Popular Post Pershing24
Well its been a while, but I didn't posted my last 4 Achievements before my gaming break. Well here they are in order... # 41 Life is strange: Before the Storm Bring on the Storm First up is this prequel to 2015 Life is Strange, which I though was a reject film script for the Sundance film festive that they turn it into a game instead. This one, as the title says, is a prequel set about 2 years before Max came to Arcadia bay, but this time you play as puck face hipster girl Chloe as she develops her relationship with Rachael. The games is ok, but it still feels really preachy as if its trying too hard to be appealing for millenniums, as its very simple (it is a point and click episodic game, you know what to expect) and it has all those subject like LGBT, drug/alcohol addiction, puppies, ghost dad, divorce, fight the power and all that kind of stuff, and also the slowest forest fire I've seen. Its a decent game, very simple platinum so I do recommended for beginners, but I was unable to get it as my fastest trophy. But at least they all lived happy ever after... Spoiler Well not really, if you played the last game you know what happens, so it doesn't really matter what you do, everyone gets screwed over! #42 Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Done Hellblade on the other hand is a much better and fascination game to play than Before the Storm. It may be a simple hack n'slash game, but at least it knows how to stand out from the crowd as it is both visually stunning and difficult. You play as Senua's a Picts warrior (predecessor of the Scottish Celtics, the one's with the blue face paint) who has to venture to Norway's Viking version of hell, called Hellheim to save her boyfriend soul from damnation. Of course this is easier said than done as there are Norsemen, Demons, and even the god of death Hela trying to kill you, but her biggest foe is her mental illness, as she is suffering from Psychosis which is why she constantly hears voices in her head. This game is both challenging and terrifying (especially if you got headsets) as there is no hub or health bar, enemies constantly spawn (especially in the blood river and the final encounter) and some of the level design are unclear or real nightmare fuel, but I do enjoy this. It been a while since I've played a game as unique as this, and the trophy list is really easy as you just need to beat the game and collect all Lorestone. My only complain is the game claims it has perma-death but that's kind of BS as it is unclear how many lives you got, but at least I've manage to beat this game in 14 hours, 14 minutes and 22 seconds, making it my fastest platinum. #43 A Little Help From My Friends Telltales Guardians of the Galaxy Well here we go again, another easy Tell Tale game, you all know what to expect, beat the game, finish all episodes and the platinum's yours. Well I was glad that there are no collectibles (unlike the Wolf Among Us), but it's still a pretty long game. 13 hours of game play, since each episode is about 2 or so hours long and the pacing is pretty slow, so it feels longer than it is. As for the story, while I wasn't surprise that it doesn't revolves around the MCU Guardians of the Galaxy, but that's all right as the characters and roughtly the same. It got some good ideas but it definitely could have been presented better, but as it is, its just ok. That's all I got to say, I'm not even disappointed that it won't get a sequel. #44 Master Assassin Assassin Creed Unity Mon Dieu! ce Jeu me donne le mal aux cue! Pardon my French, but this game was so much more painful to complete it than it should have been. Its not so much that the game is difficult, as there is no multiplayer and most of the trophies are straight forward. However, there are so many campaign missions, so many side missions, so many co-op mission that you have to do just to get a small percent of the game done until you realize that its the collectibles are make up most of the game. I've never seen so many packed in such a map, its insane, and of course i'll take alot of time to get them all. There are other annoyances like the fact that you have to find all Sync Points in the co-op missions to get all skill points for the I Got Skills Trophy, but this can be a nuisance when playing with others as they will get annoyed of you for wandering around and not focusing on the mission. Fortunately you can get most of them on private matches. Another finicky trophy is Curiosity as you have to find all chest in Paris, the problem is that even if you explore the whole city, chests won't appear until you progress further in the campaign/story, so you need to do alot of backtracking to find them all. But the thing that made this game so much longer than it took, was that I accidentally deleted my first save file of my profile last year, so the fact that I had to start over from scratch was extremely discouraging. Once I had the platinum, I quickly finish the Dead King DLC again, got all the trophies and traded this game away for Detroit Beyond Human, and hopefully never see this game again. Au revoir!

