It was and still is a fantastic shooter to date. I played a ton of it on the Xbox 360 and had so many fond memories of it, so i decided to go for it on PS3. I must say the EU servers are terrible i had to piggy back off friends and just add random players i encountered because getting into games could take up to 20 minutes just because the matchmaking does not really work too well but seems to work sometimes its a bit random. The campaign is fantastic a good mix of stealth and guns blazing which i like. If you have the time to commit to this shooter i would highly recommend it, such a shame the reboot never took off because every part of the game just works the gunplay, the stealth and the game is quite forgiving. Tier 1 Mode this was horrible the game itself was fair but annoying i have played alot of shooters but this was just a pain in my ass. You have one life to get through the level with the enemy AI set to hard. Its a ball buster because Hard Mode was not even that hard, but this was annoying. Repetition is your friend you just need to constantly analyse what the AI is doing and remember it then act on it accordingly. Otherwise pretty happy now i am off to ruin my completion rate even more

Popular Post Cave Johnson
Demon's Souls (EU) Toughest Soul Trophy All Trophies Obtained I can't believe how lucky I got this time. The first crystal lizard I killed in 4-2 dropped pure darkmoonstone, and the first one I killed in 3-2 dropped pure moonlightstone. Not only that, but it took 48 attempts to get pure bladestone. That's immensely faster than last time, which took about 160 kills of that goddamn black skeleton. Also, my final in-game time was 15:27. Far from speedrun time, but that's much faster than my first two times platinuming it. If Demon's Souls gets remastered, I'll gladly play it again. Even if it doesn't, I'm sure I'll be replaying it at some point. It's one of my absolute favorite games, and second only to the first Dark Souls (a very close second) as my favorite Souls game.

Popular Post fantrig99
#102 KIWAMI Obtained all trophies Yakuza Kiwami is a remake of the first game in the long running Yakuza series developed by Sega. An action adventure game with RPG elements, the game focuses on Kazuma Kiryu of his trials and life stories in the world of the yakuza. The game takes place in the city of Kamurocho, a fictional district based on somewhere in Tokyo. Gameplay involves exploring the city with mainly street brawling, going to places like restaurants, and playing different minigames in this open world setting. The trophies requires completing the story, getting through the minigames, fulfilling requests for the people in the city, and completing trials being climax battles. When it comes to minigames, Mahjong comes to mind that it has quite a learning curve but it gets interesting after a while. Bowling is quite fun though I struggled with aiming, pool is quite skill based and fun to play, Karaoke have some pretty good music and other activities available. Climax battles are post game challenges to give additional battle scenario for gameplay and they get pretty difficult with some restricted requirements. I enjoyed this game and the tale of trust and betrayal in this underground syndicate world of yakuza. Looking forward to other games from the series and experience more stories and the path of Kazuma Kiryu in the future. Popular Post Asvinia
#37. Spyro the Dragon Loved every moment of it, though I'm not sure I ever realised just how short it is or how small the levels are. So much nostalgia here with only a couple of minor gripes. The new gliding took a while to get used to, in the old game, he would go straight from a jump to a glide, now he does a little dip/swoop thing that loses you quite a bit of air, it makes gliding a lot more unreliable than it was or probably should be. I'm not sure that I liked that they turned Twilight Harbor from what was obviously a weapons factory, into a paint factory, but whatever I guess. The environments were beautiful, the soundtrack was beautiful, but I found I wasn't able to switch between the original and the remaster for some reason. They really did a marvelous job with this remake, it's a shame about Activision. I really enjoyed Spyro's movements and his little bounce/run thing. It really does the original games justice. One thing I found odd though, and maybe it's nostalgia and bias talking, but enemies and dragons seemed to have less 'personality' than before. They made each dragon different, which is cool, but.. I don't know. The dragon in Dark Hollow that said the little gnorcs wouldn't bother him was because he was a big, strong dragon. In this, he's just reading a book, that little thing doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Enemies don't look so cute or 'naughty', they just look like generic mobs. I don't know, maybe it is my bias, but this seems to be a case of less is more. Perhaps because of the reduced graphics, we have to imagine a lot of the expression on the characters, with much more advanced graphics, the expression and personality is done for you. Either way, the game is awesome and I can see myself replaying it again like I do the originals every now and then. Onto Spyro 2! Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
