Free with PS+ so I thought I'd give it a whirl. With the amount of collectables you need to find, a guide is essential! The story itself is very moving. Popular Post X_Wizi_X
# 79 - Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance My name is The Ripper. Raiden Jack The Infinite (with the Wig B) Ripper. This game was like a crazy rollercoaster. Sometimes I said "f**k I love it!", other times just "fuck whoever developed it". What made this hard game even harder was the camera system (if you get stuck fighting in a corner, the camera shows the fight from one side view, or sometimes it is just too slow and doesn't follow the enemy) and the VR missions. Some tips: press R2 to lock-on the enemy (avoid using it if there is more than 1 enemy) acquire the dodge ability and press square + X acquire the multidirectional parry ability red flashing on enemy = parry, yellow flashing = dodge if you see you can't be able to parry on right time ( = counterattack), just go for a parry (lock-on the enemy and keep smashing square + the left analog toward him). The no damage trophy vs Senator Armstrong on Sam's Dlc was the worst battle of the entire game. I saw a lot of videos and most of them were outdated or maybe patched because Armstrong didn't behave like those videos. Tips for S ranks on Revengeance and VR missions: Before starting the S ranks journey, back up your save -> go on main title menu -> press start -> press triangle on the completed game save and then copy it to the second or third slot. Now, don't press Continue, but Story -> chapters and choose the one you wanna play it on Revengeance. Just remember to play chapter 07 as last, or you have to play it 2 times. if you get an S during a ranked battle, wait the checkpoint save completes -> return to main title menu -> press triangle and overwrite the second or third slot save if you don't get an S -> return to main title menu -> select the second or third slot save -> press triangle and overwrite the original save Helpful links for S ranks https://www.xboxachievements.com/forum/showthread.php?t=425203 or https://www.youtube.com/playlist?feature=edit_ok&list=PLTaOHX8kEkD7x-dqm1HOGhoOGs6oC_gMn or https://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/metal-gear-rising-revengeance/199454-metal-gear-rising-revengeance-trophy-guide-roadmap-2.html#post3646054 or (not always btw, but most of the ranked battles), buy the Fox Blade, start to kill every enemy on the road trying to kill enemies while going everytime around them to do a lot of combos, not just a one hit. The most important thing to remember is to avoid to get damaged by them. No damage bonus is 1500 Links for VR missions https://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/metal-gear-rising-revengeance/199454-metal-gear-rising-revengeance-trophy-guide-roadmap-2.html or https://www.trueachievements.com/game/Metal-Gear-Rising-Revengeance/walkthrough/5 or https://www.xboxachievements.com/forum/showthread.php?t=425067 and for VR mission 18 (fuck this shit) https://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/metal-gear-rising-revengeance/190730-guide-destroy-vr-mission-18-video-screens.html What I can say at the end of my experience is that Metal Gear Rising is a good game, fun during the main game, stressing in most of the 50 VR missions and in some part on the Sam's dlc and if I have to give a score I say Difficulty: 6 normal mode, 8 Revengeance mode, almost 10 in VR missions Enjoyment: 9.5 normal, 7-8 Revengeance, 2 VR missions And my Metal Gear saga has been completed for now (Survival can wait a lot of time) Edited February 14, 2018 by X_Wizi_X

Popular Post DrBloodmoney
#313 - South Park: The Stick of Truth got this free with the sequel, so figured i’d run through it again before playing The Fractured but Whole. Still very enjoyable - I had forgotton a lot of the content, and still laughed out loud at some bits (Canada / “Hi Mongorians!” / “It’s just what I need to sing magical songs of encha...”) This game shows what can be done with a licenced property if the right attention to detail is paid and, most importantly, it is built on good, solid game mechanics. Why has no one looked at doing the same thing with The Simpsons? A 2d style RPG with similar fan service would work so well in Springfield! Popular Post SirDave1988
# 81 - Wolfenstein - The Old Blood (PS4) The Old Blood master Collect all trophies Weirdly, I'd never played any Wolfenstein titles until the PS4 titles came out. I guess that Wolfenstein was more sort of a PC fare rather than PlayStation back in the day. Very good FPS title all the same though. Plays very solidly, looks great, crunchy explosions, great stuff all round haha. The only real kind of big challenge with the plat on this one were the challenge rooms, they were a real test of patience and accuracy, puts how relatively easy the main game was in retrospect. Definitely recommend this though if you are an FPS fan and you haven't played this yet, you could get it very cheap these days I'm sure. Will be moving on to finishing off The New Order next. Popular Post DamagingRob
#298- Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance Dream Drop Distance Master Obtain all trophies. And the award for biggest disappointment of the year goes to... It's only February, but I can't imagine another game being as big of a letdown as this was. I had such a terrible time with it. And yes, part of it was likely due to trying to complete everything on the Proud difficulty. But really, nothing in it was particularly enjoyable. I can only think of one positive thing to say, and that's that Flowmotion was kind of neat. But at the same time, it becomes absolutely useless in the late stages of the game. Using it against bosses that can take your health down to nothing in a nanosecond, isn't a very good idea. Instead, you're forced to resort to a very cheap tactic against all of the tough fights. And that is to spam Baloonra like there's no tomorrow. Even with that, the Julius fight was a fucking nightmare with Sora. The game barely had any Disney worlds, and zero Final Fantasy characters. Two things I love the series for. It was the perfect mixture of my childhood and adolescence. But here, we get no Final Fantasy appearances (unless you count Moogle Shops), and a very limited amount of worlds. Especially, on the Disney side. In total, there are only 7, with just 5 being Disney. A double dose of Mickey and co., Pinocchio for the 5th time.., Tron (again), and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Just a huge lack of anything substantial there. The pet and drop systems were just tedious annoyances, the first of which was likely added to appeal to the Pokémon crowd on the 3DS. Bouncing back and forth between characters, before you even finish a world with one, just makes following the story an episode in futility. I didn't find a single minigame enjoyable, either. So yeah, good riddance to this game. Such a huge disappointment, especially after Birth By Sleep. How can that game feel so much grander in scope, compared to one on a newer system? At least I got a pretty sweet Platinum image out of it, I guess. Spoiler

