Popular Post OobiGod
Platinum #8 Spyro The Dragon Gnasty's Demise Collect all Spyro the Dragon Trophies Fuck man when did I last write one of these platinum write ups... "August 29th 2018" ohhhhh. So in this time I have gotten a PS4 with tons of games. I still have my ps3 plugged in. I have attempted to plat games like TMNT Danger of The Ooze (I am ready to plat it, I just need to get the speedrun route online again). Anyway this game is pretty fun but I also like collect a thons. I had some problems like the difficulty was barely there and it was either really easy or annoying in some segments. Another thing I noticed was Toys for Bob putting its grubby little hands on the series with things like character designs of the dragons and some slight frame drops I think. Motion blur is an issue but it didn't bother me like it did for some others. But man is the gameplay so fun. Next platinum is likely going to be Spider-Man 2018 which is also fucking amazing.

Popular Post Viscera1900
#202 - Detroit: Become Human DETROIT MASTER "Collected all trophies!" Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Difficulty: 1/10 I think Detroit: Become Human was very enjoyable experience. The story and characters were interesting; keeps me invested in the story. I especially liked Connor's and Hank's relationship. Out of the 3 main characters, Connor was definitely my favorite one with all those investigation sections and Hank ofc. And this game's platinum trophy is my last platinum for 2018! What a way to end 2018! Happy New Year everyone! Here's hoping that 2019 is going to be even more exciting year for gaming!
Popular Post Undead Wolf
#233 - Drakengard 3 The Final Song I can hear the sound. I managed to pop one final platinum before the end of 2018, making it my 53rd this year. Definitely a great one to bring in the new year with. I had a vague idea of what to expect going into this game, but nobody can truly prepare for the insanity a Yoko Taro game brings. That man is a genius! After witnessing the brilliant intro cutscene of this game, I was hooked. The contrast between Zero's brutal actions and the humour which often had me laughing out loud made for quite the experience. As a protagonist, she's not the one-dimensional character she first appears to be. I won't spoil anything, but it's actually quite a tragic tale. I really enjoyed all of the different characters and their banter with each other especially. If I had to knock the game for anything, it would be the repetitive gameplay and sub-par frame rate, but honestly, that did little to affect my overall enjoyment of the game. I thought it was brilliant and I hope I get the chance to play Drakengard 1 & 2 some day. Either way, I still have the two NieR games to get through. Looking forward to it!
Nightstream88
Got the Platinum trophies for Spider-Man(#70) Through the Woods(#71)- I would've gotten the platinum trophy for this sooner had the trophies been working properly, but I'm honestly surprised it was fixed at all Spider-man is definitely within my top 10 favorite games for the year though.
Popular Post Ala-Arska
LEGO Marvel's Avengers (PS3) Peace In Our Time Collect all other trophies Sleep tight, don't let the T.Rex bite. My final Platinum (and 100%) for the year 2018. And with over 20 minutes to spare I'll keep this one short, since it's New Year's Eve/or already 2019 and most of you guys are out drinking instead of hanging around here And if you manage to get up before noon tomorrow, you'll be too hung over to be able to concentrate on more than a few sentences anyway Jokes aside, this is as by-the-numbers LEGO title as one can get. A dozen of levels, a large hub and a few smaller ones, tons of collectibles. 250 Gold Bricks and 196 characters total. Getting those were surprisingly glitch free, and even flying missions went smoothly! If you're still not gotten an overdose from Marvel Cinematic Universe, you can always do this block version of Earth's Mightiest Adventures (HAPPY NEW YEAR, fellow gamer dudes and dudettes. Keep on showin' your mad skillz through the year 2019!)

