Popular Post JaM
#276 Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive AgeLiving Legend Awarded for earning all available trophies. I have this game for months now but decided to play it after the hype for this game has somehow died. And to be honest, near end of Act I, I was a bit confused for the praise the game gets, I find the plot a cliche save the world JRPG - and then Act II happened. Ok, now I get it. Overall, a great JRPG. The final battle is so satisfying and that credits... awww. See SE, turn-base JRPG is still fun, it is not too late to change FFVII remake gameplay. Even if you are not familiar with the series, it doesn't matter, you can and will still enjoy playing the game. Trophies are not tough as well, no missable trophy and tbh, I didn't mind the grind, RNG and even the Casino o.O Only 1 gripe though, no default name for Luminary. And yes, I almost consider naming him Trunks. Definitely recommended to anyone. Pfft, Professaurus. Edited February 21, 2019 by JaM
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#202: All Done Donut Country is my example of a SSS-game; Simple, Silly, but Satisfying. Coming off of My Brother Rabbit which followed the artsy dramatic tone of storytelling, here is one with a goofy premise involving a conspiracy involving an underground raccoon society, fun characters who are made up what I can tell one human and the rest cartoony animals, and a whole lot of charm to carry you through, complete with dorky soon-to-be-dated but somehow funny LOL SO RANDUM TEH HAXOR dialogue. The gameplay is pretty unique to me as well; quite simply, you feed an ever-expanding controlled black hole (it won't destroy the world, but it will make a mess of your city block), ever so often having to do some light puzzle-solving brain-teasing to figure out how to get some of the more out of reach items. The list is of course easy, though a guide will probably get you through even faster than going on your own. So anyone deliberately avoiding common plat titles, I recommend swallowing your pride and going through this one. I mean, it IS a pretty cool looking plat.

Popular Post Lillia
Platinum #9 Spiderman Be Greater Collect all Trophies Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Lots of people were talking about how good this game is so I picked it up recently and I was not disappointed. As a huge marvel fan this game had one of the best interpretations of Spiderman in my opinion. (especially the last boss fight which was so well made) Great game, I really enjoyed it and the trophies were pretty fun to collect. This game ain't too hard and ain't too easy. Overall: would recommend to everyone.
Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #183: Darksiders (February 16th, 2019) Difficulty: 4/10 Excitement Rating: 8.5/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 24 - 25 Hours Hardest Trophy: Aerial Predator (Kill 160 enemies while on the angelic beast) With Darksiders 3 that just came out fairly recently, I decided to finally give the Darksiders series a try after hearing a thousand reviews on how good it is. And I must say it is one of the closest things to a Legend of Zelda type game, only better. You are War, one of the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. A war breaks out between heaven and hell in the present day. A battle with War gaining the upper hand suddenly goes awry when he loses his power. He finds himself before the Council, and 100 years pass, leaving the Earth in a state of disarray and humanity gone. Soon War is tasked with an important mission, to kill the Destroyer. Darksiders is a very nice and chilled blend of God of War, Legend of Zelda and Metroidvania all combined into one. The combat plays much like God of War. There are various locations you have to visit throughout the game, with waves of enemies spawning that you have to kill in order to progress further. This is a hack and slash, meaning you will be attacking a lot with your sword while also blocking and dodging enemy attacks. On the Legend of Zelda side of things, there are dungeon like areas that take what made the Nintendo franchise famous and adds them here in Darksiders. Some dungeon like areas have several floors you have to explore. There are various puzzles you have to solve to progress further, sometimes to retrieve a certain important item that gives you new abilities, or a key that is required to open certain doors. You can get a map showing the entire area, including portions you haven't yet explored, and a special chest item that reveals the location of all the chests in the given dungeon. This is very Zelda esque, which I highly appreciate and respect because this is paying homage to the classics. Some areas of the game can't be accessed until later on, which draws the comparison to Metroidvania because the Metroid games and games like them play in the same fashion. The story was fairly decent. While nothing spectacular or special it was good enough for the game. I knew Mark Hamill right off the bat because you cannot ignore that distinct Joker voice of his. The other voice actors did a fine job voicing the characters. Overall Darksiders is a pretty good game. It could of done without some of the grind, for instance one trophy requires you to ride your horse for 100 miles, which I ended up rubber banding my controller and leaving the game on for a few hours. Aerial Predator was a pain in the ass and easily the hardest trophy in the game because you have to be knowledgeable about what enemies are going to pop up on the screen. There were a few tough fights in Darksiders, but I would put them at the same level as the God of War games. If you want a solid hack and slash you can't go wrong with Darksiders. Whether you played the original like I did or bought the remastered "Warmastered" edition for the PS4, it's well worth the money and the time you'll spend on it.

