It's more open-world, but the story is much better, and outfits/weapons are awesome. Bunch of DLC too Yep I know, and I do love it. In fact, I've the 100% since last year on PC. Would love to go for it again on PS4 too.

RedRodriguez87
Legendary hunter An over-the-top camera shooter with right stick aiming. Nothing great, but not bad either. The game crashed more than I like my games to, but fortunately nothing corrupted. If I'm correct, this was ported from a PS3 version, so to those who can get their hands on it, that would probably be the best version to play.

Popular Post Dragon-Archon
#173: The Legend of Heroes Trails of Cold Steel Where to begin? I'd heard a lot about this series, but never got around to playing it. Bought this game about a year ago during a sale and it's been in the backlog ever since. That was a grave mistake, for me this game is a sleeper hit. The story is great, characters are diverse, the combat and quartz system is nicely done, and it has some great soundtracks (To Become the Foundation of an Era is by far my favourite). My favourite characters are Laura, Fie, Jusis, Crow, Emma, Towa, and Sara. Some characters were annoying at first, but luckily there's lots of character development. The story centers around Rean Schwarzer who enrolled at Thors Military Academy. He's placed in the newly formed Class VII, which has students from both nobility and common people. That's an entirely new concept as social standing is very important in the game's universe. In the empire are two major factions: the Noble alliance and Reformists. The Noble Alliance is led by the Four Great Houses and wants to return things to how they used to be when the nobility was in charge of everything. Most of them look down on common people and believe they're entitled to everything. The Reformists want equality for common people and want to diminish the nobility's control as much as possible. The Chancellor is the leader of this faction and he's been working on strengthening and expanding the empire by annexing smaller states. So far the Emperor has been able to keep both factions in check. Over the course of the game Class VII goes on field studies to learn more about the Empire and its underlying problems, while also trying to work out the issues between classmates. But behind the scenes things are unfolding and Class VII is dragged into major events. Each area feels different and the developers did a good job with this. The combat system is pretty in-depth. There are different kind of regular attacks (slash, pierce, thrust, and strike), which makes it possible to stagger enemies. That in turn leads to Link attacks if a link is formed between party members. These bonds can improved and that unlocks more perks. Later in the game Rush and Burst link attacks are unlocked. Besides that, each character has an ultimate move and their magic attacks can be customized at will with quartz and master quartz. These items add stat boosts, new magic attacks, support moves, add status ailments to attacks, or other passive effects. Master quartz can be levelled up for improved perks. There are a lot of missable collectibles in this game and @Leon Hasegawa's excellent Overall Walkthrough was invaluable to platting this game. The game ends with a cliffhanger, which is very nicely done. That definitely made me want to get the sequel immediately to find out what happens next. Popular Post Major_Kiba
#150: Tales of Xillia Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficultly: 3/10 A really good game and among the all the Tales games that I've played it probably is in the top 5. Millia is easily one of my most favorite female protagonists and seeing the growth of Jude made for an enjoyable experience. None of the trophies are particularly difficult to obtain but I would recommend a guide for the sub-events. Finally got this platinum after 4 years not because it was difficult I just lacked the willpower to go through it for a third time.

