Popular Post Yoey_666
#300 - Trackmania Turbo I finished this game a long time ago and was just waiting for it to become my next milestone. Like the other Trackmania games (I played TM Nations on PC for an eternity..) this was a really awesome game. I just love games where you need to improve with every mistake you make so you will finally beat the next sonofabitch goldmedal time. I think it was a worthy milestone, really enjoyed my time on the road.

Popular Post Paulie1313
98 South Park™: The Stick of Truth™ Platinum Trophy Collected all South Park™: The Stick of Truth™ trophies. 2nd plat of 2019, although should have had this a week ago. Sadly, even with forever saving, I still had to do 3 play through's as game just wouldn't give me the 120 friends trophy, even though I did everything guide stated. 2nd trophy glitch was Full Arsenal, owning all weapons/outfits. Followed guide to a T, sold only at same vendor so I could backcheck what I've sold, kept items in inventory until outfit was complete, then sold. Only thing I did different this time around was wait until Main Quests were done, then unfriended Al Gore and finished the ManBearPig quest to unlock weapons and got all friends. Fun game, but not fun enough for 3 entire runs. If you've watched the show, then you know what to expect. Difficulty 2/10 Enjoyment 4/10 Points deducted for following guide and still having to play 2 more times. Popular Post Boomshanks
( 46) Guitar Hero Live Platinum Trophy Enjoyment: 4/10 Strumillionaire: 0/10 Difficulty: 5/10 I actually got this one on the 29th of November just 2 days before the server shutdown. I’m just really bad at posting these stories on time. It’s one of the few games I actually regret buying, especially because of the trophies, but we’ll get to that. The single player GH Live was fun… for two hours. And then it wasn’t anymore. The idea of playing in front of a live audience is ok but everyone is overacting sooo badly it just takes you out of it completely and becomes unintentionally hilarious. Also, the soundtrack is mediocre at best with songs such as Berserk and Bangarang that really shouldn’t be in a Guitar Hero game. The game was sorely lacking any of the classic rock songs that were available in other Guitar Hero or Rock Band games. The mediocre soundtrack also made Quickplay pretty much pointless since all the good songs were in GHTV. But of course we still had to get 20 million points in Quickplay, so I played I Will Wait by Mumford & Sons about 40 times and called that a day. The idea behind GHTV is better. I had to get used to the idea of not being able to buy songs and play them forever, but I have Rock Band 4 for that so I’m glad Guitar Hero Live went in a different direction. The concept itself worked really well and I discovered quite a few new songs that I really started to enjoy and still listen to ?. But there’s a downside to the channels as well. It happens quite a lot that the only songs that are playing are ones you don’t enjoy, so you have to use your plays to even play a song you like. And if you run out of plays? Well you can always buy more… yeah they can f*ck off with that. It doesn't help that there are only 2 channels in total. I'm sure they promised to get more channels sometime, but to be fair I only played it once or twice when I picked it up and only started playing it religiously when there was almost no time before the server shutdown. And then there was the grind. My god the grind. You can be done with every trophy (save one) in the game and you’ll be at about 300 thousand strums. And then you’ll have to strum 700 thousand times more for the stupid Strumillionaire trophy. What is it with these ridiculous trophy demands that don't make any sense compared to the rest of the game. What a horrible experience that was. Just mindlessly strumming while watching some series on Netflix with a noise-cancelling headphone on. I ended up doing it all manually and managed to strum an average of 30 thousand strums per hour so that trophy alone took me about 23 hours. I swear I made that strumming motion so much that when I jerk off now I can reach Mach 5. But I managed to get it done just in time for the server closure. And now I don’t ever want to think about this game again . Oh yeah and I still prefer Rock Band.
Popular Post Neef-GT5
#25 - Burly Men at Sea Difficulty = 1.5/10 Enjoyment = 5/10 Another decent PS Plus game. Extremely short and extremely straightforward, it's a really offered platinum to add to your collection. Trophies only relate to what we have no choice but to call a story and to the various endings, which will demand many playthroughs. No worries though, going all the way through the game is really quickly done. And the "choices" leading to each end are so obvious that a guide is not even necessary. Not really much else to say, the game is pretty basic. If you're in search of a memorable narrative experience or a technical masterpiece, you shall be disappointed. But if you just feel like seeing a platinum pop on your TV screen in a matter of hours, then you definitely knocked at the right door... :-)