Popular Post Undead Wolf
I popped 5 platinums today for the Vita's 7th anniversary event. I've been working on these for a while. #237 - Undertale Don't You Have Anything Better to Do? Obtain all other Undertale trophies. #238 - Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X Trophy Master All trophies unlocked! #239 - Miracle Girls Festival トロフィーマスター 全てのトロフィーを獲得した #240 - Cosmic Star Heroine Heroine Achieve all possible trophies. #241 - Muramasa Rebirth Master of the Oboro Style! Obtained all trophies! I already wrote my thoughts about most of these games somewhere in this thread, so I'm not going to go into much detail about each game here, but I will give a few thoughts. To get the negative out of the way first, I hate Undertale with a passion. I doubt I'll ever understand why it's so popular... Cosmic Star Heroine was a decent game, but I was kind of put off by the character designs and the story didn't really interest me. It was alright. I'm very happy that I was able to finally 100% both Muramasa Rebirth and Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X. I started the former well over 4 years ago and I've been playing the latter in short bursts for about a year and a half. Pretty tough plats too! I had lot of fun with Miracle Girls Festival which is basically a rhythm game with characters from a bunch of different anime. Some really great songs and my anime "want to watch" list has definitely grown after playing it.

Popular Post ex10097
Popped 8 platinums for celebrating Vita's 7th anniversary! I don't know about other people, but for me the Vita is never going to be a dead console, at least until I finish clearing my large backlog. Energy Cycle Edge Enjoyment 2/10 Difficulty 1/10 (with guide), 10/10 (legit) These puzzle games always feel super difficult to me, so if there are people who can solve this legit without any guides, then Congratulations! You have earned the trophy: Puzzle King Broken Age Enjoyment 4/10 Difficulty 3/10 Game was decent but having a large number of missables meant that I had to refer often to a guide as I didn't want to go through another full playthrough. Then the 1 hour speedrun was a pain too. Game would have been a lot more fun if it weren't for so many missable crap, plus those annoying puzzles that you need to get right in one try, especially the knot one and the final crane game. I prefer to explore every possible dialogue and using all items on NPCs for different interactions so would have preferred most of Broken Age's trophies to be like that, instead of those complete the puzzle/quiz on first try. As for the actual game, starts off really slow about the perspectives of two people who you can freely switch between and have completely different lives. One of them is living in a spaceship in Outerspace, while the other seems to be in a town that is a mix of modern/primitive cultures, but leaning more heavily towards the past. You would think both of them are living in completely different timelines, but BAM! There is a major cliffhanger at the end of Act I. It was a short okay game I guess. Maybe something to play as a change of pace, except for all those retarded missables. Yomawari: Midnight Shadows Enjoyment 7/10 Difficulty 4/10 Much longer than the previous game, with more areas to explore (including some parts of the town from the first game even) and more postgame stuff to do, like befriending a certain nameless girl in the next town. Ghosts are much easier to deal with in this game, but conversely the bosses are a lot more of a pain, especially the final one with all those random meat dropping all over the place and instantly killing you. It's annoying having to run back every time and watch the same cutscene over and over again as you figure out the mechanics. The battle itself isn't that difficult, but unlike all the previous boss battles which required some skill, the final one felt more like random luck lol. The ending however feels like complete garbage to me. Spoiler I mean you go through all that shit and even end up losing your arm in the process, and what do you get in return? Nothing!!! Your best friend remains dead. At least in the first game you get to save your sister at the cost of losing an eye but in this one, you lose an arm and to add more insult to the injury, fail to save Yui. Seriously left a bad taste in my mouth. Isn't the whole point of playing games to aim for the best possible ending? Unlike certain games