Yoey_666
#190 – Eekeemoo I have no idea when I bought this game, but it must have been on a sale or whatever because this game is just good for a fast platinum. You have to collect some things while you smash square for like two hours. Reminds me on Orc Slayer with another setting.

Popular Post Meacham
#226 3.71% rarity on 05/11/17 My experience A fantastic game it has to be said. I wasn't on planning on doing it for a while but I remember around E3 number 2 was announced and that looked really good trailer wise. I thought I'd wait for this one to go on sale and buy it as soon as it did. Luckily enough it did a couple of weeks later and to be honest it was really cheap and so was the season pass. Starts off simple enough, you get called to a crime scene and from there things get hectic. As soon as you open them doors for the first time, the game is intense and quite creepy. The deeper you get into the game and learn of the plot it's actually really, really interesting. It's not just your typical survive the Zombie/Monster game. There's an actual reason why they are there and are actually like that. I would say that the characters aren't all that fleshed out when it comes to main story progression. Like Sebastian the character you are, there doesn't seem to be much to him as in he just comes across as your typical detective but that's not quite how it is. You learn of players backgrounds etc through the collectibles. So if you play the game and go for the collectibles I'd suggest giving them a read. I played through the main game 3 times which is the recommended for platinum. Highly recommended in fact. The first was without upgrading on survival. New to the game, didn't know what to get, didn't know where I was going or had any idea what was coming up. Thought it was pretty tough at some points to be honest even for the "medium" difficulty. Then upgraded absolutely everything and went on a speed run, completing the game under 5hours. I think I managed 4hours 36minutes. Wasn't too bad. Voice acting was okay, the most noticeable voice is Yuri Lowenthal who plays Joseph Oda. Sebastians partner. I thought he had some great voice acting when he was talking and during certain scene and DLC. Then Akumu mode. This is why the rarity is so low, it's definitely a platinum breaker for some people and I could see why. I was a little nervous going into it to be honest. I thought of Chapter 6 and 10+ specifically but it actually wasn't that bad. Especially since you could upgrade, very important if you want a more peaceful playthrough. I had the most trouble in chapter 11. I wasn't at it long but there's a part where those sideways elevators to get your from A to B and there's a ton of monsters on your right and left shooting and throwing molotovs at you. I died there the most to be honest. It's not so much difficult it's just you've got to be really precise and quick with your shots. If you're worrying about starting this game due to Akumu don't be. It's a challenge but to be honest, the games actually really forgiving. The auto-saves and checkpoints were all there from the lower difficulties and they happened after each big section mainly so it wasn't at all that bad. All I will say about this is. Shotgun, Flash & Shock Bolts are your absolute best friends. Rifle is very good as well but them three are absolute boss when you've upgraded them. Trophies Like mentioned above, the only reason the platinum is so rare is due to Akumu but other than that they are really simple. Kill 400 enemies. Story related trophies. Chapter specific, Collectibles and difficulties with a couple of miscs. Majority are really simple to do with the acception of Akumu. To be honest, there's a great guide on youtube if you get stuck by user Jigsaw Killer. He had some fantastic ways on how to beat certain sections, you wouldn't believe how simple they are. Especially Chapter 6 at the start with the hordes, also chapter 5 etc and just in general getting past certain sections. DLC This is one of the rare cases where DLC is actually worth the money. It's 3 great pieces of DLC and they answer a lot of questions from the main game which in a way is actually annoying if you think about it. You have to play the DLC in order to fully understand everything and everyones motives. The first two are a two part sequence. You play as Kidman, Sebastian and Josephs rookie detective. It's set at the same time as the main game. In the main game you rarely see Kidman and the DLC shows why and what happened during her journey. Again a lot of the collectibles have some backstory on stuff and why characters do what they and why the world is the way it is. Very recommended if you want to play the game. The third is where you take control of The Keeper an actual boss enemy from the main game and it's set after the main game I think. There is a reason as to why you are a Keeper but it's best left to play. Pretty straightforward just finish the enemies you've been tasked to do so. Popular Post Dragon-Archon
#167: Lone Survivor This is one of the games I never expected to play. It's not really my genre, but someone had been bugging me about how great this game is for a while now. So I made a deal: he would play Persona 4 Golden and I'd play this ... truth be told I never expected him to accept . The game isn't as terrible as I expected, but just barely. It also wasn't even close to the supposedly hidden gem I kept hearing about. The protagonist is seemingly the only survivor in a world where a zombie outbreak occurred. To deal with these walking dead, the Lone Survivor (who is called You) has to stay sane. That turns out to be a bigger chore, as simply drinking 2 cups of coffee or playing a video game twice per day negatively affects the mental health. You also suffers from hallucinations and amnesia. Besides that, there's the usual scavenging for food, supplies, looking for other survivors, and trying to figure out what happened. The story is ... well, pretty much non-existent. Things are implied and that's basically it. It's up to the player to make something of that. There are bosses ... sort of and these are dealt with by running away.

