Popular Post Metal Slime King
Plat #119 - Strider (PS3) Strider Master My second time playing this fun little Metroidvania, I played it on the PS4 a while ago then picked it up again for PS3 when it was on sale for a couple of bucks. A lone ninja infiltrates a futuristic, vaguely Communist territory in order to topple the existing regime. The game looks and plays well, the sound is alright but the voice acting is laughingly bad at parts. This game does provide a good example of the PS+ effect on rarity. The PS4 version which was given out on PS+ has a current platinum rarity of 5.56% whereas the PS3 version which was never given out on PS+ sits at 13.45%. Anyways, it's a good little action game if you see it on sale on either platform.

Stellar character writing, masterfully textured soundtrack, & unforgettable interactions with the boozehounds of Glitch City. Ahh, Jill Stingray. How I'll miss you and your unassuming life...evanescent, everyday. Thank you for everything - you, plus, naturally, Best Boss. Satisfying 2,000 Trophy + 20 Platinum combo on the trophy front, too. c:

Popular Post NorbR338055
#20 - Assassin's Creed Odyssey Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 What an Odyssey indeed. 76 hours to Platinum, and I loved virtually every minute of it. The main story is great, but the game is really elevated by all the side stories and quests (also, they get much better endings than the main story line, which was a bit underwhelming). In particular, Spoiler the ending of the Cult quest line, when confronting the Ghost, was truly the best in the game. That should have been tied to main story imho. I don't usually spend that much time gaming, 76h in 3 weeks is much more than I usually do, but this game really had me hooked. Admittedly I was rushing a bit towards the end because Red Dead is coming, I might have taken a bit more time in the late game to roam around the world if it weren't for that, but there's so much to do in this game that I always wanted to come back anyway. Not a 10/10 because of some performance issues, that forced me to restart the game 4 or 5 times over the course of my odyssey. Generally speaking, the loading times were really long. Also, on a much more subjective note, as pretty as the game is, I have to admit the world in Origins captivated me more. Completely subjective, but there it is. On every other aspect, Odyssey is much better than Origins. Much more ambitious, the story is better, the combat is truly improved, the world is much more fleshed out ... just better across the board (and I liked Origins!) There's nothing difficult to the Platinum, or to the game. It's grindy, resources and XP don't come easy, but again, there's so much to do in this world, I see this as a great thing. Spoiler Mercenaries, cultists, the arena, legendary animals, legendary creatures, conquest battles, naval combat, contracts and bounties ... really not hard to find the XP to level up. Awesome game, really. Glad that gets to be a milestone as Platinum #20. Now time for Red Dead. (Also, I hate boars now.)

I mean don't get me wrong, it is what it is, a crossword puzzle game, and it functions perfectly well in that regard, but MAN is it a slog to get through. The reason it took me as long as it did was because it couldn't be assed to play this game for extended periods of time. No wonder you didn't like it, considering it's a word search game, not crossword. I think many people just listen to music while playing though, as there's so many puzzles to do.

Popular Post TazDevilz1986
Project CARS 2 #326 One More For The Road Earned all other trophies This one took me a while, since it was the only game i really worked on. Also currently i was helping some friends in Twisted Metal in between. So i slacked a lil bit of getting platinums. The online trophies were a grind. You had to do 350 online races to finish the online. It was easy, since 1 other can be just sitting there in your lobby, and don't do nothing. My partner had a hard time to get online trophies done with me. Since he was very busy, and i was in a rush to finish the game. I offered this guy some help after the platinum but he wasn't there, so i messaged him that i needed to return the game, since it was rented. So one of my friends offered to help, and he idled in my lobby for nonstop, untill i finished up. The platinum itself was fairly easy if you are into race games. The Formula X car is one of the best cars in the game and he is a beast. And i recommend you using that one if you gonna boost your online trophies. The plat took me around 60+ hours. The difficulty is pretty much 4/10. Nothing to bad really. Edited October 27, 2018 by TazDevilz1986

