Janire1911
Burly Men At Sea Ye've Done It (#35) Quick and easy platinum, though sadly not much of a game. At least it had a charming visual style and a nice soundtrack.
Durandal
So I got my second Trine Platinum Trophy now! And it was by far the hardest one by all standards. It is actually my first ultra rare platinum, plus eleven other ultra rare ones from this game. I think this shows why it is anything but easy. The reason for this is mostly the "Walk in the Park" Trophy. Where you have to complete all 20 levels on the hardest difficulty level and on top of it the hardcore mode has to be enabled too. Which means you can't save in a level, healing is reduced significantly and you can only heal and resurrect once per checkpoint. Of course there are some really tough challenges in most of the levels, your occasional boss fight where one hit means certain death and a really deadly environment, think huge flesh eating plants and plants that shoot deadly projectiles and so on. Each level has also a fair share of enemies to deal with. Luckily most levels aren't that long but still it is very frustrating to manage to reach the end of a level by the skin of your teeth just to have your three heroes smashed to pieces by some unfriendly ogre. Lovingly mocking trophy name by the way, don't you think? Hell of fun nevertheless! I mean once you finish that really tough level. Almost as good as, well fill in some nice cozy thing you can think of. So you can imagine me having a huge smile on my face when I saw that platinum notification popping up! There are of course a few other challenging trophies like finishing a level without taking any damage, which is harder than you might think. Or completing a level with only one of the three characters. And there are some really funny ones too, which usually means you have to use one of the character skills to do various things. Like freezing two enemies and stack them on top of each other. All in all the trophy hunt can be really fun and a bit frustrating but it is all worth it in the end. Oh right, what is Trine 2 you might ask. It is really not easy to describe. First and foremost it is a side-scrolling platformer with a trio of heroes. Each of them has a set of unique abilities which are needed to overcome all the challenges in the game. Like fighting enemies or reaching seemingly unreachable places. Every level has traps and other challenging passages which can be overcome by various means, most of them are actually physic based. It is the heart of the game actually and you can be really creative in doing this. All this comes with absolutely gorgeous visuals and a great soundtrack. And a much better story then first one. It is still the same old heroes-save-the-world fairy tale but this time you are getting much more details about the motives behind all this. It is a fantastic game, and one of my all time favourite games. I've played it four times now! Anyway, if you are really interested I have recorded the entire journey of my Walk in the Park playthrough and made a little playlist. Check it out in the Spoiler section if you like. You can access each level via a pop-down menu at the upper left corner of the video frame. Be aware that this is the complete story, only things that are missing are all the collectables. So there are many spoilers in those videos. And this is probably not the most efficient way of playing the game but there were no guides involved. Just me playing these level over and over again until I completed one. Of course I did NOT record any of my failures! thanks for reading! Popular Post Conor
#2- KINGDOM HEARTS FINAL MIX (PS3) KINGDOM HEARTS Master Enjoyment: 9/10 (single playthrough) / 7/10 (Platinum) Difficulty: 6/10 Time Taken: 3 Weeks, 1 Day, 23 Hours Rarity: 1.4% Ultra Rare (PSN) / 6.51% Very Rare (PSN Profiles) Hardest Trophy: Gummi Ship Collector (Bronze Trophy) I've been a huge fan of Kingdom Hearts since the PS2 days. Even if the plot went off the deep end a while ago, the original adventure is still a classic, albeit one that is showing its age a bit, even when gorgeously remastered at 1080p here. Even though the camera was thankfully remapped to the right stick, some glaring design flaws remain. Sora's auto-lock in battle is questionable- too many times did he lock onto an enemy and stay locked on even if the enemy flew 50 feet away, leaving me slashing at air. Other times, I would mean to go for an enemy only for Sora to suddenly change to another target. And worst of all, Sora would often lock onto an environmental object just as I'm about to unleash a combo, wasting precious MP. Also, the AI for Donald and Goofy is atrocious. Overall, the combat also feels a bit slow and clunky compared to later outings. With all that said, I love this remaster, makes the game look just as good as I remember it. Charming story and characters make it an unforgettable experience. It was an utter joy to play through this again the first time around, even if the grinding for synthesis materials was a bit annoying. Thankfully, RNGesus was on my side and I was quite lucky with the rare item drops. The game does feature quite a few difficulty spikes, and these are most apparent in Proud difficulty. It was a good thing that by that point I had the game mechanics down. It was pretty annoying to have to beat the game three times over in order to get the plat since difficulties don't stack in this version. The worst part of all were the Gummi Ship missions. Already my least-favourite part of the game, some of these tasks were downright cheap. And your reward for completing them? Nothing, although you have to do them all to earn special Gummi blueprints which contribute to the Gummi Ship Collector trophy, which is insultingly only a bronze! I'd the give the run a 4/10 in terms of difficulty if it weren't for those damned missions! My goal is to achieve all unique Kingdom Hearts platinums before Kingdom Hearts III drops at the end of January. Will I succeed? Possibly not, but rest assured I'm going to have a pretty good time along the way. Edited August 29, 2018 by LepreCon1991
