It took me nearly 2 years, on and off, to finally get that horrible, moronic, stupid Flappy Goat trophy. Devs can play hide and go fuck themselves for that one. Happy it's over though. Now to just to finish the DLC and I can finally delete the game off my PS4. Edited July 29, 2018 by TheViper4Life
Popular Post Melty
#26 THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS: KNIGHTS OF BRITANNIA The game is nothing special. It's a game for the fans of the series. If you like the series already you'll probably have fun playing with the characters you know and love. If you don't know the series the game is pretty bland. The plat was pretty easy. My enjoyment of the game was high. Melodias, Ban, & Escanor are the best boys. ?

Brawler
Platinum #89: Mission Accomplished (Earth Defense Force 2: Invaders From Planet Space) Glad to finally have this one done. Fun game overall but it wasn't without plenty of connection issues and the occasional bug here and there. It took quite a bit of time and multiple playthroughs however it was good fun in co-op for the most part. If you like the other EDF games this one is definitely worth giving a go, though the completion is quite the grind. Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 5/10 (varies depending on armor you're willing to grind/co-op)
Popular Post DoctorGameGeek
Atelier Totori, after a very, very long hiatus. Glad to put it behind me. Enjoyment: 4 This was my second Atelier game on PS3. The story was decent, but the quest mechanic got repetitive, and it was hard not knowing how to trigger all of the character flags in order to get all the endings. Guides on GameFAQs really helped clear stuff up. Difficulty: 5 There's only one forced boss fight, and if you have forged decent equipment, it's a cake-walk. Most bosses were like this. Okay, maybe not throw one atomic bomb like in Rorona easy, but pretty close. Edited July 30, 2018 by DoctorGameGeek

Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #151: Heavy Rain (July 17th, 2018) Difficulty: 4/10 (Kamikaze trophy took some work) Excitement Rating: 7/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 15+ Hours I purchased this game two years ago as part of the Heavy Rain/Beyond Two Souls bundle that comes together if you buy the UK version. Enjoyable game overall, but leaves much to be desired. Heavy Rain is one of the most QTE heavy games I have ever played. It is an interactive drama, which probably inspired TellTale Games, Until Dawn and others to make their own interactive drama experience. For the time, Heavy Rain looked and ran beautifully. I remember reading about this game on the internet but was only able to play it at a friend's house. Today, eight years later, it simply doesn't hold up quite as well as other Playstation exclusives. There are four characters that you play, each with their own background and style. Basically the goal is to save Shaun, after a visit to the playground leaves him missing. There are numerous chapters and you control one character at a time. Because the game is story heavy, I won't spoil it for those who haven't played it yet. Gameplay is not the traditional God of War/Uncharted formula. Heavy Rain relies almost entirely on quick time events, and at times I found them more annoying than convenient. In certain situations these events can mean the difference between one of the four characters surviving or dying, which will change the outcome of how the game will end. I did not enjoy the trophy list that much. You have to get a Perfect Crime, which requires fulfilling a bunch of objectives so the Origami Killer runs free. I made numerous attempts at this trophy a few months ago only to give up because nothing was working. Thanks to Heavy Rain being on PS Plus, someone finally found out that I had to perform a certain action, which for some reason was making the trophy not pop. Getting All Endings was very tedious, moreso a chore in itself. Other trophies like Kamikaze are entirely QTE, and was the last trophy I needed for the platinum. Heavy Rain is a worthwhile experience if you enjoy interactive dramas. Playing it these days I can't help but feel it has aged quite a bit. It was special because it was an actual story with normal, average characters at a time when video games were still using superhero and badass characters for sales. Today with a bunch of TellTale Games and other titles like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt incorporating their own stories and dramas in a similar fashion as Heavy Rain, it doesn't stand out as much anymore. Since this game is still free, this is a worthwhile platinum to have in your collection. Despite my gripes with Heavy Rain I happily recommend this to people who enjoy a good interactive drama experience.
