Popular Post Justin__Harris
Platinum #57: Burly Men at Sea (VITA) Game Score: 6/10 Platinum Difficulty: 0.5/10 This game was a PlayStation Plus freebie back in November, I think. It's a PS4/Vita cross-play, but I played it on my Vita because I read it was an easy peasy platinum. This is probably one of the easiest plats I've ever got. So is the game itself worth the effort of playing? Maybe. It's a cute little story with a dozen or so paths and endings. I did enjoy the art and music of the game. The writing was very humorous and I chuckled more than a few times in playing it. It's just really a point-and-click adventure, so if that's your cup of tea, you'll probably enjoy it. I like these types of games, but I honestly can't say it's anything special. Feels more like it should just be a free Flash game for children more than anything else. It's fine, but had I not just needed something to do during my down time at work, I probably wouldn't have bothered with it. Really it's just one of those games that requires next to no real effort to attain the platinum other than going through the game over and over. Probably can take one less than two hours to 100% it, so in that regard, for trophy hunting, it's worth it. The game is just okay, but other than that, there's a lot better point-and-click adventures that are more worth your time.
Popular Post FOOTBALLNUT
#108 Great Shot Kid! Collect all other trophies Platinum on 2nd January 2019 (11 months, 3 weeks, 2 days) **********My Personal Gaming Enjoyment Experience********** If wasn't my PSN friends is having some discussion on "PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate" multiplayer boosting method I may forgotten I had this game in my digital library and I think this is one of the Instant Game Collection lineup in June 2014 ...Whoa, that was close to 5 years back and I didn't even own a PlayStation 4 yet but I'm already Plus subscribers since 2013 and I know I'll get a PlayStation 4 in near future so I'll download every PS4 games that have been made free every month. The plot didn't have much story to follow at least every bosses battles is creative and unique on its own but sometime they can also be annoying and frustration if don't know what to do especially the last boss as I lost count of how many retry button I had pressed. My personal favorites have to be level 5 boss cause every single stage is fun and challenging although I have many retry but each retry I earn from my past mistakes and in the end I defeated the ugly beasts ...hahahaha... .......... The level design are nicely done without feeling repeatedly in each world and it will be even better if the section can be trim down to 3 instead of 5 stage per level. Collectibles is pretty easy to find if search thoroughly but can be frustrated if miss one of the collection. If I miss one collectible I have to replay and went through the whole level until the final results screen to be saved and counted. I was so lucky that I manage to collect all collectibles in all bosses level especially the final level as the last boss is pretty damn frustrating and annoying that I almost pull my hair out. I would like to thanks "*********Legend" for reminding me that I have this game in my backlog and @BIGBLOCKCHEVYGUY for helping in all multiplayer trophies. "PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate" may be challenging in every boss battle but it start to feel repetitive when I reach level 4 and not to mention I hate the collectibles save system. This platinum have become my first in 2019 but the hard work was done in early 2018 and more to came in near future. thefourfoldroot
Just got the plat for Yonder. Fantastic little game. Unfortunately it is necessary to use a guide for one trophy (having to luckily stumble upon collectable that have no clues and only appear in certain seasons at specific times of the day? Wtf?). Popular Post Nyariu
#18 God Eater 2: Rage Burst 神喰の極致 すべてのトロフィーを手に入れた Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 6/10 A long time ago I played the first one on the PSP and while this one I think its better still lacks in some areas like how the story is told(the pacing is weird for me at least), the variety of missions and the menus, nevertheless its a good game but I would recommend to play it just to finish the main game and go for the platinum only if you got friends to play with or have good patience.
