Popular Post DiegoMolinams
Need For Speed Platinum Trophy One of the most frustrating platinum trophies I've earned. This game reminded me of why I haven't touched a racing game since the PS2. The game is fun though, I loved the drifting and time trial races. On the other hand, I hate racing against others especially the AI on this game with that terrible rubberbanding, sometimes it felt lucky to win against the AI. Good game overall, I had fun but also experienced lots of frustration, the feeling when I finally got the platinum was amazing. If I ever play another racing game I think it will be Cars 3 ?

Popular Post Jesaya815
#266 Lollipop Chainsaw Legendary Zombie Hunter 100% Complete! Thank you for playing! Man, what to say about this?! Lollipop Chainsaw has such a cool and creative story and it's another one of those games, that would definitely deserve a sequel for sure. Almost six years have passed since its release, so I picture Juliet Starling at the age of 24 now, stuck in a boring job, working nine to five, until there's another zombie outbreak and she - alongside her crazy family - has to fight yet another time to save her town. Anyway...the only thing I didn't like much was the gameplay. There were so many frustrating sections and stupid mini games that made me rage a lot. I had no problems with Baseball or shooting down helicopters on "Hard", yet failed a couple times while playing Rank Mode on "Normal" - which sucked, since you have to start the level all over again if you die during an attempt. Grinding for medals and kisses at the end wasn't much fun either. At least there was a learning curve with the different combos. I guess it comes with the territory when you have to repeat the same levels over and over again.
Popular Post blu3st4rdust305
Rime - PS4 (#90) Very pretty to look at. Interesting, somewhat muted storytelling techniques. Ingenious simplicity in its puzzles, while not being heavy-handed or obvious. At its core, this game is a puzzle game mixed with a walking simulator, which made searching for its collectibles and miscellaneous trophies quite a chore. The walking and movement seemed just a tad too slow and clunky, making exploration undesirable and downright boring, despite many visual trucks. Perhaps my recent rash of experience with action-platformers caused me to expect a faster, more reactive character, but it just felt too slow and too long for what it was because of the movement. Likely this was purposeful, as a mechanic for the storytelling, but it detracted from my experience. One takeaway for me was definitely the graphics. That chapter towards the end with the rain cascading down on stone was stunning. The use of light and shadows was excellent. Also, the creatures you interact with as part of the story all have their character despite the lack of dialogue or clear communication. Overall, a powerful story told very well against a gorgeous backdrop, hampered by speed and movement issues.
Popular Post Caldor2K2
#105 - Secret of Mana Wow my first platinum after nearly 6 months. 25 years after its original release, Secret of Mana once again graced us with its presence. Unfortunately this isn't exactly what I think anyone had in mind. To start off with the bad, the game is (and despite 2 patches is still) full of bugs, many of which I never personally encountered other than the crashing. This can make playing the game a real chore at times. Now granted every game is going to glitch/bug at some point but this was ridiculous. Next up is the new soundtrack. While I did enjoy it overall, it was very inconsistent in terms of quality. Some of it was really well done, others almost made me want to mute the sound completely. Luckily there is an option to use the original soundtrack as well. The voice acting wasn't too bad, but it won't likely win any awards. As with most games, the option for both English and Japanese is present. If you don't want to hear the voice over, you can always set the level to 0 in the settings. The gameplay is nearly identical from the original game. It is fairly easy to learn how to play with minimal time. On the good side, if your stupid AI partners get stuck behind something this time around you won't have to go back for them as you can move freely around without them. My only real gripe here is that each time you go into a menu with either or the position is always returned to default location. The remake feels slightly more difficult than before, mostly due to how certain enemies seem to attack faster than before. The localization was good keeping in line with the original game, and even adding some humor into it. As you progress through the game, each time you sleep at an Inn, the party will have a conversation before heading to sleep. I got a good laugh out of a lot of these, and it sounded like an adventure from hell. Maybe if I was the hero and had to deal with the other 2, I would probably have said something along the lines of "The heck with this. Saving the world isn't worth putting up with these 2 the whole time."

