Popular Post DamagingRob
#269- Eventide: Slavic Fable Platinum Unlock every Trophy. This was another entertaining hidden object game, and provided some much needed stress relief from my Killzone 2 Elite playthrough. :/ #270- Killzone 2 War Hero Collect all Killzone 2 trophies I don't know what more can be said, than what I just posted in a status update. But this was a real tough one for me. Especially since I don't really like FPS games all that much. I prefer 3rd person shooters. Died so many times(220) on my Elite playthrough, it wasn't funny. But after @Charizard and I spent all that time boosting the multiplayer, I had to try very hard for this one. Else all that time and effort would have been a waste. Popular Post itachi-destroyer
Trophy of Zeus Unlock all God of War® Trophies Difficulty : 4/10 (Only because of the last Challenge of the God) Enjoyment : 7.5/10 This game is a really good game but the worst God of War in the series in my opinion. I was a little bit afraid of playing the Vita versions but it turns out that I didn't have any problems with the trophies popping fortunately. The game is really straight forward and doesn't really have any horrible missable since you'll have to do a second playthrough for the speedrun trophy anyway. Speaking of which, they have been way too generous with this trophy because it requires to beat the game in under 5 hours and I did it in 2 hours and 38 minutes They made a great job with the port and I would recommend it to any Vita owners ! __ Trophy of Gaia Unlock all God of War® II Trophies Difficulty : 2/10 Enjoyment : 8.5/10 The second game in the series is a huge upgrade compared to the first one, gameplaywise and storywise too. Kratos feels less heavy and the new powers add some variety to the game. The trophies are all really easy and the challenge of the gods in this game might be the easiest in the main series so that's a huge plus considering the pain in the butt these challenges were on the first GoW. The story is the beginning of Kratos hatred for the gods and I felt more concerned with his story in this episode compared to the first one. The port is still a quality one and if you don't have it yet I definitely recommend it ! __ King of the Hill Unlock all trophies Difficulty : 2/10 (With a glitch) 3/10 (Without a glitch) Enjoyment : 10/10 The last episode of the Greek Mythology ! This third installement is everything any fan of the series could have hope for ! This game has the best gameplay of the series and it's a really joy to be able to literally anihilate anything or any GOD that dare stands in Kratos' path of vengeance When I played the game in 2010 iirc, I really thought it was going to be the end of the series and I didn't mind because the conclusion was epic and perfect for Kratos but the developpers decided to write a new chapter for him so I guess after obliterating Greek gods, Kratos will be able to continue his path of the destruction with the Nordic Mythology __ This is my first post in this topic and I wanted to do it the right way so I hope the long post doesn't bother anyone God Of War is one of my favourite IPs and I wanted to replay all of them again before the next installement in the series comes in 2018. Popular Post RavenScythe
#148 - Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey Congratulations! You gathered all the trophies! This is my least favorite among the Atelier games I have played. The open world was annoying sometimes because when you are lacking some materials, you'll have to go aaaaaaaaaaall the waaaaaaaaaay to a very faaaaaaaaaaaaar area just to gather additional materials and the areas are really big. Good thing at post-game you can synthesize a magic broom and there's also the airship to reduce the time backtracking. I also do not like the way of unlocking recipes here. It was fine at Atelier Sophie but here on Atelier Firis, it was getting tedious and too much of a hassle to unlock recipes. This is my first Atelier game where I didn't bother synthesizing Ultimate items. I felt like the Synthesis system was also quite a downgrade from the previous entries. Seriously, to even create Ultimate items you'll have to synthesize that specific item a lot of times just to "Master" it so that you could unlock some additional synthesis skills. I like the Atelier games but Atelier Firis, not so much sorry. I hope there's a lot of improvements on Atelier Lydie and Suelle. Alright for the time being, maybe I'll play a little bit of FFIX while waiting for .hack//G.U. Edited October 24, 2017 by RaveNScythE
Popular Post Yrva
Platinum #29: InFamous Second Son I didn't enjoy this game as much as I wanted to. I constantly struggled to stay interested during my first playthrough but things picked up near the end and as well as in my second playthrough. Trophies weren't exactly all that exciting or challenging and more so just boring, then again nobody has ever called this a hard game. As a big fan of the original InFamous games, I feel a bit disappointed by this one, but it wasn't by any means a bad game. Popular Post Kittens Are Awesome
