Icebrand1270
It's been some time posting as getting serious computer time is not easy anymore for me. Anyway, here's some recent Plats: 30. Cat Quest 6-2-2018 31. Lara Croft GO (PS4) 6-4-2018 32. Nightmares From The Deep 2: The Siren's Call 6-27-2018 I have now earned 3 or more Plats a month for 6 consecutive months! Cat Quest is a game with swords, dodging, magic, dungeons, and more cat puns than you can shake two paws at! Plenty of humor... and plenty of action! And a sequel announced too! Purrtastic! Lara Croft GO follows in the footsteps of Hitman GO with a sliding puzzle diorama setup. It's also easier as hints are permitted this time. Nightmares From The Deep 2 is one of Artifex Mundi's many hidden object games ported to PS4 and one of a trilogy where a museum curator named Sarah Black looks to use her intelligence and resourcefulness to defeat the legendary sea demon and patron of pirates Davy Jones. The games can be easier with a walkthrough and most require 2 playthroughs, as is well known, due to alternate ways to solve hidden object puzzles (Mahjong in this case). Note that these games cost 15 dollars now when they once cost 10, and not the first price increase if you go back to their days on Steam from what I hear. Crazy, I tell you. Next up, you ask? Trying to Plat Horizon Zero Dawn... and just 8 trophies away as well! A week, perhaps? We shall see!

I feel like I've lost a chunk of my life from grinding so much on Titan.. lol. I'm just glad I don't have to touch the Hunter and the Warlock characters anymore... Popular Post TheLastSurvivorD
#85: Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves HD Master Thief Unlock all trophies for Sly Cooper's final outing. . . final? Really? And that is the main Sly Cooper series complete for me. Now that I'm done with this, I slightly regret that I played Sly 4 when it was on Plus, having played none of the previous games in the trilogy at the time and knowing nearly nothing of the series as I do now. But anyhow, this was quite the special ride, and I enjoyed it even more than the other two games in the trilogy. It isn't as long as Band of Thieves was, nor were some of the other Cooper Gang members as interesting or involved as I'd hoped. But the game had its fair share of greater moments, jobs, additions, (I loved naval combat in AC4, and even though it's much more simple, I knew that I'd like this too) and an arguably better story. And that's in addition to the series' lovable humor, art style, and always entertaining platforming. For the most part, the Master Thief challenges were more fun than they were any difficult, especially as you begin to get the hang of the various minigames. Now, time to wait and hope for a Sly 5 to come around... whenever, or if ever, that'll be here.

Popular Post Major_Kiba
168: Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor GOTY Overall I thought that this was a good game. However one of my major issues with the game is the fact that the nemesis system feels like such a wasted opportunity the game was just too easy even before you got some of the more powerful abilities and the only time I found myself dying was when I let it happen when going for specific trophies. Still a fun game but personally I feel that the game would have needed to be several times harder to make full use of the nemesis system. If that system ended up in Soulsborne like game it could be amazing. 169:Apotheon It was an okay game the combat felt really clunky but it was so easy that it didn't really matter. 170: Battlefield 1 I really enjoyed the multiplayer for this game and could have probably have gotten the platinum sooner if I didn't spend as much time playing the mp but luckly I still have dlc trophies to earn which gives me an excuse to keep playing. Also the game looks absolutely beautiful.

Popular Post Zach
#92 Red Faction: Armageddon Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Time: 15hrs I really enjoyed Armageddon. Unfortunately it was highly underrated. My theory on this is because of Red Faction: Guerrilla. You can't just go from the badass open-world mars game that was Guerrilla back to linear story telling, which was in Armageddon. The reason I really liked Armageddon was because of the aliens. There was a lot of build up and suspense leading up to the reveal of the aliens. I don't think aliens were introduced until mission 3. And in that mission, you're slowly going through a cave and the aliens are taking their time showing themselves. I thought the story was very well thought out, but definitely had its boring moments. For lack of open world, some boring moments, and sometimes repetitive missions, I'm going with a 8/10. I'd suggest playing this game and it's only 5$ at most places used these days.

