Popular Post RedRodriguez87
The Hero of Heroes So here it is, my first Ratchet and Clank game. All in all, I'm kinda wishing I had played this series sooner. This came out around the same time as PS's other IPs (Sly, Jak) and it was also when Prince of Persia had made sort of a come back. It was also right around the time when two of these series made their desperate attempt to be dark and SRS, which often resulted in a newer slicker badazzz attitude and guns and violence aplenty, that I guess I just subconsciously ignored this series as a result when I saw the gameplay and box art. And I kinda wish I didn't, because if this installment is even a fraction of what I could've played back then, then this was probably the shining star out of all those games. Not to be mean to the fans, but this game is like everything Jak 2 WANTED and failed to be. You have platforming, shooting, combat, vehicle races, all of it designed to work with each other, and not be shoehorned in awkwardly to a gameplay style that doesn't call for it. As for this particular entry, I will say it feels really toothless. I mean, I read that this game's protagonist was basically in name only to the original, but YEESH. A couple of people have described it as the writers wanting to emulate Pixar, and that makes sense to me. As with most attempts to copy them, they never factor in their (Pixar and Disney) ability to treat their audiences with respect, old AND young, when it came to the serious moments. This game seemed dead set on sucking any sort of emotion and tension out of itself, with nearly every other line being a joke or gag. But still, I had alot of fun with this game, enough so that I will keep my eye out for it should it ever come back in the near future.
Popular Post Zach
#77 God of War Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 5/10 (Played on Normal, not Easy) Time: 40hrs God of War is a 10 out of 10 in every aspect across the board for me. Join Kratos again for another epic adventure, but this time Kratos has a son! And instead of the usual 10hr platinum, you're looking at 35-40hrs minimum. Which is great in my book! I really think I should've played on easy for trophy sake, because of the Valkyries, but it was so much more rewarding. And those of you wondering why there isn't a difficulty-related trophy? Trust me, you don't want one. Normal is somewhere between hard and very hard in the previous god of war games. God of War Ascension on hard difficulty was way easier than normal difficulty on this game. Well that's all. I wonder what I'll play next. P.S. Make sure to go and sleep (At home from the beginning of the game) after beating the game. You'll thank me later. Popular Post Lars
#139: Far Cry 5: Another game from one of my favorite franchises, together with Dirt and Ratchet and Clank. This one is again so much fun although it has some issues as well. I really liked the new system where you can choose your own way around the world and do the different regions in the way you choose. The story was good, until the ending. I won't spoil it here but i really didn't like the ending at all. I expected something different. The characters were very well written though, each had their own story and their own reasons for their actions. I think Joseph Seed was a good main villain although not the same level as Vaas. The other ones were good as well, especially Jacob and John were creepy and weird guys. I must say though that the writers and world designers had some crazy thoughts when making this game, you'll encounter many weird situations were people have been sacrificed in the most cruel ways. Same goes for the story, the game tries your best to make you hate the cult, which works out well. Especially the side mission where you have to kill The Cook, don't play that mission when you've just eaten. The world is beautiful and alive, there is much to do but not too much. And because you do most of it on foot it feels massive, all the locations are nice and fun to explore, always keep your eyes open because there are many unmarked treasures in the world. For example there are many hidden perk magazines and hunting magazines in the different houses. The way you explore and discover the world is fun but also has some improvement options. You discover locations by talking to NPC's you find in locations or that you liberate from the cult, the thing is though that almost every NPC has something to say so the map unlocks really quick and then it still can turn into sort of a checklist. I started in Jacob's region and i discovered everything that there was to discover about 2/3 of the way through his region. So i knew every outpost, prepper stash mission and every side character before even going to the other regions. So that is an improvement point, that NPC's tell you about stuff in the region your in, not about other regions. And they can tell you more, for example other locations, fishing and hunting spots. Another issue i have with every Far Cry game is the way you progress through the world. It is way too easy to unlock the strong weapons and strong perks. This leads to the following situation which i've had in every Far Cry game, you spend loads of time in the starting region, in my playthrough this was the left half of Jacob's region. Here you struggle, you try to get the useful perks, hunt some animals for money and so on. Here you don't make much story progression. But when you have the required perks and weapons that suit you you can then make so much progress through the game and some core mechanics lose al their influence, hunting is such a thing for example. You can earn loads of money with this but money isn't necessary at all. You only have to buy some weapons and for a trophy you have to buy vehicles. This lead to me spending 2,5 weeks in Jabobs region, a free weekend and 1 week in which i did both John and Faith's region. Oh yeah, and Peaches and Boomer as a combination is OP as hell, you can eliminate a whole outpost without even entering it. Side missions are all very well done and fun. There is a big variety of content and there weren't many outposts, but the ones that were there were fun and well developed locations. And man i loved the prepper stashes, those were some of the most fun side missions i ever had in a video game. From now on, every game should have something like this, just a small puzzle that is easy to solve but gives a good reward. The other side missions were fun but i didn't play that many because for completing the regions it didn't matter that much. Another small issue for me was the lack of weapons. Especially assault rifles, there were only 2 of them. And now Ubisoft give me the DLC, especially the Vietnam war one looks really promising. I can recommend this one to anyone who likes a good open world shooter with puzzle elements in it and who likes a world that is alive. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 P.S.: I don't even talked about the Arcade because that was so boring to play. Just not fun and could have been better developed or just left out of the game.

Popular Post X_Wizi_X
#86 Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3) #87 Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Remastered (PS4) Once I tried Brutal mode, the Crushing one seemed to be a piece of cake. Brutal is brutal even if you active the Tweaks glitch https://forum.psnprofiles.com/topic/53624-tweaks-glitch-brutal/#comment-1519519. Two hits and you're dead (sometimes just 1). Worst parts were the Water room, the Sanctuary Courtyard fight, last part before the boss where you have to press O to avoid the falling crate, but most of all the Jeep escape: 1 hour and 22 minutes to complete that f*****g chapter. Considering the age of the Ps3 version, its graphic is stunning. Enjoyment: 7.5/10 Difficulty: 5.5/10

Some levels took up 200 tries, reloading was instant. PSVITA came much easier for me, faster at responding than on the big screen. 1-2 hours for ones who can handle Platforming. 3-6 hours for others. The Circle is Complete glitched on me so I had to do another playthrough.? For those going for this plat in the future make sure you do the runes trials in game and not from the main menu cuz it can glitch on you and you'll probably have to do another playthrough. Popular Post MidnightDragon
#23 Batman: The Enemy Within I enjoyed this story more than the first one, though the final choice you made in the game really grinded my gears, though won't spoil it for whoever hasn't played it yet. Like the first season, I enjoyed this take on the Batman mythos and also liked to see how much your choices play into making the Joker. I decided to do the Vigilante Joker path. I watched videos of the villain Joker path as well, but it was an interesting twist, though it doesn't change the fact Joker is born in the end. I hope they make a third season...they definitely set it up for one. Edited May 1, 2018 by Spyro
Popular Post Redgrave
#128: I am The Night - Batman: The Enemy Within This is definitely up there with The Walking Dead Season 1 for me. Both this and Season 1 were a nice take on the Batman stories we usually get and I think they executed the ideas well enough. Especially all the things with John Doe and the other villains. Highly recommend this and Season 1 if you like Batman. I did feel some of the choices were pretty obvious, like choosing between Gordon and Waller, or whether or not to take Alfred's advice (at least until the end). If they make a Season 3 I hope they can still keep it fresh and know how to execute the new ideas the right way.
