Popular Post Dragon-Archon
#177: Mary Skelter Nightmares This game mixes various fairy tales together and the story is more faithful to the Brothers Grimm version. A city was consumed by the Jail and the inhabitants are now being tortured by Marchens (the enemies in this game), because they can. Jack and Alice are rescued by Red Riding Hood and try to find a way to escape the Jail. The story is ok, but gives the minimum amount. To find out more about characters, it's necessary to raise their affection and see events. Most of these are in the base, but some are in the dungeons. Hameln is by far my favourite character, followed by Gretel. The dungeons are nicely done and each represents a different fairy tale. The Underground Cavern dungeon was too big though and had lots of branching paths. Finding the correct route in that one was a pain, luckily, it was only 3 floors. One thing I liked about this game was the Jail Bonus system. Fulfilling certain requirements while exploring fills one of 3 gauges and when those are full, a roulette mini-game starts and players can choose a bonus. This can also happen during fights. All in all it's a fun dungeon crawler.

Popular Post SoapMacTavish222
#295 Medal of Honor: Warfighter for PS3. I finished the multiplayer a long time ago for this game and finally decided to finish it up. Hardcore mode got a little annoying at parts but it overall wasn't too bad. The multiplayer is very grindy and I am not sure if the servers are still active or not. Honestly I am surprised that this game did not get more praise. The story was pretty good (actually based off of real Tier 1 operations) and I am a big fan of how realistic it is. If you have not played it, I definitely recommend it, unless you plan on getting the platinum which I would say double check for the multiplayer activity first.

Popular Post Ghost
PS3 version Personal difficulty rating - 7/10 Enjoyment - 9/10 (minus all the playthroughs) Whew! - I'm glad this is over. I had a great time with the game but after hard time attack, the numerous playthroughs were tedious (listening to music was a good way to help with that). Hard time attack is the only difficult part. #3 (Gaius) took about 5 tries but 15 (Argus) was really annoying. It took 4 hours to beat that SOB. 1st playthrough - 9 hours, 9 minutes Normal time attack - 5:38 Hard playthrough 7:03 Hard time attack 9:53 2nd playthrough (all colossus + lizards) - 11:18 3rd playthrough (47 lizards + all colossus) - 4:54 4th playthrough (23 lizards - 9 defeated) 2:00 Collecting all the fruits - 2:41 Edited February 11, 2018 by Outsider
blu3st4rdust305
Rugby 2015 (#85) & Rugby World Cup 2015 (#86) Certainly trophy hunting fodder. Not painful, but that is a very low bar to clear. Wanted some mindless game to play and these fit the bill. Very easy, very fast, bit glitch. Also, never have understood the allure of sports video games, but to each their own.
Popular Post snakebit10
239 Lego City Undercover I really enjoyed this Lego game. I wish there was more original story Lego games. The story was interesting and I liked the characters a lot. There is a lot of parody and Movie Easter Eggs in the dialogue. Gameplay wise it was the same as all lego games. It was a little heavy on collectibles. The post story grind was very tedious. The world was pretty big and playing it reminded me a lot of GTA only playing as the good guy. If you are a fan of Lego games than I recommend it. I sank 60 hours into it some how. It did crash a few times on me.