Popular Post cr1s
#375 (and Trophy #16,000) - Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (EU) Harmony's Last Reward Acquire all trophies. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Note: The below spoiler has actual spoilers (whereas the rest don't). I rarely delve into spoiler territory in my reviews, but I just had to with this game. Spoiler Rise and shine, ursine! It's time for another Danganronpa game! With the Hope's Peak Academy saga that encompasses the previous 3 games being over with the Danganronpa 3 anime, it's time for a new story featuring a new cast. The third main entry in the series (or is it?), this game takes place in the Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles and features the return of everyone's favorite bear Monokuma, along with some newcomers: The Monokubs... Yep, Monokuma has cute little cubs now! I love the interaction between Monokuma and his Monokubs and among the Monokubs themselves, it's entertaining and just priceless at times. That funky Monokubs theme song and the sound effects that accompany them also give me a good chuckle every time they come up. As with the other main Danganronpa games, the story got me hooked from the very beginning, mixing suspense with horror with humor in the typical Danganronpa fashion. They've definitely upped the ante when it comes to it, delivering a lot of memorable twists and turns, more so than the previous games did. It also culminates in one of, if not the most unorthodox ending I've ever witnessed. Never before has an ending left me so perplexed and emotionally conflicted and, even though I finished the story 3 months ago, it still has the same impact when I think about it now. I commend the developers for having the balls to do what very few developers would ever do to a series of theirs in such a way. Some people will see it as a cop out ending that ruins the entire series, while others will embrace it as a genius concept - and some people will definitely have mixed feelings regarding it. Love it or hate it (or both), one thing's for sure... That ending will take you by surprise. I'd be very curious to see how future main Danganronpa games (if any) could be approached after this ending and whether the developers would even follow the same continuity when it comes to the story. There's one twist I can think of, but who knows what the developers could come up with after such an ending? More despair, obviously. *insert upupu* But before that, there's one question that remains to be answered: is this the end or a new beginning? I guess time will tell... The cast that is featured has a lot of intriguing personalities. My favorite character would have to be Kokichi Oma as he reminds me a lot of Junko Enoshima and Nagito Komaeda. My least favorite one would have to be Rantaro Amami due to the "mystery" surrounding him and him being an uninteresting character in my eyes. I still like the Danganronpa 2 cast the most, but the V3 cast is still pretty good overall. The gameplay retains the traditional Danganronpa elements we've come to know and love while adding some new things, like Mass Panic Debates and Debate Scrums during Class Trials, which make them even more intense and engaging than ever before. There's nothing like witnessing characters simultaneously shouting at each other all while trying to confuse you. You can now also lie in order to refute inconsistent statements. There are also a couple of new Class Trial minigames, but they aren't really interesting and not worth mentioning otherwise. There's also a lot more side content than any of the previous games, but I'll cover that in a bit. The soundtrack is a step-up from the previous games, if merely for the fact that most of it isn't recycled. There are some amazing "soundscapes" (as I like to call such brilliant compositions) in there, which I'll list below (no actual spoilers). Spoiler My favorite track is "Darkness Time", which is played during Night Time. This track pretty much screams "SOMETHING BAD'S GONNA HAPPEN!". It's so hauntingly beautiful and sounds and feels like it's the embodiment of despair. It still gives me the chills every time I listen to it, although its effect is definitely amplified while playing the game. Spoiler The main investigation theme is another brilliant track. I love this track as a whole, especially the jazzy sound. Spoiler I like to call this one "Korekiyo's Theme". I think it really suits him anyway. I can imagine him going all "kukukuku" to this track. Spoiler These 