Popular Post ughrora
#57 - Catlateral Damage Pawlatinum! Unlock all other trophies I had started this in late January, but had stopped playing due to moving onto other games. Found out today that there was a way to get the mice to pop up, so I decided to go back and finish this up! I really enjoyed playing this. It's a cute, relaxing game. I may even go back and collect the rest of the images.

Popular Post Karl-Kai
Complete! Done and dusted! As an impulse buy from a bargain sale, this game sat aside for ages, and when I eventually booted it up, I ended up clearing it relatively quickly. At first I wasn't that invested in the story or the characters, but kept playing because the dungeon crawling was fun. The way how you strengthened your characters by collecting and deploying resources instead of earning experience points was nice, and the fact that you didn't need to amass money in order to get and upgrade your accessories made things neat and simple. The rhythm game like SBM super attack was fun though frankly quite overpowered. So, gradually I came to care more about the story and the characters, and funnily enough found the last dungeon's gimmicks a little bit annoying; my pet-peeve gimmick was the one that took the map away from you, leaving you to navigate on your own devices. The last boss went down really effortlessly, which was a surprise. Then again, I had leveled up to somewhere around LV 40 while stumbling around the dungeons, so I guess that was to be expected to some extent... So, in a nutshell, gameplaywise Ray Gigant is entertaining, but I personally didn't like the ending because Spoiler they killed my favourite character, which left a bad taste in my mouth. Regardless, if you like JRPGs and bump into Ray Gigant when its price is reduced, I think it's totally worth a shot.

Popular Post ThatMuttGuy
Dark Void Dark Void 100% Complete Fun - 5.5/10 Difficulty - 6/10 Dark Void is an older PS3 title. It really seemed like it was trying to mash together Uncharted, Star Fox, and Mass Effect. I enjoyed a lot of the concepts that the game had, but in practice, it was just mediocre. The worst part was completing the "Defending the Ark" chapter on Hardcore. I'm so glad most games don't have escort missions anymore.

Popular Post Meachamp-
God of War: Chains of Olympus #26 | Time to Platinum: 10 hours | Difficulty: 3/10 | Enjoyment: 8/10 | The prequel to God of War. You can definitely tell it is a port of the handheld version. The game just had that kind of feel to it and if you've ever played on one before (I'm sure the majority of us here have.) It's a very basic game really, areas are pretty small, full of enemies and new weapons and tricks that can help you slam through yet another angry adventure of Kratos. This time as mentioned, before the first game AFTER Ascension but before the original. Kratos is doing the bidding for the gods. Spoiler Overview At the start you're basically sent by the guards to defend the city of Attica from the invading Persian forces. After completing his task Kratos then witnesses (believe it or not) the Sun fall from the sky. So the world has been plunged into darkness by the black fog of the God Morpheus. So Athena tasks Kratos with finding Helios and restoring order because the other Gods have fallen into a deep slumber because there is no light. That's all you're getting. The rest unfolds and unfolds but that's basically the best brief overview I can give. Gameplay The game came out AFTER God of War 2 so think of the gameplay as just the same as that and maybe even fine tuned a little bit. Basically the same move sets with the blades besides the developers love to test out the + with different techniques and it was really nice in this one to be fair. It's a lot smaller than the previous games as it was built for a handheld and this is just a port of that game. So nothing to extravagant in terms of explorations to get your collectibles and red orbs etc. There isn't much to say as it's pretty much like all the other ones up to this point. Characters Kratos is only the one worth mentioning as the rest are just in the game for a few scenes, it's hard to explain characters on games like this cause there really isn't many besides Kratos and everyone just knows he's angry all the time so there's that. There is a surprise appearance though in the Elysium fileds (YOU DID CLICK THE SPOILER) (It's his daughter) With that appearance it drastically changes Kratos attitude and gives him a choice which makes him hate gods and the like all that more in my opinion. She doesn't really have much of a scene though, she just holds on to her dad and sobs. Trophies Simple enough really, you play through the game and you get the majority. Few missables which are really simple to do really. Persian Harem near the start of the game after killing the first boss. Slit 50 Satyr throats, on the boat after killing the boss, Kill 5 of them and let the last one kill you so the checkpoint starts again and they keep tally. Hitting a Ballista bolt into one of the houses before firing it at a boss. Don't push your daughter away for a minute. Break out of a stone effect from the Meduse enemies 5 times. The rest are just misc and story really. There's a get 1000 hit combo which is super easy to get on the Basilisk hand. Collectibles as well, your typical Gorgon eyes and Phoenix feathers, that and upgrading all magic and weapons (should come natural really) I literally had about 50k in red orbs spare before I got my last magic to upgrade that and there's more than enough places to get the collectibles. The only really challenging thing on this though is the game has to be played on Hard mode and then there was the challenges but they're nothing special either so it's a pretty simple platinum really. Conclussion It's not 100% necessary to understand the rest of the games but it's a good game that fleshes out Kratos a little more and what he went through in them ten years serving the gods. It's just more of a timeline flesh game really but it's still a good game none the less. If you manage to get the collection it would be a good one to start. Should be super cheap by now, you get this game and Ghost of Sparta with it or you can buy them separately on the store.