Popular Post Terra
#160 - Senran Kagura: Bon Appetit Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 3/10 This was a massive disappointment for me since I really do like the series a lot and have enjoyed the other games to a certain degree. This one? It suffers from being too repetitive, not charming, a wasted story that isn't all that funny, and songs that don't really have a lot of variety. The trophy requirements made this a lot worse then it had to be. Completing the story gets you 100 songs but then you have to do another 100! Ugh! You are pretty much limited to one or two songs to achieve it the fastest so it ends up being a dull mash fest of buttons that made me mute the game to clear the remaining songs. It's my first plat of 2019 but not my favorite and for being #160, it's quite the disappointment

Popular Post FeralTurtle
#35: Furi It's been a while since getting a platinum, but wow did this game blow me away. I never felt so giddy after getting a plat for a game, at least in a long time. The adrenaline rush during the bosses was real, there were multiple moments that the boss would pull some crazy move (mainly talking about those final phases, whew) that would just own me but instead of rage it just left me smiling and laughing haha. This is actually probably my hardest plat, and also easily one of the most enjoyable. If you're a fan of action games then you'll love this game, or if you're new to it i'd still recommend it for the thrill. Huge props to the devs of this game for making one of the most swift and engaging skill-based action games ever made! Popular Post MissShake
It's been a minute since I posted in here, got a handful of easy ones since then~ #37: Detroit: Become Human DETROIT MASTER Collected all trophies! The last time I posted in this thread about a David Cage game, I said I had a love/hate relationship with him, and that I was sure Detroit is his best effort. I turned out to be right in that assumption, but the game is far from perfect. I found the Kara sections boring, and I didn't really like the stuff with Markus all that much either. But the Connor stuff... Oh boy that was a treat. I did like how they intertwined the stories together, and I especially liked how this fits into the ending in many cases. It's not a perfect game, but it does show that David Cage stuff is getting better. #38: Persona 4: Dancing All Night Dancing All Night Obtained all trophies. I'll level with you, I completely skipped the story of this game. When I saw how long some of those cutscenes could get, I just sort of realized that I don't care and just wanna dance. Going for the plat on this game is a little more annoying than with the other two games since you have to buy out the store, but the game has some pretty fantastic remixes so I can't say that I was too bothered by it. The track list also felt longer to me as well in comparison to the other games. Side note: I'm actually playing P4 again (not P4G, I don't have a Vita) and I'm enjoying it a lot more now that I am a little older. I have yet to find a Persona game that I disliked #39: Late Shift Platinum Trophy Acquire all trophies I heard that this was a movie originally, but then it got converted into a game or something? If that's the case, it shows. Late Shift is an entertaining movie despite some aspects that did sort of have me laughing (like that bowl is so ugly, I could buy something like that at a local Goodwill). As far as going for the plat goes, though, I mean... It's alright if you follow the short method like I did. Otherwise I can really see this getting old really fast. #40: Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight Dancing in Moonlight Obtained all trophies. Persona 3 Portable may be one of my favorite games of all time, so I had to make the only HD P3 related game one of my milestones. I definitely like the base soundtrack for P3 better than P4 and P5, so it's probably not a shock that this has my favorite tracklist of the rhythm games as well. It's really a shame that the Season Pass is as expensive as it is, or I would have snatched it up quicker than I am willing to admit lol. Again, the social link stuff was not as well done as the original game, but hey, I had too much fun to really be too bothered by the writing quality change.

Popular Post Redgrave
#143: Paragon God Eater - God Eater 2: Rage Burst Despite there not being too much of a difference between the first one it's still a pretty good game. I definitely welcomed the Blood Arts and Blood Rage systems they put in since it felt like you were actually making your character a bit stronger. With the third one coming out soon I hope they explain certain mechanics better and make the material search a lot more easier to navigate. I also hope the third one has more map variety since the maps in this one were a bit lacking but I can give some leeway since it was initially a PSP game. Still, it's a good game especially with friends. Once again I'd want to thank @Undead Wolf for playing this with me since it wouldn't have been as fun otherwise. ?
