I just didn't know how frustrating it would be to not only get the platinum, but almost all of the dlc as well (just missing 1 trophy for 100%).
Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#332 - Senran Kagura Estival Versus Fun game with great music. The story is nonsense, but the gameplay is solid. A lot of characters to play as, all having a different combat style. Was a tad easier than the first game overall. What I came across though was a bug that crashes the game guaranteed. Whenever you use the ultimate attacl and happen to defeat 3 "bosses" at the same time, the game will crash. Popular Post Carol
#144 Spyro the Dragon Gnasty's Demise Collect all Spyro the Dragon Trophies This was my first time playing Spyro. I knew how loved this character and this trilogy were, so the Reignited Trilogy gave me the chance to try them. I totally understand why Spyro is in the hearts of so many people. What's not to like, after all? This game is so colourful and the gameplay is so enjoyable and fun! The Reignited Trilogy is truly a wonderful remake! Considering it was my first time playing Spyro, the game was also decently challenging. The filght levels and the Tree Tops level scared me at first, but I ended up enjoying the challenge a lot and I felt pretty proud when I finally completed them. Gathering all the collectibles and getting the 120% was also very fun. I'm looking forward to playing the other two games in the trilogy! #145 The World of Nubla Plantinium You have been awarded the platinum trophy. This game is currently free for PS Plus subscribers on the Portuguese and Spanish PS Stores. Between us, trophy hunters, it's almost just infamously known as an EZPZ platinum. It is, in fact, an easy and fast platinum, but I think the game had its qualities and its charm, especially considering that, as far as I understood, it was made by students. It's worth trying, since I thought it has its beauty.

Popular Post eigen-space
Platinum #68 - Lili: Child of Geos (NA) Master Botanist, 69.39% Rarity Difficult - 1.5/10 , Time Spent - ~5 Hours , Enjoyment 6.5/10 Lili: Child of Geos is a game that follows around the character Lili, a student of botany. She is sent to the island to collect rare flower samples for her research when she discovers a bit of a struggle between the two island inhabitants: Constructs and Spirits. Constructs are basically sentient wooden robots that are required to do tasks for the cruel Spirits, and if they disobey they get deconstructed. At first, Lili attempts to stay out of the island's way of life, but finds that she needs to insert herself into the Constructs' struggle to be able to complete her research. Overall this game was rather fun. The characters were all unique and had fun character cards profiles to read in the menu, the music was cheery and fit the overall ambiance of the game, the graphics were decent, there were no game play glitches or flaws that I ran into, and the trophy list was relatively straight forward (albeit with a small grind at the end). The game mainly has you "pruning" Spirits, who hoard the floral specimens that Lili is searching for, which kind of feels like one of those whack-a-mole type games. There are also some small fetch side quests that you complete for the constructs. Though the game does not have a lot to offer, it remains short enough to not become very repetitive or boring.

I have always liked music games, and this one was no exception, with the music being good/avarage. I have only played Persona 5 before, so i havent really heard the music or knew the characters really well, but getting to know the SEES cast was a good time. I especially like Fuuka. Overall, i think the game was fun and worth it, but i wouldnt pay full MSRP for it. Not enough songs to justify it. Wait for a sale, or get the Dancing Collection with P4 and P5 like i did.

