Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#236 - Wanted Corp (Vita) Quite disappointed with this. The game is a mess from start to finish. Had two crashes, two occasions where the character got stuck, the AI partner stopped performing any actions except walking once, character fell through the floor into an infinite loop once and 3 collectibles didn't spawn. All that makes this the worst Vita game I've played so far after Super Exploding Zoo, which takes the cake for corrupting the save on the last collectible I needed for the plat at the time. Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #129 Energy Invasion Energy Invasion Platinum Good job! Completed all tasks! What a shitty game. Load times take ages [on Vita at least], there's stuttering every 10ish seconds which causes you to miss the ball a lot, and I think the hit detection on the paddle is off too. And, I was not expecting a brick attack game to be so terrible. Why on earth did it become a ghetto shoot 'em up? Why do I have to shoot things at all? Just let me put a ball around and break stuff. That's how these games work. Not to make the ball shoot. And you couldn't use the d-pad to move. Literally the best thing about the game is the plat icon/game store image/game image. All the other icons are ugly as sin, so the "budget" for this game clearly went right into this one piece of art. It is the only reason I even clicked the game's store page. Only to be disappointed it was a brick attack game, but bought it since it was cheap. Probably should have checked a trailer or gameplay to see it's not what I expected. *sigh* My first 'Energy' game, and my last. The regret. Luckily it was easy, so that's something at least? You can literally just continue off any loss, get a new 5 lives to work with [even on endless] and get all the trophies that way. :/ Terrible. BreakQuest is better. Even the free one that had the dumb "play for x hours" trophy, even though you could 100% the rest of the game way before the time. But at least that game was good. No plat though.

Such an amazing game, still a blast these days, it brings me back so many good memories...
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
Collectomaniac Now that this is done, all I can say is I mean, it delivers what it promises. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm glad I played it, but I'm not really clamoring for a sequel. It was fun to revisit those old days, but maybe that's where they belong.
Popular Post monkeydluffy512
#243 Noble Achievement inFamous First Light After getting over my hatred of collecting neon lumens, I settled in and had a lot of fun with this game. My only complaints are that it was too short, (which was expected since it is a DLC title) the rescue missions took all the fun out of the arena battles, and I really wish I could have done the arena battles with Eugene's video powers.

It’s supposed to be a throwback to Super Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie. Since I was a N64 guy, this is a must buy for me. Shame so many people are not liking this game. I thought it was going to be a hit like Undertale.
Popular Post Mesopithecus
#97. The Sexy Brutale Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 I think this now easily comes top of my list of favorite adventure/puzzle games. It had been completely off my radar until I was watching some YouTube videos and it was in a top 10 games of 2017 list. Did some research, saw it was my kind of game and as chance would have it, it was currently on sale on PS Store. Puzzle solving, time management (Groundhog Day style) and minimal collectibles. Coupled with great graphics and brilliant plot, I highly recommend it. Definitely a lot of fun.

Mario 64, BK, DK 64, Tooie, I played them too 100%(+) back in the day. The problem with YL is, its just more of the same. Games like Mario 64 and the ones that followed didn't just add more of the same, they added something new (to varying degrees of success of course). Here, it just feels like prettier looking Banjo Kazooie, from the way the moves work, to the types of collectables, even down to the same super self-aware story and dialogue.

Nothing is original anymore. That’s why we’ve barely seen anything that truly takes an art form and exponentially increases the possibilities. Super Mario 64 was one of those games that did that. Today that is no longer the case. That’s why there is a lot of rehashes and remakes, and games like Yooka Laylee that were inspired by Kazooie. If we’re going to see advancements, it’s much more likely indie games will get the push. Mostly what I’ve seen from AAA games this generation is the same thing we’ve played in the PS3/Xbox 360 generation. Yooka Laylee is to Banjo Kazooie what Sonia Mania is to Sonic 1 - Sonic & Knuckles. I mostly see them as fan service. Neither game has really gotten any new player who wasn’t familiar with the Banjo Kazooie or Sonic the Hedgehog. I played Mania, and being the classic old Sonic fan I am even I can admit it’s just more of the same. Nothing more. People my age who have gamed as long as I have know Sonic and Kazooie like the back of their hand. Edited January 11, 2018 by Spaz

