Popular Post Aexuz
The Ultimate Warrior #192 Now I'm feeling nostalgic about DB GT after finishing Budokai 3. still one of the best Dragon Ball Z games ever made in my opinion. One thing I really missed that was not included in the HD collection was the original song for the opening. It was so good ?
Popular Post Lorajet
Plat #16 Master of Unwritten Tales Not a bad game until Drunken Master glitched. Knocked out the 5 comic balloons (3 times!) without a trophy. Had to delete the save, replay Chapter 1 again to get to Chapter 2 and viola. (Thanks to Toogie for that suggestion!) One of the longest Plat´s. The Dream Team-Trophy sucks. All in all an easy Plat, but very Time consuming. A bit too bad, because the Game is great. Popular Post Izularia
#210 Claire (PS4) Completionist Acquire all trophies. I liked the game a lot. Great atmosphere, interesting story and simple but fun gameplay. I've always been a sucker for survival horror so I'm glad that the game was free on Plus this month. Probably one of my favorite Plus freebies so far, highly recommended. Additionally, thanks to the excellent guide by optimusmart, the way to platinum is very straightforward and uncomplicated. Nightmare difficulty wasn't so bad either. Took a bit to get used to the panic mechanics, but it's super easy as soon as you get the hang of it! I am going to play the Vita version at a later point too.
Popular Post XX_FTW
#41 - Aven Colony (PS4) Colony Irrigation I love base-building/time & resource management/simulation games and was really happy to pick this up when I stumbled onto a disc copy of it. We don't often get this genre on consoles so I always try to support them (Cities: Skylines, Surviving Mars, & This is the Police are on the backlog shelf atm) when they do make an the leap from PC. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the controls work on consoles. I really only had one issue with the controls at that was only with the redundancy of controls on a certain sub-menu. Otherwise I thought the controls were really playable. I'd read there were some performance issues at higher populations but that most have been patched since launch, as I had no problems with populations in excess of 1k, even with time speed up to its maximum. Overall, I really enjoyed the game itself. The "story mode" gave interesting and diverse environments to basebuild on each mission and the loose-framing of the story didn't get in the way of the actual gameplay. That story- almost entirely presented as VO clips during various parts of the missions- may or may land for you but I found it to be non-intrusive and even mildly entertaining at times. With Surviving Mars seemingly attempting the same success, I am interested to see how these games end up comparing--or rather, how I will feel about them. That will be awhile yet though as I let this settle awhile before jettisoning myself back into space. (Oh, and wtf is up with the bad platinum names? Like they could picked anything and "Colony Irrigation" is what won? Please tell me I'm missing a sci-fi reference or something because if not, that is just awful.)

Popular Post PooPooBlast
#98 Ratchet and Clank PS4 So this was my first entry( and final) in the series and my initial expectations were right. It felt like a childish game which is understandable and so I learnt it was not my genre. I still stuck through it though because the gameplay and the colourful environment made up for it. The game looks gorgeous on the pro. The music was surprisingly good, especially the pause menu lol. Gaspar had a good track as well. 2 more till 100
blu3st4rdust305
Saints Row: The Third - PS3 (#92) I love this series. So much fun to be had with the GTA-lite gameplay, silly weapons (amongst lots of good, practical ones), great funny story, and fairly short road to the Plat. The missions are pretty much all fun, with the side gameplay being a bit of a mixed bag. Thankfully, the collectables are very manageable and some of the Challenges took a bit of creativity to grind away. Also, loved the level of customization the developers allowed to create your character. Unabashedly, spent a bit crafting the perfect mix of clean-cut/gangster leader/muscle god, haha. Kind of a shame the storyline pretty much ends with the 4th installment and it's DLC, I would certainly be game for another romp with this cast of characters, humor, and mechanics.
Popular Post NullSpace84
#13: Cyberdimension Neptunia 4 Goddesses Online There will always be more Nep-Nep to Nep. Really quite fun, beyond what I anticipated! Enjoyed swapping between several of the gals and their rapid playstyles. Just...all too brief, for a faux-MMO. Uni wrecks face, in any event, which satisfies plenty~
Popular Post Redgrave
#124: Trophy Complete - Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness A decent enough VN if you liked the anime, although it might not be necessary to watch the anime first but the context probably helps. Only other thing is a mini-game that you have to grind points for.
Popular Post Cave Johnson
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd Trophy Master All trophies unlocked 78 requests later, I have the platinum. I already complained about this in a status update, but I thought I was done with requests after completing the 50th one. Of course, there had to be a stupid fucking cuckoo clock that only unlocks after completing 78 requests. When I realized I had to do 28 more, I wanted to quit. It also doesn't help that I completely ignored the diva room for the first 30-40 hours. I figured I could just do it all at once later on, like the first game. Unfortunately, vocaloids can only be given one gift every 10-15 minutes. This slows everything down by a lot. Aside from that, there isn't much to say about the trophies. It's basically the same trophy list as the first one, except unlocking everything takes twice as long. I platinumed F and still play that occasionally, and I'm sure I'll do same with F 2nd. I'm not sure exactly what I'll do next... I'll probably start Bloodborne sometime later this week.