#86 Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 The Ultimate I do enjoy myself a good fighting game here and there. I especially love it when they have tough trials. Usually, when I get into a good fighting game I enjoy a lot, I'll spend a lot of time on the multiplayer doing pvp. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy UMVC3 at all. I've never really been a MvC kind of guy to begin with. I'm not sure why I thought I'd like this one. It looked real pretty and the gameplay looked fun. I just can never get into these Vs games. I guess I was a shallow mofo when it came to choosing this one. However, since the requirements for plat aren't that bad and there are only a couple handful of really difficult trials, I decided to soldier on. I was lucky that a friend let me "borrow" the now delisted dlc characters so I didn't have to endure another handful of difficult trials. I would have eventually finished all of them. Glad I didn't have to though. The verdict: now, even though I did not enjoy this game at all, I do recognize that it's a good looking game with a good fight mechanic, although slightly broken, and a really good roster. If you are a Vs fan or a fighting game fan, I'm sure you will enjoy this game a lot. In the spoiler is a video of me doing the final trial along with the last trophy and plat...there's a tad bit of salt at the end. I had done that trial before, yet I could not perform for the camera. I tried for a couple of hours to get the first super to connect after the final anal ice cube. I have no clue what I was doing wrong. So yea, keep that in mind when viewing the saltiness.
Popular Post madbuk
#226 - Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor - Game of the Year Edition Rather disappointing game honestly. I had heard it was a mashup between Batman Arkham and Assassin's Creed, two franchises that I really enjoy... and I can see where that comparison comes from, but it's more of a mashup between a bad Arkham game and a mediocre Assassin's Creed with a pointless The Lord of the Rings aesthetic and a mediocre story. The nemesis system is the only saving grace of the game, it's very unique and offers a lot of variety. You could play this forever creating your own stories with the randomized orcs if that's your thing, but overall it didn't really appeal to me all that much, it was a neat idea that I found got old and tired towards the end. All the side quests and main missions were extremely repetitive and the DLC wasn't much better. Controlling Graugs is far more frustrating than it should be too, and the main character (honestly, the story was so forgettable I couldn't even tell you his name) likes to get stuck on objects while climbing so you have to try and free him so you can find another route. I don't think I'll ever be playing the sequel. Maybe if a GOTY edition is only £5 on sale like I've seen this one go for at times, but until then I'll be staying clear of it.

Popular Post AJ_Radio
Time to do some catching up... Platinum # 117: Metro 2033 Redux (September 27th, 2017) Difficulty: 3/10 Excitement: 8.5/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 15 Hours Spoiler A fun, enjoyable post nuclear first person shooter taking place in the Metro, a series of underground tunnels in and around Moscow. You play as Arytom, a young man eager to be a Ranger, a group dedicated to putting their lives on the line to save people in the Metro from potential threats. Arytom has never seen the surface, and never knew about the old world before it was destroyed by nuclear weapons. As the game advances, he learns more about a dangerous threat from the Dark Ones, a group of mysterious creatures with special abilities that affect the minds of those inflicted. Whether he saves them or destroys them is entirely up to you, depending on the moral choices you make throughout the game. Metro 2033 Redux is played from a first person perspective. You have your standard arsenal of weapons and some gadgets. Areas such as the surface and in various rooms require a gas mask, since the air is polluted. There are two modes, Survival and Spartan, both play slightly different from one another. Survival gives you an analog watch. Loading and reloading weapons is slower, rate of fire is reduced, and there is less ammo to find in the world of Metro. Spartan mode is more akin to the traditional Call of Duty experience, with more fast paced first person shooter action and plentiful of ammo to find. Regardless, two playthroughs are required to earn the platinum. What really made this game enjoyable for me is the environment and people you interact with. The Metro is composed of many stations, and most of those house people, some of whom you can interact with. There are stores to trade in weapons and buy new ones. Currency is used in the form of bullets, which I find a bit unique. NPCs aren't merely dull, there are various interactions they take which make the world of Metro more believable. Giving a kid or an old man one bullet helps gain a moral point, which are important in determining the ending to this game. A few NPCs join you on your quest to destroy the Dark Ones. They can easily hold up on their own, which was very nice to see as they all had stories of their own. The environment that is home to monsters and traps was done very well. There was a real beauty in seeing a former city in ruins while