Popular Post Superbuu3
#188 Dust: An Elysian Tail Mithrarin Awakening Fifth plat this month, although I think now i'm going to have to slow down as I'm not sure what to play next. This game is a metroidvania style game and is excellent fun. The animation, visuals, story will have you immersed in this game. The combat is great for the first half of the game, the problem with later in the game, is Dust doesnt gain any extra combat moves and there's a special called the dust storm which is easily spammable. The other problem is the final level there's loads of characters on screen and its impossible to follow combat at also spam attacking is the most effective thing to do. Overall though this is a game that I think is worth playing and I'd recommend it to others any long term PS plus subscribers already got it free. The game also has very likable characters, which will make your whole journey a lot more enjoyable. The trials of which there are 6 might infuriate some, but i managed to get through all of them in 5 tries on each and I don't consider myself an expert gamer, so it will be easy enough to 100% for anyone.

Popular Post DamagingRob
#273- Starwhal Cosmic Baller Unlocked all game trophies. I don't think I can say it any better than I did in my KYC review, so I'm just gonna copypasta that here: (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ . Nothing more needs to be said? Fiiiine... Starwhal is a very challenging game. There are 32 challenges, and to get a Platinum medal on some of them, you need to have just about perfect runs. Some took me over a hundred tries, no joke. The first level I encountered where you can actually die, I earned the trophy for 100 deaths on before leaving it for awhile and trying the other Medium and Hard ones. I now have the Platinum firmly in grasp. I just have to idle my way to 1,000 deaths, which I have my PS4 doing as we speak. But it was no easy feat. The physics are so awkward and the obstacles so tricky, that it takes a certain amount of determination, skill, and luck to complete all of them with Platinum ranks. You will be dodging fireballs, trying not to fall into acid, breaking ice blocks, and trying to bounce the way you want off of bouncy blocks. All I can say is, good luck. Lol. Try not to get discouraged and watch videos to find the best way to go about things, because some will take you a lot of attempts to perfect. Something I didn't mention in my first post, is that there are a bevy of customization options for your narwhal (not swordfish, as was pointed out to me by a certain someone). You can choose a number of different colors, throw on an afro, a silly outfit, or even have a mini astronaut (with one of the developer's faces on it?) ride on its back. Below I've included a few images of the different options available: Spoiler The first two are without a doubt based on Street Fighter characters. I used the top one for my entire playthrough, and call him Guilewhal. The last has one of three lightsaber noses you can choose (red and blue being the other colors), and one of the mini astronauts. So yeah, I'd say I enjoyed the Challenge portion, despite it being a really tough challenge for me. The multiplayer... not so much. But it worked out pretty good yesterday, as I just grinded those out while watching football. I'd probably give it somewhere between a and a rating, though, 'cause having more than half your playtime be mindless grinding isn't a good thing. Popular Post Avalynch
6.89% VERY RARE Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Shopkeeper has wares, if you have coin. As long as there's an available shop in the area, there aren't many places you should find too difficult. Berserk potions were my key to survival on Nightmare difficulty. If the Jamaican frogs weren't in the game, enjoyment would probably drop to a 5/10. Those frogs are great.

Popular Post dmsleight
Zombie Tycoon 2: Brainhov's Revenge Zombie Overlord That is #71! I was expecting something a different from a 'tycoon' game. Idunno, maybe something that including building/designing zombies? Anyway, the game was fun enough. Nothing exceptional, but worth a go. The early levels were quite easy, but the latter stages gave the game a little meat. Chapters 7 and 8 in particular. Nothing too demanding, mind you. The MP seemed like it would be fun, but I don't really care for mp. All in all a fairly easy plat.