Popular Post cr1s
#366 - Lost Planet 3 E.D.N. III Unveiled Unlock all Trophies. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 The third main entry in the Lost Planet series, this game is actually a prequel to the first game and is set 50 years before it. You play as a guy who joins an expedition on E.D.N. III in order to support his family. What's supposed to be a quick job turns into something much bigger than that, because it's obviously never that easy. The story is alright, albeit having some predictable moments and lazy voice acting here and there. It ultimately fails to be intriguing, though. Just when you think things might get more interesting... they really don't, and you're left kinda disappointed. As a game that emphasized a return to a story-driven narrative compared to its predecessor, it leaves much to be desired in that department. And although there are audio/text logs, they don't add much to the lore. The gameplay is fun... at first. The enemies you encounter mostly are reptilian insectoids called Akrid. Defeating them is quite simple: dodge, shoot their weak spot(s) for a bit, rinse and repeat. That's pretty much how it goes most of the time. Occasionally, you'll have to take cover, as a couple of the Akrid types like to attack you from afar 90% of the time. At the very end of the campaign, you'll encounter humans as enemies, but only for a brief time. Thankfully, it's not entirely monotonous, as you get to control a giant Rig at times that makes battling enemies feel quite different. Its main weapon is the Drill, which is the only effective weapon against the bigger Akrid's weak spots. It's kinda like the Big Daddy from BioShock, but not as satisfying to control. You also get to battle another Rig on two separate occasions, which is neat. That said, the weapons are off - sometimes they feel really overpowered, but other times you'll find yourself switching to a different weapon. When you can defeat the final boss within 3 minutes on the hardest difficulty by shooting at his Rig's weak spots from a distance with a Shotgun, then there's clearly something wrong. Or maybe his Rig was that weak. But hey, I'm not complaining, as I had spent the previous attempt shooting at him with a different weapon for like 10 minutes, only to die near the end of the fight. And speaking of the hardest difficulty, it's not as hard as its trophy rarity implies. It's the typical hardest difficulty that you find in most games these days; in other words, nothing too difficult. Besides that, there's not much else worth mentioning. The game itself is presented in an open-world fashion, but if you're not playing a main mission, the world feels really empty. The environments are cool (pun totally not intended) and nice to look at. The pre-rendered cutscenes are really good and well animated, but I can't say the same otherwise. The graphics are okay, nothing to write home about. All in all, this game is alright. It's far from being a "highly engrossing cinematic single player experience", but it's not terrible either. I might've enjoyed it a bit more had I played any of the previous Lost Planet games beforehand. The trophy list isn't too bad considering the platinum rarity. You have a dozen multiplayer trophies that don't take a lot of time to do, a bunch of story-related trophies, some collectible-related trophies, a difficulty-related trophy, and a few miscellaneous trophies. It's definitely not as hard or time-consuming as the Lost Planet 2 platinum, which I've heard horror stories about. Popular Post Meachamp-
Amnesia: Memories #16 Time to Platinum: 15 hours | Difficulty: 1/10 | Enjoyment: 5/10 A game that will not need one of my long ass posts at all. As everything is all story related and there are so many stories going on that it would be kind of hard to make an overview. Also, there isn't really gameplay as you're just making decisions throughout your playthroughs so all you're really doing is chilling and reading a story. It's an Otome game though so I wasn't really expecting it to appeal to me since you know, I'm a male BUT I'm a sucker for a story and decided to give it a go. All characters are annoying really but if I was to choose someone who had a half a brain it would be Kent I guess? He was the only one who seemed sane, awkward but sane. The rest can all make an emo boy band Oh an there was a couple of side games of air hockey and rock papers scissors which were an okay addition but pretty much useless besides the trophies and a picture at the end for the gallery. Some stories were really weird with there being a attempted murder, playboy, doll fanatic, extreme psycho and Kent. That's the overview you're getting for this one. Ohh it's my first Vita platinum so there's that! Edited June 29, 2018 by Meachamp-

Popular Post Carol
#133 God of War Father and Son Obtain all other trophies I couldn't resist the hype surrounding this game, so I bought it during the "Days of Play" sale. It didn't disappoint. It's a very "Naughty Dog-style" game, which makes it a very good experience. Everything is very well made and you can see this game took a lot of work to do. It was a very enjoyable experience: always interesting and never boring. The story is beautiful and I also liked to have Atreus around. He's a funny boy and his presence lightens the game. The platinum is considerably time-consuming, but the only truly hard thing is defeating Sigrun, the Valkyrie Queen. This battle requires skill, patience, practice, perseverance and finding what armor and items are better for each player. Sigrun is pretty brutal, but once you begin to learn how she behaves and how to deal with her attacks, you start feeling that she's manageable and the battle becomes more rewarding. She was hard to beat, but when I finally did it, it was a glorious moment. Probably, one of the most glorious moments that I had on PS4 until now. I totally recommend this game.

Popular Post IntroPhenom
Platinum #34 LEGO The Hobbit The Road Goes Ever On Current rarity: 27.05% Personal Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Very fun Lego game, with the usual comical moments, frustrating camera angles, terrible AI combat, and glitchy parts. My game froze a couple of times, and my trophy for collecting a ton of studs only popped once I exited the area I was in, went elsewhere, and picked up one more stud. Who knows? A handful of the mithril bricks were challenging to obtain and took several tries. Quite a few items were necessary to collect, and in large quantities, which was a cool addition to the usual LEGO way about things. All in all, my forty hours of game play was worth while. Weird how the game ends, though. DLC was meant to follow the main release, but never did, so the story just kind of stops. Oh well.

GoldenShaka
#90 Yoku's Island Yoku's Island Express. I was never a fan of pinball, but considering this game has a mix of that and platforming I wanted to try it. Very fun game, but very, very short, especially for the $30 physical version. Digital is $20, with a little drop is totally worth it. Missed opportunity not having this on Vita.
Popular Post Omelette Paradise
#211 InkSplosion (Vita) I enjoyed this and thought that it was a fun little game. The patch for the Vita version that allows you to disable the ink makes thinks a lot easier because it's a lot easier to follow whats happening on screen. I haven't decided whether or not to stack the PS4 version yet as when I tried it out on my sub-account I struggled badly. The screen is too cluttered for my liking with all the ink on-screen. If the devs released the same patch from the Vita version on PS4 then that would be a different matter #212 Suicide Guy This was....actually rather fun. I expected very little from this and I ended up enjoying it a lot. You play as a slob type guy who has to take part in a series of suicide style missions after dropping his beer all over the floor. The goal of all this is to save his beer and to escape the fast food restaurant he's locked inside. Each of the game's levels plays out like a 1st person puzzle platformer where you need to "locate this to enable this switch/solution" etc. Some of them are easy and others are quite tricky without a guide. A lot of the levels also have a wicked sense of humor. The art style is attractive looking and slick although I found the platforming to be a little bit clunky in places. Overall I would recommend if you find a good deal on it in a sale. This game surprised me and it may surprise you too.
