Popular Post B1rvine
Number Nine Ticket from Grim Fandango Remastered Shocktober / Halloween / Horror Plat #3 Got my golden ticket on the platinum train. Nice lil' point n click adventure game that reminded me of some childhood games. If you have a choice between the Vita and PS4, play it on the PS4. Some important stuff is really hard to see on the Vita screen. Edited November 1, 2017 by B1rvine
Popular Post DamagingRob
#272- Oxenfree Leave Possible? Collect all trophies. God, the presentation of this game was wonderful. Voice acting, story, music, and atmosphere were all so good. I had to play through it 4 times, because I missed a trophy by playing blind the first time, though. But it isn't that long, and making the choices you want before targeting the trophies may be the best way to go. The game is pretty much walking around an island that you, your new stepbrother, and some friends decided to visit late at night. But when you use your radio in a cave on the island, something weird happens. And our supernatural tale really kicks off. I hate to say anymore than that, as it will spoil the story. But it is really, really good. I became hooked quickly, and binged the game in one night. And between different endings, different dialogue choices, and new material in New Game+ playthroughs, there's quite a bit of reason to play through it multiple times. There's also the trophies, of course. And speaking of endings... Heavy spoilers, so read at your own risk: Spoiler I'm not even sure what ending I like the most. I mean, bringing the brother back to life is great and all. But then Jonas is no longer your stepbrother, and I'm guessing his dad stays single instead of marrying your mom. But, on the other hand, your real brother lives, your parents don't get divorced, and everything is great. For you. But you lose the stepbrother you really bonded with over the course of the game, and your real brother continues to live in a town he wanted to leave. Really tough choice.. Anyways, yeah, I highly recommend picking this one up. It's a great experience. Spoiler

Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum # 119: Crash Bandicoot (October 7th, 2017) Difficulty: 7/10 Excitement: 6.5/10 Time to Platinum: 12 - 15 Hours Spoiler Honestly wasn't too happy with this one, despite Crash getting a nice new look for the newer generation to play. As a total newcomer to this franchise, I wasn't struck by nostalgia when I played through Crash like many others here who did play Crash back in the 90s. I recall gaming magazines with Crash Bandicoot on the front cover along with screenshots of the original PS1 games. I never had a Playstation as a kid, I was a Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog kid deep in my heart. I guess I wasn't too excited to play Crash so many years after he was made a mascot for Playstation. The game is a linear platformer, with some levels going vertically while others are sidescrollers like the classic sidescrolling games. Wumpa fruits is Crash Bandicoot's version of Mario coins and Sonic rings. Collect 100 and you gain an extra life. Gaining lives is easy due to a couple tricks you can do. The platforming is the reason I am giving the excitement rating a 6.5 out of 10 and not a 7 or higher. For a game that offers some punishing Gold Relic requirements, the platforming is flawed. Due to the wonky mechanics, I died many of times trying to make a precise jump. The High Road is the best way to see the flaws in this game. Whether it was my lack of skill with the controls and timing or just a string of bad luck, I could not do this level under the Gold time. Jumping feels off at times and I died trying to jump on turtles even when it looked like I was about to hit them. I guess I wasn't quite close enough to jump on the turtle and bounce off of it. Other times in other levels I couldn't help but feel the platforming was off. Crash Bandicoot was meant to be difficult, and while I heard it's not as punishing as the old original PS1 version, there were times when I felt the game was messing me up. Levels range from jungles to avoiding boulders to navigating through a factory with machines. The bosses were amusing and weren't hard, just a bit of trial and error was needed. All levels offer tokens which grant you a bonus stage if you collect three of one type. Collecting the gems requires every box to be hit and beating the level, colored gems in particular require all boxes to be hit and smashed open and beating the level without dying once. This will likely require a couple practice runs as you probably won't beat most of the levels fully on your first try. Gems are required to smash all the boxes in certain levels, so you'll need to replay the level again to get the boxes you missed. Gold relic times weren't too bad to get, although a couple of them were very strict. Platinum relics require a flawless run and complete knowledge of the levels ahead of time. Thankfully there are no trophies tied to platinum relics, as that would pull my hair out in sheer frustration. Overall Crash Bandicoot is not a bad game and is a fairly short one at that. I was disappointed to know that there were only two cutscenes in the entire game. I wish Viscarious Visions would of worked on a few more cutscenes although they are not necessary to enjoy the game. I died a lot going for the platinum in this game, and I spent three hours getting the Gold relic for Stormy Ascent, which is a DLC level that can be accessed at any time. Crash 1 isn't a favorite of mine, and I hope the sequels will offer a little more variety in the platforming. Since all three games were remade by Viscarious Visions using the same game engine, the problems I had with the first game will probably be in the sequels as well. Only time will tell. stellanovas
Lord of Ironrath Complete Season 1 of Game of Thrones Honestly if it weren't for Asher I wouldn't have finished this game, didn't really like it - and I LOVE the show! Bit of a disappointment tbh. Took me a while to finish Chapters 5 and 6 after a break. At least it's done - won't pick up S2 unless it's free on PS+ like this one was.

