Popular Post madbuk
#224 - Knack Knack is a great game. Yes, it is and I'm not saying that sarcastically. The level of challenge going through this game on hard with Basic Knack was just right to be satisfying but not annoying or tedious, the secrets were well-hidden and rewarding to find (I did use a guide on my second run to find them all though), and the general sense of progression you have when playing is great, it felt like one big journey instead of a sequence of levels, similar to how the God of War games function. Also, the combat was satisfying even though the dodge felt a tad unreliable. Sometimes it felt like it gave you i-frames, and other times it didn't. So it's best to just assume that the dodge never gives you i-frames and play carefully. There was a decent variety of enemies with different patterns to keep the combat feeling fresh and it's short enough to avoid becoming repetitive. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to have randomized loot, and have loot repeat, and have one of the loot drops be absurdly rare and require you to get 10 of them, is an idiot though. That mechanic really dragged the game down for a while until I finished the grind (which took far too long) and got back to actually really playing it again, at which point I started to really enjoy myself again. I hope Knack II has less of that garbage.
Popular Post DamagingRob
#267- Coffin Dodgers Retirement Collect all Coffin Dodgers trophies. Short and silly kart racer, where you play as a number of old folks or the Grim Reaper(but only after beating it once). Not exactly sure what it is rated, but it's a tad violent. There's some blood, and a person gets chopped in half in one cutscene. So, I wouldn't play it in front of young children, even though it may look harmless at first. Fits the month of October pretty well. Death, tombstones, zombies, etc. Hints at a sequel, which I would probably buy if it happened. It was fun enough. And didn't make me regret spending money on it, like Beach Buggy Racing did.. Nice little time waster in between boosting sessions today. Popular Post JaM
Nightmare's finally over... #201 Ys Origin Top of the Tower Obtain all trophies. The good dreams/stuffs first... That OST. make my life with grind a bit, well not really easier but a little bit of bearable sometimes I guess. That gameplay. What I enjoyed the most with Ys games are it's fun, enjoyable and addictive gameplay, and this game is no exception. I really didn't mind playing the games with same map layout over and over again... well, in normal mode, Nightmare mode is definitely a different case. And now the nightmare... THE NIGHTMARE MODE. No NG+ carry over, no Items, low exp and low SP drops. And the worse part, you have to do it 3 times with different characters... And what's more. There's the Arena mode that needed to be completed in Nigthmare mode as well. And the best part for me... Boss Rush... weee~ this definitely make me question if I am really good in these type of games - and the answer to that - I sucked. Took me 9 HOURS to finish it - or maybe I just sucked at using Hugo... maybe it will take me less time to finish it if I used Toal or even Yunica (just let me at least pretend that I will do better if I did the other way, even just for now) The Bright Side: It did crashed on my Arena mode runs but surprisingly, it didn't crashed on my story mode run and Boss Rush Mode run. It somehow proves that I am a more patient person now. I caught up in Game of Thrones (well, still 2 episodes behind and currently too lazy to finish it) and I watched it from Season 1. Overall thoughts: A very fun game, grindy for sure and the Nightmare mode is definitely a Nightmare for me. Would recommend to anyone that wants challenge and a masochist. It somehow makes me a bit less excited about YS VIII but for sure I will buy and play it, just.. not now. Popular Post Undead Wolf
#173 - Murdered Soul Suspect Moving On Collected every trophy in the game I played this back on PS3 years ago and I really liked it. I needed to earn some trophies to set up my 9000th trophy, so I decided to platinum this again. Good game. #174 - Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Harmony's Last Reward Acquire all trophies. And this is the big one. I love the Danganronpa series and have been waiting a long time for this game. I'm pleased to say I wasn't disappointed in the slightest; it's right up there in terms of quality with the other games. I've been playing this almost non-stop since it released, clocking in about 115 hours. It looks like I managed be one of the first 10 plat achievers in the PAL version, so I'm pretty happy with that. This game is very plot focused, so I won't go much into that. I will say that there's plenty of twists and surprises as you would expect. It's one hell of a ride. Great cast of characters too. The side content is far and above the side content in the other Danganronpa games, featuring a whole mini RPG that's actually very addictive. I probably spent like 30 hours on that alone. There's also a bunch of fun minigames to play as well. Well worth the money. If not for Persona 5, this would undoubtedly be my game of the year. I never want the killing games to end!