Popular Post markcavan
#193 - Late Shift on PS4 - (#17 of 2018) Overall I really enjoyed this story/game. The transition between choices and the next scene is almost seamless however, the game is not without its flaws. The lack of chapter select or saves is a real pain. I know I could have used the exit / resume exploit but decided against it to see all the endings fully. The acting and story holes does let it down in parts but as I say, overall a good game, especially considering I only paid 3.99 for it. Well worth a look and an easy platinum. Overall 7/10 enjoyment with a 2/10 for difficultly
Popular Post GeraltTheDuck
Platinum #4 (+100% DLC) Mass Effect 2 N7 Elite Acquire all trophies Rarity 11.18% - Rare Mass Effect 2 is on par with first game for me personally, there are improvements but also they took things away that i would like to stay. Gameplay and gunplay had big improvement compared to first game. Also there is not so many bullet sponge enemies which is good. I do not really like new skill system, there is less skills to level up and so there is less build variety. Also disliked that skills share one recharge. Also did not like that they removed inventory system and uprages from first game. Characters and world building is still great. The overall story is better in second game but i liked first games villains more (Sarent etc.). Crew mates are still great and detail on world building is amazing. All the little lore on planets and so on, is so good. Trophy list is decent, you get most trophies from story and loyaly missions. Insanity was hard for me on some places but still manageable. Arrival DLC is pretty good, working as bridge to third game.
Popular Post Yoey_666
#213 – Trine: Enchanted Edition And to finish this beautiful series, I finally completed part one (the remake of it at least). I just love the Trine series. Except from part three the games are challenging, all have a beautifully designed world with good gameplay and a very good story. Sadly there won‘t be another part as far as I know.
Popular Post Lars
#132: Burnout Paradise This is one of the most fun i had in a racing game. The Burnout games have been one of my alltime favourite series just because of all the carnage. And because you can realize something that everyone thinks or dreams of once in a while, and that is to just create carnage. This one is open world and it does fit the franchise because it just fits, in earlier Burnouts this wasn't the case but with every event you would thought how it would be to be able to free roam through that environment. The only problem that i have with this game is event related. I don't like it that the Burning Routes were car specific, which means that you can do a certain event only with one type of car. If you want to do them all you'll get so many car changes and this takes long because of the loading screens. What i also didn't like was that the world was also open during the races. The idea is cool but because there aren't checkpoints you'll end up using the same roads constantly and you don't get to know the map that well. But still, the open world has so much to do, and in the beginning you get flooded with trophies, just insane how many you can get in just 2 hours of driving through the open world. There is a massive variety of cars you can use. And also the DLC is so much fun. The world is big, you have a city and some mountain area. There is so far as i saw no gps system so finding the way around was difficult sometimes. There are also many collectibles in the world, but they are all very easy to find, luckily you don't need all of them because otherwise it would be difficult because they aren't pointed out on the map. The billboards can be difficult though because they can be clearly visible sometimes, but then the road to them is very well hidden. All in all a very fun game, and definetely recommendable to anyone that enjoyed the earlier Burnout titles. Beware though, if you want the platinum you'll need an USB camera Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10
Popular Post German_Atheist
I've platinumed the game on several accounts, so this was the obvious walk in the park. Thanks to the cross-save feature I could easily grab the plat twice, sending my stats back and forth between PS4 and PS3 (in this order). However, the PS3 version is fucking atrocious when it comes to the technical side. I often thought the game would crash. Much longer loading and saving times, the notorious delayed texture loading of the Unreal engine, and much less detail and resolution in general. I'm a hardcore Borderlands fan since day 1 and can't wait to get Borderlands 3 in my greedy hands. I'll now finish "Tales from the Borderlands" and will complete my collection with another double plat: The Pre-Sequel. I like this franchise.
Popular Post Jesaya815
#262 Metro: Last Light Redux Platinum Trophy Get all Trophies. After enjoying Metro 2033 so much, I knew it was only a matter of time until I would get back into the Metro System. Last Light is simply phenomenal, maybe even better than its predecessor. The gameplay is pretty much the same, which is a good thing as I don't like when a particular series changes every time another game gets released. The story of Artyom continues with more twists and turns than before, while it also dives deeper into the myth surrounding him and the Dark Ones. The hardest part of the main game for me was the Red Square chapter, where you're stuck in a courtyard. It took multiple attempts on my blind playthrough to finally make it. Luckily I didn't have any problems during my second run. The extra challenges where fun too - except for the one with the tank/panzer, which instant kills you after a while, if you don't manage to destroy it fast enough. Hopefully Metro Exodus will be as great of a sequel as Light Last was, and will feature two of my favorite NPCs again - Khan and Anna. There is really a lot of potential in this franchise. It still feels like the developers have just barely scratched the surface.
