Popular Post Ghost
KING OF THE MOUNTAIN Personal difficulty rating - 7/10 Fun factor - 9/10 Kinda cool playing this during the winter season. I really enjoyed playing this for the most part. I wouldn't have gotten this platinum if Ubisoft didn't add 3 more easier events that replaced the incredibly difficult levels of Fallen Rocks & La Fieuse. Even then, the platinum is no walk in the park, just more manageable. Reminds me of the time they patched the drinking game in Watch Dogs. I hated most was the meter called G-Force and if you don't land correctly, you can fall off. Even when I did a perfect landing sometimes, the meter still depleted FFS! I enjoyed the music. It made things less stressful when going for the hard events. Glad to have this platinum locked down! I would get the DLC if it was cheaper ($26 for season pass and another $26 for the last DLC pack. WTF!) Nice job Ubisoft for not including Road to the Olympics ? ? Edited January 22, 2019 by Ghost
Popular Post FluffyAssassin64
#104 - Marvel's Spider-Man "Be Greater" Collect all Trophies I'll be honest, I've never been the biggest fan of Spider-Man compared to many other heroes. I get that he's meant to be super strong and pretty much OP, but I've always just found him kind of 'lame'. That all changed with this excellent PS4 imagining of the character. Pete is still full of lame jokes, but I very much enjoyed this adventure. The big star here for me was the traversal around the city. The web-swinging was simple enough to get a hang of it quickly, but it never got boring in the 30-40hours I spent in the game. Just felt awesome and made you feel like Spider-Man (Dunkey reference haha). There was a lot else to love too. The main story and characters were all done very, very well, and I felt genuine emotions for many of them throughout the game. The ending - backed up by the incredible mo-cap and voices - was particularly excellent. The 'spectacle' of many missions - as expected - was also great, with many epic scenes and missions. The game is also gorgeous, with incredible lighting and detail throughout. Combat was much more interesting than I initially thought, with many ways to mix and match the gadgets and moves to keep things looking cool and feeling fresh. The added mobility and 'weighty' feel made it even better. I do have a few quibbles with the combat though; primarily with the (many) times that an enemy got stuck in the geometry, and the sometimes spotty hit detection. Overall a lot of fun, I just feel like there is some room for improvement. I have a similar view when it comes to boss battles. Some later fights look incredible and have some really cool moments, but ultimately just come down to dodging/running, waiting for a moment to stun the boss (throwing an item, webbing them) and hitting them a few times. The last boss fight, however, was pretty awesome I few other elements I really enjoyed were the music and sound effects (suitably epic, and super-hero-like), the suit unlocks (great variety in form and function) and the JJJ radio segments (hilarious ). It's not all fun-and-games though; there were a few weaker elements in this game. Though most of the campaign missions were interesting for different reasons, there were a few that changed the pacing abruptly, with some slow & somewhat boring segments. Don't get me wrong - I enjoyed them from a story perspective (mostly) - they were just kinda, well, meh. I have a similar feel with the side missions. Many of the 'extra' content (side missions, as well as other 'map filler') were fun initially, but quickly got repetitive. Even the 'villain-specific/introducing' ones felt like a bit of a let-down; especially when compared to the masterful missions in the Batman: Arkham series (in my opinion). I did enjoy many of the 'research station' ones though; they had enough variety to keep them interesting, and also played into the absurdity of the situation, which I enjoyed. The very lean 'minigame' offering was interesting early on, but again quickly got repetitive. Not 'bad' so to speak, just not as exciting as most of the rest of the game. The only other 'major' gripe I had with the game was - in my opinion - the weak stealth mechanics. Enemies were stupid, the segments could easily be cheesed (you can chain together the 'web takedown'/triangle move from distance on single targets to do the 'stealth challenges' in like 20 seconds), and there weren't enough stealth-specific abilities to keep it interesting. Overall it was serviceable, but compared to (again) the excellence that is the predator-segments in the B:A series, it felt a bit lacking here. Briefly; this is an extremely easy game to get the Platinum in. I played on 'Spectacular' difficulty (the hardest of the 3) and enemies hit hard, but it's still not a 'hard' game. Considering that you can get all the trophies when playing on 'easy', it's not an issue for the trophies. What did I think overall? Marvel's Spider-Man is an excellent game. It's funny, has heart, tells a great story, looks and plays well, and traversal in particular is a highlight. It's not perfect - by any means - but the potential for an excellent series is here. If Insomniac can grow and develop on their ideas like Rocksteady did from Asylum --> City, I'm excited for what's to come. Definitely worth a play, and a must-buy if you own a PS4. Game rating: 9/10 Plat difficulty: 2/10 P.S. I'm yet to play the DLC's (got them for cheap recently), and I'm excited to play them too. Just having a bit of a break

Personally I liked the Pirates Curse more, because I am more a fan of pixel art, also the story and weapons fitted better with me. But still a cool game.