The latest platinum trophies, Nos. 95, 96 & 97. The Jak & Daxter trilogy on the PS4. Since the trophy is the same for the three games, I put only this one with the Precursor orb: ? Jak & Daxter: the Precurso Legacy / Jak II: Renegade / Jak 3 Top of the heap / Done done done / Fait accompli Jak & Daxter: the Precurso Legacy I know that it's strange, but I didn't start the trilogy with this one, since I played Jak 2 ➡️ Jak 3 and, after a year, Jak & Daxter... And I was completely disappointed. It was different from the others, too simple, and I quitted (more or less in the second town, just after the Precursor lake). I know what you can think and what you can say (and what I could say to my old 12 years old myself), but, when I played the PS3 remaster, I completely changed my mind and it became one of my favourite. It's a simple platform game, fun and with a lot of quotations of Crash Bandicoot, like the carnivorous plant in the sage house at the beginning of the game. And in this game (and in the other two) there is the day and night cycle, which was really amazing for a kid. This was an amazing feature that I saw only in Pokemon Silver and Gold on the GBA. I now it could be a stupid thing, but long time ago I thought it was something revolutionary (even with the astronomical meaning...), and maybe I had no experience about the games. But, when I think about this trilogy, this is the first thing it comes into my mind. Unfortunately, the PS3 version has the missing timestamp (it should be the 10th platinum, but, since they are messed up with the timestamps, I got lucky and there is the PS3 Birth by Sleep, one of the best trophy image, according to me. ? And I know the order because I wrote down an excel file with all the trophies up to the 752nd trophy. Now that file is useless because the other trophies have the timestamps, and there is the useful trophy log of this site). Anyway, I've got a project about replaying the games with the missing timestamps (like this one and Jak II) in order to have an "official" version. And I'm still waiting for a Rayman Origins PS4 porting... ? Jak II: Renegade I still don't understand why the developers changed completely the mood of the previous game. I mean, I liked how Jak changed (and finally he could talk...) and the plot became darker and more serious, but the game suffers the lost of the platform section (they are still present, but they were reduced). And you are always chased. Every single moment. Ok, I'm not able to drive that flying vehicles and I hit a guard every five seconds, "It's the criminal, capture him!" "Oh, damn it! Again?". Seriously, it's worse than Outlast II. ? Despite all these changes it's a game with a good plot which will be further developed in the final entry. And the Daxter's dialogues are delirious, and this is one of the few games with an Italian dubbing really well done (especially Daxter). But this version has some bugs, like the shock wave of the final boss, which became a bubble covering all the TV screen, but it's only a wave on the ground, so you just need to jump. In the end, my favourite part? The Mountain (of course), when you have to find the three Precursor artifacts. ? Jak 3 This is just an evolution of the previuos game. More weapons (12 instead of 4! And I really like the reflecting shots, whatever is their name), more powers (together with the dark powers now there are also the light powers) and more vehicles. But I think that driving in the desert is an ugly experience: as soon as you start turning you lose the control of the vehicle. I don't think the sand physics is so atrocious... ? Even this version has some bugs, like the missing loading of the city part: once I was going toward the resistance HQ and I found an black abyss (where previously there was a barrier which I destroyed with a bomb bot). I stopped, I looked and I went forward... And I falled down, dying ? And I think there is also a translation mistake, since Daxter talks about his statue and his face with this word: mug, but usually it is translated in Italian with its first meaning, cup (tazza), and not with face (faccia). And you can understand how it's hilarious... Once you destroy Daxter statue with a missile, and Daxter says "On no, my cup!" (cup?! ) I remember I found this mistake also in the Crash Bandicoot PS1 booklet about the mugs (or faces) used for the bonus levels: "pick up three mugs" ("raccogli tre tazze"), and I was looking everywhere in the levels for these mugs/cups. Well, it wasn't my fault, I was a kid and the translators made this mistake... In the end, it was really fun playing (again) all the three games. I wonder why Sony didn't add the last game, The Lost Frontier, since I've never played this one. And I know nothing about the last one of the bundle, the racing Jak X. Is there anyone who played this one? Is it good? Edited December 16, 2018 by Phoenix_argentea

Well, if you want to read my full thoughts, you can click here. But I really enjoyed this one, and am glad I picked it up on Black Friday. Even if the Comrades trophies never truly will be unobtainable. I will say that The Royal Edition adds quite a bit, though, and I can kind of imagine early adopters' disappointment. Popular Post Desmuria
#130 - Kingmaker: Rise to the Throne Platinum Unlock every Trophy. Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Ahhh! It's good to be back and posting new platinums again. All my spare time has been consumed by Assassin's Creed Odyssey, so this was a welcome break. I absolutely LOVE Artifex Mundi games! Although this one was a little dull in comparison to their other titles, I found it challenging enough to keep me engaged. The trophy "Fast and Fierce" (finish a Hidden Object Puzzle in less than 20 seconds) was a bit of a nightmare. I'm not even ashamed to admit that I fudged it by smashing on casual mode during the Bonus Chapter. The storyline was a little boring, despite starting off strongly. It was all very predictable. Not my favourite, but still better than Enigmatis (in my opinion).