Popular Post Cave Johnson
Persona 4: Dancing All Night Dancing All Night Obtained all trophies At first, I couldn't remember why I didn't play this more when it came out. I love rhythm games and often play them long after getting the platinum. However, I shelved this game almost immediately after getting the platinum the first time. It only took about three songs for it all to come back — the music sucks. Before the torches and pitchforks come out, allow me to clarify; the songs themselves are fine, but most of the remixes are shit. It seems many of them follow the same template: strip out everything that makes the song good, add in some unnecessary drum machine sounding bullshit, and throw some awful effects on the vocals. Fucking brilliant, really. The "Snowflakes" remix is pretty good though; I'll give them that one at least. Anyway, enough ranting, let me think of the positives... well, the story is decent, and the gameplay is fun. I'd rather talk about Persona 5 Dancing instead, since it's basically everything this game should've been. Moving on: Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight Dancing in Starlight Obtained all trophies. When I only had a few trophies left, I noticed that I was close to 5,000. This is actually another reason why I platinumed P4: DAN again, but I'll get back to that in a moment. Due to a lack of planning and/or awareness, I had nothing lined up. I needed 56 more trophies, which would've taken a lot longer had I got them from some of the other games I've played recently. It was then that I remembered P4: DAN — not only was it 40 easy trophies, but I also wanted to play it again anyway. It was perfect (except for the disappointment I felt when I remembered why I didn't play it that much in the first place...). Once again, I got the platinum and shelved the game soon after. Figuratively rather than literally this time, since it's digital. Didn't I say I was going to talk about P5D? Oh, right. I prefer Persona 5 to 4 in almost every way, so it's hard not to be biased when talking about the spin-offs. Even so, had the roles been reversed, I doubt I'd prefer P5D. Yes, the remixes really ruin the game that much for me. Moving on, P5D fixes the biggest problem I had with P4D. The songs are kept intact, and not butchered by atrocious remixes. There are remixes, but the original versions of those songs are also in the game (except for a few). It's not entirely accurate to say there is no story. There's nothing like the story mode in P4D, however. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, though. Instead, it has been replaced by social events. There are eight for each character, and it takes quite a while to unlock and view them all. There isn't much to say about the trophies; much like P4D, they're incredibly easy for a rhythm game. There's no real grind to speak of, either. Anyway, I still haven't played Persona 3, so I won't be playing the spin-off anytime soon.

Popular Post Omelette Paradise
#248 Uncharted 2: Among Thieves I don't think there's anything I can say about this great game that hasn't already been said. It sits alongside The Last of Us as being the greatest PS3 game ever made. I originally played through it on an old account from before I cared about trophies and went back to it whilst playing through The Nathan Drake Collection on PS4 whilst also grabbing all the platinum trophies. I decided recently that I wanted a full set of Uncharted platinums and so went back to pick up PS3 copies of the second and third game. The only downside to playing through it on PS3 is aiming/shooting with / which feels awkward and clumsy but don't get me wrong that's not a slight on the game itself, it's a throwback to the time period it originally released. Not sure if there's anything else I can really add other than that. The best Uncharted game ever made and it narrowly edges out Uncharted 4 for me but not by much! On to Uncharted 3!

Popular Post Nostalgy_Flow
#59: Rogue Legacy A sort of Metroidvania with roguelike elements (permadeath and randomly generated map) unique in its style. Initially it's very hard with the player, you die really easily, but attempt after attempt you get used and you start to understand how everything works. It's very particular that in order to upgrade yourself it's necessary to die, as all the gold collected during a run can only be used after death. Dying is an integral part of the game, therefore. Medium platinum, at the end the only difficult things are the remixed bosses (enhanced versions of the standard bosses), but nothing exaggerated with a little practice. The trophy "Thanatophobia" (WITHOUT using the Architect, complete the game dying 15 times or less) is actually simplified with the clown minigame exploit to grind gold and with regular backups of the save. In this way it's really doable. I've grinded about 50k gold with the clown, I recommend to unlock and always use the Shinobi/Hokage (best class of the game, IMO) and to upgrade only the health and attack, and absolutely get the double jump and the dash. You don't need anything else. The only bosses who gave me problems were Herodotus and the final boss, but I've beat them with a little insistence. Really a little gem, I recommend it to everyone! Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #156 Hotel Transylvania 3: Monsters Overboard Bleh, bleh, bleh! Congratulations! You've done all there is to do in Hotel Transylvania 3: Monsters Overboard! Another PS Now game... found out during starting Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion that the same publisher did Ben 10. And low and behold, once again the same publisher. The same developer of Ben 10 worked on this one. Both have a "Big Head" cheat after you find all the treasures/cards in their respective games. So that's interesting. The publisher also released that Paw Patrol game, but it's not on PS Now which makes me sad because I want it, just not at the price it launched at. (they also published that Crayola Scoot game which I know nothing about) I quite like these guys though, they put out 3 solid games. Not great, but there's potential there... anyway, on to this one. edit; oh wait, I forgot. The first load screen I got made me happy, since it said there are no missables and that you can play at your own pace. Yes please. So while after hitting 'start' there's a bad impression, that was nice. I even tweeted out about that. Missables are such a fun killer. Nothing ruins a game more than needing to follow a guide. /edit It starts off on a bad foot, there's an intro "cutscene" and it's a bunch of static images that aren't even that great to look at. With jarring cuts between them. But after that it's ingame cutscenes of the character models just standing around jabbering, which is fine. I don't expect a lot from a licensed game from a 3rd movie in a franchise like this... although Toy Story 3 is still one of the best licensed games out there [go play it]. Gameplay is like Pikmin. It works okay, but the minions often get stuck on the environment. Near the end of the game I had a lot of problems with that since I had 30 of the buggers trailing me. I even had the flying ones get stuck on nothing so I had to throw them over the plate that all the walking minions could go over just fine. And I had to back track to get more of the mummy's since they're the only ones who can bounce and create bridges of sand to progress. Previously I had to bounce them at an enemy that creates a scent that prevents you from progressing with the werewolf minions and generally leads them to a pit to die. Well every single mummy decided after killing the flower to just fling themselves into the sea and die instantly. Ugh... I actually found 7 of each more manageable for some odd reason. Not sure why 2 more would create a problem, but it did. controls mixed with the camera can be a bit wonky. But the main issue with the game is the recall, and it just not registering well. Unlike Pikmin which has responsive controls. I think that's why when you recall your minions get a shield, because you can't rely on it to register. I'd be holding the recall whistle a good few seconds and they still wouldn't stop attacking and come to me. This happens the most when they end up behind the enemy. They walk into the enemy and start fighting automatically. Speaking of this, there's no way to direct the horde other than to go forward to attack with the entire group. Which is dumb. In Pikmin you could sweep the group around with the c-stick. Given the overhead camera they could've fixed it instead of having it rotate at all and gave you this. And when you do the all out attack, if there are gems in the way (or chests; gems drop from every enemy) the minions will pick up the gems and follow you around instead of attack. Wonky. Music wasn't that great. I'm not sure if the actors were the movie actors, I haven't seen the movies at all. I doubt it given the seemingly low budget for this. But the game doesn't overstay it's welcome, there are some clever puzzle designs that aren't too annoying. The level design is a bit confusing at times with no real landmarks to help you through but it's not so bad you get totally lost either. It's just not as intuitive as it could be. The treasures are super easy to find without a guide, and as you get more of them you get bonuses like more attack for certain minions, more minions, treasures on the map - almost forgot there's no map while in the game itself, only in the level select which is really weird - and things like that. After you get the attack one there's pretty much nothing any enemy can do against your minions attacking them. And the game ends on another janky static image scenes with a really low framerate transition from one image to another. But I had fun with it, and there aren't enough games like Pikmin out there. So it's nice to have a okay one. edit; makes me laugh that boat is the trophy card image that the site uses. Popular Post FarSideOfSaturn
#32 Until Dawn - A Symphony of Horror Trophies You collected all gold, silver and bronze trophies trophies in Until Dawn "Understand the palm of my hand bitch" *slap*. I'm stealing that the next time someone pisses me off or I somehow find myself in a physic reading. Get your thumbs ready, it's another QTE game, but this time it's going all teen slasher movie on us as eight friends attempt to survive the night when a night at their rich friends mountain lodge goes tits up. So, the premise. Blackwood Mountain has a troubled history. What was once home to a Native American tribe, is now a getaway for the rich, housed a mental hospital and miners came to bleed the mountains dry during a mining boom in the area. Disappearances and tragedy are common on the mountain, but what's really going on up there? Bad luck or something more...sinister? Of course it's sinister, it's a horror game! To investigate these goings on, our eight protagonists are thrown into the grinder. You switch between these characters over the course of the game as they try to survive the night which is where your choices and actions begin to have an effect. Miss a QTE? You could die. Miss a clue that ties everything together? You could die. Throw a snowball at a bird? Well, you won't die but you ain't getting laid either for your cruelty so you might as well be dead. Ultimately everything boils down to life or death decisions, everything, even the smallest thing could mean all eight make it out alive, or five of them, or none. It's