Mario Galaxy was about collecting stars like Mario 64, but I'd be lying if I said it felt like the same experience. I know indie games have less to lose so to speak by taking chances, but going off my own experience, they have alot in common with AAA games when it comes to giving us more of the same underneath a different aesthetic. Only now, its with platformers/metroidvanias. And I think because YL is mostly fanservice is why it isn't taking off the way Undertale has; only 64ers will be able to appreciate it they way it wants to. Popular Post Pecorleone_
Hey everyone! I've been playing Xbox mainly for about 10 years, but this topic and seeing how much people cared for and liked talking about their Platinums that I decided I would play all the singleplayer/exclusives here and start my road to 100+ Platinums. So far, I have 6 Platinums. Platinum #1: Horizon Zero Dawn. This game is a major reason I bought my PS4 nearly a year ago and it did not disappoint. The first 10 hours or so I was indifferent but it clicked and it became one of my GOTY candidates for 2017. I hope to do the Frozen Wilds DLC one day also. 8.5/10 Platinum #2: My Name is Mayo. Really only got this to get another platinum, will definitely stop buying some of these super easy plats. 2/10 Platinum #3: The Order 1886. This was a fun one. Although short, I felt like they were going for more of a movie-type presentation and nailed it. The collectibles were boring though and honestly unnecessary. 7/10 Platinum #4: MLB The Show 17. Another major reason why I finally got a PS4. Used to play so much MLB 07 The Show when I was a little kid on my PS2. One of the best sports games I have ever played, and will definitely be buying this every year regardless of what the trophies look like. 8/10 Platinum #5: Energy Cycle. Finished this on Xbox and now I have the Plat on PS4. 4/10 Platinum #6: 1000 Top Rated. Essentially bought a Platinum for $0.98. 2/10 Here is to many more Plats!
Popular Post Beyondthegrave07
#63 - Batman (like the other 5,000 players on this site) Difficulty: 0/10 Fun: 7/10 Recommend?: Yes I'm not going to lie. I wasn't very fond of this interpretation of Batman. There is one interpretation of Batman that I really like and well... this was like the complete opposite of it! Spoiler I like the interpretation of Batman where the Wayne's are an honorable family; where Thomas Wayne is a philanthropist and is a surgeon as a hobby (How ridiculous is that?!? For fun, I'm going to go do heart surgery!). Furthermore, I really like the interpretation that Thomas Wayne was the original batman. Though, I'd never expect Telltale to try that interpretation. In this game, Thomas Wayne is a crook. He makes his money by pretty much being part of a mafia and was a gangster. NO. THOMAS IS A GOOD PERSON!!! Ahem, like I said... not a fan. Furthermore, I think the game focused way too much on the Waynes' history. I was hoping they'd either focus on Batman in his later days after losing Robin and contemplating retirement as batman or would focus on the turf war between the Joker and Riddler which is a story told by Batman to Catwoman about his darkest secrets. Hey, I'm not saying it can never go that way, but I didn't find the story as interesting as TWD, GoT, or Borderlands. Though, I will give them this; the ending of Episode 3 was a surprise! Definitely did NOT see that coming. If you are looking for an easy plat and an ok story, this is your game, but if you like the comics, you probably will find the game at least a little disappointing.
Smoketheevilpipe
Borderlands (the first one). After almost 7 years I went back and wrapped them up after getting back into the games and platinuming borderlands 2 on PS4. Working my way through trying to 100% all of them on PS3 and PS4, but presequel is soooo bad.

Justin__Harris
Platinum #32: Batman: The Telltale Series (PS4) Game Score: 7.5/10 Platinum Difficulty: 1/10 Another Telltale freebie for PlayStation Plus subscribers. I was looking forward to checking this one out, as I'm a big Batman fan like a lot of people. I totally dug what Telltale did to the Batman story. Without any spoilers, they did some story adjustments that strayed away from the typical Batman story, and it worked out great. It's a fun time and obviously an easy Telltale platinum, as all it requires is to complete the story. Easy peasy. I streamed the game, if anyone's interested in just watching the game with my facetious commentary about how Batman is an inefficient superhero because he won't kill people. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLc8bwciAX8C-MQVA1RBRseqX4S7phDcEo Edited January 11, 2018 by Justin__Harris
Popular Post Lilseb93
#108 Black the Fall Difficulty: 1/10 I just followed a guide. Pretty simple platformer with puzzles. Similar to Limbo, Inside, and Little Nightmares. Enjoyment: 6/10 It was ok. Nothing great, nothing awful. Pretty decent game. #109 Walking Dead (PS4) Difficulty: 1/10 Just beat the game Enjoyment: 9/10 I already platted this game before, but since it was on sale I decided to replay this great game. I can't wait for the final season. Too bad the series never really captured the magic of the first season. #110 The Wolf Among Us (PS4) Difficulty: 1/10 Just beat the game. But you also have to replay some parts to get the plat. Enjoyment: 9/10 Another game I already platted but decided to play again because it was on sale. It's just as good as the first time. I can't wait for season 2. #111 The Assembly Difficulty: 2/10 It was a pretty simple walking simulator with decent puzzles. There's misc trophies and trophies for collecting things. Best done with a guide. Enjoyment: 5/10 It wasn't terrible, but I thought it was pretty boring. It's in VR at least. #112 Rime Difficulty: 3/10 There's misc trophies for doing certain actions and there's trophies for collecting things. The rest are story related. The puzzles aren't bad. There is a good guide to follow for the plat. Enjoyment: 8/10 It looks and plays very much like a Team Ico game. I really liked the look of the game. The gameplay was solid. The story was really emotional at the end.
Popular Post MidnightDragon
#11 Cat Quest Definitely one of the most enjoyable RPGs I've played in a while. It's so adorable. If you don't like a lot of cat puns, the dialogue may make you groan a bit. My only real complaint is that there wasn't much creativity as far as the quests go. They were almost all fetch quests. Also it was a bit too easy overall, the final boss was a bit anticlimactic, and there wasn't much of an ending to speak of, but still a good game. I definitely would recommend giving it a spin.

Popular Post Ala-Arska
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 Time to put things right Collect all the trophies Where's my Platinum image? Fin Fang FOOM!!! I remember this happening before, that picture not appearing in Plat pop. Still don't know the reason, though Anyway, movin' on...to discuss about the latest LEGO title in a loooong series of LEGO titles. This one's one of the better 'uns. I still gotta admit something. The longer these games get, the more fatigued I get with searching for the collectibles. Now don't get me wrong, I love having a 200+ character roster. But finding them first, one by one? F**k that s**t And they sound like made-up figures, too: Spider-Ham, Throg (a frog Thor), Cap-Wolf, and Gwenpool? What the hell's a Gwenpool? A poor excuse for Deadpool, that's what that pink nuisance is. And where are the X-Men or Fantastic Four? Is this a pre-Fox/Disney-deal thing... But, despite the length of everything and absence of some cool heroes (and force-feeding Iron Man to us, never liked him), it's a solid package. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 fits well with the first one and Avengers. Groot and Drax steal the show, as usual. Lots of content, here
