Popular Post parkerdip
Platinum #52 - Assassin's Creed Origins My first platinum of 2018 goes to Assassin's Creed Origins which I got for Christmas and played it every day since. In total this platinum took me just over 70 hours of game time but I was taking my time with it getting to max level and doing as many side quests as I can. This is definitely the most fun I have had in an Assassin's Creed game since Black Flag and possibly now my 2nd favourite game in the series with Black Flag only just remaining top of the list. I am looking forward to seeing whats next for the series. This is also my 9th Platinum in the Assassin's Creed franchise
Popular Post SaiXeN-_-
#43 Batman (Telltale) [PS3] Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Estimated time to platinum: 7.5 hours I'm Batman Complete Batman. Decided to buy and plat PS3 version of this game first, tomorrow looking for PS4 version of the game plat. I really love Telltale game series I know some people will tell this is a shameful plat but every trophy is counting. And this was truly one of the best Telltales storylines.
Popular Post demonoutcast
#66 - Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days A frustrating game to boost online (Especially since one mode requires 6 people). If you plan on boosting this; Do yourself a favor and DON'T. You will have many online connections and issues with it. Before I even thought about attempting this Platinum, I ended up buying two copies along with another person (We had 2 Dummy PS3's) and got progression done faster. The group I was with was extremely lucky and coordinated so unless 2 or more people have alternative accounts, Don't even bother. Aside from the flaws this game has, I really loved the visual aspect filter for it back then (And now), it made you feel like you were in a VHS True Crime Noir/Snuff film in some parts. Due to the poor reception it had on the public and it's lack of story & character development. I hope another studio picks it up and starts fresh with the series. Platinum Difficulty: 6/10 Endurance: 6/10 Time: 50-60 Hours (Depending on luck)

Anyways, had fun with this game (still not exactly done though, got to finish off some extra stuff not required for trophies) Really glad to see some things finally play out/be confirmed and Egypt is just a great setting for this. Looking forward to the DLCs (not as much as Digimon next week though!!!)

Muur1993
It was nice to have a non stressful one for once. Only grindy parts were the final 15% of quests I guess as it was just "here beat the shit out of the last 15 bosses lol". After some of the grinds I've done, it was nice to not have to spend like 40 hours on just one bronze or something.
Popular Post FluffyAssassin64
#81 - The Witness "Platinum" Get every trophy. Now this was an intriguing game! In parts brutally difficult, in others parts (most parts, actually) incredibly creative and fun, The Witness was a very, very cool experience. The central premise of the game is solving puzzles, and boy did it do them well! There is enough variety in the ideas that the game was never boring for me in the ~20 hours I spent with it. Instead, from start to finish, I was pulled in by the gorgeous environment, intriguing audio logs / videos and clever environmental puzzles. In fact, I would say that this is one of the most interesting puzzle games that I've played in a long time. Sure, the puzzles are 'just' based on drawing lines on a grid, but some of them are in environments very reminiscent of Portal (always a positive thing in my books). I won't spoil anything here (in terms of puzzles, etc.), but know that there are several 'Eureka' moments in this game that blow the experience wide open. There are some difficult puzzles here for sure - some end game ones require either very specific positions or a combination of all the 'learned' techniques - but the immense satisfaction of finally solving them far outweighs the frustration. That said, I did have to look at a guide on a select (very) few occasions, but these were only because I'd been trying for over an hour (and eventually found that I was missing some crucial aspect, haha). Otherwise, the 'Challenge' trophy is a good, well, challenge. The RNG and timed elements feel somewhat out-of-place, but it was satisfying to finish it after ~5 attempts. Here's a video for some tips! Very highly recommended for anyone who's a fan of puzzle games! Not the greatest ever, but well worth a playthrough! Game rating: 8.5/10 Plat difficulty: 4/10 (with guide), 6.5/10 (without guide) Edited January 12, 2018 by FluffyAssassin64 Fixed video embed
Popular Post FMWWant
A double dose of platinums this time around: Platinum #29: Squareboy vs Bullies Another easy game I decided to get during the holiday sale to get a quick platinum. It's a very easy game and took me a few hours to get everything unlocked (that last level was a bit of a pain). Platinum #30: Final Fantasy XV As I was approaching a milestone in terms of platinums, I wanted it to be a game I was proud of. I wanted a game that challenged me in some areas while having fun in others. When I was looking at my backlog of games, I realized that Final Fantasy XV was left unplayed for sometime. I always wanted to play it but never had the chance to just sit down and play. Well, I decided that enough was enough and dug right into the game. And 80 hours of total playtime later, I gained my 30th platinum, probably up there as my 2nd proudest platinum I earned ever (the first being the original Borderlands). The game itself was such a ride and I really enjoyed it, so much so that I want to one day get the platinum for Final Fantasy VII. All in due time, I'm so happy that I could make this a milestone for me and here's to many more!
Sly_Cooper_FTW
The Wolf Among Us. I got it literally over a year ago, and haven't got another since. I don't understand playing a game you don't enjoy purely for the plat. If you don't like the game, then why would you want the plat in your trophy collection? I guess some people are extremely dedicated to platinums, but I just can't be bothered to take it that far.

