ArmoredSnowman
14 hours ago, RedRodriguez87 said: PS4 A perfect Storm Master. 1 year, 1 week, 6 days. Yep, here's another I had no plans on ever coming back to. I had gotten the PS3 plat on my old account, and I didn't remember it being hard, just really long and tedious. And it's certainly that, as well as not being hard, really. If there is one thing this game did, it was reaffirm that the direction they chose for Naruto's voice actor was the absolute worst. Not the series in general, specifically Naruto. And I'm talking about BOTH the eng and jpn versions. If there's one thing you can't knock about the dub, is that it nails his annoying Japanese voice perfectly. I don't know what they were thinking when they thought "permanent screech that sounds like hell on your vocal chords" was the direction to go in, but it is the reason I can't take this character seriously. His ninja way? How he'll always protect his friends? Sauce gay? No matter what he happens to be talking about, this character will remain a joke to me, all thanks to his voice acting. (side note, I wanna laugh at how Naruto screeches at Orochimaru that he doesn't own Sasuke, when all Naruto does is negate Sasuke's agency at every possible moment, acting like he is a disobedient child that ran away from home). Not helping this is the dialogue, which is one of those instances where it tries to be faithful and true to the source material, but ends up sounding stiff, awkward, and unnatural. You got lines that point out the obvious (*jutsu does a thing* some asshole: the jutsu is doing a thing!) which makes sense in a still image of a comic book and helps the reader, but is utterly pointless when the picture is MOVING. And of course, the one-two word farts. "Foolish" "so strong" "Know pain" "nuisance" "adjective" "its over" Ok, I kinda wanted to get that off my chest, but let close by saying when the game cuts loose and does its own thing is when it gets great. You got unique spins on things, believable imaginative translations from manga to video game. I would argue that the Ultimate Ninja Storm games are probably, so far, the best example of how to translate from one media to another in terms of visual storytelling through the action. I love the English voice acting for Naruto, but felt they should've got a different person for Boruto, as that's more annoying to hear in UNS4, but seems Maile has somewhat gotten better with Boruto for the upcoming anime. At least since they started making PS3 games. Another outstanding game, with great music, story, visuals, and gameplay. I wasn't sure what it would be like, having Nadine as a costar. But I liked her a lot more in this game. I wouldn't mind seeing her and Chloe in more adventures. Spoiler

Popular Post kaluna1
#28 Tekken 7 A bit late to the party, finally got the game last week. Tekken 3-6 were a fairly big part of my youth, I never got hardcore into the competitive scene but I enjoyed them all for different reasons. Tekken 6 I played on 360 and got all achievements there, I'd say this was a bit easier. Neither game had anything too crazy, like dreadful combo challenges; but this one was especially simple. I thought I might need to boost one of the online ones due to it being hard to find a game, especially in Aus. But I powered through a laggy tournament match for the trophy, and once the online ones were out of the way the SP was very simple. I do wish the game had more single player content, but Treasure mode is pretty fun. It's a buffed up version of the ghost battle which I played a ton back in Tekken 5 which I liked. Story was ok but a bit short, and while the character stories had the odd funny moment they weren't as good as the old arcade openings/endings.
Drag-On-Detritus
On 15/09/2018 at 11:41 PM, Bumperklever said: #75 Sir Eatsalot (PSVita) Defender of Gluttington Date Achieved: 15 September 2018 Rarity: Uncommon (39-40%) Enjoyment: 4.5/10 This game reminds me a lot of super exploding zoo and can be summed up in one sentence. Nice looking; cutesy/great art style, but boring gameplay. Probably due to combat being attack/block/attack without really any variations and you just being way to slow. This game is also clunky as hell and pretty much summed up by the following quote from the trophy thoughts thread: Reveal hidden contents Game just isn't worth it and it's a shame since it actually looks really nice on paper. Damn, well done making it through that! Sometimes I vent after being annoyed at a game & later on think I was being a bit harsh but in this instance I read back what I wrote about sir eatsalot & all those bad memories came flooding back, I wouldn't change a thing in that writeup. Lately I've been thinking about how good this month has been for playing the sorts of games I'm passionate about (well a couple of those made their way in amongst all the easy-earning) and how nice that can be after doing a few too many 'trophy games'. I had forgotten about the venting & seeing it again now just reaffirms that.
Popular Post NorbR338055
#17 - Game of Thrones Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Well, this was a pleasant surprise. I got this game on PS Plus a while back, and it's been sitting in my backlog ever since, in part because I'd read so many negative reviews about it, and how it was supposedly the worst Telltale game ever. I only started it because I needed some easy trophies to make the Spider-Man platinum my 1000th trophy. Well, now I wish I'd played it sooner ... This might be my favourite Telltale game ever ... at least it's right up there with the best of them. I was hooked by the end of Episode 1 already (in case there was any doubt that this story would be faithful to the spirit of GoT, those doubts would be done by the end of that episode), and never looked back. Fantastic story, that had me hesitate for a long time on some truly difficult choices to make. Of course it's even more bitter that I get this trophy on the week-end that Telltale announces that they're shutting down. Another story arc that I would have loved to see developed further, and never will ... I was sad when I heard the news, and I'm even sadder now ?
FMWWant
Platinum #36: Spiral Splatter Oh dear, this platinum. This was one of those, it looks easy on paper and getting them is easy, but man, you really have to focus in on this one guys, I'm not kidding. If you don't like those tense puzzle games, this one is not for you. My hands were sweating with every single death I got with this game! But with that, I completed my 2018 goal o getting 10 platinums within the year, the most I've ever gotten in such a span of time actually (I may have to triple check on that one but I'm sure its right).