nice that choices and actions have a little weight behind them to give it some importance. In between QTE, you're generally watching whatever action you've caused to happen or exploring the game world. Not everything you can interact with has importance but some give some backstory to the game or act as collectables or trophies, so it's worth having a look around even if it slows the pace down a little. The story itself, I found to be a little weak. The plot twist did actually surprise me but otherwise it felt a bit cliched. That might be on purpose because I never got the impression that the game takes itself too seriously, it seems to be very aware of how ridiculous this situation is so it turns out to be a lot of fun. And despite a slow start it picks from chapter four, chapters six, seven and eight especially were great fun. Naturally for a horror game, everything's very dark and very bleak. Despite being 3 years old it still looks pretty good, locations are well designed though I didn't feel creeped out which is what they were going for. Voice acting is very well done too and really helps bring the characters to life, Ashley in particular was really well acted and sounded like she could completely snap at any given moment. If you're going for the platinum trophy, everything is achievable in one and half (roughly) playthroughs that should take from 15 - 20 hours. Though you'll need to pay close attention to choices that keep people alive and open up collectable areas so I'd go for a blind playthrough first. You don't get a lot of time to react to QTE either but it shouldn't be difficult as long as you're focused on the game. For example, I missed a high five QTE because I glanced away from the screen and left a dude hanging. I'm a terrible person. Overall... + Entertaining and fun, especially mid to late game + Replayability value is high with different outcomes and endings + Nice visuals and great voice acting + Does a great job of translating the slasher genre into a game - Extremely slow pace to start with - Gameplay sections, even for a QTE game are pretty light Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 2/10 - Edited December 24, 2018 by FarSideOfSaturn

Popular Post erickt123
#55 Jak II (PS3) Another Jak game done on the Jak and Daxter Collection, and honestly it wasn't really as bad as I remembered. I remembered favoring Jak 3 because Jak 2 was so difficult in some areas and Jak 3 has a lot more stuff. But now, aside of a couple missions, I went through the game like any other hard game and I enjoyed Jak 2 more than I did in the past. Now my favorite, can't be sure since it's been a long time since I last played Jak 3, but I look forward to finishing that too. Love me the variety of locations in this game, just wish the gunplay was a bit less clunky but overall, I enjoyed the game. I done the platinum legit with no glitches or anything to help me out, and in my experience, it's tedious with the side missions and the races, but none of it was really that bad. The side missions are mostly just orb searches or missions you already done in the main game, and once you get the pattern done for the races, getting gold isn't as daunting as it seems. Granted, the Class 3 and Class 2 races are no pushover, but after having to get used to the admittedly poor controls, I got gold for each of them in a bit of time. Class 1 is pretty easy honestly, there is no tricks or jumps here, just take the shortcuts and don't hit the walls, a stark contrast to what the other races have you doing to get gold. The reverse races seem like another bunch to cause frustration, but they're actually forgiving. I got gold in my first attempts on each of them and part of that is because their gold times are much more generous than the story races. The city races are the same thing really, just do them and that's about it. With the gun courses, the one you'll have to worry about is the Scatter Gun one. Before you start doing that wait until you get a Rate of Fire upgrade for the weapon, then go back to it. From here, it'll take many failed attempts and frustration that you are a point away from gold, but since the point system is based on how fast you shoot the targets, you can use the RoF upgrade to your advantage here. As for the others, the Blaster one is much easier and as it is, just shoot fast and don't hit any civilian targets, there is no secret or high amounts of luck and skill you need to pull off. By the time you unlock the remaining two courses, you'll have an ammo upgrade and those two courses don't really have you worrying about civilians as much, so just fire like crazy and don't miss too many targets. I got gold for the Vulcan Barrel and Peacemaker in my first attempts, got to love how accuracy and other things don't exactly matter. Now of course if I were to 124% the game again on the PS4 or something, I can't be sure if I want to do all this again given all the driving and side missions, but I guess I am enough of a masochist for that. I'll hate going back to that Jet Board challenge though, seriously all you have to do in that one is go to the back of the course, spam tricks and jumps on the rails and jump pad, and just pray the point system is in your favor. That is probably the only challenge in the game I really don't like at all, it's not fun at all and I can't find myself trying to use the Jet Board right for the life of me as the game would want us to do. If a new Jak game comes around similar to Jak 2 and 3, I would love for it to be as difficult as this game, of course with better controls and all, but still I like when a game is challenging throughout. Before I head to Jak 3, I'll be doing a Hero Mode playthrough, I don't think I finished it as a kid so may as well.