Popular Post Condemned09
185 The Evil Within Pure Evil Unlocked all trophies for The Evil Within. Difficulty: 8/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 My first platinum of 2018. Amazing game, however I felt the game wasn't scary. The game is not that challenging, enemies are easy to beat and the puzzles are easy to do. The reason I rated platinum difficulty an 8/10 is because of one trophy You Asked For It which requires you to beat the game on AKUMU difficulty, the rest of the trophies are easy to get.
Popular Post Mesopithecus
#98. Nightmares from the Deep 2: The Siren's Call Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Enjoyed the story of this one, although it's not as good as the first Nightmares from the Deep game. I did think that the puzzles were better though and I did enjoy Mahjong, it also wasn't overly heavy on hidden object puzzles. #99. XBlaze Lost: Memories Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 5/10 Not really a whole lot to say about this one, tried to read it for a while but felt very lost in comparison to other VN's. The dungeon element was a cool addition though, made it something more interesting than just reading a load of text, especially as there weren't many choices to make in the game.

Popular Post Omelette Paradise
#184 & #185 Claire: Extended Cut PS4 & Vita My first two platinums of 2018 ? This is a game I have had my eye on for a while. I found it intriguing because it reminded me of a cross between the first Silent Hill game and Home (another 2D horror game released on PS4 & Vita). Overall I enjoyed it immensely. For the most part it's effectively creepy and atmospheric. The story was interesting too. The playthrough on "Nightmare" difficulty wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, although a couple of sections featuring multiple enemies were quite challenging. Speaking of which, Claire is unable to fight the enemies. She has two choices - Run or Hide. Not only can the enemies injure Claire, they also effect her sanity as well. If her sanity drops too low, her health will also drop as a result which you must also keep an eye on. The enemies I feel could have done with a little bit more variety but that's the only slight negative I can think of. The Silent Hill comparisons are evident in the design of one enemy in particular (if you've played both games you'll know which one I mean ?) and also the in game map/inventory system which are almost an exact replica of the map/inventory menus from the first Silent Hill, not to mention the Hospital and School locations. In terms of gameplay, it plays very similarly to Home in terms of the game running in 2D and the fact you'll get lost quite easily. That's where the maps come in handy here. If you enjoyed Home and Lone Survivor (another game I've seen Claire compared to but I'm yet to play) then you'll definitely enjoy this ?
Popular Post Redgrave
#120: Top Dog - Okami HD Another game in the list of games I didn't play on PS2/PS3 for whatever reason. I very much enjoyed this and liked the whole adventure feel to it as well as the other side characters that were there. The Celestial Brush Technique mechanic was also fun to use and I liked how some enemies were built around using certain techniques so the combat didn't feel repetitive. I can't really think of anything that would strike as a major negative with this game, so I consider it to be pretty solid all around. Needless to say, this is another one of Hideki Kamiya's homerun games and it would be great if Viewtiful Joe ever got a PS4 remaster since now even Devil May Cry is.
Popular Post MidnightDragon
#12 Saturday Morning RPG Being a child of the 80s, I enjoyed the references in this game and it was a fun game and mostly easy trophy list. The scratch n' sniff stickers for buffs is a clever idea, but you may want to mute the sound on your controller because the scratch noise comes from it and can be quite annoying. Another annoying thing is the level 50 trophy since you'll probably finish all the other trophies except maybe Mirror, Mirror before you get to 50. So that means needless grinding. I also wish it was longer. Still, it was fun while it lasted.