This was my first VN and thanks to DamagingRob, he pushed me to try it out after being free on PS Plus and I can't say I have any regrets besides losing track of time by accident as I kept reading and reading to know what happens next!! My words won't do it justice. It's one of those games where you just have to experience and the overall overwhelming sensation of emotions experienced from reading this will make you remember it for a while. Popular Post Dr_Mayus
It has been awhile since I posted in here. Funny enough the last time I did a bunch of plats in a row...it was when I platted De Blob 2 (so this seems fitting) #236-OKAGE: SHADOW KING I always wanted to play this game back on the PS2 so I am happy I finally got a chance to play it This was one of those games that I really just enjoyed the characters and the story. The gameplay was pretty basic but the game's atmosphere made up for it. If I had to throw a complaint in it would be I felt that you started earning all these characters at the end that end up not mattering. They were all Demon Kings and you just kept getting them and I never got invested in them as I did with the earlier characters. It just felt really rushed at the end and that was a shame That aside this is a very fun RPG and I recommend playing it. #237-Until Dawn I played this as I needed a U for the Spelling Bee I saw this game back in 2012 at my last Playstation conference in Vegas. The director of the game got up before all the Playstation Reps and wanted to show us the "Move game for adults" (this was when Until Dawn was still going to be on the PS3). The scene we saw was the cabin sex scene where you are making out on the couch. He got to the part when you had to hold the T button and bring the move down to unzip the girls dress and before he did he turned to us and winked. I remember rolling my eyes at him and the game. During lunch we were talking about some of the games we had seen and a couple of reps were talking about Until Dawn and how it is going to "save the Move" and I responded with "that game will never come out". Well it didn't save the move...but I was wrong because it actually came out..like 4 years later and on a different system that wasn't even announced at the time. Anyways that story aside what did I think of the game? Well I remember rolling my eyes throughout most of it and wishing that every character would shut the fuck up and die already. The game had some cool, creepy moments but the characters were so unlikable and the plot was so 90s/00s slasher film quality that I couldn't say I enjoyed it. That being said while I hated the characters and the plot...I was weirdly invested in the game that I wanted to keep playing. I don't think that has ever happened before in a game but in the end I just want to see what happened next...while hating it. Kind of like my experience with the show True Blood (but that is a rant for another day). #238-YOKU'S ISLAND EXPRESS So I played this because I needed a Y to spell MAYUS for the Spelling Bee. It is a Metroidvania game that is also a pinball game. It actually worked better than it sounds. The game was good BUT it had some downfalls. The big one is there were WAY too many collectibles that had no bearing on the game and a map system that made it very frustrating to get around. The game had some cool bosses, very colourful, a great soundtrack, and was a pretty good experience...just those collectibles made the whole thing seem like a chore at the end. #239-Sound Shapes (PS4) I wasn't going to do this again but with the servers closing down I thought "what the hell I am going to plat this legit again". Honestly I forgot how good the platforming is in this game. The music makes it so much fun to play through the levels and the Beck world especially is really fucking good. Also I forgot how much bullshit Death Mode is. I beat about half of it and finally said "fuck it, cross save". I really couldn't be bothered doing it again after I remember how stupid Death Mode really was. #240-FULL THROTTLE REMASTERED This was not as good as Grim Fandango or Day of the Tentacle. I just found the story to be kind of blah. I mean it was still good but seriously the main motivation is the guy was going to replace motorcycles with minivans...that is kind of funny but just really stupid. It also felt like everything in this game was separate ideas that had to keep being tied back to the plot. Honestly the story reminds me a lot of Psychonauts (which I am still playing now) where it is an interesting premise but you keep getting all of these other stories that detract from the main one. I don't know...just not really my cup of tea. #241-ZERO TIME DILEMMA Much like Full Throttle this was a step down from its predecessors. I still liked the game UNTIL THE ENDING. Not going to spoil it but seriously the reveal (you know what I am talking about) came out of fucking