Popular Post madbuk
#275 - Life is Strange: Before the Storm Apart from a rather disappointing final episode, this was great. The first two episodes felt like they really captured the Life is Strange tone and spirit, and I was impressed by Chloe's new actress because I really couldn't tell the difference (keeping in mind I played the original 2 years ago.) The plot was interesting and I was surprised because I was expecting this to be completely unnecessary and hindered by knowing how everything plays out in the original. Thankfully that wasn't the case and this remained interesting by introducing plot threads not touched upon in the original. I liked Chloe more in this than the original, but I wish it gave you some more diverging paths. I felt really bad for Joyce but there wasn't anything I could do to remedy it, because the game never gave me an option to until a very specific point. Some more freedom would be appreciated. The final episode is just terrible in that regard, so many choices I didn't want to make but the game forces you to for the sake of plot progression. The whole pay off was very underwhelming as well but I won't get into that too much because spoilers. I liked the backtalk mechanic a lot more than the time travel in the original, since time travel in a choice-based game feels like it robs it of the impact of your choices since you can just rewind and redo. Whereas the backtalking here felt like a genuine risk. Despite a very disappointing third episode, I'm glad I played this and I look forward to delving into the Farewell episode tomorrow. Shame it doesn't have trophies, but apparently it's the best and I'm excited to see what it has in store.
Popular Post DamagingRob
#347- Knee Deep Platinum Trophy Acquire all trophies I'll just copy and paste what I said in my status update. I'm sure Cr1s won't mind the extra notification. Enjoyed this more than I thought I would, after a certain someone told me it was meh. *coughs* @cr1s *coughs* But I may just have a soft spot for Wales Interactive. I mean, I'll recommend Master Reboot/Soul Axiom to anyone who will listen. Although, I think this was only published by them, and made by a different dev.. But it gave me that Twin Peaks level of weirdness vibe. A lot of the dialogue was pretty humorous, especially when choosing to give "strange responses" all the time. Lol. Replaying Act 1 three times was a bit of a drag, though.. And it was less of an adventure game than I was expecting. No control over your character's movement, just selecting dialogue options. But the positives outweighed the negatives. Spoiler
Popular Post Bullstomp
Marvel's Spider Man Difficulty: 2.5 Fun Factor: 9.5 This game was an absolute delight to play. Great story, excellent characters, fun combat. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 for fun factor is objectives can get repetitive and tedious. I would recommend this to just about any type of gamer, even if you aren't a super hero fan.

I was so excited for this game to come out. I didn't think I would finish it this fast though, lol. I definitely recommend this game to people who like puzzle games. The amount of humor in this game is great. 75th Platinum Slime Rancher Platinum Platinum This game.. everything was fine till rush mode came around. Even though this game is very fun and cute.. when you're timed to do certain things, it'll make you want to rip your head off. Overall this game is fantastic - so you should definitely touch Rush Mode last if you wish to fully enjoy it. Popular Post Undead Wolf
#222 - Nex Machina Nex Incarnate Complete all trophies Another great game from Housemarque. I've played some of their other titles like Resogun and Dead Nation, but this one was definitely my favourite. I just love how fast-paced and arcadey it is. The controls feel so tight, the soundtrack is awesome, and best of all, it's a blast to play. I was seriously hooked right from the get-go. The platinum is a little difficult to obtain mostly due to it requiring you to beat Veteran difficulty - I pretty much dedicated an entire day to knocking this one out. Even after many failed attempts, I never really got frustrated. I could physically see myself getting better with each run and it felt oh so good to finally do it. Nex Machina is a perfect example of gameplay being king; it doesn't need anything else since it really nails that core gameplay. I can't recommend it enough. I'll leave you with this song because I've had it stuck in my head for days.