Popular Post Redgrave
#134: You Are Nioh - Nioh Since Nioh 2 was announced and the Complete Edition got put on sale on PSN I figured it was as good as time as any to finally get this game and play it. Plus it was a nice way to get my Samurai fix But it's my understanding the game was in development for about ten years which makes it all the more better to appreciate how good it wound up being since usually games that are in development that long wind up not being good, but Nioh found a way to keep feeling fresh from beginning to end. Since the main comparison to the game is Dark Souls (in a legitimate way, not in the Crash Bandicoot or Cuphead way) I can say that while there are some similarities, Nioh does feel like it's own thing. By far the biggest differences are there being something of a story that has cutscenes, level/difficulty select, and the Diablo style loot system where you have tons of options to work with in comparison to a Souls game. It's still a great game that despite the similarities it really does feel like it's its own thing. The only main issues I can really say about it is the enemy variety kind of drops after the first couple of regions. The Diablo-style loot system can also be a bit overwhelming to deal with since you get so many items and it's hard sorting through them all and trying to find a build to really work with. Along with that, Team Ninja from my understanding went through updating the game a lot by rebalancing a lot of the gear to where a lot of people couldn't really keep up and give proper tips on builds and whatnot. So it makes trying to make a build that you can get comfortable with a bit difficult but nothing really too out there. I hope that when Nioh 2 comes around they improve upon these things, but I definitely still enjoyed this one even if a couple of the bosses are annoying to deal with (looking at you Umi-Bozu ). I say it's worth a purchase especially if you like Soulsborne and/or something akin to Diablo.
Popular Post OobiGod
Platinum #5 Ratchet & Clank 2: Going Commando He Went Commando Obtain all Ratchet & Clank 2: Going Commando trophies Literally the same plat image as the first game. Gotta love laziness. This is way better than the original game in quality. Story is a little weaker but the gameplay has been incredibly refined. Strafing was a much needed addition and should've been in the first game. I'm a fan of the rpg elements they introduced like how weapons upgrade and how you level up by beating enemies. I prefer the arsenal of 2 over 1 as well. Only real problem is that early game weapons don't really scale well to late game until challenge mode. Fav weapons are heavy bouncer, tetrabomb gun, tesla charger and the black sheepinator (which along with tesla charger can practically solo the impossible challenge at joba lmao.) Next plat is ratchet and clank UYA. Then there will be some kind of bliss... tools of destruction is trophyless! However that will not stop me from getting all the skill points. I'll play deadlocked eventually. I literally bought all the r&c main games I could play (don't own a ps4). Only ones missing are the psp ones, deadlocked, QFB, and FFA. And going mobile I guess lmao. Also didn't really love having to play the game twice to get all the weapons but I got used to it. I heard it becomes common in later games.

Popular Post DarkSoleride
Platinum: True Grymoirian Time Taken: 149hrs 39min Difficulty: 3/10 Date Achieved: 29/07/18 This is a game i have been playing sort of on and off since last year October when i roughly started it on my PS Vita. With the slew of Final Fantasy games using more action-based battle systems like FFXII, XIII and XV i picked this one up as i read the system was like the traditional ATB system. The game itself for a Final Fantasy game is fantastic i really loved the characters Lyann and Ryane (i think thats how you spell it) their bond and how the story unfolds with their link to this realm of the FF universe is pretty cool. Almost similar to the start of Kingdom Hearts being warped into this totally different world. The infamous FF mini-games is what brought on my frustration and the Treasure Liberator trophy which is why i kept taking a break. The mini-games on the PS Vita are fine up until you get to doing the "Blizball Ace" trophy and the "Fast And the Nebulous" these two trophies along with trading fro Mauldin i used the PS4 version for as i found those mini-games much easier with the Dualshock 4 pad. This experience i would high-recommend to newcomers to the series and hardcore fans as in my own opinion i think its a fantastic entry i am a bit bummed that its sort of sequel was a mobile game. Without the PS Vita version of this game like with FFX i feel i would not have been able to get the platinum as the PS Vita version really helps cut down the grind. Also thanks to the player on here that helped me with Mauldin!