TWICE! I prefer Season 3 over Season 2, mostly because the episodes weren't as boring and the side characters were just more interesting. I also thought the game performed decent on the PS4, until it crashed.

Popular Post Abbey97
Halloween Platinums! A big shout out and thank you goes to @Toogie53 for hosting the 13 Plats of Halloween event! #73: Claire Completionist Acquire all Trophies! Well this is another one that's going into my Gem box! This is such as brilliant and detailed little game which follows Claire as she tries to find her way back to her Mother's hospital room. I loved playing every minute of it as I found myself wanting to know more and more about Claire as I went through the story as nothing seemed to make sense at first, but as you get towards the end, you discover a shocking twist which, frankly, I didn't see coming. The game is quite scary in it's self as you have all these enemies that you can't fight against, and you can't really see much which makes it quite tense to play. You also have to carefully think about Claire's sanity throughout the game as she is easily frightened which, on the Nightmare difficulty, can result in her dying. It is definitely worth buying so if you are on the fence about buying it, then I'd say go for it as you won't be disappointed with the game. Thank you @GarciaFever for your amazing guide and @dernop for your amazing maps! #74: Resident Evil Platinum Splattin' Em! Earn all trophies! Someone needs to tell me why I haven't played these Resident Evil games before because I don't know why I haven't. I literally loved playing every minute of Resident Evil! The story was brilliant and I love how you get two different perspectives from both Chris and Jill. The story starts with the STARS team trying to locate their missing team members in the Raccoon City Forest but it quickly evolves into something far more sinister. I found that both Chris and Jill were excellent characters and I actually cared about them enough throughout the game, which then made me want to care for them and look after them even more, if that makes sense. The gameplay was really fun as well as I did find it tricky to start off with but as soon as I got used to it, it was like I'd played it a million times already! As for the trophies, they provide a brilliant challenge for any player but not too much of a challenge to be a frustrating one so when I got the platinum yesterday, I felt so happy with it! A big thank you to @DarkHarmonixer for their fantastic trophy guide as you helped me so much and saved me a ton of playthroughs and backtracking! #75: Resident Evil 0 Wanna Go For A Ride? Earn all Trophies! Well this is now up there with my favourite games as I absolutely loved everything about this game! I loved it so much that I decided to make it my 75th platinum! It just takes everything from Resident Evil and just ramps it up to an amazing level! The story starts off just before Resident Evil as you take control of rookie STARS member Rebecca Chambers, who is sent to investigate a train in the middle of the Raccoon City Forest and to try and locate convict Billy Coen. However, after finding Billy, she finds herself on a dangerous and evil journey to discover the truth and to just stay alive long enough to tell someone else about it. The gameplay is brilliant as it takes everything that was good about the first Resident Evil game and improves upon it by adding a new "Partner" feature which allows you to take control of both heroes. The trophies provided an extremely good challenge for me and I feel so proud about the fact that I've managed to platinum it! I'd definitely recommend this game to anyone as I think everyone would enjoy this game so much! A big thank you to @DarkHarmonixer for their fantastic trophy guide! #76: Alien: Isolation Alien: Isolation Unlock every Alien: Isolation trophy! My Gem box is getting bigger and bigger as this is yet another one that is going in that box! I genuinely loved this game as it terrified me on several occasions, made my dog jump a couple of times and also made me poo my pants a couple of times! If you are in need of a good scare, are very constipated, or just want to play an excellent game, then you should totally play this game as this will scare you so much and will provide you with an excellent story line and loads of memorable moments! You take on the role of Amanda Ripley, who is the daughter of Ellen Ripley from the iconic Alien films, who is trying to find her mother. After she receives an offer to travel to Sevastopol to listen to the black box recorder found from the Nostromo, she ends up trapped and fighting for her life against the indestructible Alien. I'd recommend this game to anyone and everyone as this is one that no one should miss out on! Thank you to @simula67 for your brilliant guide! #77: Kona Hall Of Fame! Unlock every Trophy! I promise that this will be the last time I say this today but this is going in the Gem box! This absolutely surpassed my exceptions as I just brought it when it was in the sale and I wasn't expecting much from it. But as soon as I loaded it up and started to play, I knew that I was wrong. Kona has a thrilling story that takes place in the snowy region of Lake Atamipek in Canada in the 1970's. You take on the role of Private Investigator, Carl Faubert, as he takes on his latest investigation into the vandalism of the General Store but upon arriving at the General Store, Carl finds that there is much more to the quiet town that meets the eye. This is an amazing story with loads of depth and detail that you'd be mad to miss out on. So the next time it's on sale in your region or you want to buy it full price, then just buy it as you will be in for a major treat! Phew! That's all of the Halloween platinums I got yesterday so if you read all of these, then thank you for reading them, it means a lot to me! Hope you all had a Happy Halloween!