that reward you with a horrible, messed-up ending for achieving 100% completion. Almost as if the developers are telling you to go and get a life instead of slaving away for full completion (FFXIII-2 anyone?). Ahh maybe that's why the final battle is so shitty and luck dependent. So you don't get to see the game's ending lol. Apart from that, YMW is still great and fun to play. No majorly annoying trophies to deal with like in the first game, with the chicken quest or playing for 50 hours. There are loads of mysteries in both towns. Like collecting all the strange parts and throwing them into a shiny glowing circle of light, will cause an actual UFO to appear! Leaving behind a mysterious glowing rock, which upon taking to your room will result in someone ringing your doorbell. But upon exiting the house there is no one in sight except for a cassette player lying on the ground. Who left it behind????? The aliens? The spirits? I know! It must be ghost aliens! After completing a certain deceased dog's event, you even get a cassette which allows you to listen to 2 nice tracks in your room using that cassette player you got as thanks from the aliens lol. In both games, the tutorial ends on a shocking note and plays a significant role that will only be explained near the end. If you are going to play YMW, then don't forget what happens in the tutorial cuz near the end of the game............... Punchline Enjoyment 6/10 Difficulty 3/10 Exterminate humanity by staring at panties for too long. Lol WTF?! Japan lol. A weird game where your body is taken over by an unknown entity, forcing you to exist in a ghostly form and trying to get your body back with the help of a ghost cat. The first half of the game features gameplay slightly similar to the Zero Escape series, where you use poltergeist-like powers to move stuff around to scare people and increase your spiritual powers, then carry out a chain of tricks to make stuff happen. While making sure not to stare at panties for too long, or the world gets destroyed. The second half features VN-like gameplay but trying to deviate from the anime will result in the same bad end, making you question the point of even bothering to include these choices. The game expands more on the anime with more depth and detail, with a better ending but essentially the same as the anime otherwise. Definitely not worth the full price imo, so good thing I bought the game at half price. Watch a few episodes of the anime and if you like it then buy the game, else don’t bother. Incidentally if you're interested in checking out more 'Lol Japan does it again!' games, then try Akiba's Trip Undead and Undressed (Fight pseudo-vampire otakus in Akiba by stripping their clothes off and exposing them to the sun. Very accurate recreation of the actual Akiba in Japan. Great game that deserves at least a 9/10 in terms of enjoyment) Galgun Double Peace (FPS game where you fight off waves of girls trying to confess to you by firing pheromone shots to bring them to ecstasy, and stop them in their tracks as they are completely in a daze lol, in order to score with your true love before the day ends or become forever alone. Even has a True Love route where you can score with any of the countless different NPCs in the game, as well as hilarious bad endings. I personally liked the True Love Route’s Bad Ending the best because Ekoro fails her Cupid Exam and eventually becomes your housewife, greeting you in a nude apron! Another ending I liked was the Ekoro and Kurona ending: Angel and Demon girls competing for you!) Conception II (Save the world by classMATING with 7 girls to create star CHILDREN in a very questionable ritual which gets more and more brazen as you deepen your relationships, even featuring TRImating and classMANting. The dungeon crawling aspects are very bland and boring but the game’s saving graces are the likeable heroines and decent plot+PLOT with multiple endings, including a harem) Criminal GIrls 1&2 (Highly recommended to try. Slightly challenging gameplay that will keep you on your toes and awesome character development for all the heroines, plus very good harem ending in both) Mary Skelter: Nightmares (Loveable heroines from various fairytales like Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Rapunzel. Enjoyable dungeon crawler with invincible bosses that will randomly appear and chase you with your map disabled, until you successfully escape from their range. Need to break a core located in the dungeon protected by a guardian to make these Nightmares vulnerable. Although the MC is a useless JP dense beta loser and ending is quite open and lackluster, the girls and gameplay are what makes this game good. Plus the postgame dungeon is insanely long, with three floors, each equal to an entire main game's several floor dungeon) Valkyrie Drive: Bhikunni and Senran Kagura series (Watch BOOBS break the laws of physics over and over again as a true man of culture)