Popular Post Griffon234
Platinum 78: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (PS4) I picked up this game on a sale to play it again, since I really enjoyed running through and getting the platinum for the PS3 version almost 6 years ago now, and while it couldn't beat the first time I did it, it was still rather enjoyable. It was a lot more smooth to play this game however, without FPS crashes every 10 minutes, and absurdly long load times. But I was surprised at how buggy the remastered version is, even if it is a Bethesda game. A lot of stupid bugs that weren't even there in the PS3 version (probably due to the requirement of purchasing the DLC seperately back then) are in this version. I wanted to do some stuff which I did in the PS3 version which didn't count for any trophies at all, such as collecting all the dragon masks again, collecting all the words for every shout, and so on, but there were areas where gates kept getting locked without any way of escaping without doing the bucket glitch or reloading the save file, and another bug where it screwed up the Greybeards giving you a Word Wall location, and continuously gave the same location which killed my motivation to do these side objectives. All in all, it was enjoyable to run around the world freely again aimlessly, as well as redo the thieves guild story (minus the restoration to glory, fuck that), Dawnguard story as well as a lot of the sidequests. The only hindrances to the enjoyment of obtaining this platinum were the thieves guild restoration, vampire/werewolf perk grinding, grinding to 78 being stupidly repetitive chores, and the bugs. Popular Post Terra
#111 - LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars ' The Chosen One Collect All Trophies Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 Another LEGO game completed! This is the closest LEGO game that resembles the Complete Saga, my all time favorite LEGO game. I did not watch the Clone Wars so I was pretty unfamiliar with most of the story missions. However, gameplay wise it was entertaining. The ground battles added a new strategy element which while I thought was a bit unnecessary, was a welcome addition. However, it got old quickly. Having to do 32 assault battles on top of the story mission battles got boring because you could easily grab a speeder and eliminate all the buildings because the enemy A.I. won't hit you. I really liked that the characters didn't speak. I thought the voice acting in later games felt out of place and detracted from the game, kind of like how I felt about LEGO Jurassic World. While interesting, this game got old fast. The grind in the end was boring which isn't good for a LEGO game. Then again, I'm not its intended audience. I'll say this though, NO GLITCHES. There were none to be found here! The only issue was that my game froze three times out of nowhere but it didn't affect the save files so it was only a nuisance. This finishes my intended platinums for 2017 as I don't think I'll manage to get any more unless I can beat Kingdom Hearts or Persona 4 Arena but it's unlikely
Popular Post Ala-Arska
Super Exploding Zoo! Everything's Ruined Complete Super Exploding Zoo But the biggest kick I ever got, was doing a thing called the Crocodile Rock... Another PS+ freebie...from ways back. Xmas time hurts my wallet, so it's pretty much playing free, backlog games for a while But, it's cleansing to man up and tackle those downloaded free/paid games every now and then. Plus, it's cheaper About this particular title...Super Exploding Zoo! is, in short, a blast to play (pun intended)! Gathering all sorts of animals together in a group and utilizing their mad skillz to get rid of Evil Aliens is fun, tactical and messy. Even though it's very different, SEZ! reminded me a lot of NES super classics Adventures of LOLO 1, 2 & 3. Maybe I just felt nostalgic today The only reason I hadn't played this before were the online trophies, grrrr. Gladly those could be self-boosted with a Vita + PS4. Besides those "MP" portions, all else was tackled with my trusty PS Vita. It just feels good in my hands...that console, I mean Super Exploding Zoo! puts fun in funtastic (dear God with my awful puns today). It doesn't suck at all, it blows (up)

Popular Post snakebit10
233 Jazzpunk I put off buying Jazzpunk for a while. At first it didn't seem interesting to me. It was in the first week of Holiday sales so I decided to finally give it a shot. I am not disappointed at all. It was short but I like the quirkiness of it and the missions were hilarious. The took a interesting approach to the trophies for the game. It is possible to play the game and not earn a single trophy. Thankful for the trophy guide to help in knowing what to do to earn them. I may try to get one more before the end of the year.

Popular Post MeteorHawk
#90- KINGDOM HEARTS II (PS3) KINGDOM HEARTS II Master Enjoyment: 10/10 (Single playthrough) 6/10 (platinum run) Difficulty: 5/10 Time taken: 110 Hours over 3 Years, 1 Week For a start, this would have been a 3/10 difficulty (and about an 8/10 platinum enjoyment) if it weren't for the materials grinding, Mushroom XIII #8 and the Axel Data battle. Since getting it for Christmas on PS2 back in 07, Kingdom Hearts II has been my favourite game in the series- and one of my favourite games of all time- for a number of reasons. It improved on almost everything from the original game. I loved the characters and the darker tone. I enjoyed the Ansem/ Xehanort twist (even though it is a symptom of the series' biggest problem) and the overall feel of the game. Sora is much better to control and combat feels much more fluid than the first title. However, as I said before, the series has a massive glaring issue and it pretty much started here: the story is a mess. The arc of this game was straightforward enough but dear god the overall narrative of the series nosedived from here on out. Nomura is obviously making shit up as he goes and I know this gets even worse in subsequent titles. For now, however, I'm glad to have this one down and almost have the full set of Kingdom Hearts games on PS3, just Birth By Sleep's Critical playthrough to go and then I can retire my II.5 HD Remix disk as well. The main meat of the campaign is pretty entry-level RPG, perhaps even more streamlined than the first title given the more comfortable controlling and more linear navigation given the dramatically decreased emphasis on platforming and puzzle-solving, but Sora is far more versatile in combat now, particularly with the addition of the Drive Forms. The Final Mix adds the Limit Form which grants you some abilities from the original as well- Ars Arcanum, Strike Raid etc. Beneath the surface lies a surprisingly varied array of challenges that will have you using your skills in the game to their peak, even at Beginner difficulty. The Gummi ship mechanic has also been greatly overhauled from its awful incarnation in the previous game but it is still very out of place and one of the game's major weak points (and can totally be cheesed by making a "Doughnut" Gummi ship), but the mission requirements aren't as brutal for this platinum. Overall, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix HD is an excellent game until you start going for 100% completion. Like previous titles, the game ceases to be fun at some points and it took me a long time to muster up the patience to do this platinum. Although multiple playthroughs are not necessary this time, I did two playthroughs- firstly just the story on Critical and then a 100% run on Beginner because no way was I going to try all that shit when my health is halved, enemies hit harder and levelling takes longer (though my hat does go off to those who do No EXP Level 1 runs on Critical!). And I'm going to do it all again on PS4 before KHIII comes out... Edited December 21, 2017 by MeteorHawk