Popular Post MilanYildirim
#145. Spiderman l think we all can agree that this game is awesome! However, l would like to add few. First of all, l am sick of seeing Sjw effects on things l like. A black spiderman from a paralel universe? For fuck sakes. This kind of shit is going to make me hate that approach. I am sick of this. Secondly, boss battles were absurdly poor. If Insomniac was inspired by God of War III, chances are this game could have been best Playstation exclusive ever. Overally, it's still pretty good. Story was really decent it got me emotional from time to time, l've also enjoyed the humor a lot. Popular Post zizimonster
#52 Mafia III Let me say that my journey through Nam Vet Lincoln Clay's revenge life was pestered with worries and pressure. It happened because there were claims that some trophies might glitch. I decided to rigorously take my time, and went back and forth to create backup saves, also. Fortunately, at the end of the day, not a single trophy glitched on me. Back in the day, I watched all of Mafia III videos since it was announced. I even opted to buy the game when it had a release date, but dropped that motivation shortIy after I heard players were having troubles unlocking trophies. Glad I gave it a second chance when it became "free" on PlayStation Plus. Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is? Insanity is doing the exact same effing thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. And Mafia III is that "insanity", gameplay-wise. It is quite amusing, however, to see the story unfold along with cutscenes which are rendered beautifully. Popular Post Carol
#140 Shadow of the Tomb Raider Chalice of Torment Earn all Trophies I really like these new Tomb Raider games, so this was, actually, the only game that I pre-ordered this year. I didn't regret it. It's a very enjoyable game. It's more based on exploration and puzzles than the previous two, but the combat, now more focused on stealth, is very improved, so the gameplay feels very balanced and everything fits very well together. I also liked the atmosphere and that apocalyptic sun of the final boss battle. The platinum is reasonably easy. The hardest difficulty, "Deadly Obsession", is tense, because you can only save at base camps and there are no instincts or white paint to guide you, but, apart from a couple of sections, that gave me more trouble, it wasn't that bad. Unfortunately, I was one of the people affected by the glitched collectibles. One of the monoliths glitched on me, not spawning the respective treasure. I collected everything else and had my game at 99.88% for a while. I was waiting for a patch to solve the problem, but after finishing my deadly obsession playthrough, I just got tired of waiting, so I used an earlier save that I had and spent almost the entire day regathering collectibles. Fortunately, nothing glitched this time and I got my 100% trophy and my platinum. The name of this platinum, "Chalice of Torment", for me and I'm sure for many others, who were also affected by the glitches, is truly ironic. It isn't funny having to redo stuff that you already accomplished earlier, but, hey, at least I loved the game and I also like these collectibles of open-world games, so it could be worse.

Popular Post DamagingRob
#349- Valley Big Game Hunter Acquire all trophies I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky. And much flying through the air you will do, should you play this game. It's actually super jumping, though. Game is pretty fun to play, but kind of annoying to Plat. Collectibles are horribly designed, and you'll have to follow a guide to locate them all (unless you think you can actually find them without help). And the only real guide is a complete playthrough, which makes it even worse. Enjoy sitting through 3 and a half hours of videos, while trying to go where the person in the video does.. But it has some interesting and unique gameplay mechanics. And isn't really challenging at all, if you want something relaxing to play. Visuals and music are pretty nice, too.
