Popular Post Angel
Battle Chasers Nightwar I am really surprised on how much I came to love this hidden gem since I knew very little about it and it was up on sale for vey cheap. The story was good, the characters were charming, but the gameplay is what engaged me. Gameplay revolves around dungeon crawling while battles being turned based. Platinum wise from my personal experience, the difficulty was challenging especially on NG+ but it was fun figuring out the right set ups after trial and error. While there are a few story related trophies and the other trophies will unlock just by playing. The ones that require 100% beastiary or getting all legendary weapons for example; will need a guide as well as a second playthrough is needed. Thank you for your time and wishing you the best on your next platinum.

Popular Post MoneyBagMav
7-3-18 Platinum #75 (Milestone) 8.5/10 My first PS4 title and one of my favorite stories. I can remember when I first played this a few years ago, from intro to end it kept me interested. Coming back to it a few months ago to finally finish it and make it my 75th platinum was something I had been looking forward to. My only real complaint about the game is the collectibles were a bit buggy. I ended up playing it a total of 3.5 times. The first was a normal run with no guide, second on grounded+ collectibles (only to find out they bugged), half way through again to get all guns maxed, than my final full run on easy to clean all the collectibles on a fresh save. Even with the bugs it's one of my favorite PlayStation exclusive titles and it's got me looking forward to TLOU2. While it looks pretty good and the music isn't bad either, the gameplay is too slow and doesn't offer enough variety. Popular Post Dragon-Archon
#183: Criminal Girls Invite Only In this game souls of delinquents are sent to Hell in order to go through a reformation program to accept their sins and change their ways. This is done by climbing the Spire. Doing so will allow them to be reborn on Earth. You play as the one in charge of a group and your task is to guide them through the Spire and motivate them. The story was better than I thought and my favourite character is Himekami. Motivating characters is done through mini-games. The EU/NA version has censored images in these mini-games, but the censoring doesn't make any sense. Some images have pink fog if a character's underwear is shown and others do not. Motivating also unlocks new skills to use during battles. Combat is a little different, as skills are seemingly randomly chosen. I say seemingly, because after playing the game I noticed that it depends on which enemy is fought. If you fight one that's weak to ice, ice skills will show up more often. Whenever an enemy was charging a powerful attack, the guard option would almost always appear. Then there are enemies like Greater Devil, that almost always have a magic skill and/or hard hitting melee skill to choose. The second turn usually had regular crappy melee attacks, then the third turn included a skill, then crappy melee again, etc. So it seems to be preset patterns and skill pools and not completely random. During each turn in combat 1 item can be used as well. To get each character's ending it's necessary to turn them into knights and beat the boss, which means doing this 7 times. Then one of those save files that unlocked an ending needs to be reloaded in order to beat the boss again to continue the story. All in all defeating that boss 8 times was way too much, especially since that boss liked to hit the entire party with status ailments, charge an attack, and use an attack that randomly hits 9 times. The true final boss of the true ending route was also very cheap. It had an attack that hits the party 13 times and it could do 2 actions per turn. When it had around 25% health left, it would do that attack twice per turn, which could bring a party at full health to 1-2 at critical health and the other 2-3 dead. The boss would use it twice per turn, followed by once, then twice again the next turn until it was defeated or until my party was dead. This is a very cheap way to make something hard and left a bitter aftertaste, as this was the final thing to do for the platinum trophy. So, I saved up money and bought items that could ignore RNG and make a character's special knight ability available and it wouldn't even cost mp to use. That way the tank would use her special skill that makes the party immune to all melee and magic damage for 2 turns and my hardest-hitting character would use her special ability the second turn to do 10,000-11,000 damage with buffs. After 5 of these attacks the boss was defeated. All in all I had fun with the game, but it has some flaws. I might give the sequel a try when it's on sale. Popular Post cr1s
