Popular Post X_Wizi_X
#97 inFamous Second Son Hmmm... mixed feelings. On a side a stunning graphic, all collectables marked on map and stats and the best power seen till now in the series: Video. On the other side the game basically has just 5 side missions repeated 13 times, a half-empty city, a storyline short enough that could be a DLC and (this is my personal taste) a fixed aim always on screen (like if you go third person playing in Fallout or Skyrim and I hate that setting). Delsin is pretty anonymous compared to Cole. Imo slighty better than inFamous but 2 steps back from inFamous 2. Popular Post Lum
#36: Father and Son Obtain all other trophies While there was a lot of hype, positive reviews and praise surrounding other AAA 3rd person games like Horizon Zero Dawn, The Witcher 3 and The Last of Us that were very deserving and that I greatly enjoyed myself, I did not get that same wondrous fulfillment with God of War. Don't get me wrong, I had fun with GOW and think it is a solid game, it's just that it didn't perform nearly as well as the above mentioned titles IMO. Gameplay: This area is where I think it shined the strongest and where it's the most important since it is after all...a video game. This game can be challenging if you let it, especially if you play on the difficulty 'Give Me a Challenge' or higher, or even battle certain enemies and bosses early with "underleveled" equipment and stats. The controls of both the hack 'n' slash and axe throwing combat felt very smooth. The parry and dodge mechanic felt easy enough to perform, given you know the timing of your enemy's attacks. There may be a few that will argue that the hit detection of the axe throwing may be a little TOO good because I can recall numerous times where it looks like I should have missed my target but ended up hitting the enemy anyway, not that I'm complaining about it, as I'm sure many others aren't either. My only gripe (and not exactly a small one either) is with a certain move after consistently repeating heavy throwing my axe (aiming with L2 and pressing R2) and hitting the enemy. There is this awesome looking attack that involves just pressing the R2 button when you don't have your axe in hand where you jump in the air, call back the axe to your hand and simultaneously slam the ground creating a good amount of regular and frost damage close range, but leaves you wide open afterwards, especially if you miss. What I keep wrongly doing is forgetting to recall back my axe (with the triangle button) FIRST, before trying to aim and heavy throw the axe again, and instead I keep doing his 'jump and slam' move when pressing R2, thinking I'm going to be successful with this next heavy throw. I've died so many times during the optional bosses and overpowered enemies because of this that I wish I knew beforehand the amount of trouble this would have caused me so I wouldn't have paid the EXP to learn this move. Over time though I've learned to minimize this very mistake and eventually beat those optional bosses and overpowered enemies. As much of an annoyance this was, it is still a "minor" flaw in relation to the combat as a whole. Graphics: GOW has some beautiful sceneries to enjoy within the open world and linear maps it provides. I don't think it's as nearly beautiful and sharp as HZD's environments though, especially when HZD is 10x more open world and more detailed, including a wider variety of environments and the changing of climates depending on where you are on the map, letting you take in and experience more of the beauty that the game has to offer. While GOW is released on the PS4 as a AAA title AND that it is 2018, having such graphics seems to be more of the standard now and is expected. Sound: The music that played during the beginning of the game where Kratos was preparing to burn his deceased wife (Atreus's mother) sounded really touching and powerful. I just wish more of this kind of music played throughout the game but then again there was hardly any dramatic scenes that call for this kind of music it seems. I think GOW could have been a better experience by having music that sets the mood while playing the game (Travelling through Skellige on a boat as Geralt in The Witcher 3 with its harmonic sound was a great example of this type of experience), rather than having hardly any music at all throughout. The voice acting was well executed and was good enough to feel like I was experiencing a movie (which should be considered to be another AAA game industry standard in present times). Story/characters: This area is where I think this game performed the weakest. The story I thought was a tad bit above average and didn't move or impress me as much as the other games mentioned, especially compared to TLOU since it's been said frequently that this game was a lot like it...which I got very little feeling of and not as much as some people have put it. While both games had the whole "father and son/daughter relationship" pair undergoing long and dangerous journeys (Kratos and Atreus for GOW and Joel and Ellie for TLOU), the experience I had between the two still felt heavily different from each other. The scenery, realism, story, gameplay and emotional connection all differ from each other on different levels and in various ways. For some reason I didn't get that strong connection with Kratos like I did with Joel, or even with Atreus like I did with Ellie. With Kratos, I feel like I probably could have if I experienced and learned more about him through the previous games (and possibly even appreciate the story more). As for differences between Atreus and Ellie, one example is that there seems to be more sense of immaturity present (even though it was only for a little while) coming from Atreus than with Ellie (even though I don't remember ever getting that at all from her), but that's probably because he may be younger than Ellie (even after a quick Google search, I still couldn't find a clear cut answer for what his age is). What they both have strongly in common though is that they both learn how to grow and adapt to their environments, learning how to fight and survive, and at such a young age. The conclusion of GOW was pretty thrilling though, and I thought it was the best part of the game, but it still wasn't enough to outweigh what was lacking. Altogether it was a pretty fun game to play, it just didn't meet a good portion of my expectations, especially after seeing all the high positive remarks for this game, from TV ads and whatnot, coming from various known critics and the common gamer.

