Popular Post vampiresarego
#52 - God of War (PS4) 10th June 2018 Father and Son 1 month, 3 days, 13 hours I really love this game! I know I am biased, I have loved the GoW franchise since the beginning, but this game truly shines. The updated game play, the beautiful graphics, the amazing soundtrack, and the story... that's right, God of War with an incredible story. Working my way through this game I never once felt like I was just grinding for the sake of grinding. Okay maybe the Nephilim stuff is a bit grindy. And the introduction of Atreus as an AI companion was cleverly done, any studio should look to how this system works. And to top it all off, the trophy list is definitely achievable by any trophy hunter. The last Valkyrie battle is definitely the hardest part of this game, but after a few attempts, a decent player will manage to make their way through it. I can't recommend this game enough. Easily, one of the best games of the year for Playstation. FREYA!!!
Popular Post FluffyAssassin64
#95 - Bioshock Infinite (Remastered) "Platinum Columbia" Acquire all other trophies In my opinion, this game stands as one of the greatest games of all time. Along with the rest of the Bioshock series, Bioshock Infinite is a towering example of what it means to play a game that transcends what most people expect games to be. The setting is beautiful, the story absolutely blew me away, and the combat, music, sound, replayability, DLC... this truly is the whole package. This is absolutely a game where I highly recommend NO SPOILERS, and absolutely demands a repeat playthrough (though I can't think of many people who wouldn't want to play this gem again anyway). After 3 total playthroughs of the main campaign, I was still uncovering new Easter eggs and hints; even in the early portions of the game. Absolutely masterful game design. Though in my eyes this is a 10/10 game, I can see that some people would have some issues with it; it's certainly not perfect. Combat can be a bit wonky, the 2-gun system is seemingly a step-back from past games, difficulty (especially in Burial at Sea: Episode 1) can seem wonky, and sound-syncing issues are frequent enough to be a bit annoying. That said, the utter beauty and wonder I get every single time I play this game far outweighs these shortcomings. Your arrival in Columbia is magical, there are multiple scenes that are absolutely awe-inspiring, locations are fresh and innovative, later missions bring things together wonderfully... ah, I could go on forever about how much I love this game! 100% worth a play from absolutely anyone. Quick note on DLC: Clash in the Clouds: this is a bit of a mixed bag. Some of the missions were incredibly fun (with fun objectives, or just leading to absolute demolition), while others - especially later missions - were quite frustrating. Going for the 'blue ribbon challenges' was also frustrating, as you have to re-start the whole 15-wave 'mission' even if you missed wave 12, for example. Most of them are very achievable, with a few (The 2nd lot of 2 Handymen in Emporia comes to mind...) being pretty darn annoying haha. All of that said, the depth to the combat system (including combinations and gun choices) was made clear to me though this DLC, and I had a fun time. Not incredible, but still fun Burial at Sea 1: again, a bit of a mixed bag. Difficulty in BaS 1 is all over the place, with ammo shortages and ridiculous damage from enemies abounding. That said, it also had some pretty awesome moments (dang in Cohen), and had a pretty great cliffhanger. The new plasmid + weapon (RADAR RANGE FTW) were also fun to mess around with Burial at Sea 2: with much more focus on stealth, this DLC was pretty solid in many ways. There were so many throw-backs to Bioshock 1, and I got an absolute kick out of seeing & hearing from more characters from the franchise (I'm a fanboy, what can I say?). Not everything is a success here, but the reveals and story twists were as mind-bending and incredible as ever. It was also a blast to play as Elizabeth for a change! Quick note on trophies: most are quite straight-forward and easy to achieve, but 1999 mode might prove troublesome for some. If you've played through the game once, you'll be much better equipped to know what you're dealing with. Use your vigor combos, be careful with what you upgrade, and be sure to explore (you'll still need money for upgrades, and infusions for shield/salts, and THEN health will be incredibly handy). Stay calm, and you'll be fine Also, with CitC (as briefly alluded to above), you'll find some challenges a bit frustrating; but be patient. Watch videos if you need to, and you'll get there. There are also some glitches to do with DLC trophies unlocking (e.g. I got my 1998 BaS 2 trophy when replaying BaS 1 for audio diaries for some reason... strange), so if you're having trouble with blue ribbon challenges, try getting every other trophy and see what happens Overall... wow. This is one of few games where - like the original Bioshock, The Last of Us, and Bloodborne - I could play over, and over, and over again and not get bored. An absolute masterpiece of a game that blew me away, as I'm sure it did for many of you as well (or will, if you have yet to play it). There's just something special about the 'feel' of being in this game world that I can't explain... but that keeps me coming back. I have no doubt that I will come back to this game again in the future (maybe not soon, but maybe once I've forgotten the details again :P). You absolutely owe it to yourself to get this game; you'll never think about games the same way again. Popular Post Inuty
#99 Assassins Creed Origins (PS4) Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Time: 60 hours After skipping some games of the AC series I wanted to try the new one to see how much it developed over the years. It was a lot of fun until round about 40 hours in the game. After that it feels like the same like every other Assassins Creed. A lot of repetitive Tasks (mostly the question marks) which you Need to do for a trophy. Go to this camp and kill this commander, search for all treasures, kill a leader animal in an hideout, find an Papyrus scroll, etc. It´s not bothering at first but if you do that over the whole map you can loose Motivation. The atmosphere and grafics are really stunning so if you want an incredible Environment you should Play this game. I can´t really get used to the battle System. Normally you can go to the camps and wipe them out without an assassination and I´m not sure anymore but for the other games it seems more reasonable to do everything in the shadows. By all means, ACO is not a bad game and I would recommend it to Player who like to explore Egypt on their own but for me it lost his touch after so many games. I will take a break again and will pass the new game. Maybe I buy it if it gets in the sale but I wouldn´t buy an AC game at full Price anymore.