#367 - Rayman Origins (Vita) Sweet Dreams! Won ALL trophies in the game! SICK! Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 The plot is pretty basic: Rayman and his friends are relaxing in their hideout, but one of his friends' continuous snoring eventually annoys the living hell out of an old lady from the "dark world", who proceeds to unleash monsters everywhere and capture them and some nymphs. This apparently causes the Creator to go haywire. You play as Rayman (no shit, Sherlock ) and have to rescue everyone during the first half of the game and bring the Creator back to his senses during the second half. I like how the game ended in the same way that it started, that gave me a good chuckle. And that intro was quite hilarious. Each world in Rayman Origins follows a specific theme, such as jungle, desert, ice, snow, lava, underwater, etc., although some themes can occasionally cross over to other worlds. It is divided into many levels, most of which are carefully thought out and involve some very fun platforming. Each main level is broken down into many sections with a checkpoint in-between. Thoroughly exploring each section rewards you with a bunch of Lums, as well as a Hidden Cage at times. Doing so is critical in order to get the Lums required for each Medallion. You don't have to get all the Lums in each level for that though, so you can miss some Lums and still get the Medallion. Along the way, you will have to deal with various kinds of enemies and hazards, which fit in with the current world's theme. You will also come across one of the aforementioned nymphs in each of the first 5 worlds; saving them will grant you with a certain ability that will make completing the current and future worlds possible. You can also replay these levels in the form of Time Trials, where you gotta forget all about exploring and focus on getting to the finish line as fast as you can. The times for most of those were surprisingly forgiving - only a few of them presented somewhat of a challenge. In addition to the main levels, each world also features side levels like one Treasure Chase and one Mosquito level. Treasure Chases have a simple concept: you need to chase a treasure chest as it goes through the level while avoiding all the hazards along the way. While these levels are generally shorter than the main levels, they can still take a few tries to complete as they feature faster-paced platforming action. They weren't hard though and I enjoyed going through them. (Completing all 10 of these will unlock a bonus level, and although its description makes it seem daunting, it's not. Sure, each section took more than a few tries to get through as the timing for your actions is stricter here, but I got the hang of it fairly quickly. It could've been harder than that, and part of me wishes this were the case, but the other part feels like it would've felt out of place in this game.) On the other hand, Mosquito levels have you control a Mosquito and go through several sections in a shoot 'em up style. You can shoot using and inhale enemies and bombs using . Your goal is just to make it to the end, but you will also need to get most of the Lums if you're going for the Medallions. I generally didn't like these levels as much, but they were still okay. The game also features some boss fights, and while they are well designed and fun, they're not particularly memorable. Well, except for the bonus level's boss. The art style is tremendous and the environments are a sight to behold. The enemies' design is so cute that you almost forget they're supposed to be enemies. It's a cartoonish-looking game, which is not some people's cup of tea, but to me it's one of those games that must be experienced mainly because of that. Everything is so colorful and amusing - a welcome break from many games out there. The soundtrack keeps up with the wackiness of the game and comes in a variety of styles that more or less complement the section you're currently playing. You have Western-style music during Treasure Chases, soothing music during some of the underwater parts, funky Chipmunk-style music (which isn't annoying for once!) when you collect some of the Lums, the famous whistling tune, etc. It never fails to disappoint and truly makes the overall experience more entertaining and memorable. I think the fact that I occasionally find myself whistling that tune is a testament to that. It's sure to get stuck in my head for a while to come. I played the Vita version and I gotta say, it's a great port. However, it does suffer from a few minor issues. There's the occasional framerate drop here and there, but thankfully it's only barely noticeable and doesn't affect the gameplay. Towards the end of my first playthrough, I also had some problems with the audio randomly cutting out, but nothing a restart of the game didn't fix. Co-op is completely absent in this version, which kinda sucks. There are additional collectibles that are exclusive to this version, but I felt like those were completely unnecessary. Otherwise, it plays and feels great on the Vita. It's one of those games that's suited to it. If I were to describe this game in one word, I'd probably say "whimsical". It all flows very well and makes for a wonderful experience and, consequently, one of my favorite Vita games. Highly recommended if you're into platformers and/or looking for a fun Vita game to play. This was my first Rayman game and I had a lot of fun playing it. I'm looking forward to revisiting it and trying out other games in the series sometime. Popular Post Desmuria
#84 - Tacoma 14 Perfectionist Left no stone unturned during your time on Tacoma Station. Enjoyment: 4/10 Difficulty: 2/10 I picked this game up in a sale and I still feel I paid too much for it. It's OKAY, but nothing special. It's basically just a walking simulator in an abandoned space station. The zero G area is pretty cool, albeit frustrating to control. It tries too hard to be eerie and it's extremely repetitive. There are a few collectables, but nothing too difficult to obtain. It's just... BORING. The name of one particular trophy annoyed me: 'Therefore Art Thou', as the official quote from Shakespeare is 'WHEREFORE Art Thou'... I enjoyed reuniting the two cleaning robots, called Romeo and Juliet, despite the spelling error on the trophy. I'm easily amused... Don't buy this game if it's full price in the store. It's not worth the money. Trust me.

