reasons. Firstly, and most importantly, there weren't any game breaking bugs (that I ran into anyway), so I could play it without a guide without worrying about doing things in an order that'd break the game. Secondly, the story was a little better too (still not anything too mind blowing), and thirdly, I found the variety of puzzles much more interesting than the ones offered in Nightmares. Not that Nightmares was bad, this one was just a lot better. I love how the puzzles actually make sense - a problem I find with point and click games that aren't HOGs in disguise are that the puzzles are so utterly obscure and random that there's no way you could've figured it out without either a guide or trial and error. Shame it's just as short as Nightmares though, these games rarely last more than a day even when you aren't following a guide
Omelette Paradise
Platinum #144 Mr. Massagy This was such a weird game. Very similar to My Name Is Mayo (by the same developers too) and a lot of the humour hit the mark for me ? Popular Post Sergen
Super Street Fighter IV (PS3): Platinum #92. Rarity: 0.77% Difficulty: 7/10 Time Taken: 100+ Hours Here it is, my first platinum trophy in over 4 months. I feel like this was a good return for me to get back into trophies with. This is an incredibly time consuming platinum, but this time it wasn't incredibly difficult for me because I had done the vanilla version previously. Some trials on this game do have strict timing and are likely to piss people off, but with time and patience anything is possible. I'm the 6th fastest achiever for this game currently on PS3 and I do intend to stack the PS4 version so I should be able to do the game faster there, but for the time being I might need a bit of a break from this game. I enjoyed this game more than the vanilla version and this game took me less time to get the platinum compared to the vanilla version, however this game does require more work to platinum it, it's just the vanilla version was my first Street Fighter IV experience so I had to learn everything from scratch. I am by no means good at this game, I'm just good enough to get the platinum, which is nothing compared to how the pros play this game. The trophy guide for this game on playstationtrophies.org is relatively garbage, because it links the wrong list of titles and icons for this game, the correct list is here: http://www.xboxachievements.com/forum/showthread.php?t=230743 I boosted From C to Shining C on my own with 2 PS3s, so I cut the time in half for that trophy, but it was still boring and took me over 30 hours to achieve. This game has an 8-player team battle trophy, which I used 6 PS3s for to significantly increase the lobby size and I must thank xDLloyd091x for using 2 PS3s in my lobby to fill it up, he also beat the shit out of 4 of my alts in the process. There are specific titles and icons for the online portion of the game, but the online on this game requires less wins in a specific way and all the health percentage requirements for this game were removed for the online. Arcade mode can be exploited by having a 2nd controller on hand, which allows you to fight your 2nd controller instead of using a continue if that controller presses start. When you need the titles for beating arcade mode on Hardest with every character, you can simply let your character die after watching the first cutscene and continue as Zangief, who has the lariat which combines all three punches and destroys most of the AI opponents. You can use Zangief until the last two fights, since you'll need to do the rival fight for your specified character, then you need to defeat Seth as that character for the arcade run to count. Trials can be exploited to some degree with pausing, but pausing them still isn't a free win because you need to be able to pause within frames, which requires fast reactions, but in a few cases it is easier to pause during a trial to get yourself ready for the next move compared to doing the whole combo in one go. I made a video demonstrating this with Gen's 24th trial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRh6_tXgBNo I made two other videos for the game as well. Both include my voice, I apologise if I don't sound great in the platinum video because it was nearly 4am when I got the platinum so I was obviously a bit tired. Popular Post ratchetdude231
Plat#21: Ratchet and Clank Into the Nexus Difficulty:4/10 Fun:9/10 Of all the Ratchet and Clank games I've played this is the one I've played the least. It came in a very strange time when I was ready to move onto the PS4 and I was sick of using the PS3, so I never really played this one anywhere near as much as other entries in the series. Overall though looking back on it I actually really like this game. Ratchet still feels weird just like in FFA, but everything else in this game is excellent. The new weapons were a great addition, and even though it definitely was on the shorter side of things it still had a Arena, a exploration area for collecting crystals and trading them in for bolts, a great challenge mode, and 3 armor tiers. This game has everything you would expect from a usual Ratchet and Clank game even with it being short. The Clank gameplay here is also great, and I actually think I prefer it over the ACiT Clank gameplay. Overall a fantastic game that is definitely worth playing if you haven't done so already. Plat#22: Ratchet and Clank Going Commando Difficulty:5/10 Fun:9.5/10 What can I say about this game that hasn't already been said. The original Ratchet and Clank was a great platformer, but this game just went crazy and basically is what gave us the Ratchet and Clank formula we all know and love today. Everything you see in a modern Ratchet and Clank game started in this game. Having your health increase as you play the game, having weapons upgrade as you use them, introduction of purchasable armor, arena battles, everything that makes a modern day Ratchet and Clank game addicting as all hell to play was first introduced in this game. While personally this isn't my favorite game in the series I completely understand why it is some people's favorite. Insomniac went insane with the addition of new features in this game, and those features just so happen to be what defines a Ratchet and Clank game today. I love this game to death, and I'm glad I now have the platinum for it.