DragonQuest238
Top of the Heap Yes, went back to Jak and Daxter again, but got really sick and tired of the game after I kept falling off the scaffolding in Spider Cave and plugged in the debug codes so I could just fly around the game world and get all of those stupid remaining power cells. I swear upon all that is holy, NEVER RETURNING TO THIS SERIES EVER AGAIN. WORST OF THE MASCOT TRILOGY!!!! ? The only reason I platted this game again was because it was part of my Backlog Pyramid.

Popular Post JaM
#242 Yakuza Kiwami KIWAMI Obtained all trophies. Have I finally found... the Ultimate Weeb Game? I have only bought this game on a whim. I really had no intention of buying this game but then I saw that the SteelBook copy of this game is pretty cheap and I guess I was curious what's with lots of positive feedback about the series *shrug*. And well, I was just glad that I bought it - I had a blast playing this game. The main plot is not really my favorite part of the game. What made me love this game are the substories and the minigames(well, until one brat ruined it) - Kiryu going to Karaoke is probably my favorite part in the game. The game is quite grindy but I really didn't mind it, I had fun doing it especially when it comes to Minigames. Platting the game was not that fun though especially when cleaning up. I really like Rie Kugimiya but I really hated Haruka during that Billiard request. There's also that Car Chase scene on Legendary mode that made me almost rage quit but luckily I was even to vent out my frustration with beating up(well, Spamming Tiger Drop) Lau Ka Long every failure. And let's not talk about Climax Battles Before playing the game, I always wonder why people wants Kiryu in Tekken 7 - after playing the game, I am now wondering why Kiryu hasn't been on Tekken games yet Would definitely recommend this game and I will definitely get Kiwami 2(maybe I'll get SteelBook again). Popular Post Carol
#136 Styx: Master of Shadows All the trophies Unlock all trophies This is a platinum that we don't see posted here a lot, but "Styx: Master of Shadows" is, actually, a pretty good stealth game. It's as fun as a stealth game can be, allowing you to cleverly play with the shadows, sneaking through your enemies or just discreetly killing them, if you prefer. You can also become invisible for a short while or create a clone to distract the enemies or to activate switches. You have several possible routes to your objective, but being above ground, circulating through ledges and beams, is always the most advisable way to proceed. The gameplay is very satisfactory. Talking now about the trophy list, this game has an ultra-rare platinum, currently sitting at 2.53%. It's a bit of a tiresome platinum, because you need to achieve all the insignias (shadow - no alerts; mercy - no kills; thief - collect every token; and swiftness - speedrun) for every mission, in order to have all the points necessary to buy all the skills. I definitely recommend playing the game first without worrying about the insignias and then using a guide for your insignia playthroughs. This platinum is ultra-rare, but it's certainly doable. The game is quite friendly, because you can save whenever you want and it saves your exact location, which is pretty useful when going for the insignias. In conclusion, if you are a stealth fan, I definitely recommend this game, that was on PS Plus a long time ago. Don't get scared by the ultra-rare platinum, since the game is fun and the plat is certainly achievable. I enjoyed this game a lot and I'm looking forward to playing the sequel sometime in the future.

Popular Post FreddySM14
133. Alone With You Space Pioneer Unlock all trophies. Fun meter 4/10 Billed as "A sci-fi romance adventure" was enough to drawn me to tried this game. Unfortunately it failed to deliver the most important part as none of the characters particularly stood out and they keep ramble endlessly about their life stories or past regrets. Even worse, I can only reply to them with very limited choice. ? I don't really expecting much from minimal gameplay since it's a interactive visual novel. You just need to find parts for the ship, gather clues and codes to unlock doors and end the day by speak to other characters by night. Difficulty 2/10 You need to complete this game 5 times to unlock every specific ending. There is guide already so you won't be lost. ☺ "Thank you for the sentiment Fred. Popular Post Lilseb93
#147- Middle-Earth: Shadow of WarDifficulty: 2/10 None of the trophies were really the hard. Most of them are from doing the Nemesis System. It's more grindy than anything. The hardest part about getting this plat was having the willpower to keep grinding. Although that one Olog trophy was a nightmare.Enjoyment: 8/10 I played this game once the microstransactions were taken out. I really enjoyed the first one so I knew I was probably going to enjoy this one. It's a lot of fun, but it definitely gets repetitive and very grindy. Having the real ending being tied down by a boring grind was disappointing. The story is OK. I can't say I was completely interested in the story even as a big Lord of the Rings fan. The gameplay and excellent Nemesis System makes up for everything. The Nemesis System is that good.
