Popular Post jaehyun1009
#115: Monster Hunter World Conqueror of the New World Unlock all trophies for Monster Hunter: World. Initially I wasn't going for the platinum on this one since I pretty much knew this was going to be a huge grind-fest (which it was, although not in a bad way as I found out) if I tried to go for the platinum just going by the description. I still pre-ordered this game just to try out how good the game was for my friends to recommend it to me and all the sudden I found myself getting addicted to this masterpiece. RNG can be frustrating at times and desire sensor is a bitch but once you actually luck out and finally forge the equipments you need you have that feel that you achieved something great. In-game clock says I had about 250 hours when I got my platinum but I definitely spent closer to 350-400 hours if I count resetting failed missions, grinding for jewels, crown sniping, etc. Although I had so much blast with this game I don't even care and I will continue playing this game to get more, better gear. One disappointing thing though is that loading screen after getting the last giant crown became my platinum screenshot so... disappointing but whatever. ...All that and I still don't have a second attack jewel ?
In2umniaKillH3r
Platinum#201- Coffin Dodgers Enjoyment: 8/10Difficulty: 2/10 Fun little game that I've picked up for less than 2$. Platinum#202- Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles Enjoyment: 7/10Difficulty: 3/10 This game was better than anticipated. Some annoying collectibles that are related to the seasons in the game. I advise anyone that might think of doing the game, to go for the cats as soon as you complete the game since some can only be obtained during certain seasons. I had to wait for 2 hours until the season's cycle through the one I wanted. Edited September 17, 2018 by In2umniaKillH3r
Popular Post SebGamer93
#4 - Marvel's Spider-ManDifficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9.5/10 What can I say? Simply the greatest Spider-Man game ever made. They finally made a game that tops Spider-Man 2. I'm a huge Spidey fan and this game totally delivered. The graphics, story, combat, the characters, the open world setting.... everything is just fantastic. The ending was really emotional. My only complaint is that the side stuff got really redundant. I would have liked a bit more of side stories with actual cutscenes rather. This is an easy platinum. All you need to do is 100% the game which isn't hard at all. I had more than enough tokens for the costumes and gadget upgrades. I got level 50 with ease. Definitely one of the easiest plats for a triple A game.
Popular Post Boomshanks
( 44) Prince of Persia Master Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Not very recent, but still the most recent. I got this game in 2011 because it looked pretty fun. Played it for maybe an hour, got bored with it and then left it alone for a few years. Tried it again one or two times for an hour. Got bored with it again and left it. Then, as I wanted to clear out my backlog, I decided to give it a proper go this year and I actually ended up liking it and finishing it. It’s something I’ve noticed with more games that I have in my backlog. Once I actually commit to playing them, they turn out to be quite fun. What I like most in this game is the platforming, which is good since it makes up most of the game. Getting around from point A to point B is actually quite fun and I loved collecting the light seeds. Even though you have to collect 1000 of them, I never really got bored with it. Normally I’d quickly use a guide to find where they are, but here I made a point not to, which led to some of the most satisfying moments as I finally found the last light seed I needed in that area. It’s one of the few games where I loved just going through the levels and exploring it on my own. A large part of that is also due to the art-style which is gorgeous. It’s a really unique style and makes for some amazing locations, especially after healing the lands. Nolan North voices the prince and I absolutely love the guy, but he’s just really miscast here. The prince in general just feels like a cartoon - always trying to be funny, even when there’s a serious moment going on . Elika fares much better and is voiced very well. One thing I really didn’t like about the game was the combat. Play one fight and you’ve pretty much played them all. There really was no strategy to them, even though they tried very hard to make it seem like there was. It’s just looking at the enemy to see whether you have to press , , or first. The fights also felt incredibly slow, especially during the boss battles. There are only four bosses in the game, but you have to fight every one of them six times. So yaaay. All in all, great platforming and collecting, but horrible combat. Also, the epilogue is painfully average and really not worth the 10 euro it costs. They added a new boss type which can transform… and it’s basically just one of the previous bosses that transforms into another of the previous bosses . New enemy type my ass. But f*ck it, I wanted the 100%.