Popular Post Bullstomp
Fire Pro Wrestling: World "Hall of Famer" 1.71% Ultra Rare (16th person to platinum since it was released August 2018) Fun Factor: 20 out of 10 Difficulty: 8.5 out of 10 Allow me to say up front that since waaayy back in the 80s when I played "Mat Mania" and "Wrestle War" for the first time I have always enjoyed wrestling games. As a result I have played a whole lot of different titles on different platforms during different generations. I am going to start this review by saying this wrestling game is easily the best wrestling game of the past two generations (PS3 and PS4) and without a doubt in the top three of all time. First off, don't let the simple graphics fool you. This game is very deep from the game mechanics to customization to crowd interaction. Additionally there is a story mode that lets you bring a wrestler up the ranks of New Japan. It is fun in it's own right but it is ideal to learn the ropes (pun intended). What will be the plat breaker for many will be mission mode. Mission mode puts you in different match conditions with different wrestlers and challenges you to not only complete the conditions but also get the coveted S rank on each. Some, particularly in the first 20 missions, are not hard at all. But when you get to the 40th mission your skill and frustration level will be put to the test. In summary if you like wrestling games and can only get one title this year fuck 2K; this is the best choice. The biggest compliment I can give this game is even though I have finished the game I will continue to play it for the foreseeable future ? Popular Post Bumperklever
#79 Playstation All-Star Battle Royale (PS3)All-Star Legend - You´ve Only Done EverythingDate Achieved: 27 October 2018Rarity: Rare (12-13%)Enjoyment: 5/10 Huh funny, I actually wasn't planning for this since I already platted this game back in June 2016 for Vita. But I had a sudden urge to play it again for server shutdown and then at 21 October I finally decided to just do it. Thanks to @Calcimer_LDN94 for being a really nice guy to just boost with me in such a short period. My enjoyment rating back in the day was a 7/10 which is imo way to high for this game. The game itself isn't all that bad, but the mechanics are way less superiour then smash/ brawlout or even kunfu panda. It's way more fun to just hit an opponent and make them weaker instead of make you stronger and do a super move which is the only way to kill. But the main annoyance is that trophy list is garbage. Since this list will test your state of mind. 20 playthroughs for 20 bronze trophies through that dreadfully boring arcade mode; No thanks. But I found my old thoughts to be funny aswell :3 #26 Playstation All-Star Battle Royale (PSVita) ...All-Star Legend - You´ve Only Done Everything This is a rip-of from Super smash bros from nintendo. yay The game many people were hyped about but turn out to be not what they expected. I think this game is oke , but I dislike the way you defeat enemies in this game. Also some level 3 attacks are just so OP. I don´t mind the character selection because I think that is fine. The arcade battles are just a grind to get rid of, nothing special. Still a fun game to play online! Popular Post Redgrave
#138: True Successor of Hokuto Shinken - Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise The closest to playing a Fist of the North Star game was I believe the demo to Ken's Rage back on the PS3 and I don't know too much about the series itself so I went in kind of blind here apart from knowing it was basically another Yakuza-style game. So unfortunately I can't really make much comparisons between this game and the anime/manga although I have a feeling that if you are a fan of it there would be a lot of differences you would notice, like how one of the antagonists for Kenshiro is more or less just a quick tutorial boss and so on. But that said, the Yakuza team did pretty well with this. It's not exactly a full on Yakuza game but considering the material they were working with they did pretty well having an adaption of a series while giving it that Yakuza style story to it. It's certainly pretty fun pulling off the techniques, especially the iconic "Omae wa mou shindeiru" move And while I wouldn't put the bosses on Kuze from Yakuza 0's level, there were a couple that were really hype and I love the cutscenes that takes place before a certain one. And it was also pretty neat seeing the Yakuza references. The only issues I can say I had with it were the dune buggy races weren't too great due to janky controls and the A.I. sometimes rubber banding during some races. Plus the fact you had to grind the races out for materials for the Talismans really felt like a chore. The Talisman grind itself was also a pain because you have to upgrade 24 Talismans to max level and I really don't like that sort of thing because it makes you go through the trouble of upgrading things that you more than likely won't even use. There's also how you have to upgrade a certain way or else you would be locked out of Toki's training for a playthrough. That sort of thing is unfair especially if you didn't know anything about it beforehand. But I am definitely thankful they allow you to do EX Hard difficulty on NG+ since I like being able to go through the hardest difficulty with all the upgrades I have possible as opposed to just upgrading everything and having to start from scratch again. But yeah, if you like Yakuza and even sort of know about Fist of the North Star this is a pretty good game to go for. It might not be the full package of both but it certainly does things well enough. Edited October 28, 2018 by Redgrave
Popular Post StraightVege
Plasteel and Silica #176 - 2064: Read Only Memories I had originally planned to just blow through this game for a speedy plat, but being a sucker for sci-fi and transhumanism, I ended up finding it compelling enough to take my time with the dialogue and exploration on my first run. It's actually a competently written cyberpunk mystery, featuring a mostly stellar voice cast, and a pretty great soundtrack as well. They also managed to squeeze more clever references to other games and media into 2064 than I've ever seen in a single title, which was really amusing. The main low point are the two terribly clunky and random action sections (which happen to be tied to the only "difficult" trophies in the game), but they're overcome easily enough with a bit of practice. Glad I gave this game a chance; it turned out to be quite good! I love getting introduced to lesser-known stuff like this via PS Plus.