2 tracks are sure to give Monokid a hard-on. I like the guitar work in them and they come up during some of my favorite parts in the game. Spoiler There are other tracks I like as well like the other debate ones and whatnot, but these stand out the most to me. Let's talk a bit about the trophies now. Danganronpa V3 is the hardest (though not by much) and grindiest (by far) platinum of the series. It can take as much time to platinum as the previous 3 games combined, depending on how you tackle it. Here's a quick breakdown of what you're required to do in addition to the main story: Love Across The Universe: Think of it as School / Island Mode without the resource gathering and management stuff. You basically just spend time with all the characters in a light-hearted manner and, as with the previous games, it's a nice change from the mostly dark and gritty mood of the main story, especially with all the character interaction there is to see. Casino: There are 3 casino minigames in the game and you'll need to get an S rank on each of them. One of them is RNG-based and might take you hours to get, while the other 2 are skill-based and aren't too bad. Ultimate Talent Development Plan / Despair Dungeon: Monokuma's Test: These 2 minigames go hand in hand, although each one has its own grindy set of trophies. UTDP is like a board minigame where you build the characters that you'll use in Despair Dungeon, a dungeon-crawling RPG that consists of 100 floors that you have to go through - each 10th floor features a boss fight, and the 100th floor features a hidden boss as well (you can probably guess who it is ). There's a lot of back and forth between the 2 minigames as you'll frequently need to adjust your party (by playing UTDP) according to what lies ahead (in Despair Dungeon). Despair Dungeon looks more daunting than it actually is, but it's not too bad and actually quite fun once I got into it and got the basics down. It's very reminiscent of Pokémon, just without the "gotta catch 'em all" part. More like "gotta beat 'em all." UTDP, much like LATU, has a lot of character interaction as well, so whenever you play as a certain character that you love (speaking of which, you can play as all the characters from all 3 main games in UTDP!), make sure you take the time to read the dialogue! Final Verdict: A great cast and memorable story featuring one hell of an ending, a lot of entertaining side content, and a chilling soundtrack make Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony the best installment in the series in my opinion. This game is simply stellar and now joins 999 and Steins;Gate as my favorite VNs of all time. Highly, highly recommended if you're a fan of the series and haven't played this one yet. Just don't blame me if you end up entirely hating the ending. One last thing... Damn you for disabling in-game screenshots after Chapter 1, NIS! One thing I loved to do in the previous games was to capture some of my favorite moments (I really gotta post those in the Vita screenshot thread ), but the fact that it wasn't possible 90% of the time here really bothered me. Yeah yeah, I know I could've just taken my phone or whatever and captured everything, but I love to do that with my Vita, okay? NIS shouldn't have done that in the first place anyway. What a dumb move that was, and for a dumb reason no less ("preventing spoilers"? They're gonna surface everywhere regardless of what you do!). >_> This also meant no in-game platinum screenshot since I also love to do that with the Vita games I play. BUT... I did take this (with my phone, obviously - no actual spoilers): Spoiler Close enough, I guess... And that sentence just happens to perfectly describe my high school years as well... except that I'd replace friends with "friends" and add /s at the end... Popular Post Redgrave
#136: Dead Rising 2: Off the Record Trophy Master - Dead Rising 2: Off the Record As mentioned above it is pretty much the same game as Dead Rising 2 with some differences. Namely how they added a couple extra psychopaths along with a new area and a sandbox mode and the story being slightly different. Spoiler Them having Chuck as a psychopath because of the loss of his daughter was a really cool idea. And there's a clown boss that's the brother of the clown from the first game. They didn't have to add that in but I love that they did Overall it is pretty much the same game with not much else to be said. It's a good game if you like Dead Rising, though it's a shame it crashes as much as it does. At least it didn't have all the bizarre glitches Dead Rising 2 on PS4 had. And once again thanks to @Undead Wolf for playing with me and making the game more fun
Omelette Paradise
#225 ROCKETSROCKETSROCKETS I picked this up for a decent price in the PSN summer sale and I had fun with it. Ideally you need 4 controllers to get the platinum or 3 controllers and a PS Vita hooked up via Remote Play. Personally I own two controllers and a Vita so I had to include an AI opponent for the 4 player trophies which did mean that it took me a little bit longer. Missile Barrage Deflector and Bomb Deflector are very fiddly if you're playing the game on your own like I did. If possible get somebody (an actual person!) to help out with the second controller to save yourself from frustration.

