Ni no kuni II: Revenant Kingdom
Platinum Difficulty: 3/10

 

Took me 65 hours. Really fun and enjoyable game, had to buy it since I enjoyed and also platinumed the first game 5 years ago. Plat was not too hard, lots of sidequests and managable Kingdom mode. First 20 hours of the game was a piece of cake, laughable main story bosses that die with no challenge, then the difficulty increases and it becomes more interesting. Managed to beat the main story and do most of the side quests within 50 hours, then the last hours were for cleanup and level grinding (63-77) to beat the hardest boss, apparently. Some lower levelled tainted were much harder. Apart from its minor bugs and difficulty, it's a really great game which I enjoyed, but towards the end you feel like you just want to complete the game and leave it behind.

 

Batman: A telltales story

Platinum Difficulty: 1/10

 

Very good story. I thought that The Walking Dead series were the best from TT, but this one was really well made. No negatives! Haven't played the 2nd yet though.

 

Monster Hunter: World

Platinum Difficulty: 6/10

 

This one took me 240 hours to plat.  Huge time drain but well worth the fun. It's a great game and well made, you get surprised how there are no bugs and how the monsters behave natural. I expected to see some monsters doing dumb illogical stuff since it's a game, but I didn't see any errors at all. Big kudos for this. After you beat the story, which took me 80 hours, you lose interest in continuing the game. But since I wanted the platinum, I spent 160hours crown farming and well yeah, it's a big achievement.

Cheers man.i Feel you on the hit detection. I've definitely lost so much health to enemies where i'm certain I'd get the bounce, but instead it detects me clipping them on the side. Learnt to just play it safe after a while.

#210 - Wheels of Aurelia on PS4 (#34 of 2018)

 

Road trip story adventure which branches off into 16 different endings.  Add to that some other trophies requirements you will need 20+ plays to get this completed but the game is short which each play taking between 10-20 minutes to complete.  A good game and easy enough platinum but beware, the guide on this site has some shortcomings so make sure to check out the comments section.  I also picked this up in a recent sale for €2.99 so check for it in sales.

 

Overall 5/10 enjoyment and 3/10 difficultly

I don't even know how to rate this game. Sure, the controls were a bit finicky, and the puzzles weren't all great... but none of that matters in light of the emotions this game made me feel. The music is - honestly - some of the best I've ever heard in a video game (seriously, it's gorgeous), and the ending hit me hard. I don't know what else to say other than that this game is an absolute work of art, and worth a play for literally anyone; gamer or not. I'm a changed person after playing this game, and that's more than I can say for most forms of media, let alone games. Though certainly not a perfect game, I have absolutely no doubt I'll remember this game for years. Easy platinum too... but if you're playing this game just for the platinum, you're robbing yourself of one of what is - in my opinion - one of the most powerful stories in gaming. Do yourself a favour and play this game without any spoilers; you won't regret it!

So sick of trophies popping without the trophy image like this while showing up delayed even though the auto trophy screenshots and timestamps are when the trophy should have popped.  At least it doesn't impact getting the trophies but just an OCD thing that bugs me.  Ever since they made it so that PS4 trophies auto-sync I seem to constantly get this now.  Anybody else having this problem?

Kingdom Hearts Hearts Birth By Sleep is a 2010 prequel of the series released originally for the PSP. The game is set 10 years prior the events of Kingdom Hearts, in a time where three inseparable friends are training to become the next Keyblade Masters. Soon after the introduction of Terra, Aqua and Ventus in the Land of Departure, we learn that both Aqua and Terra will shortly commence the Mark of Mastery of exam, accompanied by their Master Eraqus and grand Master Xehanort, in is first real appearance. As the exam begins, Master Xehanort seeing the darkness in Terra heart manipulates the test so only Aqua passes, lessening Terra's control of the darkness in his heart. By witnessing the darkness in Terra's heart, Eraqus entitles Aqua as the new Keyblade Master. As Master Xehanort departs a mysterious horde of creatures know as the Unversed begin to appear throughout the worlds. Learning about these developments from Master Yen Sid, Eraqus sends Terra and Aqua to destroy the Unversed and find what stirred this unprecedented turn of events. Terra and Aqua are tasked to travel across countless worlds while Ventus is ordered to remain in Land of Departure. Witnessing all his plot unfold as he intended to, Xehanort sends his apprentice Vanitas to manipulate Ventus, so he can follow Terra and leave Land of Departure, as each of the warriors leave, Eraqus makes one final request to Aqua, to watch Terra actions and return Ventus to the Land of Departure.