Popular Post Aeir_
#50 Dying Light Finally reached 50 platinums! I enjoyed Dying Light a lot. Fun gameplay/combat and the parkour aspect was an interesting take on a zombie game (I loved running over them). My only gripe is that some of the climbing areas were finicky, often leading to me falling to my death! The story was intriguing, but I found myself more engaged with the Following DLC, which had a much better ending (and a vehicle!!!). Also, more games should include optional coop throughout the whole campaign.
Popular Post Phantom2654
Platinum 43 - Beyond: Two Souls Difficulty 2/10 Enjoyment 9/10 Many improvements from Heavy Rain such as voice acting, story and choice variations. Overall it's a must play if you enjoy story driven games. The only negative is that you have to play the final chapter a few times to get all the endings.
Popular Post Donkrieg1011
Plat #108: The Last Guardian Team Ico really knows how to make a trophy list as tedious as possible. This is a platinum that just has so many boring things to fill out: kill trophies, collectibles. Furthermore, it requires you to play the game in the slowest and fastest way possible. At least in Ico a speedrun was tolerable because you're in control most of the time. Here you just have to rely on the randomness of Trico's AI. Even though I was used to how Trico works, he still acted like a complete idiot at times and cost me a few minutes to get him to do what I want. Overall it's a decent game but I recommend a blind playthrough before going for the trophies. It's a beautiful game no doubt but trying to get the trophies on the first playthrough is going to be very frustrating.

Popular Post TwilightSpira
PLATINUM 188 - DARK CLOUD Date of Achievement : July 24 , 2018 Enjoyment : 9,0 Difficult : 4,0Hardest Trophy : Let's go home Dark Cloud is action RPG game developed by Level 5 and originally released for the PS2 18 years ago, the game was also the first game developed by studio. Dark Cloud tells the story of a group of adventurers who band together to fight against the evil Dark Genie, a evil entity whom was released after a ominous ceremony is performed. The game centers around Toan, a boy who is given a magical stone called the "Atlamillia" by Simba, the Fairy King, which has the power to rebuild the destroyed lands. Dark Cloud is half dungeon crawling and half city building, allowing the player the freedom to rebuild the lost cities as they see fit. Dark Cloud was and still is one heck of game, LEVEL 5 really managed to set some standards here, for being their first game, Dark Cloud not only allowed then to grow as a studio but it also gave then future references that are still being used today. The only sad thing however is that we never got to see a third game in the series, Dark Cloud 2 was a majestic step up and even after 16 years there's still no sign of a sequel, here hoping we'll someday witness the return of this amazing series that paved the foundation of the excellent LEVEL 5 studio.

Popular Post zizimonster
#49 Until Dawn Supermassive Games' Until Dawn is inherently a much better title than the tedious Quantic Dream's Beyond: Two Souls. This game focuses more on exploration, not some QTEs galore and lenghty cutscenes. Further, the branching narrative is one that makes this game shine. Characters are also varied. Some being more annoying than others, while the rest are more courageous. The worst part of the game, however, is the motion control. I always had to put my DualShock4 on a flat surface, otherwise it wouldn't register as I guess my hands weren't steady enough. Now, for my semicentennial platinum trophy, I'd better play some masterpiece of the year: you-know-what.