Popular Post I need more BIOSHOCK
464 Warhammer 40.000 Space Marine That was one hell of a journey! The toughest part without doubt is the dlc if you are going for the 100%. The last trophy I got was the 40,000 kill one, by the time I'd done all the mp trophies and many waves of dlc along with the 2 full playthroughs I was nowhere even near the halfway mark. There is a great light at the end of the tunnel though Thanks to one amazing discovery which I'll add to the game forum there is a way to grind kills by just leaving the game idle! This was the way I was able to get the plat. Difficulty 5 (DLC 8) Enjoyment 9 Edited August 30, 2018 by I need more BIOSHOCK

Popular Post Desmuria
#100 - Assassin's Creed Origins Earn Them All! Earn every trophy. Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 3/10 I started playing this in December of last year, but I fell in love with Horizon Zero Dawn and left it on the back burner. I wanted my 100th platinum to be special, so I chose to pick this game back up after so long and was it worth it? Yes and no. I love Assassin's Creed games and I love Ancient Egypt and mythology, so this game is perfect for me. Overall, the game is great and there is SO MUCH to do. I absolutely love Bayek as a character too, although Ezio will always be my #1. I really fell out of love with the game towards the end. The grind to complete all locations was awful and finding enough Silica for the Sphinx was a pain. It has its pros and cons. I just hope that Odyssey is even better. Eagerly anticipating its release in October. After that epic three day grind, I need to go sit in a dark room and contemplate my life. #101 - Ken Follett's The Pillars of the Earth Platinum Chalice You unlocked all other trophies. Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Firstly, I should mention that I haven't yet read The Pillars of the Earth, so I went into this game completely blind. I picked it up in the sale because I really enjoy point-and-click adventure games. I was pleasantly surprised by the story and how the main characters are portrayed. You only need to play Book One to get the platinum, but you get all three books when you purchase the game. The only thing that's slightly disappointing is that the other two books only have two trophies each to obtain. I'll be going for the 100% over the upcoming weekend and most definitely picking up the books to read when I get the chance! Popular Post vampiresarego
#54 - Doom (PS4) 28th August 2018 Thy Flesh Consumed 1 month, 5 days Doom is a game that I liked, it's not a game that I loved. I know that this game has been ranked high on a lot of people's lists, but I definitely did not feel the same way. The story for this campaign was really thin, I could care less if the portal to hell was open or closed. For a FPS, the control felt pretty stiff and unpolished. In a sea of Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Destiny, a FPS has to really bring something innovative to stand out. Doom does not do it. The trophies, however, are a nice trade off for a game that is lackluster. The platinum is easily achievable. The ability to utilize chapter select and having the stat screen show your progress makes this a nice trophy hunt. For the trophy hunters out there, I say it's a decent game to get, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone looking for an outstanding FPS experience.
Popular Post Tosmasta00
#156 Gal Gun 2 True Gal Gun Master Unlock every trophy. As for a bit of backstory when i was at my Risu playthrough for whatever reason one day when i booted up my PS4 it was missing my User (not PSN ID) on PS4 so i had to recreate it. And it also did delete all of my capture gallery aswell as all my saves and sadly i didn't upload my Gal Gun 2 save to the cloud even though i thought i did. Popular Post Vermilion_Joker
Platinum #28 — FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0 HD Time to Complete: 1 year, 7 months, 2 weeks (1/15/2017 - 8/30/2018) Started this game years ago when I bought my PS4. I got a couple chapters in before I stopped playing it for almost two years, but recently I've been in a weird phase of actually finishing my games so I can clear them off my hard drive. Seeing as I played this game so much back on PSP, I figured I'd just finish it up. Gotta say, things are a lot easier on the HD version compared to the original. I died a few times compared to the plethora of trial and error on the original. It's definitely an easy platinum, and lackluster compared to other titles, but I'm content with it nonetheless. Strange though, PSNP says my first trophy was two years ago, despite me having only gotten it less than two years ago. Not sure why, but an interesting error.
