Popular Post Undead Wolf
#211 - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Platinum Trophy Collect all other 50 Trophies for this Trophy So I have a bit of a history with this game (rant incoming!). I bought it at launch for the Xbox 360 and loved it; probably spent like 100-200 hours doing everything the game had to offer. So when I switched over to PS3, I wanted to repurchase a bunch of my favourite games and go for the platinum/100%. I thought games like Fallout 3 and New Vegas still held up very well despite the technical issues. Maybe it's because I've experienced much better RPG's (and games in general) since playing Skyrim for the first time, but when I started to play Skyrim on the PS3, I grew to absolutely despise it. Probably the most boring game I've had the displeasure of playing since making the switch back to PlayStation, not even kidding. I've referred to this game as "babby's first RPG" on this site before and I stand by that. It is severely lacking as an RPG, with one of the most barebones levelling/skills system I've ever seen. It's just "do a thing to get better at a thing" - no strategy or planning involved. You can be the jack of all trades and not have to specialise in anything which strangely enough was actually a selling point for the game I remember. The game also features one of the most dull and unsatisfying combat systems I've ever seen, and that's highlighted even more when going up against the many dragons. Remember how epic it was in games like Dragon's Dogma and Shadow of the Colossus to fight an enemy much larger than yourself? You would be climbing all over it, trying to get some hits in as it attempts to shake you off. Maybe you're clinging on for dear life as its flying high up into the air. In Skyrim, though? Watch the dragon circle you for 5 minutes until it decides to land, at which point you can hack away at its ankles until the thing dies. Alternatively, you can try shouting at it to make it land, but you better not miss or else you'll be waiting for your shout to recharge! The part where you hack at its ankles doesn't change though of course. If the combat and RPG mechanics weren't already bad enough, the game also runs like complete ass on PS3. I'm actually shocked they would release the game in such a state as it's borderline unplayable at times. Play for a while and the game averages out at a smooooth 20fps with constant stutters, so that's nice. Oh, and the loading screens literally take minutes to complete, often times they go on infinitely, forcing you to restart your console. Not only that, but the game crashes ALL THE TIME. And of course, since it's a Bethesda games, you encounter glitches constantly. When I see people say they put in 1000+ hours into the PS3 version of this game, I bet the majority of that was spent rotating models on the loading screens and re-doing parts of the game they lost progress on due to a crash. In summary, I believe this is one of the most overrated games of all time. It's hardly even worthy of the title of "RPG", let alone one of the best ever made as I often see different gaming sites say. Remember, this game came out after Dark Souls, and although they are very different, I still think that game puts Skyrim to shame. I'm pretty confident in saying that out all the games I've got the platinum in on this account, this is the worst one. So glad I finally got all the trophies so I never have to touch this game ever again. Rant over!
Popular Post Alantor32
Platinum #32: MegaMan X Legacy Collection 1. I have a blast with reliving my childhood in MegaMan X Legacy Collection. I did try X-Challenge on Normal and got my ass kicked a lot, so I did it on Easy. Managed to platinumed this game in 4 days and 11 hours. Now I will take on MegaMan X Legacy Collection 2.
Popular Post ERICVOLTAGE
#143. Time to break that hiatus, eh? Surprisingly sweet towards the ending, but for a three episode 'arc', it kinda dragged and felt like a drawn-out student film. Popular Post RedRodriguez87
True Love's Kiss I have to say, another good movie-based game. There's not a whole lot here, but whats here works good. Good graphics, good controls, no glitches. The save feature is generous, the trophy list is super easy (I never played this game before today, and I'm already done). There is alot of charm and humor in the writing and the voice acting; there does feel like time and care was put in in this aspect. All in all, a movie tie-in that probably didn't need to be as decent as it is. So yeah, here's to Shrek 5, I guess.
