Nauticus87
#151 - Salt and Sanctuary (Vita) I enjoyed it so much I did it all again once I saw the Vita had its own trophy list. #152 - Knee Deep I found this one hard to enjoy. The story was a mess and most of the dialogue lacked cohesion- especially when choosing 'strange responses'. At least it was short.

Popular Post Sunflower
#82 - Collar x Malice The hype I'd heard about CxM worried me that I wouldn't like it as much as I thought I would but wooooow this was an excellent otome game. All the routes are great - there wasn't any I disliked for once! And the lack of repetition in the routes was definitely refreshing too. CxM is now up there with Code: Realize (though I'd still lean towards Code: Realize still being the best) but I'd recommend picking up Collar x Malice for the interesting story and diverse routes.
Popular Post starcrunch061
PLAT #236 - GRYPHON KNIGHT EPIC Gryphon Knight Epic Collect all Trophies in Gryphon Knight Epic This game gave me fits back in July, but I came back to it, and it was quite easy. Go figure. I still suck at this style of game, but it's nice to have the plat. The game itself was so-so. A lot of critics savaged this, and I have no idea why. It played perfectly fine, if a little dull. The graphics are nice.

Popular Post nenugalimas
#141 Child of Eden: I started off absolutely hating the game but I ended up quite enjoying it towards the end. Its still not something that Id choose to play for fun but its definitely not as bad as my initial impression led me to believe. My biggest issue with it is the lack of gameplay customization and various quality of life features. One would think that a game that emphasizes going after high scores would have a restart level option so you'd be able to quickly restart if you make a mistake, not this game. Apparently it makes more sense to have to back out into the menu and launching the level again smh... I also found some parts of the game, particularly the first level to have way to many bright flashing colors. I ended up getting headaches after like 30 minutes of playtime. Which is, as far as I can remember the first time a game had made me physically ill. I ended up solving the problem by turning my TV brightness down, but its still an annoying thing to have to deal with. In spite of all my complaints and my lack of enjoyment with it, id still recommend the game. It is quite a unique and interesting experience. Its worth at least giving it a playthrough IMO. Popular Post Dragon-Archon
#162: Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book This is my first time playing an Atelier game. I was told this is a good game to start with, as it has no time limit, like in the previous games. At first I played it just like any other RPG and focused on defeating enemies to level up. However, the focus in this game isn't combat, but the synthesis system and gathering materials. In fact, the final boss is the second or so boss that's fought as part of the story. Sure, you can challenge other mini-bosses by buying rumours, but most of them are way too OP to take on early in the game. The story is expanded by interacting with specific NPCs and following their questlines. The synthesis system is pretty in-depth and also a bit confusing at first. At first the items that can be created aren't that great in terms of quality. Gathering better materials and searching for specific traits to inherit makes all the difference, as was evident by the post-game superboss Demon Lord. I farmed some materials from the Hidden Archive DLC area and thought the equipment was good enough, since the other post-game bosses were defeated with hardly any trouble. But nope, he kept defeating me and healing insane amounts of health. So I went back and created some better healing items and bombs, which worked wonders (though I still just barely won). Also the Demon Lord doesn't really understand the concept of turn-based combat when he gets a turn after every party member does something . Doll Making was also a nice feature, which allows a specific party member to change the stats and appearances. At some point I got something that resembles Gwendolyn's outfit from Odin Sphere and eventually I went with something that resembles the hooded white robe from Assassin's Creed. The Epilogue DLC is a nice way to end the game and it sets things up for Atelier Firis nicely. I may try that game at some point too.
Popular Post Justin__Harris
Platinum #24: Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour (PS4) Game Score: 7/10 Platinum Difficulty: 2/10 It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum... and I'm all out of gum. I haven't played Duke Nukem 3D since it was originally released when I was a young lad. I remember the days of my brother making a Terminator 2 total conversion with custom maps and the like and spending countless hours finding secrets. The game itself is okay, but even with the modern enhancements shows its age. It's still fun to play and I enjoyed the additional level they made for the game. I initially went with the long way to get the platinum, but then just decided to hurry up and get them with cheats and the like so I could simply play the game without any worry. So the platinum is either pretty easy without cheats or incredibly easy with them. It's too bad Duke Nukem Forever sucked. Maybe the rights can go to Bethesda and they can do to Duke Nukem what they did for DOOM and Wolfenstein. Hail to the king, baby! Kishnabe
Platinum #155: Iron Crypticle (PS4) The 2nd most enjoyable game I have played this year. Not too difficult but not too easy. Anyone weary of retro games, this is very doable. It only has local multiplayer but there is way to play co-op with an online friend (Shareplay). The only difficulty comes with the last boss on new game plus. If you set yourself up with stat upgrades, you should be fine. An extra controller helps to revive when on 1 health. There must be an active player, and enough life points to revive. You get 5 on Easy mode. If you are down 1 health, use the 2nd controller to get into the game. Player one dies, you can revive. Last Boss, I had him down to a sliver but I had 1 HP. I died, and regretted not using the 2nd controller...and reviving myself. When you revive you get 3 HP. Your HP gets bigger with level ups and as does your stat caps. Stats can be picked up from the floor if you chain food items more than 8 times. You can buy Stat upgrades from the shop as well. Popular Post IntroPhenom
Adam's Venture Origins, Hero of the Day This game is known for being a less-than-stellar game. I'll agree with that, but I won't agree with those who say it has no redeemable aspects. Had I paid full price, perhaps my tune would be different, but six or seven bucks is a good deal. The puzzles are genuinely challenging and the dialogue is hilariously awful. Game mechanics are sharp enough to carry you through, and I didn't experience a single glitch. Racing in the mine carts is fun, and only two trophies aren't tied directly to the story. I'm not at all sorry I played it.

Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#204 Lara Croft Go Ended up being disappointed by this one. Although technically it has more to offer than the Hitman one, it feels unpolished and rushed. There are constantly sections where it runs like absolute arse, lagging inconceivably bad for such a title. The game would also read inputs wrong on a regular basis. I also wasn't a fan of having to look at a collectible for 5 seconds, each time I found one. I expected more from this, but it's barely subpar. Popular Post Neapolica
#20 Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories This was unfortunately my least favorite KH game, but it was still miles easier to play on console than it was on GBA. I found getting Riku to 99 more tedious than collecting all the enemy cards, but that may be because I was blessed by RNG. On to KH2 at last!!
DesmaBR
Platinum #74 You're a truck racer, Harry Win every Truck Racer trophy. Well, this sure sucked. But it is an easy platinum, and it's an offering on this month's PS+ catalog, so if you want to plat it; I'd recommend getting it now while you can find a boost partner.
Popular Post scarishbal
# 137 - LEGO City Undercover When this game was first announced, I didn't have a Wii U plus I had no intentions of getting one. But I was delighted that it made its way to the PS4. I adore LEGO games. I played the original Star Wars (2005) on PC and it brought two great things together in an enjoyable way. So I have been following these games for a while but this game had its ups and downs. To start off, this is no different then any of the other games. Complete missions, replay missions, destroy stuff, and find all the collectibles. The story was fine and the humor was on and off. But I was surprised by the amount of references this game had. Once you get the story out of the way then the collectibles hang over you. First complaint. 305 fuckin' characters. That's just nonsense and it doesn't help that half of the characters look the same or contribute nothing. Also, the HUB world was needlessly huge. Don't get me wrong, I love open worlds. But this was just a little much. But once I widdled away at the collectibles, and as soon as I got 100% I felt the sense of accomplishment. I would recommend this game but just be weary. Up next is LEGO Batman 3.
Popular Post maxstirner_2015
# 51 Dead Nation (PS3) I earned the platinum a few months ago on vita and it felt a bit harder on some parts; the PS3 version is definitely easier and the trophy for killing 53k zombies happened to be faster to get because more enemies appear on the screeen at the same time. Other than that, quite simple but fun game.
Popular Post Omelette Paradise
#162 The Walking Dead: A New Frontier I finally got around to playing it at last ☺️ I really enjoyed it from start to finish and whilst not as good as the first season, I would say that it's definitely on par with the second season in terms of quality. I like that Telltale tried to do things a bit differently this time with flashbacks of what happened to Clementine at the end of Season 2 and bridging the gap between it and this third season. More on plot specifics in the spoiler box below. Overall this season exceeded my expectations and I found Javier to be a likeable lead character. He's no Lee but I thought he was a pretty cool guy. So here are some general thoughts plotwise. Please don't read if you haven't played the game yet...... Spoiler I found it a little bit galling that all of the effort I put into siding with Kenny in Season 2 pretty much counted for nothing. Whether you choosed to side with Kenny or Jane in the Season 2 finale, both of them will die in the first episode of A New Frontier. I had a feeling Telltale would do this because tailoring a different experience based upon one character or another surviving would have been double the amount of work that they already had to put this season together. Understandable but still kinda annoying. As far as my choices for this season, I made sure that Javier made out with Kate as I felt he was a much better match for her than older brother David who I found to be a completely loathsome character. It made sense too since David disappears for so long and Javier and Kate are basically left alone together to bring up Gabe and Mariana. Out of loyalty to Clementine, I sided with her from start to finish. Even on the one occasion where I didn't totally agree with her. I'm intrigued to see how her character arc develops in the final season because in her first appearance in A New Frontier, she comes across as an almost completely different character. She was very cold to begin when Javier first meets her. It did make sense though. She's been through a lot and lost everyone apart from AJ. Amongst the rest of the cast, Kate was a highlight for me. She was tough but also kinda vulnerable at the same time. I don't blame her for hating David. He sucks. Tripp and Jesus were very likeable characters amongst the others too. Both of them were cool dudes. #163 Lost Grimoires: Stolen Kingdom So this was my second plat of the day. I managed to knock this one out in less than four hours. It's your standard Artifex Mundi point & click game with plenty of puzzles and hidden object scenes. I have to say, this one felt shorter than the other Artifex Mundi games i've played and the puzzles felt easier too. I do enjoy these Artifex Mundi games. I find them very relaxing. Sometimes it's nice play a game that's not too hectic ?

It was really interesting playing all these games I have only heard about or seen gameplay of. A lot of them were throwaway titles I couldn't see myself playing for very long before getting bored, but there are some real classics in this too. You can clearly tell a lot of love went into the collection with its many unlockables interviews, official art, history of each game, etc. I had a lot of fun experiencing games that were before my time, and I learnt a thing or two in the process. Good stuff.