Popular Post blu3st4rdust305
Concentrated on clearing out a few short games from my backlog, figured I would just pile them into one post instead of littering this thread all weekend. Including thoughts on all of the games and showcasing the gems. FullBlast - PS4 (#126) Cute, little top-down shooter. Quick platinum, would be a decent bargain game for some very budget conscious gamers. Suicide Guy - PS4 (#127) Interesting concept of 25 or so ways to intentionally die. Ingenious premise for puzzles to solve. Controls are wonky for 1st person making some platforming bits unnecessarily challenging. Collectables are a pain without a guide. Old Man's Journey - PS4 (#128) Beautiful, touching game. Great puzzle mechanics of manipulating backgrounds and foregrounds to allow movement. Short and sweet experience. Trophies are mostly straight forward, even without a guide. Highly recommend this game for the point-and-click and narrative crowds. Tacoma - PS4 (#129) Another gem of a game here. Ingenious story-telling mechanic to put together the pieces like a murder mystery. It quickly pushes you to explore every nook and cranny to find all of the bits and pieces of the story. Puzzles are straight-forward as most answers are lying in plain sight. Its the story telling that is the center piece here. Another hearty recommendation. Devious Dungeon - PS4 (#130) Simple, repetitive rogue-lite platformer. Completely competent at its task, painless platinum. Super Destronaut DX - PS4 (#131) Galaga knock-off. Another simply, short platinum. Gorogoa - PS4 (#132) WOW. Blown away by the puzzle mechanics on this one. So beautiful and intriguing. Not a single word is used to explain the game and how to play it, but fiddling with depth and images to keep your guy moving toward his inevitable goal. It was so refreshing to play this game. The Long Reach - PS4 (#133) This would be the lone dud in this group. At least the short games are competent at their goal and did a decent job of presenting the gameplay. This one is a survival(?) horror game that makes little sense and progression is muddy at best. By the halfway mark, I certainly stopped caring about the story and which items I needed to find in random locations. A couple of scenes were heart-pounding, but otherwise very monotonous to me. Oh well... Lost Grimoires 2: Shard of Mystery - PS4 (#134) Another good hidden object puzzle game. Its a wonder how simple and engaging these games can be. Nothing stand out here, but still very fun to figure it out. Tetra's Escape - PS4 (#135) Cute, puzzle platformer. How to get from point A to point B with these obstacles and limitations. Simple, capable, short platinum Headlander - PS4 (#136) Platinum is also Trophy #4500 "Head Master" And now for the main event.... I saved this one for a milestone due to the platinum trophy design and name, and due to my enjoyment of the game. Super fun Metroidvania-lite gameplay. Awesome retro design mixed with a sci-fi setting. Combat can be a bit of a challenge, but there is no significant platforming difficulties here which sometimes permeate some games of this genre. Just play thru the game and enjoy the experience.

Popular Post Viper
#137 Dust: An Elysian TailMithrarin Definitely a gem on the indie scene. This game was a lot of fun. It had a couple of annoying parts like having to fight off 20 enemies at a time and worry about those mushroom things that spit red goo that hurts you, and there's no pattern to it at all. And the challenge arenas were unnecessary, but other than that it was a loy of fun. The dialogue was hilarious at times too, Fidget was such a great character. I do wish the combos could be even more fluent...there was a trophy for getting a 1000 Hit combo...but without the technique you find online to get it easily, you would seriously have to work for that...I would love if a combo that big was just a normal thing. I would be all over a sequel to this. Edited November 20, 2018 by Viper
Popular Post StiffTripple_X
Plat #30 Kingdom Hearts ReCom (PS3) Chain of Memories Master I spent about 180 hours trying to plat this game. Plating this got so incredibly boring since on the ps3 version you have to play each difficulty to get the difficulting trophies for both characters making it insanely repetitive. Also the level 99 trophies make you lose your mind with bordeom since even on the hardest difficulty you hit level 40 something by the end of the game with sora and level 30 something for Riku the rest after that is this long grind that takes about 10 hours each if you are using effective methods. On top of that you have to get every card in the game with sora including the enemy cards which just have a random chance of dropping. Overall I would rate this game 1/10 enjoyability for plat. If the plat is not considered I would rate this game about a 7/10 because the story is interesting plus you get to play as Riku which is a plus.