Popular Post Dragon-Archon
#165: Senran Kagura Estival Versus The sequel to SK Shinovi Versus, the story is much better compared to SV, because it's one story instead of 4 stories events happen differently based on which school is selected. The story is about how all the groups are transported to another world by Asuka's grandma Sayuri and there they must train hard to become better shinobi in order to prepare for the arrival of a yoma that awakens once every 1,000 years. The Shinobi Girl's Heart stories are funny too and some continue from those in Shinovi Versus. Homura is still my favourite character. Miyabi, Yumi, and Asuka got some pretty OP ultimate moves. One thing I didn't like was how locking on didn't guarantee a character would attack towards the locked-on target, which is especially frustrating with slow characters like Yozakura.

Popular Post TwilightSpira
PLATINUM 152/MILESTONE 10.000 - EVIL WITHIN 2 Date of achievement : October, 31, 2017 Enjoyment : Difficult: 7,0 Hardest Trophy: You Asked for it...Again Evil Within 2 is the sequel to the cult/now classic survival game from Tango Gameworks. Evil Within 2 takes place 3 years after the events of the original game, in which Sebastian, now a ex police cop, sees himself drowned in sorrow with the disappearance of his wife and the death of his daughter. Still hunted by his experience in Mobius, Sebastian is unexpectedly visited by his former police agent Kidman which informs him that the nightmares he witnessed with the death of his daughter were all manufactured and that he's daughter is still alive. Against his will and still confused with the reveal, he is presented with the chance to amend this predicament, leading him back into Mobius, Just like it's predecessor, expect this game to be very similar in gameplay, played in 3rd person perspective, Sebastian must find, craft, collect tons of collectibles, weapons and skills in order to survive this perilous ordeal. This time however, it's clear that the developers took all that made the first game what it was and tweaked a bit with some new stuff, the result is a game that is clearly more polished, even trough it doesn't mean it's better than the first in all aspects. For instance, the addition of new modes like shooting gallery was a very nice addition. However the lack of Akumu mode, was to me at least a bittersweet. I really loved the challenge of the first game, so seeing the absence of it really left me wanting more, sure classic mode is here but in the end isn't as hard as the former. Furthermore, the game successfully embraced the horrors that made Sebastian act like he did, the chance to experience his traumas in a more personal level was very fitting, making this game a worthy sequel to the cult/classic Evil Within. This is by far one of the best games I have played in a while. The story was really amazing in all parts. The graphics are amazing, I had no framedrops or whatever and the open world is huuuuge. Popular Post Superbuu3
#184 Everybody's Gone to the Rapture This Pattern is Mine You got them all. You got them all. I couldn't help but directly compare this to Ether One, I significantly preferred this, in walking sims graphics makes a huge difference to the immersion and I genuinely felt like I was walking around a quiet town in England. The story and level of mystery had me curious altohugh towards the end of the game I point occurred where I didn't particularly care about certain characters, theres like 5 stories. If you do like these exploration games or wonder what England looks like I think this does that part excellently. To any would be trophy hunters out there a big warning I'd give for anyone is when going for the radio enthusiast trophy do not interact wih the first memory and you are allowed to press X to open doors without voiding the trophy. The main trophy video that comes up for this game has numerous comments about how the guide didn't explain this, if you want a full walkthrough just look for similarly titled videos that have a 30 minute run time and they'l show you how to get from each radio to the next without you having to worry about getting lost.