It's been a while since I have gotten a plat for a fighting game, and my PS4 is in need of some space, so I finally returned to UNIEST. The game is absolutely excellent, it has such an amazing system and it's just generally fun to play. I love the aesthetic of the game, it's still pretty anime but it has a certain vibe to it that I personally think is better than a lot of anime styled games. The plat can get pretty grindy, though: buying all the reqired items takes a lot of money, so when I was tired of playing the game I just set the computer to the highest setting and let it beat me up while I did other things. Other than that, it's a pretty easy plat to go for. Some of them may take a little bit of trial and error, but it's not bad at all!

Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #149 Bridge Constructor You're a Bridge Constructor Collect all trophies to unlock the platinum trophy. Let's get building! Started trying to do it, but quickly became impossible because I'm just really dumb apparently and don't know how to build a bridge to save my life. So ended up cheesing solutions when possible and using a guide for the tankers which required more finesse. Even then though, some of those solutions only worked some of the time. Why is that a thing? There should be no random chance in a game like this. Ran through the same build like 5 times until it finally got me through... it's the same thing. :/ I feel like they should have gradually introduced the player to different build structures, and uses for things. Rather than how they did it which was basically one build and then saying "triangles are strong" and then leaving it at that. Because I clearly couldn't pick it up naturally the way they introduced it. But maybe it's just me. lol The UI was kind of annoying and I never really got used to it. The game abruptly stops so it can cloudsync or load up a build image (not sure why it's pausing) so you can't actually move to the next level until that's done, you just have to sit and wait. Which was really annoying. If I were better at it, it would've been more fun, but I was only able to dumb my way through the first two islands before not being able to do anything. Played it on PS Now so I'm not out anything for it. And it helped me catch up on some streams.
Popular Post Memowlery
#26: The Evil Within 2 Learn to Survive Survived the nightmare, and everything in between. Oh man. I played both The Evil Within games the day they came out and liked them. For this Halloween I decided to replay them and collect some trophies and in the process I truly fell for them (and for Sebastian as well). Absolutely earned their place in my favorites! This one required a few playthroughs but didn't give me that much hard times. Classic mode is perfectly doable when you know what's what and after practicing it with playing on Nightmare first. Although the firewalk part made me growl until I decided to unload every damn bolt I had and could craft at the time... Anyhow the reward for beating it and avoiding fights everywhere was to collect every weapon in NG+ by popping every enemy's head with a damn Magnum and infinite ammo! Fun times. ? I knew it was a good decision to not leave the Classic playthrough trophy for the last!