Popular Post SlimSanta94
Atari Flashback Classics Vol. 2 0.32% - 5 Achievers This was a really difficult platinum trophy to get. I'd even go as far as saying that in terms of difficulty that it's on par with Super Meat Boy if you choose not to abuse cloud saves to get it, Which I chose not to do. Where as the first collection was pretty straightforward, having mainly pretty easy trophies to get minus beating level 81 on Tempest, this collection had the opposite, where many of the trophies were very brutal and demanded a lot out of you. For example the Asteroids trophies, i've been an avid Asteroids player for years but scoring 50,000 points without losing a life and 0 points in a single level is just painful. Obtaining the rank of Admiral (the highest rank) on a game of Stellar track, which is an extremely complicated game on the surface was also pretty difficult because it basically asked you to play perfectly in a game that not a lot people will understand how to play, never-the-less it's a very fun game once you learn how to play it. Then there's reaching level 19 on Missile Command which in my opinion was the hardest trophy on this collection and even one of the hardest trophies you could get in general, which is seemingly near impossible unless you have godlike reflexes and have very good luck, by the time you reach level 15 everything moves so quick that you just have to stay as focused as you can the entire time. This game didn't take me very long to beat (only 2 weeks), but it tested my patience and pushed me in ways no other trophy list has. It was a pretty painful experience from start to finish and i'm proud to have it and i'm glad it's over with.

It never serves a real purpose, except to waste your time. Yes, you can make food with it, so you can with all the other stuff you get without having to go out of your way for them. At this point I consider it more of a trope than anything really. I agree however that it is probably the best fishing has been in a game from a pure mechanical standpoint . Popular Post Lucas
Platinumed 3 games in the last few days. If I only I can keep this up . #53 Persona 5 February 27th 2018 So after 10 months and 3 weeks, I finally got the platinum for Persona 5 a few days ago. This game was a blast to play through twice and spend 289 hours in . While there were two palaces that I didn't really enjoy on either of my playthroughs (Spaceport and Ship), the rest of the game was superb. The characters were amazing and maybe even better than most Persona 4 (Golden)'s characters (which is still my favorite game by the way, that hasn't changed ), the artstyle was awesome, the dialogue and social links confidants were very fun to read through and the gameplay was fantastic. I can't say I enjoyed every single of those 289 hours thanks to the Spaceport and Ship dungeon but I definitely enjoyed almost all of them . This game is a gem and we should try to get as many people as possible to play it. Something I can be very proud of is my time in the fastest achievers : Also, Ann is bes... Tae is bes... Makoto is bes... Futaba is definitely not best girl . Difficulty: 6/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #54 PaRappa the Rapper Remastered February 28th 2018 I don't have much to say about this game. The songs are fun to play but the timing of the notes is way off which makes the gameplay annoying and makes especially stage 4 very frustrating. The platinum was nothing special and I doubt I'll touch another PaRappa game again. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 5/10 #55 Battlefield Hardline March 6th 2017 I love the Battlefield series and Hardline was no exception. The multiplayer is great fun and the campaign was very enjoyable too. The hardest difficulty in the singelplayer campaign was still easy enough for me to go through in two days but I still had a lot of fun doing so. I doubt I'll go for the rank 150 and 40.000 kills trophies but I'll probably keep playing the fun multiplayer every now and then. Popular Post Desmuria