Popular Post cr1s
#371 - Strike Vector EX Ace of Aces Unlock all Trophies. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 Ugh, this game is such a mixed bag. I expected more out of it but damn, it sure has a few noticeable shortcomings.First of all, it's way too short. Like seriously, the story is only 3 hours long. That's nowhere near enough time for the plot and the characters to shine, which is a pity because it had a good premise. It feels like a lazy/rushed job, as if it were something that the developers decided to include at the last moment. Such a game deserves to be expanded into a fully-fledged game, especially since we barely get these kinda games. But it looks like the developers decided it would be a better idea to break it down into two (or more) parts, if the ending is anything to go by. Also, that voice acting... Just no. So awkward.Second of all, that soundtrack... The same track that repeats over and over and over again in multiplayer and there's barely any difference in single player. How hard would it have been to make a proper soundtrack for this game? Come on, at least make a few more tracks...Third of all, the A.I. isn't particularly smart. The entire game must've been set to easy difficulty, because that's what it felt like. I usually wouldn't complain about it, but the A.I.'s behavioral pattern is blatantly inconsistent in multiplayer. Some of the weird things I've noticed: Enemy A.I. only attacking you in Capture The Flag if you attack them first or if one of them has the flag. "Alan" dropping a Stalker Mine that ends up killing one of his teammates 90% of the time. And he just had to end up in my team every time. It didn't really matter to me since I rarely ran into them, but it's still weird. Enemy A.I. standing still near the Central Zone in King of the Hill even when you shoot at them, making them easy targets. It would've been more fun playing against human players, but surprise surprise, the multiplayer is dead. I only ran into a single person while playing, and I'm pretty sure they only booted up the game because they were bored and didn't have anything else to play. Thankfully, it's not all bad. There are some good features in this game. For one, the flying controls are well done and don't feel convoluted. Flying around is fun and something you'll get used to very quickly. There's a nice assortment of weapons and abilities to complement that, so you can customize your ship to better suit the situation at hand. There's also a lot of other customizable stuff (avatars, decals, etc.), which is neat for those who are into that. The maps are quite big and, while a couple of them are bland, most of them are well designed. You can switch between third-person and first-person view on the fly, both of which are well made and serve their purpose. The graphics are cool and the gameplay just feels smooth overall. For a game made by a studio called "Ragequit Corporation", the platinum is easy. As I've previously mentioned, the game feels like it's on easy difficulty, and this also applies to every aspect of the trophy list. Getting the platinum is comprised of 3 stages: Finishing the story and getting the 2 mission-related trophies. One of the latter requires you to finish a race within 47 seconds, which is made easy by switching to first-person view. Getting the multiplayer trophies. Nothing hard here since you can play against bots that can be easily outsmarted, although a couple of multiplayer trophies require a small bit of luck. Getting a gold medal on each challenge. This game features a total of 30 challenges, most of which are extremely short. One thing that might make them seem daunting is looking at the leaderboards, as that will probably make you think that you'll have to complete them as fast as possible, but when you can shoot additional targets and gain a bunch of extra points for no effort in order to compensate for lost time and still get a gold medal this way, this makes time less relevant. So yeah, I think this game has a nice concept, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Edited July 30, 2018 by cr1s
Popular Post KawaiiSlowpoke
#2 - Claire (PS VITA) Completionist acquire all the trophies difficulty: 2/10 enjoyment: 6/10 Honestly this game was short and easy to platinum but I gave it a 2/10 difficulty instead of 1/10 because i had to update my game since the trophies were bugged before lol So I had to do a little more backtracking than I wanted to. Otherwise, the game was an easy and chill game to plat. Overall, the game is probably a 6/10 in terms of actual enjoyment and quality of the game. The 2D graphics were really nice but some parts of the game were still kinda buggy and glitchy and the characters are bland and generic. I didnt really care what Claire did or what happened to her I was just following the guide for the trophies. The game did do a good job of a creepy and scary atmosphere though and did spook me a couple times. I would say its definitely a good pick up for a short and sweet game to run through! (mainly picked this up to break up the grind in Persona 4 lool)
Desmuria
#89 - Ether One Validation Excellent Work Restorer. Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Ether One is a walking simulator / puzzle adventure game. Similar to old 90's games like Myst/Riven, etc. You play the role of a Restorer, who has been tasked to remove the dementia from the mind of a lady called Jean. You enter a town called Pinwheel and you have to unravel her memories by solving puzzles, locating collectables and generally mooching around. Some of the puzzles glitched for me, so it was extremely frustrating to play. I soldiered through it and eventually found a work-around. I saw on the roadmap that you have to save often, so I religiously saved after everything I did. The game didn't crash for me, but I prefer to be safe than sorry. It's not a hard game (if you don't count the glitching puzzles). The collectables are easy to obtain. There's only one missable trophy too. If you like games like Myst and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, then pick this game up in a sale. Edited July 30, 2018 by Desmuria
