Popular Post madbuk
#293 - Batman With the collapse of Telltale (rip ) I decided to go ahead and get Batman S2 before it got delisted - it got a pretty big price cut which was a bit worrying. And then I realized, despite playing this early this year when it was on PS+, I actually didn't remember anything that happened other than some very vague details, so I decided I'd redo this as a refresher before going into the sequel. Sure, I could've just replayed the PS4 version I already own, but this was cheap enough that I didn't mind paying extra to redo the trophies (I also noticed that I own almost every Batman game in general, missing only the Batman Arkham Blackgate stack, a LEGO Batman 3 stack, and all the DC Super Villains stacks... And DCUO if you count that but that's impossible now) so I figured this'd just get me one step closer to completing that. I still really like the investigation puzzle sections but they're way too easy and I hope sequel fixes that and makes it harder. This is another one of those Telltale games where it felt like literally no choices mattered, like Game of Thrones, so I hope they fix that too. I expect neither of these things to be changed but oh well. I didn't really see anything in this game that'd could be a big part of the sequel, outside of the introduction of the characters obviously, so maybe this was a big waste of time, but we'll see. It's a shame we'll never get a third series.
Popular Post Undead Wolf
#232 - Detroit: Become Human DETROIT MASTER Collected all trophies! I have mixed feelings about this game. I can confidently say this is the best title Quantic Dream and David Cage have ever released, but I'm not exactly their biggest fan, so that in of itself isn't glowing praise. I do usually enjoy the stuff they put out but a lot of that is for the "wrong" reasons (laughing at how silly it is). I find their games are usually overrated and Detroit is no exception, although I do consider it a decent game at the very least. By far the best part of Detroit were the Connor and Hank sections - I genuinely thought these were great and I love their interactions with each other. The Markus sections were fine but nothing remarkable. What really dragged this game's enjoyment down for me were the Kara sections. Fist of all, they try way too hard to make you like and sympathise with Alice (the little girl) but it feels way too forced. There were also a lot of moments that left me thinking "WTF!?", most notably the stupid and totally unnecessary "plot twist" that's revealed towards the end of the game. It added nothing and if anything it actually took away from the experience. This game also made some ham-fisted comparisons to slavery and even the holocaust - it was actually pretty hilarious. I enjoyed my first playthrough well enough, but getting the platinum in these Quantic Dream games are always a pain in the ass since you can't skip cutscenes. You also start noticing more flaws and the way the game handles choices on repeat playthroughs, so the "magic" wears off by then. The game was fine but I'm glad to have it done.

Popular Post locutus442
Platinum #40 (and trophy #5000): Star Ocean Till the End of Time Reach Transcendence Unlock all trophies. One of my favorite games on the Ps2. When this was announced as a Ps2 on Ps4 classic, I was elated. The only thing that would have made it better is if there wasn't so many crashes. But still, overall it was so much fun playing this game again.
Popular Post Ghost
Platinum difficulty 2/10 Enjoyment 10/10 Platinum time - 12:02 Really enjoyed Ripto's Rage. This felt a bit easier than Spyro 1. The flight levels weren't as time restrictive than the previous games or maybe I just got used to the controls more. It was nice to see the addition of new skills like swimming and the headbash. The boss battles were really fun, especially facing Ripto. Trophy clean up is much easier when you collect everything as you get unlimited Super Flame. Now onto Year of the Dragon! Popular Post Mr_Wright95
#51: Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition Difficulty: 2.5/10 Fun: 8/10 Overall a very good game with very satisfying combat. The story is a bit Cliche' but personally I loved it (and this is my second playthrough) Focussing on the story and leaving a lot of the Cop Job / Roland Missions and Car collection missions made the last few hours feel a bit grindy, but overall not too taxxing. A great pickup and relatively stress free platinum. And now the road to my next 50 platinum' begins!