Popular Post cr1s
I guess writing a post for every platinum is out of the question these days. Huge update incoming as there's quite a bit of catching up to do! I'll leave my latest platinum (Mass Effect: Andromeda) for another post, as I'm still gathering my thoughts on it. #390 - Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD (Vita) Platamire Munch Unlock all other Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD trophies. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Munch's Oddysee is the second and latest main game in what is supposed to be a quintology (which, if we're lucky, will be completed by 2050 ). Initially released in 2001, Munch's Oddysee follows Munch (no shit! ) and the series' mascot Abe. Our two heroes are sent on a quest to rescue their respective species (Gabbit and Mudokon) from extinction and get the last can of "Gabbiar" (caviar) in the process. A pretty amusing story, and the Oddworld humor and charm are there and as good as ever. Essentially a puzzle platformer, Munch's Oddysee is the first game in the series to make the switch to 3D, whereas the previous games (at the time) were in 2D. You get to control both Munch and Abe (separately) throughout the story while solving puzzles and defeating the various enemies you encounter on your way. The puzzles are fairly easy and don't require much thought to solve. The game is divided into 23 to 25 levels (depending on your Quarma level) of different lengths (between ~ 5 and 30 minutes, depending on each level). While the main goal is simply to make it to the end of each level, the ending you get depends on whether you save or kill the Fuzzles, Scrubs, and Egg Crates that are scattered throughout the game. Each playable character has distinct characteristics that make him more efficient during a peculiar situation. For example, Abe is faster than Munch but cannot swim, and the opposite applies to Munch (although he can use a wheelchair that makes him travel faster). You will come across vending machines that provide you with "refreshingly twisted" drinks that give you new or enhanced abilities for a limited time (free of charge ), such as faster movement, higher jumping, and zapping enemies. Abe can also possess enemies using SpooceShrubs, which are also used to open doors. Oh, and he can fart too. That's pretty much the gist of it. Simple enough, but it works. Unfortunately, Munch's Oddysee is marred by technical issues on both PS3 and Vita, but those issues seem to be worse in the Vita version. The game would often freeze for a second and occasionally lock up my Vita when using vending machines, thus requiring me to force restart my Vita. It didn't happen too much, but when it did, it was kinda annoying, especially if that meant losing a good chunk of progress. At least the game auto-saves after every level, so there's that. The controls and camera aren't intuitive (well, it is an old game...), but I got used to them quickly. The platinum trophy requires you to do at least 2 playthroughs: one for Angelic Quarma (best ending), and one for Black Quarma (worst ending). That said, it will most likely take more playthroughs due to an awfully glitched trophy ("I Regrow Nothing"). For reference, I got that trophy on my first attempt in the PS3 version, but it took me 3 attempts until I got it in the Vita version. It even took someone on PST.org a dozen playthroughs (literally) before they finally got it. So yeah, I guess it somewhat depends on your luck. Besides that, it's your typical platinum trophy: miscellaneous trophies, a few trophies that require you to play the game in a certain way, etc. Nothing difficult or (too) time-consuming. Another amusing and fun game in the Oddworld series... when it runs well. I hope they'll actually finish SoulStorm this year as I can't wait to play some more Oddworld. #391 - Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition (NA) Hong Kong Legend Earn all the Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition trophies to unlock this platinum trophy. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Sleeping Dogs is an open-world game that takes place in Hong Kong and has you control Wei Shen, an officer of the law who ends up playing both sides of it. It was initially scheduled to be released as the third game in the True Crime series, but Activision cancelled it at the very last minute and sold its publishing rights to Square Enix, who revamped it and released it as the game we all know today. And what do you know, Activision eventually abandoned the True Crime franchise. Thank goodness Square Enix salvaged this game because such a great game wouldn't have deserved to end up in that predicament. It might look like a generic GTA clone, but there's more to it than meets the eye. Sleeping Dogs has its own flair and charm. From the enjoyable combat to the engaging story to the fun side content, it all meshes well together to make for a great game. If you're a fan of open-world games and/or are looking to experience an engaging story, make sure you play this one! #392 - Wolfenstein: The New Order (GER) Wolfenstein master Collect all trophies Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 #393 - Wolfenstein: The Old Blood (GER) The Old Blood master Collect all trophies Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Wolfenstein... enough said. But seriously, what more can be said? The