snow falls down. Definitely something I really enjoyed looking at, considering that Metro 2033 Redux is a remaster of the original on the PS4. Overall, it's a pretty good game. It has a pretty standard trophy list, nothing difficult and it can be played on the lowest difficulty setting. Metro 2033 Redux has elements of horror although I wouldn't consider it to be a horror game by any means. Metro is proof single player first person shooters can hold up very well. Definitely recommended. Platinum #118: Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered (October 2nd, 2017) Difficulty 6/10 (legit), 7.5 - 8/10 for Mile High Club Excitement: 8.5/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 20 Hours Spoiler I will admit up front that I am not a Call of Duty fan. Whether it's the series being pumped annually with new titles, or the seemingly glorification of the United States military in nearly every single game, I was never enthralled with it's progression. I'm not interested in multiplayer Call of Duty as it's basically the same multiplayer year after year it seems, with campers and players who have dead on accuracy. I picked up the Legacy Edition a few months ago just prior to the separate release of Modern Warfare Remastered. Bad timing I know. But all in all this remaster was quite simply pretty decent. The basic plot of the story is you play as Soap and Sgt Jackson. Russia ultimately plans to launch ICBMs at various targets across the world, led by Irman Zakhaev. Soap is deployed by the British Secret Air Service to do a series of missions against the Russians. Jackson is deployed to the Middle East by the United States Marines to stop a separatist group led by Khaled Al-Asad. Modern Warfare has a few plot twists to keep the player engaged. To be fair, the story in this game is actually pretty good. The game has the traditional Call of Duty experience. Fast paced with plenty of enemies to shoot and plenty of headshots to score. Modern Warfare sports a good amount of weapons, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. The controls are good and the game itself is pretty fluid. I experienced no crashes or major glitches while playing this game. Characters were alright. Captain John Price is perhaps the most memorable, as his cigars and wit give him a sense of charm. The others I wasn't too impressed with. Sergeant Griggs accompanies both Soap and Jackson on their journeys, and is probably the only other character I can really recall being a good ally apart from Price. Zakhaev was done fairly well, although his screen time is pretty limited. Not the best cast of characters, but good enough for a Call of Duty game. Difficulty wise Modern Warfare Remastered does offer it's share of challenge. Veteran difficulty can be a bit frustrating at times since it may be difficult for you to score a headshot from a far distance. Many of your deaths will come from you not being fast enough to kill an enemy, or an enemy manages to shoot you down before you know it. Towards the end the difficulty is ramped up a bit as enemies hide behind boxes and sometimes have shotguns with them, which are very deadly on Veteran. It's pretty standard for Call of Duty. Mile High Club, an epilogue level only unlocked after beating the game, is one of the most bullshit levels I've encountered. The goal for beating this level is to safe a hostage from execution. Unfortunately that means fighting your way through a horde of enemies, and what they do is completely random. Most of the time, you're going to die a lot. After 50 - 100 deaths the pattern becomes pretty noticeable, but the sheer randomness involved makes Mile High Club a complete pain in the ass. After two hours of trying I was starting to lose my sanity, until the game decided to give the run to me and have me beat the level. Mile High Club from my understanding was pretty infamous on the original Xbox 360 version. Here it's not any better. If you're a Call of Duty fan then you'll definitely get enjoyment out of this game. There's not much more I can say about this. It offers a solid story and the graphics for the remastered version were done really well. There is multiplayer if you so choose to play with friends. I will recommend getting the standalone version. Do not buy the Legacy Edition unless you want both games, which unfortunately was the only option to get Modern Warfare Remastered upon release. Popular Post Redgrave
#114: Hastur - ICEY I was waiting for this to go on sale since I had a feeling it wouldn't be very long and thought $15 was still a bit much for it. That said, I thought it was surprisingly good and the ending got me better than I thought it would. I also felt like the creator was projecting himself onto the Narrator at times but in a good way, especially during the part where you can sit in a room and he gives you a couple trophies and talks about how it makes devs like him feel when people only want to play their games for the trophies. That part made me feel for him. Especially later on when he says it took the game ten years to make. But trophies or not, it's still a good game I thought even if it's not long at all. So it definitely gets a recommendation from me. Edited October 25, 2017 by Redgrave