Popular Post FluffyAssassin64
#102 - Darksiders (Warmastered Edition) "BFA" Unlocked EVERYTHING! Loving being on holidays so I finally get to play some of my backlog! I'd always been intrigued by the Darksiders series since it came out (about 8 years ago now, I believe), but - for some reason or other - never got around to playing it. I'm glad I finally did though; the world, story and characters were more interesting than I expected. Otherwise, despite the Remastered Edition looking pretty and running well, the gameplay itself does start to show its age somewhat. While remaining fun with new moves and items throughout, the combat overall felt a bit clunky; having the dodge + block + some running / special moves on the same button was frustrating more often than not. Some of the key items / pieces of gear were fun, but generally they were either underpowered or under-utilised. Some areas were also uninspired. That said, I did very much enjoy this game overall! There were some really cool set-piece moments and cutscenes, and I loved the voice acting and music. Sometimes it was a bit too epic for its own good (do I really need a heavy orchestral piece when fighting a single fish???), but generally I was very impressed. Dungeons and bosses were also actually pretty good here too; the Zelda vibe definitely revealed itself here (as did using the key items from that dungeon for that boss). Similarly, the rest of the game felt very God of War-like; types of weapons, moves, health/'magic' collectibles, 'rage' meter, etc. Not to say that's a bad thing - it's done really well here - but I've played those games to death and, again, the gameplay isn't necessarily the most solid when played these days. Trophy-wise, there's nothing too crazy here. A first play through on 'Apocalyptic' is definitely possible; there were only one or two early-mid game fights where I required a few attempts. Once you get some certain powers and items though (Affliction OP), you'll have much less issue. Alternatively, you can play through on an easier difficulty, and make use of the 'abyssal armour' (super strong armour from the late game) which will make your 2nd playthrough much easier; some of the enemies can hit hard! The few missable trophies are all quite straight forward, but I'd recommend having a look beforehand and being sure to make a save before those segments. Spoilers aren't really an issue when it comes to these segments (and I'm very keen to avoid spoilers generally), but playing through a big chunk of the game again could be frustrating if you miss them. Finally, there are a few final grinds trophies; involving the weapon levelling (depending how you play) and a certain horse-riding marathon. Nothing a few baby-spider-killing, horse-rider-murdering, and rubber-band-controllering won't fix Overall, a good game with a really cool premise, but nothing particularly impressive when played today. Am I glad I played it? Sure. Will I play the others in the series? Most certainly. Just don't expect a modern masterpiece, and you'll have fun here. Popular Post SereneSilent
#26 Yakuza: Dead Souls My final Platinum for this year, 2018, and likely my last PS3 game I'll ever platinum. I can't say much about this series since I haven't played any of the other games...Yet! If you played any of the Yakuza games you have more knowledge than me, this game takes place in Japan in a place called Kamurocho (This is based on a real location called Kabukichō). This game is a spin-off game taking place after Yakuza 4 in an alternative world. So any and all events in this game is never mentioned again in Yakuza 5. So if you played the other games you can get an idea of what the characters are going to be like. For those who played the series you will see familiar characters such as Akiyama the owner of Sky Fiance (Not sure If I'm right), Majima (Many people's favorite character and known as the Mad Dog), Ryuji ( Can't say much without spoiling Yakuza 2) and Kiryu, the main protagonist of the Yakuza Series. These four will go though struggles in their world as Kamurocho is attacked by Zombies! Before I go any further I must say this, Yakuza is a beat em up game about the underworld side (Yakuza) of Japan. Enemies are usually other humans but since this is a spin-off game the enemies are the undead. I can't say much without spoiling so let's get into the gameplay. Gameplay wise , It is much different from the actual series as you mostly fight enemies with your fist. In this game you will be using guns! You got your standard weapons for this game such as pistols and shotguns. There are more weapons to use and you can upgrade them at a certain time in the story. Since the enemies are zombies that means there are going to be variants of them. Some Annoying and some easy to take down. There are optional sub-stories that you can complete to gain experience points, money or even items to help you during the game. Now, It's not a Yakuza game if you don't have the following....mini games to