ArmoredSnowman
On 8/27/2018 at 0:55 PM, Juzota said: #104 - Batman: Arkham Knight I AM the Batman! Reclaim your city. Man, I was so disappointed with this game back in the 2015 and I still think this is worst game from the Arkham-series. I even did enjoy Origins more than this. After Asylum and City which are both great, this just feels such a mess story-wise and also I didn't really like the Batmobile. When I play Batman-game I don't really wanna play with a tank and shoot stuff. And there was sooooooo much of it. It got boring really fast. Also it didn't help that the Arkham Knight, the dude who got his name in the title, was a huge disappoiment. I expected much more from that character. Rest of the gameplay, combat and predator stuff, was top notch and those were definitely the best part in this game. This game also looked really good which is nice I guess. Platinum-trophy in this game was pretty easy to obtain, but the real challenge is in the DLC. I wanted to get every dlc-trophy before going for the Plat and I did almost gave up with this game. Some of the trophies from Community Challenge Pack were brutal. For me it took lots of practice and patience to get them, but I did it and I'm glad I did. I haven't had that same euforia from trophies in a very long time than. It just felt so good to pop some of those trophies after days of raging and cursing, lol. Enjoyment: 6 Platinum Difficulty: 3 100% Difficulty: 8 --- Now I have Platinums and 100%'s for Asylum, City and Knight. I'd love to do the same for Origins, but those damn multiplayer trophies... No thank you. I'm probably gonna replay that game in some point, but not gonna go for 100% completion. Not even sure if the servers are up anymore. Don't really care to be honest. Just sit down and do Origins. It might seem like a bother, but the multiplayer trophies are easily done in a matter of hours, if you have a good boosting group. They're really not too bad, just make sure to keep a list to track down what maps you did.

Popular Post Z-Yux
Got a couple here: Platinum #47: Shenmue This was my first time playing this game, and series for that matter. Time hasn't been too kind to this game I feel. My biggest issue is the slow-paced nature of the game. Other than that, I think it was a fairly decent game. In terms of platinum difficulty, it wasn't really difficult at all in my opinion Platinum Difficulty: 2/10 Time to Platinum: ~15 Hours Enjoyment: 6/10 Platinum #48: Shenmue II Compared to the first entry, this one is a good bit better in my opinion. This game does what a sequel should: Build upon what worked in the first one and rectify what didn't work or was flawed in the first (waiting on events for the most part). The story was a great continuation and I am pretty interested to see what happens when the third entry releases. The platinum, in my opinion, is a little more difficult this time around with a lot more missables. These missables, if missed, can cost you multiple hours of gameplay. SirDave1988
# 89 - LEGO Star Wars III - The Clone Wars (PS3) The Chosen One Collect all Trophies. This one took longer than anticipated, as I thought at one time that my game was glitched. I thought, at one point, that I had achieved True Jedi status in all levels, but I didn't get the trophy, so I gave up on this title for a while. Unbeknown to me, there were clear spaces on the map that were counting as levels that I didn't see till I went back months later . If anyone decides to go for this, or any LEGO plat for that matter, I STRONGLY recommend going for the Red Bricks first upon completing the story. They will make your life a million times easier, believe me, especially with the Ground Battles required for this plat. Overall though, despite not seeing the Clone Wars TV series that I'm to understand this game is based upon, I still enjoyed this game for the most part. My first LEGO game was the original Star Wars one back on PS2, so it's nice to plat one of them. Uncharted 4 will probably be next, but, the thought of 193 collectables.... phew

Popular Post Rick_Sanchez
Platinum Trophy 223 Fun: Initially 8/10 then the grind is a -10/10 Difficulty: 7/10 After starting this game a few years ago I thought I'd never get the platinum, never played much into it and never looked back. I saw the let's play Mugen Souls thread and decided, know what? I'm going to get that plat. This was back in April. It is now the end of August and I've spent 830 hours going for this platinum. This is by no means the average, I took longer due to leaving the game idle to get food, falling asleep for a while, taking my dog out, etc. That all added up. Take away all the time I wasn't playing and you'd get closer to around 500ish hours. Still a long time to grind. This game has you grind little rabbit creatures called shampurus. There's 101 of them and they max out at 9999, you need to get almost all of them maxed out to get this platinum. There's a few other miscellaneous things to do such as get to level 9999, peon fuse 10 times, get a 999 hit combo which is not that bad to do. It's only the get almost every shampuru maxed out that's the issue. I'm glad to be done with this. StiffTripple_X
Plat number 28 Little Adventure on the Prairie I needed 2 more points for 1000 Sony rewards points so I can get another 10 dollars psn code and this game happened to be 2 dollars. If I didn’t need just 2 more points I would of never bought this game lol. The fact that this is on the psn store is kinda ridiculous it is so bad. The level design is hurtful to the eyes and they even have a mistake in numbering the levels. In stage 3 the levels should read 9,10,11,12 but instead they read 9,10,13,12. This game took like 15 mins to plat. There is no story, the only sound is the music, the land you walk on is clearly copy and pasted (you can see line gaps), and the only platforming in this “platforming adventure” is jumping over small gaps or falling down onto lower levels that have no gaps. Enjoyment: 1/10 gameplay 10/10 for laughing at how bad it is plat difficulty: 0.00000001/10