Popular Post Deluziion90
Platinum #176 - Persona 5 Legendary Phantom Thief Earn all trophies. Fun: 10/10 Difficulty: 3.5/10 Feels: Over 9000 Gameplay: Before starting this game I've asked so many questions and watched so many clips and was hesitating about this game. Would I like it, is it too stressful to get all trophies, Do I even like the artwork/looks of this game. 2 Hours into the game and I was absolutely in love. Just amazed how much I got soaked in the story. The game was very simple to play yet advanced when it came down to getting crazy strong personas(looking at you yoshitsune). Soundtracks: Refreshing and very unique! I love the music I even got it on when driving to work lol. Though The past 2 weeks was a crazy addication. The only thing I could think of was this game Story: Solid 10/10. I grew so much on the characters and the ending even made me tear up a bit. I loved every single one of them and I felt kinda empty when the story was over. Maybe getting burned by some people but I preffer this story way above Red dead redemption 2 or God of War.

Popular Post NaseemJohn
#262 - Metal Gear Rising Difficulty: 9/10 Personal Difficulty: 7/10 Time: 30 Hours Score: 8.5/10 Pros: Short and sweet with some excellent combat, great bosses, killer soundtrack and despite being a short game there's a good amount of enemy variation. Cons: The amount of times I've died on harder difficulties or VR missions because of the god awful camera pissed me off quite a bit. It's easily the worst I've ever seen and only works when there's one or two enemies on screen which is rarely the case. The in game tutorial on parrying is poorly explained and normally that shouldn't be a con but it certainly is when parrying is by far the most useful mechanic. Popular Post RedSkyKing
Platinum #21 I Guess it's Time to Roll the Credits 22nd Jan 20197:14:19 PM This horrible port hindered my enjoyment somewhat. Stuttering, constant frame drops, and even a crash! As bad as I make it, it was tolerable. Super easy to plat and very disturbing! PS. I plan on playing the original PS2 version, or even a good emulation on PC (if there's one out there) to get the best experience! Popular Post Bullstomp
Bioshock 2 Very Rare - 5.80% Difficulty: 6/10 Fun Factor: 7/10 This game was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the strategic element of using plasmids/tonics in different environments/situations. This game also had great graphics and a solid story. I had issues adapting to the control scheme as it is different than other shooters but with some practice its not hard to overcome.
Popular Post Stormverse
So I picked this game up today since it was less than $5 and it's an "action RPG", so I figured cool, why not? Well, you can get platinum in this game in about an hour, and you get Vita/PS4 versions with the same purchase and they stack. So if you're into quick and cheap plats, definitely grab this one, it's extremely short and simple. It's not a very good game though, I'm disappointed with it but for less than $5 its no big deal.
Popular Post KaiserVendrix
Platinum #2! RAGE Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 My first Ultra Rare Plat, only barely though. Well this one took a lot shorter then I remember in the past, playing the game on Ultra Nightmare wasn't as bad as I once thought. I had a bloody blast replaying this game since I played it a bunch back in the day, funny how much I remembered about the game. Doing everything on Ultra Nightmare is pretty much cake when you get yourself the Nail gun from the DLC and slap on the Rebar attachment, you kill pretty much everything in a single hit even if they have amour! This would of been a 8/10 in enjoyment but it went down because of how much this game has buggy trophies! To a point where I had to replay the game from the start after putting 10 hours into the last playthough. But even with that it is still a little underrated gem and I'd say pick it up for yourself and see what happens.

Popular Post snakebit10
#267 Marvel's Spider-Man Be Greater Boy oh boy, What a fun an excellent game to play. Insomniac games did a great job with their adaption of Spider-man. My favorite super hero and comic book growing up. The story, gameplay and graphics are well done. Loved swinging around New York and just taking in the scenery. Everything about the game felt right. Some of the side content did get a little repetitive towards the end. The story was very engaging and I really hope they make another one so they can build on what they created. Over all 9/10 Enjoyment 3/10 Difficulty