distract you . Some games like fishing, bowling, golf, batting and much more. You can easily get distracted by these but they are really fun. Now then the difficulty.... The game can be easy in the lower difficulties but brutal in the highest difficulty. When you beat a game you can make a save file for the clear data and if you load that file when you choose Premium new game you get to start the game over with all the items you gathered in that file....except the hardest difficulty called Dead Souls. You cannot start a new game plus from for the difficulty so You will start from level one again and the enemies are more aggressive, damage more, take more damage and will surround you quickly. I would recommend doing all the substories to get every reward as some offer items that you can equip to get more defense. Trust me when I say this.... YOU WILL NEED IT at a certain point in the game. There are also QTE's which go faster in each difficulty. Dead souls qte's to me are 1 or 1.5 seconds reactions so good luck with that. The last thing I want to talk about are the trophies. They're pretty straightforward but some of them are grind fests such as reach level 99. Other than that they are easy but time consuming. I know many people who played this series will say skip this because it is the lowest of the series but give It a try and you'll probably see that this game isn't really that bad. Sure the gun's only aspect might be the cause of that but it is still a yakuza game with hilarious moments and charming characters. All I can say is give it a try. Difficulty: 4/10 (Based on Normal mode) , 7/10 (Based on Dead Souls Mode which really needs you to be at your best) Enjoyment: 8.5/10
Popular Post Masamune
4 Goddesses Online Master Proof you finished playing 4 Goddesses Online. Thank you for playing this far! Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Playtime: 24:03:32 (5 days, 10 hours, 43 minutes) Screenshot: Spoiler This was pretty easy, it's one of those games where you could actually get the plat accidentally without knowing it. ? Real fun though, think SAO but with Neptunia characters (I lost count how many times SAO was referenced in this game). The only downside is that the only playable characters are the 4 main Goddesses & their sisters (no Plutia, IF, etc... most of them are in the game, but they're just shop keepers). ? I used the same party the entire game (except when I reached post-game & started switching people around to learn all their skills), my main was Noire, then Uni, Ram, & Blanc... Noire really kicked ass the way I had her set up too. The 3 main gems I used were the one that increases ATK by 80% (& decreases DEF by the same amount), increases ATK the higher your combo is, & HP regen, with those I rarely had any problems (once I managed to guard-break a boss, that was pretty much it). & just so I have something else to post, here's my end-game records & such. Popular Post ex10097
Platinum#99Utawarerumono Mask of Deception As someone who played the original Utawarerumono many years ago on PC, I was really looking forward to playing Mask of Deception on the Vita and the game does not disappoint. The new protagonist Haku is very relatable and likeable to me, though I wish the other characters were fleshed out a bit more like they've done with Ukon, but still nicely done. It's mostly VN with some story battles, so it has been a while since I've relaxed and enjoyed a game so much. Especially near the end, where the plot picks up and damn what a dramatic rush. Although I think Haku made a really stupid decision near the end, the plot for the final game wouldn't have worked so well without it I guess. Spoiler Seriously, why couldn't he tell his friends that he's going to be pretending to be Oshtor from now onwards? It's not like they're bad at keeping secrets seeing as they've been working undercover this whole time. But we wouldn't have been treated to Kuon's love epiphany without it I guess. Can't wait to see if she punches Haku's lights out for lying to her in sequel Now the postgame dream battles were a real headcase. For the first time I had to actually use my brain for a change and some of the battles like with those constantly reviving undead guys that can also oneshot your characters or the rematch with Kurou where your characters are divided in the middle of enemy forces were quite challenging. For the final dream battle, I ended up sacrificing most of my characters to take down most of the enemies, with only the twins and Nosure remaining. Had an easy win against Munechika by spamming the twins' shikigami creating attack skill while Nosuri would keep sniping from afar. Since poor Munechika would keep prioritizing the Butterfly, just bullied her one-sidedly lol. Nekone and the twins are indispensable post game characters, with attack/area heal and attack/decoy in same turn. Max BP farming was boring but did it quickly while watching the first Kizumonogatari movie. Gonna make Mask of Truth my 100th platinum!