Popular Post Kittens Are Awesome
#84 & 85 Motorstorm RC Lunatics Unite! I now have all four Motorstorm trophy lists at 100%. I have a love/frustration relationship with the series. I keep playing them because they're amazing racing games. All three have had good to great aspects to them. Apocalypse was by far the easiest of the three, whereas, Pacific Rift was the hardest game I've ever plat, period. Pacific Rift is my only 10/10 difficulty 100%. I struggled with many aspect of it. Apocalypse was like a 3 or 4 out of ten. I think it's fair to give RC a 6/10. I might even give it a 6.5. Motorstorm RC took some time to get into for me. I'd pick it up periodically or boot it up on the vita while waiting in a lobby or something. Having that instant in-game cross save feature is really nice if you actually do play it on the go. The game plays and looks really good on the vita as well. In fact, it was only the ps3 version that gave me an errors. On the last day of my plat journey, my ps3 kept popping up windows with a save error. It was very annoying. The handling of each vehicle class really makes this game. I think if the game didn't have the rally and supercar classes, I would have given the game a 4 or 5/10. That supercar is the squirrel-iest vehicle in any racing game I've ever played. The rally car handled really strange too. Probably the thing I didn't like from the handling is being able to do a 360 in the air from a straight jump. Some of the physics didn't make any sense. You really need to hammer the courses and wonky physics to get anywhere. Once you do though, you're good to go. Overall, a really good series. I really hope they make one for the 8th gen. Highly recommend this series to any gamer out there, whether you like racing games or not. Edited October 13, 2017 by Phil

Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#214 - Apotheon Good game that unfortunately suffered from regular crashes (especially when opening chests). Furthermore enemy attacks can occasionally clip you through the floor/walls which leads to instant deaths. Another annoyance were the hit boxes that are all over the place. On a positive note the game offers an interesting art style and is a somewhat original approach to the metroidvania-style genre. Overall it was fun though, despite all the previously mentioned issues. Enjoyment: 7 Difficulty: 4 #215 - Earth's Dawn Initially I was in two minds about this one. The art style just seemed very awkward, which made me wonder if I'd enjoy the game. In the end it turned out to be a fairly pleasant surprise. This 2D hack and slash game was quite addictive and kept me hooked once I got past the first couple of hours. Nevertheless there were two things that I wasn't fond of. Firstly the skill system is an absolute mess and then there's the mandatory boss battle that the game forces you to take part in every 5 missions regardless of having the equipment or level to beat it with a decent enough rank. Popular Post Alantor32
Platinum #30: Gravity Rush 2 And I have earned my 30th platinum trophy. I must say, Gravity Rush 2 has given me more fun than I could ever enjoy and while I'm happy that I got this platinum, I'm a bit sad that this game has concluded Kat's tale and there is no hope for a third game. But I will always enjoy games that have a series that either ends at 2 or 3 games.

Popular Post Lars
#121: Wolfenstein: The Old Blood Another gem from Bethesda. After playing The New Order i decided to start this one shortly after that as well. This game is set before The New Order and tells the story on how the location of Deathshead compound was found. You again play as BJ Blaskowicz who infiltrates the infamous Castle Wolfenstein. If i have to compare the two the i liked the setpieces and story of The New Order a lot more but in this game i really liked it that the game seemed to be more focused on gunplay, instead of stealth, i had the feeling that stealth was often a much more difficult option and also the fact that most perks focused on combat instead of stealth. But i really enjoyed both games and this franchise has quickly put itself in my favourites. The collectibles again were fun to search and cleverly hidden. In general, fun game again. A lot shorter then The New Order, the only thing i didn't really like were the zombies. I know these games are over the top but this was a bit too much for me. After the story mode came the challenges, this is where it gets difficult. Most challenges are pretty challenging, that logic. You have to achieve gold which can only be done on the second to highest difficulty setting. Especially in the beginning it felt like the game was cheating a bit. That wasn't the case, i just wasn't used to the difficulty setting. Most challenges were pretty easy after a couple of tries but the Wulfburg Square challenge annoyed me a lot. That one was very difficult and had some very cheap deaths. The ironic part was that a method that wasn't working for many worked for me on the first try. The other challenges were all doable. Looking forward to Wolfenstein 2, day 1 pick up for me. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 9/10
Popular Post Kuro-Okami
#38-45 Uncharted Series (PS3 + PS4) Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - Enjoyment: 3/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Enjoyment: 9,5/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Uncharted: The Lost Legacy - Enjoyment: 7,5/10 Difficulty: 2/10 I'll just explain why i liked UC4 this much. It should be clear what i didn't like about the other games. First of all even though i wasn't able to enjoy the game series as much as others i absolutely do understand why people love this series so much. From a technical aspect every game is beautiful. Graphics are top notch, mechanics are fluent and even today they play pretty well. But i am not the biggest fan of those action parts. Especially the 1st one pretty much just consisted of those sections. I liked beeing able to explore more of the world in UC4. I especially loved their questioning of their doing, their interaction with each other. Not too long ago it was stated in a news that after beeing taken over UC 4 was changed drastically by their new leads. And their vision of the game was simply much more like what i wished the game to be. It still has it's big shoot outs which are obviously important in this game but the interaction with the world and the characters got much deeper imo. Sure none of the characters are too deep but imo they were able to get the most potential out of them. I liked playing with Nate, but i also loved to listen to their problems, thinkings and so on. Obviously UC4 is also technically a masterpiece.
