Popular Post Masamune
Pure Platinum Acquire all other trophies. Honestly, I didn't think the game was as horrible as everyone says. Yeah, it's glitchy (froze on me close to 10 times, & the DLC glitched on my first playthrough), & that story makes zero since (think Alice: Madness Returns + The Evil Within + Dead Space)... Spoiler My best guess is that the MC really is in some kind of coma, & all this is just in his head. In the end, this one can't really compare to the main Dead Island games (it is just a spin-off), but at least this didn't have online trophies, plus the DLC was free too. I've played worse, & I don't think it deserves the amount of hate it gets (it was definitely worth the $2 I paid for it). Difficulty: 4.5/10 (most of the game is fairly easy, however the last set of fights at the end up it a couple points)Enjoyment: 6.5/10Time Played: N/A (2 days, 14 hours, 35 minutes) I finished the DLC trophies as well, so it's at 100% too. I also find it funny that this is considered an Ultra Rare plat on PSN.

Popular Post fantrig99
Golden Completed Earn all trophies Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 100/10 This game is part of the critically acclaimed JRPG Persona series, and chronicles the journey of a protagonist moving from the city into the small rural town of Inaba to settle in for a year. Along the way he meets many new friends and begins the journey of solving mysteries in this town relating to the Midnight Channel and the fog while experiencing everyday life. The story is very interesting and I'm intrigued by the mystery of this game plus the elements of Jungian psychology. Gameplay involving RPG dungeon exploration, experiencing everyday school life and the main highlight for me are the social links which involves character bonding. I think the difficulty of the platinum involves getting the Hardcore Risette Fan trophy which requires to get 250+ spoken lines from Rise (ended up with around 265), the fishing trophy (took around 10 tries), and completing the persona compendium (spent around 3+ million to purchase persona for fusion). On a personal level, this game deals with many things such as loneliness, sadness and other emotional feelings that I can relate to in life. Life is a journey and there's always something important or precious to be cherished. After around 172 hours of memorable gameplay one of the greatest JRPG gaming journey for me reached its conclusion. I enjoyed every moment of what the game offered and felt very sad that the story has ended. I will not forget that this great game has been a part of my gaming life. Thank you Atlus for making this awesome entry in the Persona series. All my affection for this game at the end are in this remix song: Edited October 15, 2017 by fantrig99

Popular Post Superbuu3
#180 - LA Cops Platinum Badge Only the best of the best earn the right to wear a platinum cop badge. This was one of those games that was way harder then people will have you believe. Its like a shooting only version of hotline miami, but more frustrating because its less fun, although when i got good i started to enjoy it a bit. This is one of those games with a deceptively high platinum rate. This has a certain skill threshold, although the super patient might be well equipped for this. Essentially your normal run will be a painful, even if you max out your characters, running out of ammo with good guns is a big problems, make sure you equip the assault rifle. After that Hardcore will again be aggravatingbut by the end you'll have the hang of it, but then you play on nightmare and the game mechanics change, as everyone has perfect aim one shot kills you pretty much and charges you in a hoard. Luckily you get more ammo so spray and pray is a valid tactic and you'll end up making noise in hopes to lure enemies into gunfire. I was enjoying it at the end of my run. If you get the team 17 pack that has this and a few other games when its on sale you can get a crap load of plats and a few 100% games for around a tenner. I've platinumed 3 of the games and enjoyed them i think there's at least 1 other plat left.