Popular Post madbuk
#241 - Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness Disappointing. The first playthrough was okay, really nothing special and nothing stood out about it, but it was okay. Then I reloaded a save to get the second ending. Then I reloaded a much earlier save and that's where it began to fall apart for me. The skip function in this game is trash. Most VNs give you an option to skip text you have already read, and it'll stop you whenever you get to a new scene or a new piece of dialogue you haven't seen before. This game doesn't do that. It offers you the ability to skip what you've already read but it doesn't actually work - if you're rewatching a scene you've already watched on a different route, if even one word has changed since you last watched it, you have to rewatch the entire thing. You can't skip to that one new word and then continue, no, you have to go through all the textboxes in that scene manually until you get to something that is actually significantly new. I wasn't putting up with that. Not in a game this generic and long, so I skipped through all the playthroughs after the first 2 endings, and from what I saw as the game flashed before my eyes, nothing really changed. There were new scenes here and there where you get to learn more about the generic cast of anime protagonists, but the outcome is always the same thing really. You always arrive at the same final destination, unless you end up getting an unsatisfying 'bad ending' where you kill yourself off before you can reach the final set of choices. The music in this was also very lackluster - the music in other VNs I've played can help to elevate a scene to great lengths - Steins;Gate is great at that - but the music in this doesn't do that because it's so generic and bland, like the rest of the game. Another issue, which is a personal one but still hindered my enjoyment, is the amount of Japanese names they throw at you all at once and expect you to memorize. In Steins;Gate, it's a bit more friendly to western readers by giving you short and recognizable names like Daru, Faris, Okabe, etc. In Psycho-Pass, I have no idea how to even spell any of these names apart from Kogami, Alpha, and Kagari. I eventually got used to it but it was very jarring at first. I feel awful about skipping through this game after the first 2 endings, but I just couldn't deal with playing it another 30 or so times with only very minor alterations here and there. I got the gist of the other endings via the graphics that were displayed during the skip and that's enough for me. I'm glad I didn't pay for this and got it from PS+ instead.

Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#245 - Cat Quest A reasonably enjoyable RPG, that's a bit simplistic and has the worst upgrade and equipment system in an RPG ever. It also seems to rub RPG tropes under your nose on purpose, just to annoy you. It's another case of a developer being oblivious to what constitutes fun. Popular Post FarSideOfSaturn
#23 Assassin's Creed Origins - Earn Them All Earn Every Trophy 110 hours later... I think it's fair to say Assassin's Creed is a series that's blown hot and cold over the last few years, that's no surprise when a new game is being released every year. The extra year this spent in development really helped it occasionally reach the heights we saw in the early Creed games, it's not perfect and feels more like a evolution of the series rather than a brand new start but it's definitely a good, modern direction the series is heading toward if this is anything to go by. I often wondered when I played earlier installments of how the Assassin's came to be. While most of the story covers a tale of revenge, it was pretty awesome seeing how this game lays out the entire foundations of the Assassins, right down to the missing finger to make way for a hidden blade. The story itself is pretty lengthy, if you're taking your time and completing side side quests to level up it could easily last 20 - 30 hours alone. I did feel like the mission structure at the very end was rushed though, it's like one minute you're in one location and suddenly you're teleported into a boss arena with no warning. I would've liked a little more build up but the section beforehand and the ending that it's sandwiched between are great so I forgot about it pretty quickly. There's one major thing that was overhauled, combat. Again, it's not perfect but I like the direction that they're trying to take with it. I think in older games combat was way too easy, I remember defeating scores of enemies just by holding a button and pressing another to counter an attack and automatically kill everyone. This still isn't very challenging but at least I felt like some effort was going into defeating