Popular Post Ala-Arska
Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas (PS Vita) Platinum Get all other Trophies You are the weakest Link, goodbye! A game by a bunch of Finnish dudes, music by Nobuo Uematsu, a Zelda-like adventure? WEEEEEE I played Oceanhorn when it came to PS4, and I loved the simplicity of it. This Vita version was news to me, and I just had to get it. There's so much Legend of Zelda action going on, it's borderline rip off. I'm surprised no one got sued over this But taking from classics does show in a form of a very decent outing. There's exploration, but rather than being one huge sandbox the world is divided into small islands with nooks and crannies begging to be searched. It's highly addictive and fun, getting a 100% check on every reef, island and ruin. This is how it's supposed to feel, instead of a chore. Nice! Music is well done, although not flawless. There are touching melodies and catchy tunes, but nothing ear wormy around. But Nobuo Uematsu's music is like pizza: when it's good, it's really f**king good. And when it's bad...it's still pretty darn good Gameplay is simple and effective. Hack, slash, use shield, toss a spell or two, grab Master Key and dungeon item, beat bosses, conquer. So much Zelda... I just loved the overall feel of it all. Unlike many overbloated games today, Oceanhorn made me remember the small packed world, like in A Link's Awakening. When there's not too much stuff to grasp at once, one focuses more on the few that are available. One chest at a time, no passing on the line! O: MoUS is a definite "yes!" to all those numerous Link and Zelda fans, who want those adventures...with trophies!
Popular Post Z-Yux
Platinum #51: Spyro The Dragon Platinum Difficulty: 2/10 Time To Platinum: ~10 Hours Enjoyment: 9/10 Platinum #52: Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage Platinum Difficulty: 2/10 Time To Platinum: ~10 Hours Enjoyment: 9/10 Platinum #53: Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon Platinum Difficulty: 3/10 Time To Platinum: ~10 Hours Enjoyment: 9/10 Just chiming in like a lot of others as of late for the Spyro trilogy. As a whole, all three of these games were a blast to play. I played Spyro (especially 2 and 3) when I was younger and when I heard of the remasters, then I was simply thrilled. They play great, control great, and look great at that. In terms of the platinums, these three games really are not that difficult. I find it odd that Spyro 3 does not require a 117% completion for all the trophies, but it is what it is. Hopefully, these remasters may pave the way for a new Spyro game in the future.
Popular Post Zangril
#60 Marvel's Spider-Man Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 10/10Rarity: 51.31% (Common) A super fun game with a super easy platinum. Will get the DLC some point down the line when it's out available. #61 Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain Of Memories Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 8/10Rarity: 8.14% (Very Rare) Another platinum down in my quest to get every platinum before KHIII comes out. I'm disappointed they never expanded on the systems in this game. I loved the card aspect of the game and would have loved for them to make a whole new game with an improved version of this system. There was nothing hard about this platinum since you can use RNG manipulation to get the enemy cards you need super easy. The only troubling thing was leveling Riku to level 99. I felt like dying after grinding that one out lol. #62 Kingdom Hearts II Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 10/10Rarity: 12.58% (Rare) One more down in the quest for all KH platinums. The best KH game so far. The only problem I had was the LW fight on critical, but after finding out how to cheese him it was no problem at all. #63 Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Difficulty: 6/10 Enjoyment: 9/10Rarity: 6.69% (Very Rare) One of the last 2 KH games is finally finished. Having to 100% the game with all 3 characters was a drag and started to get tedious after a while. But above all this game has the honor of having some of the most BS, unfair, poorly designed, and aggravating super bosses I've seen in a while. They are just so unfair that you can't even play the game against them. You have to cheese and spam them and hope you get lucky. The less said about the Mysterious Figure fight the better.... Though on the upside there's just one more KH platinum to go. But I think I will hold off on it for a week or so. I'm burned out on KH games and need to take a break.