SomervilleHBK
#23 London 2012 (PS3) Game's shockingly great to play with friends since it's just a collection of button mashing and QTE's so it can get intense. The Olympic campaign on hard difficulty can be frustrating if you burn out on that type of gameplay easily stamina-wise. Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #158 Sound Shapes (PS Vita) You've Gone Platinum Complete all Death Mode and Beat School levels. This will include quite a bit of bitching, so feel free to not read this at all [assuming people read anyway - though someone referenced one awhile ago so at least one person read one of these... I digress]. The campaign is short, and it's alright. I enjoy it, but it's a bit boring to be honest. The beat school I didn't even try to do (along with the DLCs) because I had already played some of Death Mode. Not just from 2013 which is why I stopped playing originally... but now too. So I was too annoyed at the game itself to even bother to try. It lead me from "it's okay, I kinda like it" to "fuck this game, it's awful". And while that may be somewhat hyperbolic, Death Mode is objectively poorly designed. When you have randomly appearing notes that even if you perfectly navigate the death levels to grab as soon as humanly possible you can't finish. Because they appeared too far apart, and the time restraints are insanely strict for randomized placements and the level design that each level has. There was only one of these stupid fucking things that didn't make me feel like I achieved nothing when I finished it. Extraterrestria. It was actually not ridiculous, there was just enough going on to provide a challenge but not enough to make it near impossible to finish. Event Horizon #1 was a nightmare, and I got incredibly lucky and somehow finished with 8 seconds left. While I was never able to come close to finishing in time prior to that. Providing all the evidence necessary that this mode is poorly designed as hell. Thermogenica #2 was the last one I had and it, probably half the time would spawn the notes on the complete opposite side of the level which m akes it impossible to finish in time even if you have perfect platforming performance. There's just not enough time. When I finally did it, like 99% of these stupid levels. I was left frustrated and annoyed. Feeling like I earned nothing. Because it was completely outside of my control on whether or not I'd actually be able to finish in time. They should have either removed the time, made the time make more sense... or had the notes spawn in the same spot every time so they could actually polish the mode to be fun. And actually a challenge. Needing to get RNGesus to gift you a win is not what I would call fun. Nor would I call it 'easy'. How people could claim this crap was easy is beyond me. I managed it in a day of tedious bullshit, but that doesn't make it easy. I managed The Kid in a few hours too [Super Meat Boy], doesn't make it easy... and that, much like this mode, had similar bad design which didn't even carry over into the otherwise polished full game. Again similar to this game. This is an instance of trophies ruining a game, or a mode itself ruining a game for you. I read through an entire thread on .org about whether the mode soured the game for you and it's divisive there. But, I'm of the camp that yes indeed it did. I never intended to use cross save to pop multiple versions of this game in the first place, but after that I'd lie if I said the temptation wasn't there. But the servers don't work, and I don't want this awful game on my profile more than once even if it did. I'm so glad to have this crap over with. I'm really annoyed when game designers don't seem to playtest their damn games. I guess the goal of the mode was to artificially inflate the game time. So the random failures outside of your control are by 'design' in a cynical attempt to make their game seem content filled. But that's hardly a good reason. Some of the music was great, some in the death mode was really obnoxious. To the point that I actually had to turn off my monitor's volume. I switched from playing Vita itself to moving my PS TV to a useable space so I could play with a controller. Using my Vita for intensive games now-a-days cramps my hands something fierce. Ah, the signs of aging~ Visuals are obviously awesome, controls for the most part are responsive. It's just that one stupid mode that poisons it all. But I'm glad to have something off my backlog from 2013 knocked off going into the new year. (PST, hello from last year - for now).
Popular Post Masamune
Gnasty's Demise Collect all Spyro the Dragon Trophies Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Playtime: 6:45:59 (1 day, 10 minutes, 51 seconds) Screenshot: (Fear the Shadow Dragon!) Spoiler It was really fun going through part of my childhood, just with updated graphics. Now if only Square Enix would realize that's what their customers want too... Anyways, it was about as easy as expected. It's been so long since I played Spyro, I barely remembered any of the stages (you've might as well said I've never played it before). There were a few times I had to lookup how to get to some secret locations, but once you know the path to take, most of them are fairly easy to get to. I'm sure I'll enjoy the other 2 just as much, but I'll probably space them out some so I don't get too burnt-out on it. ?

Popular Post DamagingRob
#365- Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed Advent of the Akiba God Obtained every trophy Well, I would have to say this was the highlight of my second PS Now trial. Was always kind of interested, but I never bit on it in a sale. Glad I finally got to play it, 'cause it is a lot of fun. Combat is kind of different, with weapons having different movesets. You may have to try some, until you find one you like. I went with the metal bat, until I got the badass weapon from the final boss. This thing has great range, so you don't have to get too close to enemies to hit them. Clothes don't really matter, I don't think. Just wear what you want, and continue to upgrade it. The goal when fighting is to pretty much remove the enemies' clothing. Damage it enough times, and you can then grab and rip it off. They can do the same to you, though, so watch your health! You can also chain remove multiple items of clothing, in a quicktime event sequence that starts whenever you rip one off (provided other clothes are damaged enough). And removing seven or more in a chain leads to you being able to perform a move that renders them naked, with light covering up the naughty bits. This is how you get underwear drops. After getting pretty far into the game, I started to struggle with a sidequest where you have to fight and defeat 48 girls. Leaving the area would reset the count, and I wasn't sure I'd be able to do it with my current equipment. But what this game doesn't teach you (and seems like something that really should be), is that you can heal your clothes by holding . Once I learned that, I was able to win the fight. I don't even know if I got a Game Over after that (which isn't really punishment, since you can just select continue and be placed right before the fight). I know I didn't die on Otaku. With all 999 gear on myself and Shizuku, and running a little ways away to heal often, it was a breeze. I also had her equipped with the badass endgame weapon, though. Story wasn't bad, but I never really got attached to anyone in its short runtime, other than Shion. It's mostly comical and silly, which fits the rest of the game. So yeah, if you want to strip the clothes off of male and female vampire-like enemies (and also humans, which girls will actually run up and slap you for afterwards, before running off ) this may be the game for you. The city is really cool, too. I guess if you want to see what Japan is like without actually going there, this could also be the game for you? Not sure how closely it resembles the real thing, but it was neat. It's not too long, either. I ran through it from start to finish 4 times, playing once on each difficulty, and it only took ~23 hours. I did lose some time due to a weird bug, though.. The cutscene for a sidequest started while there were still enemies to fight. Shizuku was still fighting, and I was stuck not being able to advance the text. Had to close the game, since it didn't appear I was going to be able to continue. I recommend saving often. ?