enemies, in that you're watching for their attack, dodging and judging what type of attack to use and when to use it, I'm more engaged in battles than I was before and have to work a little for a kill, that's not a bad thing in my book. Enemy scaling is another new thing. I actually prefer scaling rather than a difficulty level (although difficulty options are in the game too). It's a little similar to how Fallout 4 handles enemies, in that certain parts of the map will have higher level enemies. I mean it makes sense for example to have high level enemies out in the desert regions, where conditions are harsh and only the toughest people or creatures will survive. Generally enemies 3 levels higher than you will be tough, but not impossible to kill with some patience and practice. I found myself taking on Phylakes 5 levels below them and defeating them once I was used to the combat system. Speaking of Phylakes, I love them. You can think of them as the equivalent of the Templars who you'd find hiding in AC1, I had some great battles and moments with them. Visually, the game is absolutely stunning, I've never taken so many screenshots during a game. Ubisoft really outdid themselves and being placed in this world with 400+ locations to clear to earn the platinum, the scenery makes it a lot easier to get through the grind, there's always something to see. Overall, decent story with a great ending, amazing environment, good if not perfect gameplay and some new life and ideas breathed into a series that badly needed it. If you've loved any moments from previous Assassin's Creed games, or just like open world games, you'll probably love this. Popular Post Justin__Harris
Platinum #38: Minecraft: Story Mode (PS4) Game Score: 7/10 Platinum Difficulty: 2/10 Another Telltale Game. This time around they managed to take a game like Minecraft and add a story to it. The story is actually a pretty fun adventure. It features characters that work well and the writing is pretty decent overall. I will say that I was kind of burnt out on the game by the time it was all over, as this was an eight-episode Telltale Game, whereas they typically are only five. I enjoyed my time with it overall. The Platinum isn't difficult to achieve, as it's just like most Telltale Games where you just play the game and you'll get it. However, this game requires you to do a couple of trophies that are missable, but not at all difficult, bringing it to a 2/10 difficulty rating. I'm nearly complete with all the Telltale Games, as I think I just have Season Two of this and Batman: The Enemy Within.
Popular Post Mesopithecus
#105. Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Really enjoyed this spin-off to the Neptunia games and it was the first one I played on the PS4. Story was fun and it had a nice mix of characters, I also found myself using Noire/Black Heart more than any of the previous games. Couple of minor gripes with the game - quests get a bit repetitive (killing x boss 5 times with more HP each time) and I also had some issues with getting stuck on a couple of bosses and not being able to move (easily remedied by switching to a ranged attack) Overall a fun game though and reminded me that I really need to go back and play Re;Birth 2 and 3

Popular Post jacks
Okami HD Top Dog Acquire all trophies. Enjoyment: A timeless classic/10 Difficulty: 2-3/10 Quite possibly the most magical and wonderful game I have ever played, it's just so amazing how the game simply does not show its age. I played it a few times through on the PS2, but never truly 100%'ed it until now. I don't know what possessed me to throw the PS3 version into the backlog, because this was just a reminder of why I loved the game so much on the PS2, and would consider it among the top tier games of all time. It's astonishing that i can't pin down a boss or dungeon that I would consider my favorite out of the bunch, as all of them have some very special moments. I think just going through Shinshu Field for the first time invokes a lot of the same kind of reaction I had upon exploring Hyrule Field in 3D for the first time, and yes, that is a compliment to the utmost degree. Everything from the perfect soundtrack, the lovely and ever colorful graphics... it's almost close to perfection. Playing it again on a 4k screen, I think the only thing that would remind me that I was playing, in fact, a PS2 game instead of a super stylized PS4 title was the excessive pop in (my one and lone gripe for this version). If you, for whatever reason, missed out on Hideki Kamiya's masterpiece and one of PS2's most epic swan songs, then look no further; even if you feel you have burned yourself out on gaming as a whole, I think a game like this would quickly remind you how special gaming can be.