Popular Post DoctorDrPepper
Platinum #100 I originally bought a vita just for this game back in 2013 and played the hell out of two full playthroughs to not only throughly enjoy what has become one of my favorite games, but also to get that platinum trophy, which at the time would have been my 3rd platinum. But after both playthroughs were done I had not earned the right to be called a Hardcore a Risette Fan. I didn’t feel like a third playthroughs after 120 spent between the last two. So I put it down and forgot about it. It wasn’t until I Hardcore got into trophy hunting last year that I thought about coming back to this, but thought it would be better saved as a milestone platinum. So here we are after another week of grinding, note taking, spreadsheeting, and begging Rise to just tell me Teddie has lowered defense instead of how many enemies were left I have finally completed Persona 4 Golden and entered the triple digits platinum club. Now to #200.

Popular Post Izularia
#236 - Yomawari: Night Alone The Night Alone Earned all other trophies I really enjoyed Yomawari; the mix of cute graphics and survival horror was done very well. Some parts were a bit frustrating and ended up in trial and error, but that never stopped me from having fun with the game. Finding all items would have been a pain without a guide, though. While the game itself only takes around 6 - 10 hours (depending on how well you perform during some scenes), it had a trophy for playing over 50 hours. So for this platinum, you're idling for the most time. I don't know why they decided to add a trophy like that for such a short game, it was a really weird decision on their end. However, it's done and I'm glad to have this plat Still, if you like Japanese games and horror, it's highly recommended.

Popular Post SilentMake1992
Platinum #120: Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception Remastered Platinum Earn all Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception™ Remastered Trophies 20.21% - Uncommon It was good 3rd installment, but i felt it had poor balance with different sections. Almost all puzzles are at start of game and some shooting sections continue multiple chapters so they feel like they drag. Story was good and it used nicely things that was build up in first two games. For me crushing was about same difficulty as it was in first game.
Popular Post BlueC3029
#38 - Friday the 13th Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 3/10 Time to Platinum: 200+ Hours I have one word to describe this game: garbage ? In all honesty, it really wasn't a fun game. I spend about 7 months playing it, since it was always a side game and something I wouldn't play for weeks and weeks at a time. I just couldn't bare to play it at all. But this week I decided to sit 10 hours a day (from Monday to Saturday) and I finally got my platinum. Sure the first 10-15 hours can be some what fun, but then it gets boring and tedious. This is one game I definitely wouldn't recommend for any reason. Glad that it's finally done.
Popular Post TugaSonic
#97 Yakuza 0 (PS4) Where It All Began Obtain all other trophies. This is the third game I played from this series and I got to say that 60FPS do really make a difference. When I played Yakuza 4 and 5 I always felt like the games were a little slow but once I started this I liked it immediately. Although compared to 4 and 5 the platinum was easier it annoyed me a lot more since the minigames are more RNG dependent compared to the other two since we don't have access to cheat items (RNG is a cruel mistress to me). Only noticed when I was redoing the boss battles in Climax that this is basically a Majima game since Kiryu is only there to give more context about the Empty Lot, heck if we remove the final boss he only fights one single boss (Kuze) multiple times while Makima as a lot of boss battles. Still enjoyed it from start to finish and I got to say that while I hated Majima dance style from the start once I figured out that the ground rotating attack was OP against bosses I started to love it made Legend a breeze along with Kiryu's Golden Pistol. #98 Trine 2: Complete Edition (PS4) Trine 2 Hard Earn all Trophies in Trine 2 After almost 3 years I finally got the platinum. Had the game since it was on Plus before I even owned my PS4 so I started playing when I bought the PS4 but since I started buying games that I wanted to play I left the game alone. Since I finished Yakuza decided to finish this platinum and I really enjoyed the game. It can be frustrating finishing the game on hard + hardcore and getting all the EXP bubbles when you're missing a single one in a level but it's a really good game that I recommend anyone to play if you have the time.