Popular Post Conor
#10- KINGDOM HEARTS: BIRTH BY SLEEP FINAL MIX (PS3) Birth By Sleep Master Enjoyment: Single Run 9/10, Platinum Run 3/10 Difficulty: 5/10 Time Taken: 2 Weeks, 20 Hours, 49 Minutes (75 hours ingame time) Rarity: 1.5% Ultra Rare (PSN) / 6.61% Very Rare (PSNProfiles) Hardest Trophy: Critical Competitor (Gold)- Clear game on Critical The grind is real... Kingdom Hearts is a series very close to my, well, heart. I love it. I hate it. It stopped making sense a long time ago. The wait for the third mainline entry and various spinoffs, prequels, pseudo-sequels and interquels has been ridiculous. Yet I await it with great excitement. I have made it my mission to get all platinums in the series before Kingdom Hearts III drops in 11 weeks, both on PS3 and PS4... this is the worst idea I have ever had. In its own right, Birth By Sleep is a great game. I played it to death on the PSP so it was great to get the extra stuff in this Final Mix version. The tragic stories of Terra, Ventus and Aqua are poignant and enjoyable if not very well written, as is typical of the series. Because there are three separate campaigns and it is originally a portable game, the campaigns and worlds therein are smaller and shorter. I liked how the stories intertwined at various points and there were good dynamics between the characters even if they aren't especially well-developed. Since I never got to play the multiplayer Mirage Arena on the PSP, it was cool to finally get into it now. Also, fighting the optional superbosses was fun and challenging... the first time around. Herein lies the horror of this game's platinum requirements- you have to do the same stuff THREE DAMN TIMES. The combat stuff isn't so bad, but then there are the minigames. Of the Disney Town games, the Rumble Racing is fine but you have to do it all twice over- repeated in the Mirage Arena. The Fruitball is fine except for the final match and the rhythm-based Ice Cream Beat can be frustrating. But dear God, the damned Command Board. I hate it, it's one of my least favourite minigames ever implemented, and having to do it so many times was infuriating, since you have to do some of them outside of the Mirage Arena because some abilities can only be obtained by landing on a specific square of a particular board, which is not awarded if the board is completed in the Mirage Arena, but you still have to win seven boards in the Arena and have to win every single one for the platinum! I do not look forward to doing all of that again, and I'm not surprised that the Platinum is so rare. More common than Re:Chain of Memories but at least Birth By Sleep is a much better game. Now to go through the four games I've platinumed all over again on PS4, so I'mma waste no time in doing so! I will still be able to get some quick and easy plats done in between each one to keep me sane though! Popular Post fantrig99
#101 Hero of Resonail Congratulations on getting all the trophies! Grand Kingdom is a tactical role playing RPG developed by Monochrome Corporation. Being a new leader of a mercenary group with new recruits, the story follows their struggle in this world of warfare with the four large nations in the continent of Resonail as each side is seeking their own place and expand their nations power while involving a long historical conflict in between. The game is pretty fun with tactical based gameplay and plays well with the turn based battle system. There are many different varieties of interesting RPG classes available for hire as new unit of recruits. The two good classes that are recommended are Valkyries and Paladins. Different units can level up, learn different abilities, equip different weapons, armor, accessory slots, and pyroxenes to give good effects like master abilities faster or increase stats for the characters. The trophies are a grind. Aside from one main story trophy most of them involves completing miscellaneous tasks. The most tedious is the skill completionist where it requires getting all skills for one character. The rarest skill is the 'short sight' skill and it is very RNG based. Other skills require creating additional units of the same class and uses skill transfer to give them the skill it requires. I picked the Paladin and overspin is a good area of effect move. Other tasks involve creating a strong team in the post game to get bounties and defeat the high leveled enemies. I ended up with a team of four Paladins and quite a good team as a goal to achieve. Getting the golden baku as a random treasure is also quite RNG based. There is an online mode with 'war'. By choosing a nation you can fight other nation to defend or conquer their territories and achieve victory to raise the status. In the end, although it gets pretty grindy later on and RNG plays quite a factor with some task requirements the game is fun and I enjoyed its experience. I can recommend it for RPG fans with its fun gameplay and a unique RPG in my opinion. If there might be a sequel in the future I will be looking forward to it. Popular Post TheActualMeg4cy
#42 - Burly Men at Sea "Ye've Done It" It personally wasn't my kind of game (bit too clunky and slow, even for a 15-20 minute run per ending) but I can see the appeal in it. Definitely recommend anyone with a vita in particular to download and run through all the endings (12 of them BTW!) to get the platinum while you play something else on the PS4 even.
Popular Post Alegarz
Platinum #5 - Pox Nora Enjoyment - 0.01/10 This is by far the worst game I have ever played, both the game mechanics and controls are awful, for your own sanity don't play this! Difficulty - 10/10 First of all to win campaign games on this game is almost impossible, it will take ages to create your own winning techniques and to understand the game mechanics fully. However, if you've been playing this on PC since it's release then you may find it a little easier and quicker to complete. Finally, to win ranked games is even harder, as you're typically matched with people playing on PC who have been playing this game for years and are therefore amazing at it. 0.06% Ultra Rare