gameplay is a lot of fun and there are some awesome combat sections. The story in each game is pretty decent as well. Highly recommended to any FPS fan. The German versions are entirely in German, but you don't need any knowledge of the German language to play them. If you've already played them in your native language and ever get the urge to play them again, just go for them and enjoy that awesome gameplay all over again! You can easily get them from the German PlayStation Store, and I assume it'd be cheaper than finding a physical copy. #394 - Danganronpa 1+2 Reload (PS4) Despair's Last Reward Earned every other trophy in the game Difficulty: 2.5/10 Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Danganronpa 1+2 Reload is a bundle that features the first two Danganronpa games. In other words... double the Despair! These games are part of the Hope's Peak story arc. In each game, a group of 15 "Ultimate" students is trapped in a school and forced to participate in a killing game. Basically, a murder happens in each chapter, and after a thorough investigation, the remaining students will have to participate in a Class Trial to determine the blackened based on a majority vote. If that vote is correct, then only the blackened will be executed, otherwise everyone except for the blackened will be executed. The executions can be gruesome and are always catered to the blackened's personality. Whoever is still alive at the end will get to "graduate", meaning they will go back to the outside world. Each chapter is divided into Daily Life, in which you explore the school, spend time with your classmates, and advance the story, and Deadly Life, in which you investigate the murder that took place at the end of Daily Life and gather clues related to it. The chapter culminates in a Class Trial, in which you must determine the blackened's identity. The cast of characters is diverse, and each character has their own distinct personality. Most of them initially come off as likeable, but even the few who don't aren't too bad. The soundtrack is quite immersive and great at getting you into the game even more. The gameplay mostly consists of interacting with classmates. In addition, you also explore the school and go through the Class Trial, the latter of which is an all-out debate war, with emphasis on refuting or consenting other characters' arguments. There are also some minigames that you will go through during Class Trials, but they aren't worth mentioning. The platinum is really easy, although it takes a small bit of effort due to School / Island Mode and Magical Miracle Girl Monomi. Those are side minigames that are separate from the main story and take a light-hearted approach to Danganronpa. Besides that, it's quite a typical platinum. Both games are part of the trophy list, and both feature some very similar trophies: completing the game, filling every character's Report Card, getting all endings in School / Island Mode, a few trophies related to Class Trials, etc. Despair Simulator Danganronpa is one of my favorite Visual Novel series of all time, and this is a great bundle for anyone who's looking to get into it and doesn't happen to have a Vita. If you have a Vita then you should obviously play the games there first! #395 - Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls (PS4) Pragmatism's Last Reward Earned every other trophy in the game. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Not much I can say about this one. Ultra Despair Girls is a third-person shooter spin-off game in the Danganronpa series that takes place in-between the first two games. Despite that, it's recommended to play it after finishing both games because of some spoilers. This game features a "kids vs adults" story that started off as dull but grew on me a bit as it progressed. The gameplay is fairly enjoyable. There are many types of Monokumas you will encounter throughout your journey in Towa City, each having their own distinct features: regular Monokumas simply rush at you and try to melee you to death, Siren Monokumas call for reinforcements, Bomber Monokumas shoot at you with grenades, etc. etc. Each chapter also features a boss fight at the end. That's one part of the gameplay. The other part consists of solving puzzles included in Arcade Machines, whose objective is to kill or sneak past an entire group of Monokumas to reach the exit of the room ahead. The game still features some Visual Novel elements, albeit to a lesser extent compared to the main games. I think the anime cutscenes are pretty awesome, though! The platinum trophy is quite straightforward: story-related trophies, collectible trophies, miscellaneous trophies, and some grinding. Although the game has 3 difficulty levels, there are no difficulty-related trophies. However, playing on a higher difficulty lessens some of the grind later on, and the highest difficulty isn't even that bad. So yeah, this game is a bit of a mixed bag for me, but it leans more towards being a good game, thankfully. I'd still recommend playing it, but what I wouldn't recommend is going in with high expectations. #396 - Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (NA) Harmony's Last Reward Acquire all trophies. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Since I've already reviewed this game, I'll just leave this here: I've rated the difficulty slightly lower this time as this is my second time going for the platinum, so it felt easier: I got "Monolithic Achievement" within an hour and a half of first attempting it this time, whereas it took me 8 hours the first time "No Stopping This Outlaw" only took me a few tries to get this time, whereas it took me a couple of hours the first time I was more prepared to tackle Despair Dungeon this time since I had taken notes of what worked (and what didn't) the first time And there we go. The journey to my 400th platinum continues! No, I don't know what it'll be. Edited January 12, 2019 by cr1s