Popular Post Zach
#97 and 100% Bloodborne Enjoyment: 9.5/10 Difficulty: 7/10 Time: 40-50hrs (Including dlc) My god, Bloodborne is something amazing. The boss fights were epic and difficult as hell. What I love about this game compared to the Souls games, is that this game was a lot creepier (I know, how?). For the most part, I found this game easier than Dark Souls III because I didn't use a shield in DS3. I'm a roll and dodge kind of guy. Although, Bloodborne did have its difficult moments. For example: Martyr Logarius optional boss and the Cursed Chalice Dungeon boss fights. I know it's all opinion, but those were my most difficult parts. The final DLC boss was hard but I was high level then so I managed to get him done without too much difficulty. Final verdict: PLAY THIS GAME IF YOU HAVEN'T. It's pretty badass and the occasional difficulty in gaming is healthy and you should face it!!! Edited November 18, 2018 by Zach

Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #153: Ratchet: Deadlocked (July 31st, 2018) Difficulty: 3/10 Excitement: 8/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 15 Hours This game was completely off my radar until I discovered it a little under two years ago. I've known the PS2 Ratchet and Clank trilogy for over a decade. It's a shining example of what a kid friendly 3-D platformer should be. Though I wouldn't say it's so much a platformer like Jak and Daxter or Sly Cooper as it is an adventure game, since I feel Ratchet has the least amount of platforming out of the three series. But Ratchet: Deadlocked was enjoyable to play like the previous three games. Ratchet: Deadlocked is a PS2 game ported over to PS3. It is digital only, there is no physical copy of the game available. Ratchet and company are found and thrown into Dreadzone, a lethal gladiator tournament which puts the best and brightest galaxy heroes in a battle to the death. That's basically the entire story, but it's mostly barebones. Deadlocked plays very much the same as the trilogy. The key difference here is Clank is not with you, he is behind the scenes helping to take down Dreadzone. As with other Ratchet and Clank games, there are various planets, tournaments and bases for you to explore. Each area has a number of objectives you can finish that earn you skill points. Skill points make up the bulk of the trophy list, and there are 165 skill points in total. The gameplay is pretty standard for a Ratchet and Clank game. Like the others there is Challenge Mode for you to play, which is basically their way of saying New Game Plus. Anyone familiar with Ratchet and Clank games knows that Challenge Mode is where you get a Bolt Multiplier, and more powerful weapons since the enemies are stronger in New Game Plus. Everything else is self explanatory. This game marks the 7th game I completed in the series. I only have All 4 One and Full Frontal Assault left to play, but if they're like Deadlocked and any of the other games then they shouldn't be too difficult. Ratchet and Clank games have always had a fair balance. Nothing too easy, nothing too difficult. If you played the other games and enjoyed them, then I definitely recommend Deadlocked. It's an easy platinum, and an enjoyable experience.
Popular Post Dead Weight
#192 Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle Definitely one of the easiest Fighting game plats out there. i know barely anything about Blazblue or UNIEL lore ( Blazblue lore seems interesting and crazy), it's Persona and RWBY that dragged me in. I really like the presentation of the game and its gameplay is not bad. The business practices regarding the dlc is another story. BUT THE MEMES THOUGH.