Popular Post madbuk
#294 - Batman: The Enemy Within I enjoyed this a lot more than the first season. After finishing that, I was hoping for some more of the detective crime scene puzzle parts from the second season, and unfortunately there are almost none of those here (and they weren't any harder than the original when they do appear), but the story was more interesting and it ran much better than the PS3 version of season 1 I did before this. One of my biggest criticisms with season 1 was that choices barely seemed to matter at all. Here, I don't know for certain because I didn't do 2 runs (and don't plan to), but it seemed like the story could begin to branch off in a lot of different directions, especially towards the end with the final 2 episodes. It's a shame we'll never get a third season, but I think this one wrapped things up well enough that there aren't any major plot threads that will forever be left unfinished as a result of Telltale's closure, which I am thankful for.

Persona 5 got some of my favorite music ever so getting to listen to it more and some remixes was exactly what I needed and it's been a relaxing experience.

Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#334 - Ghost Recon Wildlands Quite the grind. Ubisoft needs to start cutting down on the filler content, damn. Not any other game has that many icons for missions, side mission, resources and collectibles. The gameplay itself is fun and the several bugs in this game make it hilarious at times. That being said, the AI is horrendous and the resource farming an absolute bore. Props for all the earster eggs though (Sam Fisher mission and Predator mission, which is dope as fuck btw). Quick thanks to @hemi632 for the 2 minute online trophy boost . Popular Post sillyrobo75
God of War Father and Son Obtain all other trophies Platinum Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 3/10 My first platinum. Fighting the last Valk was annoying, plus the farming for two trophies, but overall not that bad, especially since there is no difficulty related trophy so I just lowered the difficulty to normal for most of the farming and trials, also for the last Valkyrie, which I hate btw, just saying lol.