Popular Post Guu-chan
#25: Metro: 2033 Enjoyment: 9/10 Ended up loving this game, the story and atmosphere blend really well with the gameplay. #26 and #27 Final Fntasy XIII and XIII-2 (They have the same icon) Enjoyment: 6/10 I remember picking up 13 way back in 2010, my first FF game. Being too young to understand I never got far back then, came back to it in 2015 and screwed up treasure hunter so I rage quit. Now in 2018 I had some free time during the summer, a new PS3 because the old one died. Best way to spend is obviously playing JRPGs. Now I know why the trophy guide on here has XIII listed as 90 hours... turtles, turtles and more turtles. Loved going through the story again, ending is perfect for the story. Then XIII-2 happened where the story sucks, but gameplay is significantly better with a platinum that's actually fun to do. XIII took me about 60 hours and XIII-2 took about 50 hours. Now I need to find a copy of XIII-3 that is at an extortionate price point. Edited July 30, 2018 by Guu-chan
I need more BIOSHOCK
Plat 450 Embers of Mirrim Platinum Collect all the trophies One of the best indie games I've ever played and quite possibly my favourite. Second time I've Platted this beautiful gem and I could happily do it again. Similar to entwined but the difference is you are not limited to the on the rails and you can explore alot. Some of the collectibles are well hidden and in places you'd never think to look. Some sections can be quite challenging manovering but nothing terrible. Difficulty 2 Enjoyment 10 I'd highly recommend this one!
Popular Post minh2t
Platinum #167: Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey Having loved Atelier Sophie, I don't know why it took me so much time to start this one. I found Atelier Firis a lot more enjoyable than Atelier Sophie. The music and the characters were charming although the story wasn't as interesting as Atelier Sophie. The game felt much easier this time, there wasn't any bosses that gave me trouble. There was a deadline in this one but it was very lenient and didn't force players to be efficient of their time use. I have to say the Alchemist exam was really the highlight for me of this game, I was surprised by how well the event was made and the whole journey to get there. Also, pleased to say now I understand some of those meme on r/atelier haha

Popular Post Justin__Harris
Platinum #50: Horizon Zero Dawn (PS4) Game Score: 9/10 Platinum Difficulty: 2/10 I've been totally slacking on Platinum hunting. I think this is the first one I've gotten in the last couple months. Been trying to take it easy and just enjoy games lately instead of focusing on one game, but this is an exception. I've wanted to play this game for awhile, but told myself I wouldn't do so until I got an HDR capable 4K television to take full advantage of its visual prowess, and my gosh, it was worth the wait. Definitely one of the most beautiful games I've played on console (shut up PC master race, we know 4K is old news). My expectations were already set high in the last year with so much critical game and this is certainly worthy of it. I wanted to play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on my Nintendo Switch first, but since Nintendo isn't consumer-friendly company with games that never seem to go down in price even a year later. I paid $20 for the Complete Edition of HZD, while BotW is still its premium $60 plus an additional $20 for the DLC. Not even a Game of the Year Edition is available? Come on, Nintendo! You have no excuse, ya greedy bastards! But anyway, this game would have been well worth full price, plus the DLC cost too. I haven't even started The Frozen Wilds expansion yet and put in 60 hours into this game. I don't really have anything to say about the game that anyone else hasn't already said. It's a fucking blast to play! And the story? Oh my gosh, it's one of the best narratives I've experienced in a game. Guerrilla did a fantastic job. Some minor gripes would be that I felt that a lot of the characters outside of Aloy were sometimes a bit wooden, and one-note. I also feel that while the Decima Engine is beautiful and pretty good, there were some issues with it. The climbing and movements aren't as fluid as games like Uncharted, Tomb Raider, or Middle-earth and the combat sometimes felt slow with the spear to where you'd be annoyed. And naturally because it's a new proprietary engine, there were glitches abound, which I know happens, but it happened enough times to make me scoff in disbelief. I'm curious to see how Death Stranding comes out, as I know it's using Decima as well. But yeah, what a fun experience and I can't praise the game enough. Really glad to have this one as my 50th Platinum.