Popular Post Eyjabria
Uncharted: Golden Abyss (PS Vita) Platinum Collect all other 55 Trophies for this Trophy. Had this in my backlog for years and finally decided to pick it up. My nephew unlocked a trophy from the tutorial on Christmas 2015 when he wanted to try the console (I'm now officially a child labor utilizing cheater). This was my first Uncharted game and I wanted to see what it's all about and maybe get the rest of the trophies for it too. The game puts you in shoes of Nathan Drake, a guy who apparently has super powers like jumping across huge ravines and surviving multiple gunshot wounds by regenerating rapidly. He travels to a rain forest to look for ancient ruins and clues which eventually lead him to an old golden city from myths known as the "Golden Abyss". I don't remember the game introducing the character in any way, so I have no idea who he is and why he likes to dig up relics. Drake crosses paths with a military general who is after riches from the ruins to fund a revolution, which means "Nate" is going to have a bad time. Nate gets help from a few companions, though sometimes they are more of a burden when they need to be protected from enemies. The story reminds me of Hollywood action movies and the dialogue's attempts at humor were a bit embarrassing. The characters were a bit uninteresting. While the story wasn't anything spectacular I liked the archaeology parts. The ruins were a hiding place for symbols carved into stone, old weaponry, statuettes and ancient jewelry, etc. Inspecting these collectibles revealed secrets when you put them together and you got to read something about the history and mythology behind these items and an ancient culture that had lived in the area. The mechanic for inspecting relics was quite inventive as you had to clean them from dirt or make carbon drawings of engraved symbols by rubbing the touch screen. Gameplay of this 3rd person shooter / action adventure was good for the most part. The game was clearly made to showcase Vita's features like gyro, touch screen, back touch screen and camera. The game makes heavy use of the touch screen, to a point where it sometimes felt like I was playing a mobile game instead of a console game. Melee combat and main menu utilize touch screen only - for some reason there's no alternative controls for those. A welcome feature was motion control aiming which made life a lot easier for me as I'm terrible at aiming with analog sticks. Graphically the game looks impressive on Vita standards. The realistic style has downsides as the environments seem a bit lifeless with no wildlife in the rain forest. The character models looked a bit strange at times with antialiasing issues. The only piranha I saw at the river though was Nathan Drake with his weird spiky teeth and dead eyes... Even though compromises clearly have had to be made in the graphical presentation, the game suffered from occasional performance issues. Things got a bit hot when about 6 enemies were shooting at me and the frame rates seemed like I was looking at a slideshow as I was looking for cover. Music fit the game's events well but the tunes were pretty forgettable. The English voice acting sounded good and the voices fit the characters. Unfortunately the game had some audio glitches where gunshots were sometimes muted, which led to multiple deaths as I didn't know I was fired at. A few times I encountered AI glitches which prevented progression but thanks to the game's generous checkpoint system it was enough to restart the checkpoint and proceed nearly without losing any time at all. For the platinum you need to complete the game on Hard difficulty and then again on Crushing difficulty. At first I didn't think I'd manage the hardest difficulty but thanks to the checkpoint system I was able to retry an endless amount of times and I never had to replay long sections of the game. I also have to commend the developer for making a system that's very trophy hunter friendly! The chapter select allows you to replay any chapter in any order and you can freely select the difficulty setting for each. You can also clearly see which chapters have collectibles you haven't found yet. There's some grinding involved in the "defeat x enemies with weapon y" and the "complete the bounty set" trophies but I felt those went by pretty painlessly. Overall the game was entertaining and well made. I probably wouldn't have purchased the game myself (got the game for free with Vita) as I usually don't play games like this but it served as a nice change of pace and I ended up enjoying it for the most part.