Popular Post Nauticus87
#209 - Grand Theft Auto: Vice City As fun as I remember it being. Still prefer San Andreas but this is a great game that still holds up today. #210 - Seasons After Fall A quick breather between GTA games. Apart from that puzzle in the tree area this was a relaxing, pleasant experience. #211 - Grand Theft Auto III Compared to SA and VC I thought this game was really rough. I know I should be cutting it some slack because it's the first 3D GTA but still, it doesn't hold up great today. No map, fragile cars (thankfully you can use the repair vehicle cheat), lackluster missions and a boring main character. Also found the ambulance mission infuriating this time around and spent two hours trying to get a limo to spawn to finish the platinum.
Popular Post ShinigamiSensei-
#69: Horizon Zero Dawn (platinum and 100%) All trophies obtained Obtained all Horizon Zero Dawn trophies. Great and enjoyable game, from start to finish. 10/10 #70: RIME The end is a new beginning Obtain all trophies. Loved this game, i think it´s a visual masterwork! The good: Story, music and that ending!. The bad: Short game with simple puzzles and lack of combat. A bit framey sometimes - mostly in the larger areas. Just stutters a bit, nothing horrific. Overall, an absolutely fantastic journey about acceptance and how one gets there. This is the stuff that really embodies why I love gaming and why it is an art form just like other mediums.
Popular Post Kristycism
#31: Titan Souls Ascension Maaaaaaaaaan, this game was annoying as hell. I went in expecting something challenging, but all it challenged was my patience. It's really a game of "f*** my timing was off by a millisecond and now I'm dead" over and over (not on the same boss, but on each individual one you need a few attempts per run), and you need to run it a minimum of four times (at least once in Hard mode, which isn't actually hard but things are faster and therefore your timing will be off very slightly more often). If it was one run through and none of this Iron mode nonsense (which is either keep playing the game right to the end and then dying on the final battle, or backup saves between each fight which takes way longer than the fights themselves, so you feel like you're constantly on the "Application Saved Data Management" screen instead of in the game) I might not have been as annoyed at the game. But the requirements are just annoying to have to do. On the other hand, I loved the pixel art style of the game, the scenery was very beautiful. And the idea of what you were doing was pretty cool, it just could have been done differently where it was more challenge, less annoyance. #32: Battleborn Savior of the Universe I really love this game, it's just a shame how small the playerbase is. I played it for almost 200 hours on a previous account from it was released up until I made this account, and I still enjoy it now. The characters are fun, the humour is kind of what you expect from Gearbox, and I love the fact there's a PvE campaign rather than purely PvP content (I don't dislike PvP games, I just prefer having a mix of things to do). Trophies, however, are a bit annoying. On this account I mainly just went straight for trophies and didn't take as much time to play just for fun. But I wouldn't advise doing this as most things will come naturally with each character, and grinding specifically for trophies did take the fun out of playing the game.
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
I've not seen such bravery! Yet ANOTHER game I've had for over a year that I never bothered with finally down. All in all dissapointing. I honestly feel this game was at its best in Midway's hands during the arcade era, because nearly every attempt I've seen to revive this game has missed the point of what made Gauntlet fun. No longer do we have that wonderfully bombastic announcer; instead we have this boring trying-to-sound-mysterious voice over. Gone are the colorful worlds (like a church, air ship, carnival) and bizarre enemies. Those are replaced by the typical dungeons, caves, and lava world that are inhabited by your generic goblins, orcs, skeletons, etc. The ability to customise a character based on class, color and sex is gone, instead replaced with 4 permanent boring archetypes. Which means we lose the potential dwarf, sorceress, jester, and knight. I seriously wonder what is it these Companies see in this franchise that makes them think "You know what? Let's limit options while being as boring and genericly safe as possible in our FANTASY game".

Popular Post B1rvine
Trophy Addict Hotline Miami I usually don't do serious reviews, but this game blew me away (pun). Hotline Miami is reminiscent of an 80's NES style top down view shooter. The objective is to simple, kill everyone in each stage. There's no complicated menus, no annoying crafting or upgrades, or needless combos, etc. Just pure simple action: move, aim, and kill. The style may be simple, but the difficulty is challenging. The setting is somewhat sinister and mysterious too, and the game leaves the story open for interpretation. This game isn't really about the story, but it makes it all the more interesting if you try and dissect and analyze it. The music and atmosphere are excellent too. If you enjoy techno music, or 80's style music, it'll be right at home. Perfect trifecta of gameplay, plot, and musical score. Enjoyment: 10 / 10 Difficulty: 6.5 / 10 TROPHY ADDICT Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number I enjoyed this one as well. Essentially it has the same sticking points. If comparing the games side by side though, I think the level designs were a bit too big this time around. The musical score was even better than before, and the tunes fit the atmosphere perfectly. The story tied the two game worlds together and had a plot with a starting and ending point, and it was quite the masterpiece. Enjoyment: 9 / 10 Difficulty 8 / 10 Edited February 15, 2018 by B1rvine