Popular Post Nauticus87
#167 - Squareboy vs Bullies Not much to say about this. It was a poor beat-em-up. If anything, it just made me want to go back and play TMNT: Turtles in Time. #168 - Alteric Fun enough but very short. The final boss drove me mad and badly needs a patch to fix. For those who are unaware: He is a square with 4 buttons, 1 on each side, which you have to hit to win. A lot of times the game wouldn't even recognise that I had hit a button even when my square head was passing right through it. Then, when I managed to get all 4 buttons he just sat there, on fire, refusing to leave like an unwanted party guest. I looked online and read that changing the language helped. Not for me. I beat him in Swedish, in Chinese, in French and in German. But sacré bleu, this persistant dummkopf kept on ticking. I eventually got it to work by choosing level 30 rather than 'continue' from the main menu. I was in Russian at the time and it was about the 7th time I had beaten him. Nostrovia! Popular Post Ala-Arska
Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits Spirit Master Collect all trophies That's the final boss for 'ya: a big blob of an eye. At least the Plat image is pretty nifty. Otherwise it's a downhill trudge from the very beginning. The story is the same as in every JRPG ever. It's a 'Best of' compilation of clichés and plot turns. I gave up on it early on. Chapters are divided between two parties, Humans and Deimos (demons). After hating each other they end up being best buds. Of course they do Each chapter ends with a protagonist having a macho bullshit tantrum and swearing to wipe out the other race. Which they never do (see above)... It's hard to root for either of the game's "heroes". They're both assholes, and not likable even one bit. I wish they'd both perished Voice acting is a beast of it's own here. "Worst acting ever" + "cringeworthy dialogue" = "Would you like some ham with that cheese?" Humans sound like wimps in battle, while the main Deimos brat does a great imitation of 'The Motherfucker' from Kick-Ass 2 Speaking of battles...they're slooooow. Each one takes f**king forever, which makes every attempt of grinding feel like a slow, crawling death. And of course even a simple attack has it's own animation, complemented with a whiskey voiced one liner. Thank God for Mute button! Seems like I'm taking crazy pills with this game. No one mentions these problems online, just telling 'how good it is'. Trust me instead, it's not. Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits was already badly aged in 2004. In 2017, it's a festival of pain to play through. Just for self haters, this one

Popular Post JavaNext
Been a while since I posted here... #48 - Gravity Rush 2 Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 4/10 A nice and easy Platinum, I felt it was easier than the first one even. It was a pretty fun experience overall, having said that, I was expecting a bigger evolution, the missions are pretty much the same as before and even the two new gravity styles got old fairly quickly. Presentation is where the game shines from the music, to the comic book panels to the much improved graphics. If you enjoyed the first you will like this, if not, it isnt going to turn you over. #49 - Saints Row IV: Re-elected Enjoyement: 8/10 Difficulty: 5/10 I saw this at a sale for 7€ so I had to get it, and for that price its really worth it. There is a lot of content here and I got a couple of laughs out of it. It does feel more like an expansion than a new game but oh well. #50 - NieR: Automata Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Difficulty: 2 or 7/10 My first Nier game and my 50th Platinum I thought this was very interesting experience I felt like it plays with your expectations quite a bit. I got a few endings very early on which messed with me a bit because I didn't know about all the endings.... Tha damn mackerel. There is a great amount of replay value here because you to play through the game 3 times to get the full story. The combat was simple but worked well but I got bored of the hacking minigame pretty fast, the game looks okay not bad but nothing spectacular but the soundtrack was great. #51 - Life Is Strange Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 1/10 I did not expect to enjoy this so much! Tbh I don't usually give these types of games (Telltale like) a chance, but since this was an original story it got me interested. And I'm really glad I tried it. The game looks great, the sound track is amazing and the characters and story is pretty damn entertaining. Can't say too much without going into spoiler territory so all I can is - Hats off to Dontnod! #52 - The Last Guardian Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 7/10 I have mixed feelings with this one, on one hand it was a beautiful and emotinal journey and on the other there are poor controls and more questions than answers. I liked the evolution of Trico's and the boy's relationship throughout the game but I still don't understand why they take kids from villages, who made all those structures, who is controlling the Beasts (the ball thing is a piece of techology imo), honestly I was left with a bittersweet taste when I finished the game. Oh and I hate speedruns... Spoiler Long post so have a Glados Potato

Popular Post KittiBear
#25 - Valkyria Revolution As a fan of the Valkyria series this game was really disappointing. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt when I popped it into my PS4 but man... What a train wreck. The writing is bad, the voice acting is bad, the story is bad, the characters are bad. The only redeeming quality, and the things that got me through to the platinum, is that the combat isn't terrible. It's not good, but it's also not bad. It feels like the game wanted to be a Musou type in terms of combat but fell short on the commitment so it just ended up being a little bit bland. There's no real difference in easy or normal difficulty when it comes to regular encounters, everything dies in one or two hits, but once you come to a boss encounter the difficulty is staggering. This games idea of a 'boss' is to give something 1000x the normal amount of HP so you can spend your life whittling down their HP little by little. I started in Normal but I ended up switching to Easy cause the bosses were just too tedious, even on Easy they were pretty bad, it wasn't hard it just too forever. I decided to see the game through to the end of the story just because and by the time I got there I was already kinda close to the requirements to the platinum so I figured I'd just go for it. It was now or never cause I knew when I took the game out of my PS4 I'd probably never touch it again ? I can't say I hate this game but it's bad. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