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
Thanks for Playing! 1 year and 2 days. That's how long it took. Heck, this is the free PS Plus version. Yeah, it's been THAT long. Why? Well, because I had no intention of completing it. I remember trying to knock the survival trophy out of the way, made it all the way to round 26 before failing, took a break out of frustration, then completely forgot about it. But now with my PS4 dedicated solely to finishing up DB FighterZ, all I have is my PS3 to play on. So I took another crack at Survival, this time with a turbo controller, and PING! After that, all the other gold trophies just fell into place, until I decided "fuck it, let's finish this up NOW" Not much to say about it. It's a decent fighting game that some have described as BlazBlue for beginners, and I can totally see why on one hand and question that on the other. The characters are gimmicky, but much more accessible, but there seem to be more gauges and factors to take into account. But still, it's fun and easy to get into. The story is standardly stupid, fill with nonsensical english about clauses and divides (we're along way from Heaven OR Hell? Let's Rock!) and a plot fraught with distortions and time paradoxes; not quite as bullshitty as BlazBlue, though that's not for lack of trying. As odd as it is, the one part of this game that got on my nerves were the death screams. No, not the voice acting or dialogue, specifically the death screams. 90% are some of the loudest and most obnoxious I have EVER heard in a video game; every match has to end with ear piercing "UWAUAUAGH" or "KEEEYAYAYAIIIEEEEYAA". Oh, and one character has the "Oh HO HO HO" laugh. You know, the worst thing to happen to anime (outside the pedo-centric vibes it emanates nowadays). Needless to say, a lot of the times my TV was on mute. But hey, another off my backlog and one I don't have to keep hidden. How 'bout that?
DEMONICRUBLE18
Sherlock Holmes Will The Testament Of Sherlock Holmes. A great game easy plat, if you intend to go for it I highly recommend regularly saving especially before opening a door it froze a lot for me more to the end of the game than the start.
Popular Post Brawler
Platinum Trophy #78 Sengoku Musou 3Z (Samurai Warriors 3Z) This freakin' game. Let me start by saying that this is one of the best musou games I've played in some time. It's got all of the elements of the older titles that I missed along with some new stuff I hadn't seen before starting this up. My only major gripes with the game were the objectives feeling "cheap" at times due to time constraints and frustrations with allied officcers taking out objective targets thus making you reload your save. Intermin saves are a lifesaver in this and hte guides on Gamefaqs made it manageable to say the least despite the language barrier. It took a decent chunk of time to earn this one and there were a couple of tricky objectives but despite the frustrations I would still say overall I enjoyed the game. Popular Post markcavan
#198/199 - Life is Strange on PS3/PS4 (#22/23 of 2018) Don't know why its taken me so long to play this as I generally really enjoy the story telling in episodic adventures. I won't ruin the story here with spoilers but if you have not played this you should. Episodes 1 & 5 would be my favorites (minus some of the nightmare section). Also, playing twice meant I could complete both endings with the choice of 'Spanish Sahara' by foals for the sad ending being brilliant. One downside would be it appears outside of the very last choice at the end of the game your previous choices had 'little' impact on the overall story. Overall 8/10 enjoyment with a 2/10 for difficultly

Popular Post mecharobot
34th , VANARGAND VALKYRIA REVOLUTION Grand Cordon of the Azure Wolf, 9.68% rarity I'm fairly sure most people keeping up with the Valkyria Chronicles games already know that this spin-off of sorts was not the best return for the franchise on a home console. I went at it with a pretty open mind regardless. I think that more than feeling it's disappointing, I think it's just not a very satisfying game to play. The story is way too gigantic for something labeled as a spin-off and the gameplay is barebones party based ARPG that does not hold a candle even to DQ Heroes. It has the ambition, but the game budget just doesn't warrant to sit through what must be 15 hours of cutscenes, which are skippable, but the dialogue pace is set. So yeah, I just skipped at least half of them. Trophywise, it's not too bad. The trophy art and plat image are cool. All story trophies are for defeating bosses, not for beating chapters, which is why they are so scarce and it's kind of weird. The worst trophy was grinding for 300 000 kr, which took me a little over 100 times playing one boring mission over and over again. At least it gave me a reason to mute the tv and listen to some anime songs at the background. In any case, there's just so many more satisfying JRPGs out there that the only reason to get this would be due to franchise loyalty and maybe getting triple Valkyria platinum when VC4 comes out, which is what I eventually aim for. Popular Post markcavan
#200 - Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy on PS4 (#24 of 2018) My 1st platinum was Jak and Daxter on PS3 over 4 years ago so when I picked up the remaster version on PS4 I felt it would be a good 200th milestone. Overall the game is still as good as I remember and was a nice playing it again. Its now my 4th time completing this game (PS2, PS3, Vita, PS4) and its still one of my favorites. I look forward to revisiting Jak2 and Jak3. Overall 8/10 enjoyment with a 3/10 for difficultly
