Popular Post Justin__Harris
Platinum #31: Sonic Forces (PS4) Game Score: 7/10 Platinum Difficulty: 4/10 It's been a long while since I've played a 3D Sonic the Hedgehog game with my previous hiatus of video games. The last two Sonic games I played before Sonic Mania recently were Sonic Adventure 2 on Sega Dreamcast and Sonic Advance 2 on Game Boy Advance. With that in mind, I can say that I enjoyed Sonic Forces. I definitely understand the animosity that people have with it. I watched some videos of the Sonic games I missed out on, and totally see why the franchise has become stagnant over the years. But since I haven't endured anything in-between Sonic Adventure 2 and this, the feeling was quite fresh. This game felt like a much improved Sonic Adventure title, but that's not to say it isn't without its share of problems. Imprecise controls, button lag, and issues that I remember appearing back on the first Sonic Adventure seemingly haven't been remedied in 20 years. The game is incredibly easy, even on hard, but some of the time trials become immensely frustrating while dealing with the too often bad controls, clipping through platforms and other issues that really shouldn't exist. I had fun with the game, but it's definitely annoying at parts. It doesn't have anything on Sonic Mania, but at least my efforts in this rewarded me with a platinum. Oh, and the platinum isn't hard. It's just a grind, and sometimes a frustrating one due to time trials and imprecise controls. Edited January 6, 2018 by Justin__Harris
Popular Post JN_Deutschland
#55 Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul (PS VR) Tortured Soul Find every trophy. My first platinum of an VR only game. I know what you thinking, a game based on the Paranormal Activity franchise must be utter trash. But actually it's pretty good. You get what you expect. An intense atmosphere, goosebumps and some good jump-scares. Cons are the short playtime and the original price is to high in my opinion. (40 bucks...bought it for 20 at the recent sale) Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 2/10
Popular Post FilmFanatic
162 - Killzone 2 2.36% War Hero Collect all Killzone 2 trophies Firstly I want to thank whoever decided to close the Killzone servers as this was the motivation behind going for this plat/100%. And I also want to thank them for deciding to announce it while I’m still on my Christmas holidays otherwise I may not have been able to get the Valor Grand Cross trophy quite as easily if at all. And lastly a big middle finger to the final boss fight on Elite difficulty. That was not fun.
Popular Post Koori504
Platinum #158: Kingdom Hearts (PS4) KINGDOM HEARTS Master Difficulty: 6/10 Enjoyment: 12/10 What a nice start for platinum hunting in 2018. Playing this game made me realize how time flies so fast. I was really enjoying remembering the old times playing the game. I'm so glad they did a full remaster version of it for PS3 & PS4. It's a must for people who are considering returning to the game after a long time or for new comers to come enjoy the fabulous and entertaining game especially for people who are waiting for Kingdom Hearts 3 which is coming soon. The platinum was very grindy but it was worth going for as each part of the game was entertaining. The game requires a lot of effort to obtain as you have to experience each part of the game where I believe it is a must. The guide in PSNPROFILES was very useful as you will need it to plan out your way to the platinum.

Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #126: Crash Bandicoot: Warped (December 18th, 2017) Difficulty: 4/10 Excitement: 7/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 10 - 15 Hours A few weeks ago I earned the platinum in Crash Bandicoot: Warped. The third game in the trilogy, it is most definitely the easiest. Which was probably a good thing, considering I was pretty damn frustrated with some of the Time Trials in the first two games. There's not a lot I can say. It's the third Crash game and just about all the characters from previous titles return. Dr Neo Cortex once again has something up his sleeve, this time with the help of another villain bent on dominating the world. Basic story, basic intentions. Crash Bandicoot and company have to warp across time to put a stop to Dr Neo Cortex. Locations range from medieval landscapes to giant factories to Egyptian pyramids to prehistoric volcanoes. Definitely the most varied of the three games in the N Sane Trilogy. As with Crash 2, the running option does not become available until after you beat the game. Then it's on to the gems and time trials. These work exactly like they did in Crash 2. Most gems can be earned naturally, but some require you to complete a no death route. Others require a special way of obtaining them, which is why a few levels require multiple playthroughs. Overall, they're not bad, and I didn't find them as annoying to get as in Crash 1 and Crash 2. The bosses, like the previous games, are easy to beat. This time you get new moves for beating each of the five bosses. One new move is the extended tornado spin, which lets Crash and Coco spin for a while longer. Helpful for taking out more enemies and staying in the air. There is the double jump, which is another jump on top of your normal jump. This makes avoiding enemies and getting to those harder to reach platforms much easier. The new moves in addition to the level layouts makes Crash Bandicoot: Warped an easier game to handle than Crash 1 and Crash 2. Aside from the new moves, a couple other additions made their way into Warped. For the first time you are required to play Coco in a few levels. Her levels consist of riding a jetski (at least I think it's a jetski) on water. It takes a while to get used to the water physics, it can be a tad frustrating to grab all the boxes for the gem. Nothing too bad, and Coco herself isn't a bad character to play as. Then there are motorcycle levels. Clearly the game designers (moreso Naughty Dog, Vicarious Visions remade the games from the ground up) were inspired with 1950s - 1960s style diners set in the desert and Harley Davidson motorcycles. That's what you see. These are some of the easiest levels, because you cannot die. Unfortunately there is no way to backtrack, so missing a box means you have to restart the entire level over. Which means you have to sit through a lot of loading screens, and they are no different here than in the previous games. Crash still slips off of edges. Loading screens are too abundant and too lengthy. Since the N Sane Trilogy was all done on the same engine with the same game designers I guess I couldn't expect anything more. Thankfully the Time Trials are much easier this time around, still not a walk in the park but a lot more doable to score a Gold or better. Crash Bandicoot Warped is a game worth your while. I don't necessarily consider them to be all that great, but they're far from bad. Expect to practice a lot for the Time Trials, and some of the gems, including a couple of the colored ones are a bit tricky. Warped is definitely the easiest, so you shouldn't struggle as much. Popular Post Dragon-Archon
#174: √Letter First plat of 2018. This is one of the games I was looking forward to a lot, despite the mixed feelings people seem to have about it. After playing the game I understand those mixed feelings. The story is about the protagonist who corresponded with a pen pal 15 years ago and comes across an unopened letter from her in which she admits to murder. The protagonist travels to the town she supposedly lived and tries to track down his pen pal and her friends from high school to figure out what happened. The game has 5 endings and I'd say Bond of Marriage would be the true ending. The ending itself is good, but the route is lacking and disappointing, much like the Crossing Paths route. In fact both of those aren't that different, which adds to the disappointment. Cursed Letter and Princess of Himegamori Forest are by far the most interesting routes, though Princess of Himegamori Forest feels incomplete as if it's missing a real ending. Government Plot is also pretty interesting, but also feels incomplete. I expected the true ending to deal with breaking Aya's curse and also thought there'd be an ending where the classmates killed Shiori and tried to cover that up . Too bad that didn't happen.