#55 - Mr Massagy I am the glorious Mr. Massagy! Unlock all the trophies! Enjoyment: 1/10 Difficulty: 1/10 Almost feel as embarrassed to own up to this one as I was about My Name is Mayo. Quick, easy Platinum. You go speed dating and receive a massage from a tub of mayo... This game is weird as Hell. Anyway, moving on... #56 - Dreamfall Chapters Balance Restored Earn all Dreamfall Chapters Trophies. Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 3/10 I bought this game in a sale a while back and I've recently decided to go through my backlog. This game jumped out at me from a vast list and I had to play it. I really enjoy the Telltale series and Life is Strange and this plays like it, but it's more challenging. Roughly 13⁄4 playthroughs are required to get the platinum, as the plat will pop during Book 4 out of 5 on your second playthrough. I really enjoyed the story and how it all unfolded, especially when the player is required to make quick decisions that alter how the plot pans out. The characters in the game are really likeable, particularly Zoë Maya Castillo (one of the main protagonists), and her talking "sidekick" known as Crow. The game is also rich in really funny and, sometimes, dirty humour. For example, a local tavern called the Rooster and Kitten (I'll let you work that one out yourself). The only things that annoyed me were that the characters love to talk... A LOT. I feel that the constant cutscenes and endless dialogue slowed the pace of the game down in some instances and I got a little bored, waiting to jump back in and play! The load screens take foreverrrr to load and they occur whenever you move to a new section of the game, so it can get quite tedious and annoying. Despise all that, if anyone has played Telltale, Life is Strange or any of the other The Longest Journey games, then I highly recommend this. If you're purely trophy hunting, it's going to take you between 15-30 hours (with use of a guide, depending on whether you're skipping dialogue). Popular Post snakebit10
#242 Alekhine's Gun The good. It had a decent story and plot. It could of been more but It feels cheaply made. The bad. Many glitches in the graphics. Looks more like a old PS3 game, and it had many crashes. I also had one trophy that was glitch. The one for 30 headshots. I had over 90 before the trophy finally popped. It is a easy platinum because there is no difficulty trophy. I couldn't imagine playing this on hard. It would of been frustrating to say the least.

Popular Post Yrva
Bloodborne After 2 years and 11 months (of putting it off, to be honest) I finally sucked it up and completed my second playthrough because I messed up my first with the save files, and then ran through the chalice dungeons fairly quickly. Bloodborne is a fantastic video game to put it simply, and in my opinion, the best souls-borne game. It'll probably go down as one of my favourites of all time. Popular Post MidnightDragon
#18 Sly 2: Band of Thieves (PS3) This is my favorite game out of the Sly series. It has held up pretty well IMO. I like the missions and how each character is utilized. However, that being said, it's not perfect. There are some very annoying parts, like the tank missions in the fifth world and the TNT barrel mission in the last level. Also the camera tends to be a bit funky sometimes, but a lot of it is likely the game's age. I still wish you could replay missions like you could in Sly 1, 3, and 4. However, this is still very much my favorite Sly game.
Popular Post Deluziion90
Platinum 87 - Oxenfree Oxenfree All 14 Trophies March 6th 2018 • Completed in 1 day, 5 hours Would recommend to anyone in a sale. It has a real deep story and kept me on the edge of my seat multiple time. It even scared me on some parts?. Going for the platinum was utter shit unfortunately. You require a minimal of 3 playthroughs and one of this playtroughs you aren't allowed to choose any type of conversation. You just follow your friend and ignore everything he says. 2.5 very boring hours. Its like the trophy says: The Strong, Silent Type Play the whole game without saying anything. And boy, that was hard! I know for many people this game is tough but totally doable with some dedication but for me it was brutal and I needed to be concentrated for every second. I am just too bad for that game, even though I like it a lot. Nevertheless it was one of the most frustrating achievements I have ever got. It's not only me who screws up many times but the game as well when Faith doesn't grab certain ledges even though she did it hundred times before. But my favorite is to mess up parts I never had problems with in a run that was flawless until then. ?? Btw. in contrast to other players I had the most trouble with the speedrun of chapter 3. I did the time trials first, so the speedruns were not that hard compared to them. Still, one of my hardest platinums... Well done! The speedruns were making me miserable so I decided to give up on that plat. I don't know how forgiving the game actually was but I'd pretty much restart any time I messed up a move. The second game's plat was much easier.