Popular Post GraniteSnake
#100: Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon Hard to believe it's almost been 9 years since I collected my first trophy.. damn. It took me just over 24 hours to achieve 112% across the 3 games and what an enjoyable experience it was. Impressive graphics, a soothing soundtrack and for the most part fluid gameplay. I was lucky enough not to encounter any glitches over the course of the 3 games and only had a drop in frame rate during one of the Agent 9 side missions in the 3rd game when a bunch of enemies appeared on screen. Motion blur was a little bit of an issue, especially when turning quickly during the flying levels. It's also a shame that the majority of my trophy screenshots for the game are really blurry. ? Aside from that I was very pleased with the trilogy overall. Not perfect, but very impressive nonetheless. Year of the Dragon was probably my least favourite out of the 3, but I'm only talking small margins here. I didn't like how there wasn't any in-game maps for the additional areas (small issue I know) and I felt that the newly introduced characters movements felt sluggish in comparison to Spyro's. That being said, the story was decent and I really enjoyed the soundtrack to this game. My personal favourite has to be - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIrZi4rSOPc The level design was complex and some of the eggs were in some very sneaky locations. This game was probably the easiest out of the 3 in terms of getting the platinum, seeing as you only need to collect 100 out of the 150 total eggs. The Super Bonus round at the end was fun though and it's nice seeing this game at 117%! Happy to have this game as my 100th platinum! Popular Post Beyondthegrave07
#74 - Creed: Rise to Glory Difficulty: 6.5/10 Fun: 8.5/10 Recommend?: If you have a VR, this is a good pickup for the collection! My Experience: Spoiler "Dude, are you sweating?" And there I was, in the 4th round. My vision is getting blurry from the sweat pouring into my VR and onto the lenses and my brother walks through the door and stops. I put my hands up to block a few jabs from Mad Dog. I weave backwards and force him to miss! "This is my chance!" I thought. I thrust forward to throw a heavy left-handed hook and miss furiously! I turn towards my opponent and begin to weave again. Mad dog throws a strong right and I dance to my right. Another miss! Here's my chance! I lunge forward and put a controlled jab into his chin, and I start opening his defenses. I hear a few ticks left in the round, and I smell blood. I start throwing out my hands until they hurt, but to no avail. Into the 5th round. I've knocked him down 4 times while he's only knocked me down 3. I still have a chance. However, if you listen, you can hear the soft panting of my character. Not good. I slowly move towards my opponent and put in a few good jabs to the cheek and step to my right. He throws yet another miss! This is my chance! This is it! I turn to strike him in the temple, and I miss again! AGH! Mad dog throws a well-timed strike, and breaks my guard. He begins relentlessly attacking me, and all I can do is block, and before I knew it. My screen zooms out and goes black.... I lost. My brother just says, "it was a good match." and walks into his room. I'm left there to wallow in my loss. It's agonizing moments like these that make this game great and keeps me coming back. Each opponent has their strengths and weaknesses and you have to discover their weaknesses and study their habits to annihilate them in the ring! This game is great and if that paragraph sounded like a load of fun then this game is for you. It's VR only (obviously), but if you are a VR owner and on the fence about this, go for it. The game gets a little wonky at times, but it won't effect your matches too badly, or if it does, you can immediately calibrate the game to get you straightened out. This was a well-fought platinum, but was well worth the 6-7 hours I put into it. It was a challenge yet fun. No grindy trophies and all skill. I prefer these lists over long-winded lists any day! Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #159 Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story The Completionist Unlock all trophies. Didn't feel like waiting for a patch that may never [probably won't] come to fix a glitch. So just replayed the dumb thing, it wasn't too bad. And I went a bit overboard replaying it I did literally everything again just to make sure i could beat the dumb Mother Drake first try. But I'm dumb and wasted a few hours. I ~thought~ the questline showed up already and so was chipping away. Then it disappeared and so before things were ruined again I redownloaded my savefile from 4 hours ago [there was a break between there and when I was playing though so I think it was more 2-3 hours of gameplay lost]. But, there's two reasons this was a stupid mistake. The first was apparent as I restarted the game and dread set in. The fact that sometimes quests appear in the same spot and thus overlap eaach other on the map... so I could've just played the mission through and the 'missing' one would have come back. What I later realized was that wasn't even the right quest in the first place, because I'm dumb. It was for the... Arc Draconus [more like a Dark Knight than a Dragoon]. The title made me think that was the start of the questline when it wasn't. And the questline that overlapped it was the actual one for Mother Drake. I'm just dumb. *sigh* But despite my idiocy, and the initial glitch preventing me from platinum in the first place. I didn't mind most of the replay, but I did mind 'needing' to see graduation all the time and to actually put someone in there. I don't know what happens if you don't do it though. *shrug* It says you have to do at least one, but didn't say what happens if you fail to. And glitch/replay aside, I quite like the game itself. It's not perfect, and could be better in a lot of ways. Trying to click on that damn traveling merchant when she visits your school is a huge pain in the ass. Why she doesn't just set up a shop somewhere is beyond me. Then you could just access it from the very mobile-like user interface. The combat could have let you have more control of your abilities, a lot of them are automatic/random. Want an ice spell? too bad, it comes when it feels like. Until you're a sage, but then it's an AoE around you so you have to get close. xP Music was catchy, and somehow not tedious and annoying despite how easily it could have been. There's a limited selection. The enviornments however, they need more variety. There's a point where you in the story go to a "desert" and you're in the same grasslands that you're in for 90% of the game. And there is sand textures for a few later missions, so I don't get wtf they were doing there. Beyond that the random generation sucked and was annoying, they could have allowed you to also view the map in full to leviate some of the annoyance of running around. Eventually you just ditch a character at the portal when you find it [or if you start there] and then roam around with the rest. So when you're done doing your tasks, you can just switch to the person standing there and immediately leave, rather than trying to navigate back. It was really annoying trying to navigate the areas with little hill areas to climb up. For some reason the game keeps throwing the graduation tutorial message back at you over and over and won't leave you alone. Building a school was pretty fun, a lot more so than Ni no Kuni 2 which is a sad state of affairs when some random developer can outclass Level-5 in a town builder mode. It's not what I'd say is great, it's still fairly limited in what it offers. But it gives you freedom, even letting you fill larger spaces with smaller builds. [small, medium, large]. And there were indoor and outdoor things which was neat. Wish there was more to unlock for the more frivolous stuff. But hey, it did the job. And a lot of the buildings give bonuses to gameplay. Like faster health regen, increased MP in battle, increased exp gain, and so on. Which ends up having you throw out a 'pretty' build for a more practical one as you go on. Story is there, it's not that great but it did surprise me a bit with how the ending was. I wasn't expecting some aspects of it. Hard to say without spoilers. Platinum is pretty easy, glitches aside. In my not so fast second playthrough I ended up running into multiple glitches I didn't see the first time. Fell through the ground at one point in a level. In the exit animation on your way on a mission, your characters walk out. For some reason they were all shunted to the side where they clearly aren't supposed to be. It was an odd one. Glad to have that done with. I didn't time things well, given that this became more tedious than it needed to be. And I'm also working on Disney Universe, which is growing tedious.