Popular Post Kuro-Okami
#49 - Unravel Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 A charming little game with a cute little protagonist. I liked Yarni as a charakter, i liked the art style and i really liked the sound design. The gameplay itself... was ok. Some levels felt a tad random with the obstacles and the difficulty was also not really balanced. Some of the middle stages were harder to complete without dying than some at the end. The hardest chapter was 7 imo. Still an enjoyable game. I'd like to see an Unravel 2. Edited January 6, 2018 by Kuro-Okami

Popular Post LightningVII-
#11 - Kingdom Hearts Final Mix (PS4) What a great game this is. Even though it's over 15 years old the game looked really good. I enjoyed every single minute of this game. From meeting Donald and Goofy, to meeting a whole host of Disney and Final Fantasy characters to even Synthesizing. It's something I had never done before so I enjoyed getting the Ultima Keyblade and fighting everyone in the coliseum. To be honest, every character is likeable. All bring over their unique traits from their movies or from the video games. Just a great game. To be honest, I had a couple of problems being underleveled on my proud playthrough but I managed to get by as I was going for the time related trophy also. Took me about 10 hours including quite a bit of side tracking, such as the coliseum just to gain a few levels. The only issue I had with the game is at certain points with the camera. Some instances it's really poor but other than that it's spot on. I do think that synthesizing may actually be well easier on PS4 than the PS3 version, when looking at the guide most drop rates were around 30% even with the required equipment but I had no problem getting any of them and they all dropped within 3 fights of the enemy. Maybe I got lucky with some but surely not throughout the whole of the list. That's why I believe the drop rate is a lot higher on the PS4. On the no change equipment run there's a big difficulty spike once you hit Hollow Bastion. Enemies become pretty tough and most bosses take forever. That's why the difficult rating will be around 5, maybe 6 if I didn't find those Power Ups in my inventory. 1 down from the collection, 5 to go. Chain of Memories is up next. I highly recommend giving this series a shot. It may seem confusing at first but that's what the collection is for. That's what I'm hoping to do anyway. Make sense of the whole series. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #1 of the year for me to. Edited January 6, 2018 by LightningVII-
Popular Post Mesopithecus
#93. Batman (TellTale) Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 Pretty sure a lot of people will be playing this, given it's free currently on PS+. Story wise, I actually thought the game was decent and it made me want to binge watch the Batman movies again, you can also see where they tried to make the game more interesting with linking clues together and the use of the bat tech. Where the game really falls down though is the glaring technical issues - among other things I experienced characters missing faces, characters heads being on backwards, no end of stuttering and also spontaneous crashes. It would have been one of TellTales best if only it had been optimized better and proper bug testing done.

Popular Post Lars
Has been a long time since i updated here, i got 2 plats in the meantime but i earned them both in December, one of them even on the 9th so that's quite a while ago. #127: Saints Row: Gat Outta Hell Second time i played this, i already played this on PS3 and this was actually my first Saints Row game. And i really liked it because the game gives you so much freedom to do what you want, and you can make yourself a sort of insane overpowered superhero which is really cool. And these games have something which i also really like which is extra challenges that encourage you to vary in your playstyle and give you rewards for that, although the rewards are not that great. The strongest point for me in this game is the gameplay, it is quick it is fast, it is chaotic but because you are so OP it doesn't really matter. It is just fun to kill demons and toy a little with them. One massive flaw for me though is the notoriety system because everytime you reach level 6 which happens really quick you get a miniboss battle and when you win the notoriety resets to 0. I'll get to the reason why this is annoying later. A big minus for me is the story, it is basically not there, most storymissions are just side activities ( of which there are many and also well varied). The story is very short and not interesting. There are many collectibles but they are all very easy to find and also rewarding because you can buy superpowers with them. And now the challenges. Like i said, i normally like these, but in this game they are so unnecessarily grindy and i don't know why. You need to get 20 hours of gameplay of which 10 is the story and all the side-activities. The rest of the time you have to do the challenges. Most of them require 100+ kills with a certain weapon, there are over 20 of these type of challenges and that is just unnecessary, especially because of the notoriety problem i mentioned earlier. You can't get demons to follow you, and then just keep killing them. You have to do it with the notoriety resetting constantly which is very annoying. Per run you can get 25 kills or so, before it resets. This makes the grinding much longer. And because there is one challenge that requires all weapons to be fully upgraded which requires an insane amount of money. When i finished everything except for the money grind i still required around 620000. The grinding method gives you around 3-4000 per 1 minute run. Technically this should take an hour but it took me a whole evening. So the game is definetely fun. But the unnecessary grind just kills a lot of that fun and it gets very boring at the end. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #128: Demetrios (PS4) This was a weird point-and-click adventure. It has a lot pee and poo jokes in it. That's the whole game summarized for you. The story is really weird but fun as well. You play as one of the dirtiest guys on the planet, you collect cookies that are even stuck on toilet seats and so on. Thats just the style of this game, it tries to be funny and it sometimes works, it sometimes doesn't. The fun part is that to the player the plot is really clear, you already know from act one who the culprit is if you pay a little bit of attention. The characters are decent and also weird, there's a child who already drives trucks. It is just one weird and cynical ride, and a very easy platinum Difficulty: 1/10 (with guide) Enjoyment: 7/10

Popular Post itachi-destroyer
LittleBigPlanet 100% Complete Earn all LittleBigPlanet™ trophies to unlock this platinum trophy Difficulty : 6/10 Enjoyment : 8/10 LittleBigPlanet is one of my favourite Playstation franchise and since I'm currently doing my PS3 backlog, I decided it was finally time to add a cute little platinum Sackboy to my trophy profile. I've always wanted to Platinum LittleBigPlanet 1 or 2 but never had to courage to do it, but seeing Dreams (Media Molecule's next game) at recent events enhanced my motivation and I'm really glad I played this game again after all these years because it is still a crazily good game ! The first thing that came to my mind when I started the game was "Seriously ? This game still looks beautiful !" The art style of LBP is one of his biggest strenght because even though good graphics are nice, a good artistic direction means that the game will look good forever. After my first shock, I decided that I'll separate my road to the platinum in two, firstly the singleplayer and secondly the online. So I started playing the campaign and since I wanted to do everything in one "playthrough" I captured as many prize bubble as possible and aced every level before moving to the next one. The story is meaningless but enough for a platformer and the 6 worlds in the story all look and feel different (there are some really memorable world like the japanese inspired one) and the songs are varied and good enough to not be boring. The gameplay is solid even though I needed some time to adapt to the "strange" physic of the game but once I did, I was able to fully enjoy the platforming phases. The solo took me quite some time because I did everything by myself with only two controllers which means I had to trick the game in some way to obtain the bubbles that required three or four players. (I still had to look for random online people for two x4 prize bubble though) After I was done with the solo I had a really mixed feeling about it, I really enjoyed the game and some of his difficulty spikes when I had to ace every level but I absolutely hated having to collect all of those bubbles. I understand that it is not meant to be done solo but some multiplayer bubble were tough as **** to obtain by myself and when I tried to collect the two X4 prize bubble with random people it took me 2-3 hours (really) to make them understand what they had to do when a level isn't supposed to last longer than 10 minutes... In definitive, I'll keep a good memory of the solo and the campaign generally but I wished everything was doable solo because if it wasn't for those prize bubbles (more than 1000...) the game would have been much better in my opinion. After I was done with that, I did the online trophies without using any boosting session and it was surprinsingly easier than I thought it would be. The trophy that was the most difficult for me was the one that wants you to play with three players that are in your friend list, after a few hours I finally managed to find a group of people that added me and finish a level with them but it would have been much easier if I used a boosting session. Concerning the two gold and online trophies, they aren't that bad to do alone if you don't want to use a boosting session. You just need to create/use 30 different account on LBP's official site and like your own content and the worst trophy in the game is yours. The other trophy requires you to play 150 level from other players, some were good and some were terrible so after I played a good bunch of online levels I decided that I'll finish this trophy by playing 1 second levels. I think this sums up really well my online journey, but the next time I attempt a heavy MP trophy game I will just use a boosting session (A side note on the DLCs, if you want to buy them they are really good and easy to do. I especially enjoyed the MGS additional content, it was so fun I just want to do MGS4 again.) In conclusion, LBP is a fantastic game with a not so bad road to platinum if you don't do the "mistakes" I did. (Do not be stubborn like me by wanting to do everything by yourself) Thanks to LBP, my hype for Dreams is even higher and I can't wait to play it. See you in (hopefully) 2018 Dreams !