 

 

 

Just like it's predecessors, expect Birth By Sleep to embark you on a beautiful journey across countless Disney worlds and Final Fantasy heroes. As the game progresses new mechanics are introduced such as the new revamped gameplay system called Command System. This system allows players to customize a Command Deck with techniques and abilities that they can perform at will, leading to powerful surge command after the gauge is full. The game also features new classic annoyingly mini games, a new Command board, which is essentially a Monopoly mini game. The game also shares three main scenarios, each one of then taking place through each of the main protagonist eyes, after all of then are completed, all their paths converge leading to a heart throbbing clash.

 

   

 

Filled with charming characters and new features, Kingdom hearts Birth By Sleep rightfully earned the title as one of the best games from the series, a enchanted adventure from start to finish. As all hearts converge in 2018 with the release of Kingdom Hearts 3, BBS is a perfect place to get acquainted with series and witness the beginning of one of the best series in Square Enix history

I guess im the only one in the world that plat the game twice cuz i can. The hong kong server r terrible i had all the time lags frezes . At evening my time between 7 pm till 1 am my lags were gone. The problem was when my lags was gone all chinese japanese ppl sleep then ._. . So it was hard for me to get the 25 epic dungeon runs done. Only 100-150 ppl playing there lol. I had luck i got invited to a guild dat was part of the biggest alliance on hk servers at ps 4. Ppl had patience with me with my uber lags hah otherwise i couldnt plat it.  Without a guild u cant do a single epic dungeon in hk servers cuz nobody join random que que . For eu us players i wouldnt recomend to play on hk neverwinter ^^.

Another great game from the makers of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Had a blast playing this with my brother in couch co-op. Trophies are not story related (yay) and required doing some miscellaneous stuff, so that was fun It's also nice to see another rare example of a prison break game.

The long-awaited sequel to one of the best Level-5 games is finally here It's a pretty good game, but I ended up still liking the first one more (especially the monster taming parts and Studio Ghibli's involvement). The platinum wasn't too difficult, the higgledies were fine, the kingdom building was awesome, and we finally got alternate outfits for playable characters again I made use of PowerPyx's guides for this and they were mostly helpful, though there was some "incorrect" info (either misleading, exaggerated, or wrong) there but that's not surprising considering how much work went into it (and how fast he got them out). Looking forward to the later DLC now

 

Some extra non-platinum stuff I did:

• Completed all kingdom research and leveled all citizens to Master rank
• Maxed out kingsguilders several times over
• Collected 93/100 Higgledies (didn't farm for the super rare materials for the rest)
• Completed nearly every side quest (174/175, RNG was refusing to give me the last item from the 10th Dreamer's Maze and I don't feel like continuing my attempts to get it right now)
• Collected all alternate outfits except for one (the above mentioned side quest's reward)
• Opened all the non-random treasure chests
• Defeated all 60 tainted monsters (didn't even level grind to do it, 75+ is not required)

the jak grind isn't over yet, the next game will be jak 3 (ps4). now about 2 away from the boss round and it happens to be one of my favorite games.: jak 3 is easier with debug mode compared to 2 with debug mode.

Another really easy platinum. It was interesting to see how the series started out, mediocre game though. Controls were clunky and my left thumb got sore from the sprint button ? The 4 playthroughs wasn’t nearly as sickening as I thought it would be! Final play time was just over 14 hours.

 

Cutting through my PS3 backlog at a nice pace, 7/12 platinum’s I’ve earned so far this year have been PS3 games. Started God of War Ascension today, really enjoying it so far! Forgot how much I enjoyed this series.

Earn all the trophies in the game (excluding additional content trophies).

 

This is only the second racing game I've platinumed, and my first in nearly two years, so this was a tough step out of my comfort zone that I likely would've waited longer to take if not for the untimely server shutdown. But this game was really enjoyable, pretty entertaining, quite challenging and even brutal at times, but equally rewarding to play.

 

My rust in the racing genre showed clearly in my first couple of races, as I couldn't seem to get away from walls and had trouble executing the simplest corners, even on the lowest speed class. But as I improved with more playing, most of the experience was a blast, especially the fast-paced races on the Phantom speed class and Zone mode. Some of the more noteworthy moments: zooming and barrel rolling on the eight tracks, while clashing with other ships and exchanging weapons. Zipping through Zone mode at Zen, Subsonic, and Mach 1 speeds. And even the Detonator and Eliminator races from the Fury DLC, along with the newer tracks from it. The option of flying to your own custom music made it even better! A lot of it was also obviously tough to pull off too, namely the four famous gold trophies of the trophy list. For each of those four, you had to dedicate some time to learning each of the tracks, handling the various turns, and discovering the optimal racing line was required. These coupled with elite AI, with their masterful and unfavorable use of weapons and ability to airbrake through the tightest corners flawlessly, made for some of the most dreadful parts of the platinum. Not to mention Zone Zeus and Beat Zico, the former taking a few hours and the latter of which needed 130 laps. In the end, it was all a matter of improving and keeping with it. This was an awesome racer, and an incredibly satisfying platinum to get.