Popular Post GraniteSnake
Feels nice to wrap up 2018 with a couple of platinum's.. a great year of gaming for me personally after being away from it for so long. #97: Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden I don't mind playing point and click games every now and again. I tend to find them pretty relaxing and easy going in comparison to the games I'm usually accustomed to. Following a guide made this platinum easy, obviously. Some of the hidden object puzzles were actually quite difficult but I managed to get through them in the end. The story wasn't bad and it was nice that there was a happy ending. #98: Spyro the Dragon I enjoyed my time with this game. I think my final play time was roughly 7 hours. I remember playing 'Enter the Dragonfly' and the 'Legend of Spyro' games when I was younger.. I don't think I ever played any of the original trio released on the PlayStation. A really easy game with a big focus on gathering collectibles (Gems/Eggs/Dragons). The only difficulty in this game comes from getting to certain areas during the later levels (Tree Tops is a big difficulty spike in terms of this). The flying levels were a pain at first but it was only a matter of trial and error in order to find the best route. All of the miscellaneous trophies were easy and I had them all within a half hour after I completed the game. Each world was unique and had a decent variety of enemies. My favourite level would have to be Gnasty's Loot simply because of the freedom of flight awarded as you work your way through the level. I thought the game had nice visuals and a great soundtrack.. now I can't wait to play the sequels. ?

Popular Post LimitedTimeGamer
29# - Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix (PS4) Kingdom Hearts II Master Date Earned: December 31st 2018 Completed in 2 Weeks, 6 Days. (Gametime 47:31) So with Kingdom Hearts III literally One Month away, i thought it would be time for me to get off my backside, sit down and finish this one. Now i am not gonna rush the other games, but good luck to those that are, i will just watch a recap or something. Anywho, this is one of the finest action games ever made. Everything just fits, and you are always doing something to make you stronger. Only gripe i really have is the 3HR+ tutorial, and the fact that you need to play on Critical to get this. The Data battles were the hardest thing for me, and the last trophy i got was the synthesis ones. Onwards to KH3! And just in time for New Years as well! Happy New Year to you all!
Popular Post Durandal
Sypro 2: Ripto's Rage! Collected all Trophies & Skill Points My second Spyro game! And it was even better then the first one. Mostly because the story was more interesting and there were more characters involved, some of them are simply hilarious too. I also liked the locations more then the ones from the first game, not really because they looked better but they were larger and they had more things for me to do with the added orb challenges. The rest is pretty much on par with the first one, even the sometimes kind of bad controls. The camera is a bit too sensitive for my taste, especially during the flight levels and when Spyro is supercharged. But nothing a little bit of practice can fix. The trophies were also a bit more challenging for me this time. I think they managed a nice balance between easy and more difficult trophies, although there aren't any really challenging trophies in this game. But most importantly I had a lot of fun collecting my trophies for the second Spyro adventure, due the really interesting objectives. There aren't any trophies for just collecting things, instead they had me do all kinds of fun things. Oh, and I even managed to collect all the skill points for the art gallery! I am really glad I picked up this trilogy when it came out! And I definitely can recommend them to anyone who hasn't played a Spyro game before, like me.

Popular Post StiffTripple_X
Plat #39 Finally finished my my last two arcade runs I had to do today for this. I’ve been dragging out platting this game for awhile now lol. Got it back when they gave it out as a ps plus title in 2014. Though this game will never be as good as super smash brothers it will always have a special place in my heart. If you haven’t got the online trophies for this yet I suggest you do because time is very limited now for them. Plat difficulty 4/10 due to the annoying tutorial that was way harder that it actually should of been. Enjoyment 7/10