nowhere and doesn't make any sense. Spoiler Why was Q never shown on camera, why did they not question why there was 4 people on their team and that Sean was never brought up when they announced the participants? I liked the rest of it and I enjoyed how it weaved into VLRs story but that ending was just so stupid. The Escape Rooms were good though #243-BURLY MEN AT SEA Like many on this site I got this game free from Plus and it was a charming little tale for what it was. This is a very easy platinum (even without a guide) but it is worth a playthrough (especially since it was free). #244-SAINTS ROW IV: RE-ELECTED I love this series so much I mean a trophy even glitched on me making me replay the whole game again and it barely bothered me. I have written many Saints Row Recent Plat posts (this would be my 5th) and every time it is just "this is how a game should be...FUN" I mean you are playing as a character that is just having fun...and what a shocker fun characters are fun to play as. Seriously I am so sick of brooding characters that hate life and are angry all the time. The Saints know they are awesome and badass...so their actions are made up of being awesome and badass. So yeah I don't want to go on and on about SR again so it boils down to funny characters, a tightly constructed world that isn't just full of empty space, MINI GAMES THAT ARE ACTUALLY FUN AND NOT A FUCKING CHORE, great voice acting, fun customization, and riding a motherf@cking T-Rex (spoilers). #242 and 245-Word Sudoku by POWGI I bought this because I wanted a game to play on the plane when I went to visit my sister over Halloween and the fact that it came with 2 platinums was a nice bonus that I didn't know I was getting at the time As for a Sudoku game...it does the job I guess...but it is missing a key feature of Sudoku and that is being able to pencil in potential numbers into squares to look for patterns. Brain Age by Nintendo had this so there is no reason it can't be here as well. The nice thing POWGI had over Brain Age is the ability to select the letter you want instead of having to draw it in and the stupid Professor thinking your 7 is a 1...5...2...4...?...7. Fuck that was annoying Anyways these are very easy plats and if you want some sudokus they work but so does a Puzzle book. #246-De Blob Seriously stick with the sequel if you haven't played the series. This game was noticeably worse than the sequel...or maybe I am just remembering it differently. The controls were just wonky and I blame it mostly on this being a Wii exclusive when it came out. The Wii had that problem where because Nintendo fucked up the controller so badly most games used the same button for everything so you got shitty controls. Some of the biggest problems were you sticking to walls making jumping up on things annoying, the camera freaking out so you kept rolling into things you couldn't see, targeting being a real bitch to get down and the stupid reliance on Lives and a Timer. Most of this could have been fixed if the Wii had more buttons to control all this stuff and Nintendo wasn't so obsessed with Lives and Timers because they think it is still the early 90s. The game itself was pretty repetitive and you were forced to play every level at least twice and in some cases more because the time trials were a little tricky in some parts. Once again this was made more annoying than it needed to be because every level has a timer counting down...but that is different than the time you have to beat. Also you can't see what medals you have earned on levels so you have to exit the world map, go to extras, go to awards and slowly make your way over to the level you want to see what you want to do. ALSO it doesn't tell you what time you have to beat so you have no idea until after you beat the level. All in all it is a very colourful game (which is always welcomed) but it isn't a very good platformers.
Popular Post Omelette Paradise
#247 Noir Chronicles: City of Crime Back to having a full set of Artifex Mundi platinums once again It takes place in the real world and by that I mean it marks a departure from the normal setting of magical worlds and fantasy. You're cast in the role of a detective named Alfred Fox who investigates the murder of his former flame Barbara Le Purr (Yes that's actually her name ). This involves travelling from location to location and talking to various NPC's as well as searching environments to gather clues. As ever, the bread and butter of these Artifex Mundi titles are the mini games and the hidden object puzzles you must solve in order to gain items that enable Alfred to move forward with his quest and there are plenty of them as always. The change of setting and the premise of the story made for a breath of fresh air for me so I'm hoping for more of the same from the developers in the future as the story was also easier to follow and kept me guessing.