Popular Post TheLastSurvivorD
#92: Bayonetta Acquire all Trophies Acquire all Trophies First platinum of the year for me, and really, I couldn't've asked for a better game for the spot than this one. There's just no other way of putting it: this game is awesome! Admittedly, it's one of the most ridiculous and over-the-top titles I've played in a while. But it relishes in all of that, and rounds out as a whole, into a captivating hack 'n' slash. If you're open to all of the light-hearted humor and innuendo, then what is there not to like with this? From the soundtrack, among them the different renditions of Fly Me to the Moon, to well-done enemy and level design, and on to the gigantic, epic boss battles. On top of that, there's the sassy, badass protagonist the game is centered around. And then, as expected of a Platinum title, the combat's both incredibly entertaining. Especially when you start flowing Bayonetta's more stylish combos together, as that's when the real fun with the game's combat really begins. The torture attacks and Climax kills shown at the end of boss fights, whether they be brutal, awesome, or simply amusing, couldn't be more satisfying to end a battle or boss fight with either. These culminate into the many hectic, action-packed battles throughout the game. And I enjoyed pretty much every second of them. Because of the ∞ Climax difficulty, and some of the trickier Alfheim Portals, the platinum trophy itself took more time than I'd expected it to take. Luckily, with the right accessories equipped, some item management, and a bit of planning, the both of them become easier to deal with. Once again, this was quite the wonderful and memorable thrill ride from Platinum Games. I really couldn't recommend it enough to anyone who hasn't gotten around to playing it yet. Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #177: Fallout Shelter (January 5th, 2019) Difficulty: 3/10 Excitement Rating: 4/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 60+ Hours Hardest Trophy: Overachieve Much? (Complete 100 objectives) Just this past summer Fallout Shelter was released on Playstation 4. For some reason it took Sony a long time to port this over from the mobile market. Is this Free to Play game worth looking at? In short, I don't like this game. Fallout Shelter is basically a free-to-play game, meaning you can download the game for free. However if you want to get your base up and going you have two methods: Time Skip and Microtransactions. Fallout Shelter is a base building type of game. If you played this type of game before on mobile devices then you know what to expect. You start out with a few basic dwellers and the basic room types. As your base grows you gain access to more rooms, but you also run the risk of getting your base invaded by such monsters as Radroaches, Mole Rats, Radscorpions and the terrifying Deathclaws. This game features other locations and the Wasteland in the form of quests. Building the Overseers Office gives you access to quests. Every room in the game can be upgraded, and thus when the Overseers Office is upgraded you can send out more dwellers on quests at a time. This was the best feature of the game in my opinion, as this is more than just sitting around letting your base collect resources. I spent a lot more time on Fallout Shelter than was probably doable simply because I felt that time skips were going to wreck my game save file if I were to go back in time rather than forward. However setting the date and time a few months ahead seems to fix this problem. This makes buying most microtransactions to be pointless, as time skip already gives you a lot of resources that you otherwise have to wait for. It's a shame I actually spent money on microtransactions, but this is a lesson learned. This game overall is not a bad mobile game, but it's simply not my type. It was very boring letting my base collect resources at a snail's pace, and going through 100 objectives was time consuming in itself. Why it took this long to get on PSN, I don't know. But it just wasn't a very rewarding experience for me, and generally most mobile games out there I get too bored after playing for a few hours anyway. If you enjoy the Fallout universe, then this game does it justice. Otherwise don't bother. Edited January 12, 2019 by Spaz

But I highly enjoyed this. Fun battle system, incredible soundtrack, and a pretty good story. Not exactly perfect, with a bit of slowdown here and there, and bugs that can force you to quit and load your last save.. That only happened once or twice, though. And not at all on my second playthrough, so . A really great JRPG-inspired indie game, in my opinion. Can't recommend it enough. Platinum screenshot: Spoiler At least it's not a black loading screen, I guess. Edited January 12, 2019 by DamagingRob