Popular Post Bullstomp
Guardians of the Galaxy Difficulty: 1 Fun Factor: 8 This was one of my favorite TTG experiences. Rocket and Groot in particular were awesome but all characters had their moments. Difficulty: 4/10 Fun: 7/10 Another AC from my checklist and this one was really fun. After reading that they patched the hell out of this game and it's finally playable I can indeed tell that I didnt have any bugs or whatsoever. Sad is the FPS drops are crazy on this game which kills the flow sometimes but nonetheless real fun game. DLC was a bit overkill but 100% again
Popular Post cr1s
#372 - Bravo Team Collector Get all trophies Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 My first PSVR platinum and it was decent enough. The game is a tactical cover-based FPS in which you play as one of two members of the eponymous Bravo Team. The other member is controlled by the A.I., a local friend, or an online friend. I played with the A.I. partner 90% of the time. It's alright overall, good at reviving you without getting killed but mostly useless at killing enemies on its own.The story is very mediocre. You're on an escort mission that goes FUBAR due to an attempted coup - the escortee being the President of a fictional Eastern European country, who also becomes the victim of an assassination attempt. Or at least that's how the story goes until the ending reveals otherwise, and you can probably guess what that plot twist is. Nothing substantial happens and you just end up not giving a damn about any of it. There are 3 endings, but 2 of them are almost the same, the only difference being a certain action that you do (or not). The game's length doesn't impact the story - if anything, I don't think the story would've been any better if the game were longer. And speaking of game length, the game consists of 6 chapters (excluding the Prologue that's a 3-minute cutscene) that range from 15 minutes to 30 minutes each. So yeah, it's a very short game with an underdeveloped story. The gameplay is equally basic, but fun while it lasts. You go through each area by moving from cover to cover. There are 5 types of enemies in the entire game: Assault Gunners, Shotgunners, Machine Gunners, Snipers, and Special Forces. Enemies keep spawning in each section of each area until you reach a certain point. The only way to go through the areas is by being aggressive yet careful as enemies can and will flank you, although I played the game on the easiest difficulty and such a strategy might prove problematic on higher difficulties. Still though, I don't see how it can be tackled in any other way since the enemies keep spawning, so you gotta make a push eventually in order to stop them from spawning and reach the next section/area. If playing on the easiest difficulty, you can go through a few areas quickly by being stealthy until a certain point and then rushing to the exit.As a VR game, it's quite immersive. The graphics and textures aren't so great, but it really feels like you're part of the action with how close everything seems, especially with it being a shooter. I played it with the DualShock 4 and it felt good enough. I imagine it'd feel a bit better with the Aim Controller, but there's no way I'm gonna get one just for a few VR games. The developers mention that you can "experience every explosion", but there were only 2 of them in the entire game, and you don't even get to "experience" them due to either the clichéd "white screen before the explosion" or your view being obstructed. >_>The platinum isn't hard; in fact, you can play the game on the easiest difficulty and still get the platinum. The hardest trophy is the one for not dying throughout the entire game, but you don't have to do it in one go and can replay individual chapters if need be. Rooftops was the hardest chapter due to it being one of the longest and having enemy Snipers, but it still didn't take more than a few tries. You can issue commands to your A.I. partner, but the only one you'll need is "Follow" just in case it decides to linger around far away from you. Final Verdict: An alright game with a dull story and some fun gameplay. I'm glad there was a sale on it as I don't think it's worth getting at its full price.