Popular Post Angel
Valkyria Chronicles Remastered The love that I have for this beautiful game is still going strong after all these years. The heartfelt story (that scene with a specific character still tears me up), the addictive strategy turn based gameplay, it's colorful array of characters, and the game's scenery of an artwork in motion is what made me fall in love with it in the first place. I'm so happy that I finally got to play and be lost in it once again! Platinum wise; having already experience playing the game before, I knew what to expect so it was straightforward (although there are a few challenging chapters) with not much of a grind due to the added DLC. I definitely recommend it to anyone who has not tried it and has been interested. Thank you for your time and best wishes on your next platinum.

Popular Post Viper
#138 Dishonored: Definitive EditionPlatinum Blades and Dark Corners In many ways, I loved this game...it was so dynamic and visceral...it's really not what I was expecting (which was just a very linear stealth game). But there were many headaches getting through this...mostly with the low chaos stealth sections, just the sheer number of times I had to redo certain parts and do the exact same thing over and over to get it right was mind numbing, and there were a few trophies that really set me off. But through all that I could still see the games brilliance shine through and overall it was a worthwhile experience. I also completed the 2 story DLC's. By the time I finished those I was kind of over the game...after 2 playthroughs of the main game, 3 for the Knife of Dunwall, and 2 for The Brigmore Witches, I was ready to move on...so I'm not even going to touch the Dunwall City Trials, especially since they're significantly harder than the whole rest of the game. I have Dishonored 2 waiting for me when I'm ready. Edited November 21, 2018 by Viper
Popular Post Venocide
#152 Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Birth by Sleep Master Obtain all trophies. 6.69% VERY RARE Looks like I'm not the only one trying to plat all Kingdom Heart games before III haha. Only Dream Drop Distance left and I'll have all the Kingdom Heart platinums. That was easily the hardest Kingdom Hearts platinum I've ever achieved, some of the boss battles are no joke. People said that the hardest KH boss is in BBS, and they were absolutely right. The Mysterious Figure took me about 8hrs to beat, he's not as hard with Ventus and Aqua but as Terra, he took so much longer because his air dash sucks so dodging MF's attacks was difficult. Still, I had a blast playing through it. Critical mode was easy, just get exp walker asap, rubber band your controller for an hour or two and you'll beat the game with ease. Shotlock is so broken, I abused the hell out of that. The Ice Cream Beat minigame also proved challenging at first, I eventually memorised the beats and was able to get a Fantastic rating in no time at all. I still can't quite believe that this came out on the PSP, they must have been pushing that hardware to limit and beyond. #153 Spyro the Dragon Gnasty's Demise Collect all Spyro the Dragon Trophies 43.39% UNCOMMON Very easy platinum, great nostagia trip. Popular Post Razzee-P
The mini-game I expected to have a lot of trouble with was Golf, but I did -6 on my first attempt. Pool and Batting Cages with paper trick and piece of tape as crosshair were not very hard. I finished the game just about time, since my PS3 is showing more problems (textures not loading, taking long to save, freezing).
Popular Post Phlegeth
Seeing all these Birth by Sleep plats makes me want to go back and finish it. #23 I didn't have to 100% the game for this plat, but I did it anyway. Even got 17% more. Having only played a little of Spyro 1 back in the day it was great going back and seeing all these games through. Spyro 2 is my favorite. It was tuned near perfectly. It took everything right with the first game and upped the ante. Year of the Dragon just had too much stuff going on. I liked the Spyro segments the best and I hated the Byrd levels. The camera kept messing up when I was playing with him. The Year of the Dragon ending(s) were cute and a great way to send of the trilogy.