Popular Post BG_painter
Game of Thrones - Lord of Ironrath I stacked this plat, got it for the first time on the ps3, i bought it long agp because I am a fan of GoT, and it was a free ps plus on the ps4 a few months ago so I thought, "well why not play it again?" Meh. I don't recommend this game, the writting is very bad, and i like to call this game "bullying of thrones" because in the series/books the characters outsmart eachother, the writting in this game attemped to do this but did it very poorly so in the end the characters just bully the main player. Don't bother trying to pick the correct line, or be a nice person, everybody h8s u and all options are wrong or leading to the same situations. Anyways, the plat got me to lv26, so, all is good Edited July 4, 2018 by BG_painter

Popular Post Matrim_Drasgen
Platinum Number Twenty-One Diablo III: Reaper of Souls Platinum Trophy Collected all other Diablo III: Reaper of Souls trophies. 26th Jun 201811:34:25 PM 2.8%ULTRA RARE I like Diablo. Remember it on the original PlayStation as a kid. Diablo 2 was great, always played the druid but never beat it. Bought Diablo 3 for the computer and rocked the Witch Doctor. Re-bought the game for the PS3 and nearly got the platinum as a Demon Huntress. (Stupid collect 'x' gold for trophy!) I got this game thinking it would sync with my old PS3 and I could get my last trophy for it and the platinum with some new DLC. Disappointed they did not. Need to get back to the PS3 version for the completion. All in all, Diablo 3 is fun and good, simple platinum. Blizzard keeps adding to the game though not the trophy lists. In some ways, it makes getting the plat easier and the community still exists so you wont have to play alone for the trophy. Easy to get gear and help for the grinds, really shortens time til plat but makes the game much easier. Always a good position to be in, you can have the challenge or you can have major help, either way the road is fun and the story is unique, interesting, and enjoyable.
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
It's Showtime! Another day, another Lego Plat. Like most, it's not very filling, but still fun nonetheless, which is to be expected with a Lego game. The story, of course, is the Incredibles movies with that goofy Lego twist. (which means I may have spoiled myself, as I have yet to see 2 as of writing this). I kinda geeked multiple times playing this, as there are a lot of Easter eggs and unique twists to the plots that I really liked. Going purely off the 1st movie levels (as that's the movie I've seen), I like the idea of certain scenes being expanded upon (like Mr Incredible and Frozone having to save an entire hotel building and sneak back home OR them traveling to the island and fighting the omnidroid together), playing out with two people (like Gazerbeam being alive, almost feeding into fan theories of how many supers in fact managed to survive), or extra action set pieces (Violet and Dash sky-diving while avoiding plane debris was awesome), and of course, the multiple Pixar cameos, which actually makes me wonder if we'll ever see a legit Pixar universe movie, or game even. Of course, there is the flip-side; being Legos, no one dies on screen in this game, so expect a different somewhat lamer ending. But one gets used to it. The gameplay is very familiar to those who have played... well any other open world Lego game, but the tweaks made here I feel were really welcome. Firstly, the combat has been improved; each punch feels like its landed now, there is a combo system that also ties into a Super move system. Yeah, it's still shallow, but I like the fact that fighting has that OOMPH now. The open-world is big enough to feel like an entire city, but small enough that getting from point A to B never feels like a chore (fast travel helps too). The save system is of course set up to aid the player, meaning collectibles are saved immediately after getting them; no playing through an entire level because you happened to miss ONE. The one problem I had was with the load times. Even playing off the hard drive version, the loading is ridiculously long, so I recommend you have some other distraction while you are playing this game. All in all, a good time. I'm sure I'll find my way to seeing the sequel, but in case I don't, I'll always have the first, which I adored when it first came out. I'll never forget that teaser trailer.