Popular Post Durandal
Lara Croft GO A true adventurer This little game surprised me! When I first heard about it I thought "yeah yeah, another stupid mobile clone". But the reviews were quite good actually, still I couldn't imagine myself having fun with it. Guess what, I was completely wrong! But first thanks to @Honor_Hand for making me realize that this is actually just the right of game for me. Which is puzzle games, or I like to solve them in games combined with exploration and a living breathing world, in short action adventures! And this game is just the quintessence of this. Yes it short and it has no story and the visuals are heavily stylized but nevertheless it is a small action adventure. And more importantly it is a classic Tomb Raider at heart. Although the game has a story of sorts, just no presentation. There are a few of the iconic Tomb Raider moments and the it even has a few cutscenes. Which means you run around in a dungeon, avoid deadly traps and fight on occasion but most of the time you figure out how to reach your goal. In this case the exit of the particular section of the Tomb. And of course you grab lots of Relics on your way. The main difference of course is that all this happens in turns. Might sound boring and I thought so too, but this is very entertaining, even satisfying when you solve a section of a Tomb. And it is also quite challenging too. Especially at then end of the game and the two bonus Tombs. Being a smaller game means there aren't that many trophies and most of them aren't hard to get but there are a few that require you to search every section carefully for all the relics. And of course you have to solve all the puzzles too, which can be done with a hint system in case you get stuck. But they can be done without, if you put your mind to it. And there are a few ability trophies, you know kill an enemy a certain way that kind of thing. This is a really fun game and a rewarding experience, plus it is quite cheap even if it isn't on sale. Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #144 Marvel's Spider-Man Be Greater Collect all Trophies That was great. Loved the story other than one thing, which I'll put behind the spoiler tag. More an annoying and imo terrible series of contrivances that are so ridiculous that it taints an otherwise spotless story [not that it's perfect, but that it was just enjoyable with nothing going off in my head of... "well that's stupid" until that]. Gameplay is great, platinum was fun to get. I'm tired so don't really feel like writing too much about it. One thing that bugged me about the game is how trip mines work, in that they don't work well on some surfaces. You aim at the edge and then Spidey decides to shoot somewhere else anyway. So they end up facing in directions not intended. Like the top of a box, instead of the side. It's annoying how that works. And the game can be a bit repetitive. Especially the final boss. Spoiler Miles. Not that he's in it, it was actually pretty nice how they handled him until they brought in the spider. MJ knocks over the container it's in. She notices. Shakes it off. And surprise it was actually still on her the whole time so it could get to Miles! In and of itself, not that bad. However, she not only shakes it off [the motion; clearly it failed]. She then proceeds to sneak through Osborn's apartment, jumps off a building, is grabbed out of the air by Spider-Man, is then swung across town without it falling off, leaving, or dying. And they show the spider is still on her when she gets to where they're going. That's bad enough. But for some reason, Spider-Man goes out and does another story mission, and returns and the stupid thing is STILL ON HER and finally gets off. It would've taken like an hour at least of real time for Peter to go do whatever it was. So the spider is just chillin' out on MJ while she's doing whatever it is she's doing in the shelter. Like what? That's just too many contrivances for the spider to get to Miles. May as well just start the game with the spider getting out and then near the end it bites Miles. At least it would be less contrived than a serious of events like that. It's just be one little dumb convenience. Not a billion. It annoyed me.
Popular Post Quantum-Louis_13
Hello, fellow trophy hunters ! Bit of a gloat coming up I was preparing myself for a speedrun in recent days ( one of my favourite games ever ), tried to find the ultimate/ quickest way to obtain all of the trophies in one sitting and after few days I've finally succeeded. I've completed the whole thing in 5 hours and 7 mins, which puts me in first place on Ps3 leaderboards. I'm so damn ecstatic and I had to share the whole thing in here. I'm sure you'll understand Thanks for your time ! Peace ! Edited September 13, 2018 by PaperDreams86
Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #160: Deponia (September 13th, 2018) Difficulty: 1/10 Excitement Rating: 5/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 3 - 4 Hours Bought this game close to a year ago on the Store. Don't know why exactly, probably for the way the game looked and it would seem to be an enjoyable point and click game. Of the two point and clicks I've played back to back, Deponia is superior to Dead Synchronicity. This game has it's share of goofy humor and was clearly inspired by the old LucasArts games. Rufus, the character you're playing as, could very well have been a modern day Guybrush Threepwood. Deponia has all the makings of a good LucasArts point and click adventure game. Daedalic Entertainment did a good job designing the backgrounds and the art. Not sure about getting the sequel. Maybe eventually, once I clear more games out of my backlog. For now, two point and click games are enough, as they tend to bore me after a while. I do recommend Deponia for anyone who enjoys point and clicks. Popular Post Kishnabe
Platinum #225: Adventures of Mana (PSV) Made this a Milestone Platinum. Took around 20 hours or so. 6+ hours of grinding to level 99 by fighting Elephants. Managed to finish Iron Fist Season 2 while grinding. Had experience with Secret, Sword, Heroes, and Children of Mana. I would put this below Secret and Sword. IMO, Heroes and Children were trash...chucked them away after the first hour. Platinum #224,6: FullBlast (PSV+PS4) Another easy Ratalaika Game (15-40 min Plat), thankfully they did not mimic the Steam Achievements. Even thought this is pretty easy for SCHMUP but completing Hard Mode (STEAM) in one Run...no thanks. Not a Bullet Hell game. Very Standard for the genre. Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #161: Trine 2 (September 14th, 2018) Difficulty: 2/10 Excitement Rating: 7/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 2 - 3 Hours Did not expect much from this game but I ended up really enjoying it, despite the short adventure it provided me. Trine 2 is a puzzle and physics platformer at heart. You play as three characters each with their own abilities. The wizard can conjure boxes and planks, the thief can shoot arrows, grapple to wooden platforms and use stealth, and the knight obviously can attack with his sword and defend with his shield. Each character is required to bypass certain sections of the games, be it traps, platforms, enemies and what have you. One of the very first games I remember playing as a kid from back in the day was The Lost Vikings for the Super Nintendo. It was a multicharacter puzzle platformer where you needed to use all three vikings to proceed further into the game. Trine 2 works in the same fashion, with the only difference here being you can switch to any of the three characters at will, rather than having them all on screen like The Lost Vikings did. I much prefer the setup of Trine, because you can change characters on the fly at any given moment. Comparison aside, Trine 2 is a good game. Bit of a shame you can earn the platinum by playing only halfway through the story, but since I have Trine 2: Complete Story from a flash sale I'll just wait until I play that. The quirky atmosphere is a nice change of pace from the more serious settings in some games I've played. Hopefully the first Trine is more of the same. The graphics are very well done, coming from a small studio (Frozenbyte) I'm quite impressed. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to get into this series.