Popular Post cr1s
#380 - Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash MARVELOUS! Obtained all trophies. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 Senran Kagura with swimsuits and water guns. Sounds like a lot of fun, right? Well, I'll be honest: I didn't find this game to be that marvelous. The most fun I had was playing the V Road Challenge and experiencing the Dressing Room (with the PSVR ). I have mixed feelings regarding the game otherwise. On the one hand, turning Senran Kagura into a third-person shooter is an interesting concept, but on the other, it's missing some of the excitement of a game like Estival Versus. Granted, they're not comparable due to them pertaining to different genres, but that's how I feel about it. I think PBS works much better as a multiplayer game because it's just so much fun seeing all the wet chaos between two teams unfold and participating in it. I didn't enjoy the main story this time. It's lacking in substance, with two arcs even featuring the same story, just with a very slight difference. A couple of other things keep the game from being more fun as well: The lack of variety when it comes to the melee attacks. I get it, they wanted to distance themselves from that aspect of the series, but still... All the guns feeling the exact same because... well, they're water guns. It doesn't matter whether you choose the Gatling Gun or the Handgun or the Shower Gun, you won't feel any difference. The plot, on the other hand... oh boy, if you're a fan of plot then you're gonna love this one. The Dressing Room now comes with a twist: you can do a lot of things to the girls in Intimacy mode. I won't say what exactly, you'll have to experience that on your own. And of course, they seized this opportunity to add VR support to that mode. Not to mention the Squirmy Finishes, although I miss seeing the girls' clothes get torn apart like in Estival Versus. Final Verdict: I think PBS is an okay game. It's nice to see developers use spin-offs as an opportunity to try out something new, but while PBS has a nice concept, it just doesn't translate that well to me. And now, for the platinum screenshot. Boy, do I have a very juicy one for you this time : Spoiler
Popular Post NorbR338055
#16 - Marvel's Spider-Man Also: Trophy #1000 Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Oh man what a game. I'm a bit late to the party with this one -- I've had the platinum ready to go since Sunday (just one more tower to climb ...) but I wanted it to be a milestone, so I've held up for a bit while racking up easy trophies in other games (surprisingly good games by the way ... but more on that for platinums #17 and #18 ) so that I could make it my 1000th overall trophy. Such a great game, I've had heaps of fun playing it and I could hardly put the controller down at the end of each night. I don't have much to say that hasn't already been said, but to state the obvious: the traversal is pure bliss, the combat is awesome and so fluid, and I actually really enjoyed the story. I hesitated going for 10/10, but I'll stay with 9, because of some minor bugs, some repetitiveness in the crime missions and some boring main missions (looking at you, stealthy Miles). Still, a truly excellent experience.
Popular Post SirDave1988
# 90 - LEGO Marvel Super Heroes (PS4) Have you ever tried Shawarma? Collect every trophy Another LEGO plat down, and this one was quite enjoyable actually. The side missions were well done, almost done in a GTA-like style of missions across a city, which were definitely better than the ground battles from LEGO Star Wars 3, even if it took a solid 2 weeks of play just to do the side-content. If you've ever plated a LEGO game before, they all follow a similar formula, and this one's no exception. Being a PS4 launch title, the graphics aren't that much better, but they weren't bad to begin with. Working on Uncharted 4 and TR : Anniversary amongst others next. Popular Post Masamune
Platinum Trophy You've unlocked every trophy in the game. You've mastered "Resonance of Fate"! Difficulty: 4/10 (this would probably be higher for first-time players) Enjoyment: 9/10 Playtime: 78:34:57 (2 weeks, 11 hours, 44 minutes) I can't believe they announced a remaster for this game a week after I started it. Maybe I'm subconsciously psychic, & that's why I chose it? I do hope it gets a lot of attention though, it's a really fun game (then maybe they'll finally make a sequel to it). I'll probably get the remaster eventually too (although it sucks it's digital only), it depends on if there's anything extra added to it or not. This game really does deserve a sequel, I've gotten the plat for this twice & I still don't fully understand the story (but thankfully the awesome gameplay makes-up for that). ? Or even a prequel would work too (& I usually don't care for those), just to help explain some of the events that happened in this game.

Popular Post Zach
#104 Marvel's Spider-Man Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Time: 25hrs Holy crap balls, it's Spider-Man! I haven't had this much fun on a Spider-Man game since Spider-Man 1 (PS1) and Spider-Man 2 (PS2)! All the games in between have been objectively bad. The web swinging is near-perfect, the combat is fluid, the graphics are amazing, the boss battles are epic, and the story (oh god the story) is one of the best in any video game there is. In my opinion, there was a never a dull moment. Throughout the story there are also two other playable characters, which spices up things with the concessional stealth missions. Both of these characters are interesting as well, so no boring, forced missions here. The city is also littered with side activities. The activities include: Collectibles, side missions, enemy bases, crimes, and stakeouts! There is even an optional boss! I'll keep that boss a secret though. I didn't find any of the side activities boring or grindy, so good news there. I cannot wait to see what Insomniac Games does next! Buy or Rent verdict? BUY THIS GAME!

What I did for those races was, between each ring, I would stop, move up or down as needed, then move forward. Then, when you get sections where you don't need to move up or down, double tap to speed up flight and make up time for later rings. Using this method, only 1 race gave me a bit of trouble, the one on the Shield Heilcarrier I think. That one, you HAVE to go up and down while moving forward as the time limit is kinda strict, but it is definitely doable. Hope this helps! Popular Post DiegoMolinams
Platinum # 56 - Marvel's Spider-Man Be Greater Absolutely fantastic, the quality and quantity of content of this game are amazing and the gameplay was almost flawless. The story was unexpectedly spectacular, a rollercoaster of emotions, I haven't felt that connected to Spider-Man and Peter Parker since the Sam Raimi trilogy. The game was a truly refreshing experience. Also, I had the luck to travel to New York for the first time just two weeks before the game release. The way they recreated New York in game blew my mind, it made me feel homesick for a place that's not my home for the first time ever, I can't wait to go back!