Popular Post Lars
#160 and my 10.000th trophy: Saints Row 4 Platinum and 100% With this game i have now finished the entire Saints Row franchise that has trophies at least. So that is Saints Row 3,4 and Gat out of Hell. This game and Gat out of Hell are exactly identical except for the setting and that Saints Row 4 is longer. In this game you still play as the Saints and you have entered the white house and are president of the United States. Then the creativity of the story team went a bit out of the window because suddenly there were aliens. An alien invasion enters the earth and all characters are captured by the main antagonist Zinyak. They are trapped inside a simulation of Steelport. Because this is a simulation the characters can have all kind of things that are normally not possible, mainly the superpowers. When you enter the simulation you almost immediately are able to use superpowers. These consist of a blast, a stomp (ground punch kind of thing), telekinesis and buff. Buff is an area attack around you. So for example for a short amount of time everything that you get close to is caught on fire. Telekinesis is not fun to use though, and more annoying even. These superpowers can be used next to loads of weapons. these consist of the regular weapons like an assault rifle and a shotgun. But after a while and after completing some main and side missions you get access to alien weapons. These are really overpowered. There is an levitating weapon, a blackhole gun. The really fun dubstep gun. These all have a special feature which makes the regular version of the weapon, for example Bounce Gun instead of a normal assault rifle, completely unnecessary. In this case the Bounce gun has more powerful bullets and they bounce of walls and enemies so you can hit more enemies per shot. The game consists of main story missions, and side activities. There are also side missions but the objectives are always a collection of side activities. Except for loyalty missions, these are short side missions. The main mission are really fun and varied, although most of them consist of loads of over the top action and carnage or over the top NSFW jokes and settings. Every mission has the same goal, save yourself and friends from Zinyak and kill loads of aliens. The side activities are varied and loads of fun, they differ from mayhems, superpowered time trials and for example fight clubs . They are used to get XP and money. XP doesn't really have a goal here, the only thing that it does is give you upgrades to buy with the money you earn. But they are behind a level cap then, that level cap is the only thing you unlock with the XP. Money is easy to get but you need loads to unlock everything because you can unlock personal and weapon upgrades. Aside from the different activities you can also amuse yourself in the map. Because just causing carnage is great. Next to the attack superpowers there are also movement superpowers, these consist of a flight mode and a super sprint. These make vehicles completely unnecessary. The world is also filled with collectibles. These are statues, audio logs and data clusters of which there are 1200. These can be used to upgrade the superpowers. That is basically it, the game is really fun to play and literally a blast. You can cause carnage with crazy weapons, superpowers and vehicles. I really enjoyed it myself except for the fact that after a short amount of time the game gets really easy. With all the upgrades to attack and defense it is almost impossible to die. And the game is pretty glitchy which really annoyed me. It hard crashed on me 3 times and the game got stuck really often. Also in the DLC missions the game is even more glitchy, especially in the christmas DLC there are some missions that just get stuck or become impossible to finish. The DLC's are fun to play though and have some really easy trophies as well. Difficulyty: 3/10 Enjoyment:9/10
Popular Post X_Wizi_X
#95 inFamous I have read some 2009-2010's topics about inFamous during last days and most of the comments were clearly positive about how it was "the cream of the crop". I have no doubts about it, but nowdays, not having clear in-game stats and a lot of same side missions repeated over and over could upset more than one player. But we're talking about a 2009 game and have to say I liked to play the main plot and I'm guessing things will get better in inFamous 2.