Popular Post jacks
Horizon: Zero Dawn All trophies obtained Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 2/10 If I weren't such an Uncharted fanboy, this would undoubtedly be my favorite Sony exclusive, and probably remains as the strongest new IP in years. There are so many fantastic things to say about the game, that I wouldn't even know where to begin. I think if we are keeping it trophy-related, this is by far one of the better lists out there; you could literally go through the entire game without using a guide and still obtain the platinum, but that's because there's nothing overly ridiculous, there's VERY little in the way of padding, and the 30-40 hours you'll spend in this has you sampling just about everything the game has to offer, which is the perfect blend of accessibility and variety. I've said it once, and I'll say it again: pretty much everything in Horizon may have been done before somewhere else, but never has a developer been able to perfectly coalesce so many complex elements into a game that it becomes its own entity in just how well it's done. There's just so many different types of gamers that I can see enjoying this game, and that says a lot about it. In a year so crowded with amazing games -- and even the introduction of a brand new console -- this can easily sit as one of the front runners for game of the year. Though HZD is far from perfect, personally I'd rate it much higher than Uncharted (and I played all four games for the second time last month). Even though I have plenty of (very, very minor) complaints about what HZD could/should have done better, and even though I've named Breath Of The Wild as the new Best Game Ever, there's at least three things I enjoyed with HZD a lot more than with BOTW: The story was much more compelling (as much as BOTW shook up the Zelda formula, the story was pretty straightforward while I loved HZD more and more while I discovered more about the 2060s), the enemies appealed more to me and there was much more humour coming from the main protagonist. Popular Post Lightin_August
#24. Apotheon Omnipotence Second Platinum from an old PS Plus game within a week. That being said most of the work was done back when I played it between 2015-2016, just had to clean up a couple of stragglers. It's a charming enough little game, but I should probably mention, I've never had a game crash on me as consistently as this one did. Frustrating stuff at times, If it had a trophy for suffering game crashes I'd be putting it in my in my trophy cabinet as a cathartic exercise.

Popular Post ratchetdude231
Plat#23: Ratchet and Clank Difficulty:4/10 Fun:8/10 Finally decided to get this one after avoiding it for the longest time. I had my PS3 on for almost 12 hours just for the bolts trophy. Outside of though this is still a good game that sadly hasn't aged very well. It's a very bare-bones game compared to other Ratchet and Clank games which is kind of a given since this was the first game in the series after all. Plat#24:Resogun (PS3) Difficulty:5/10 Fun:9/10 I fucking love this game, so naturally I figured it would be a good idea to plat the PS3 version, and I gotta say the PS3 version is actually much better than I expected. Visually it looks almost as good as the PS4 version. Only thing it's really missing in the visuals department are all the particle effects which where very impressive on PS4. Outside of that all the content from the base game is on here and it plays great for the most part. My only major complaint is that it's pretty apparent that whoever did this port favored visuals over frame-rate. The PS3 and Vita version both run at 30 FPS, and with that the controls don't feel as responsive. It's not really much of an issue unless your playing on higher difficulties, and in my case I really struggled with playing the last 2 stages on veteran. Outside of that though everything else was pretty easy, but I definitely prefer the PS4 version just for the 60 fps alone. Brings back memories of when I first played it on PS2. Difficulty all really depends on how well you can complete the skill points. For me, the racing one on Barlow gave the most issues.
Popular Post Omar
#112 - Persona 5 Legendary Phantom Thief - Earn all trophies .Achieved: May 12th, 2017 .PSNP's RS: Ultra Rare .Difficulty: 3 .Enjoyment: 9 Persona 4 Golden was one of the biggest gaming surprises I have ever faced, so I made sure I was ready to be blown away this time around. Even so, Persona 5 manages to impress whoever has the dedication to go through its excruciatingly long story, definitely a journey worth seeing through! I planned things perfectly this time around and got 70% of the trophy set in my first run, mixing Normal and Hard difficulty to enjoy some challenge without compromising the fun. Once NG+ started, I went for Easy mode, as all I had to do was work on Confidants and Requests. At the end of my NG+ run, I noticed I had made the fatal mistake of missing on one request. Luckily, as a prepared man, I had a myriad of saves, so I simply went back to one and fixed the problem. My total time clocked at 200 hours and I have no regrets. Persona 5 is a game worth every second of your time, a delight for JRPG fans and a proud platinum to conquer!

This was my first telltale game and simply put it was amazing. I was skeptical at first of games that simply run like movies (I.e heavy rain or until dawn) but I think this made me a believer. The ending was left at a cliffhanger and would love to see what happens next. My favourite character was hands down scooter. Kudos for the voice actor and the writers for nailing his personality.