Popular Post Condemned09
180 Yakuza Kiwami KIWAMI Obtained all trophies. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 I never got the chance to play Yakuza on PS2 so I was happy Sega decided to remake this game. The story and substories was great and of course the minigames was a blast to play. The Majima Everywhere system was a nice addition to the game and I hope Sega adds that in Kiwami 2. Yakuza kiwami is a perfect example of what a remake game done right. Kiwami is a must have for anyone who a fan or a newcomer to the series. The trophies are not too hard to earn most of them are straightforward however, the dreaded 100% completion trophy is there so be prepared to play a lot of minigames especially mahjong.

Popular Post Satoshi Ookami
√Letter You got all the trophies! (Dat spoiler Plat image, though xD) Okay, I've been hearing things about this VN from both sides. From the love side and the hate side and it seemed like the love and hate for this game is pretty much equal. So, I went into the game without any excessive expectations and... Maan, did it surprise me incredibly. It was MUCH better than I expected. Sure, I have to say that it was mostly the start and the end that hooked me (and the fact that it was based on the existing Nippon location ), the middle part of common route was pretty boring and (well... that actually is tied to the middle part) the fact that the game pretty much serves you answers in terms of characters since there isn't enough 'irrelevant' characters so you pretty much immediately know who is who. (Even ignoring the voices which made everything even more obvious ) Another thing regarding story. Daaaaaaaamn, those 3 bad endings... gee, that was some creepy factor there. o.O I was like... wat? when I finished Cursed Letter and Himegamori Hime. =D One thing that I would definitely omit from the game was the investigation part. Ignoring the bullshit Max Mode which served ABSOLUTELY no purpose since you could have just randomly picked up anything and if you exhausted all choices, nothing would change, sometimes, the order didn't really make sense and it was not really logical. In any case, I was more than pleased, I seriously didn't expect it to be that good. Aaaand... Gari best girl
Undead Wolf
@Condemned09 Congrats on getting the Kiwami plat! I will add that it's recommended you play Yakuza 0 before you start Kiwami, though, since that game sets up Kiwami perfectly and provides a lot of backstory. Speaking of, you should play it. Popular Post Charizarzar
#37- inFamous Second Son Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 2/10 I can see myself really getting into this series! Bought First Light already and might check out the older games at some point. #38- Amnesia Collection I'm gonna skip doing an enjoyment rating cause it wouldn't be very fair. It's definitely a tense, thrilling game but horror isn't really my thing. But it was free, and the stories in all three games were really good! I had to play something uplifting straight after I'd finished though lol. Difficulty: 6/10 Fairly straightforward with a guide but you have to stay on top of the collectibles and always keeping your bearings. I found it really easy to get lost, especially cause I'd sometimes get brought to a completely new area whenever I got killed.
Popular Post demonoutcast
#52 - Metal Gear Solid V Fun: 7/10 Difficulty: 5/10 Time: 134 hours Pretty fun open world game, however not as challenging and linear compared to the old metal gear games. My intentions were to get the definitive version over the summer but was glad I didn'tt. Eventually it became free for PS Plus which I took advantage over. Getting 100% in V was a huge grind but at the same time I had fun going through it. The trophy list is relatively easy; Complete the story, Obtain S ranks, Max out companions, Dispatch missions, etc. However doing all the mission tasks, side ops, and grinding for resources were a pain in the ass; I tried doing idle exploits but it went by very slow, so I ended up invading FOB's online and it drastically went faster. Mission tasks were very annoying to achieve (especially Backup Back Down on Extreme, I spent forever on that). Side ops got repetitive and tedious but they went by quicker all thanks to Stealth Camo