Popular Post ex10097
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Enjoyment 9/10 Difficulty 3/10 Although I played the game on PSP a couple years back, felt like going through the whole experience again. A murder mystery escape type game. You start off going to an ultra elite school because of a lottery, netting you the title of Ultimate Lucky Student, but little do you know that what awaits you is the complete opposite of lucky. You and your other classmates wake up in a school with metal plates boarding up the windows, and what seems to be a bank vault security door complete with gatling guns blocking the only exit out. The only way to escape is to murder one of your classmates without getting found out by the others. And a bear that keeps providing you all with more motives for murder. After a murder, a trial will be held where you all investigate for clues and debate with one another (similar to Phoenix Wright in Ace Attorney, but a stupid Counter! instead of Objection!) to figure out the real culprit because voting for the wrong person means the guilty party gets to leave while everyone else is Executed! A game full of hope, despair, betrayal and PINK blood (for censoring I guess?). If you haven’t been introduced to the Danganronpa series yet, then this is a good place to start. Game wasn't too bad except for School Mode. Having to play through it four times was annoying, but only the second playthrough was the hardest as aiming for building all backups for the tickets wasn't too easy when only two of my character's gathering skills were maxed out. Had to balance building backups, upgrades and cheat sheets, but easier on your third and fourth playthroughs once cheat sheets become unnecessary. Not difficult but annoying having to repeat the same thing again and again for all character endings. One of them was quite hilarious though. The crazy fortuneteller dude predicted that both of your kids will have the same mother and when leaving the school he'll be like: "Let's go brother. We need to search for the mother of our children." Lol. Given how you could end up building romantic relationships with all the female characters in that 'What If?' School mode, it feels like a School Days ending (Boat anyone?) will happen with Makoto getting stabbed in that alternate universe. I mean seducing the Ultimate Martial Artist, Ultimate Soldier, Ultimate Gambler, Ultimate Sleuth and Ultimate Homicidal Killer at the same time? Dude is definitely going to have a very short life expectancy in that alternate possibility as even his plot armor of the Ultimate Lucky Student won't be able to save him lol. Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Enjoyment 9/10 Difficulty 4/10 Really enjoyed my time with it, with the only downsides being the annoying grinds for pets, gacha and Monomi mode. The logic in the sequel is a lot harder, with some of them not being very clear. Most of the new mechanics are okay, except for the "Improved" Hangman's Gambit which is clearly a major downgrade imo. I mean hangman is supposed to be a game where you figure out a word by guessing with random letters, not by guessing each letter in a specific order. At least in the first game, some of the letters are already filled in, allowing you to figure out the word without too much difficulty. But in the sequel, the word is completely blank and you need to combine letters and actively eliminate wrong letters and shoot the right ones in the correct order otherwise risk losing a lot of influence from their collisions. Gets really annoying in later debates as letters are all over the screen moving quite rapidly. Logic Dive was quite fun to play, as it's kinda like skating/surfing. Monomi mode is a minigame where you fight monsters by drawing circles around them, ending with a boss battle each time. Was okay until you find out there is a trophy for collecting all 60 equipment that have a very low random drop rate. Cuz of that, you’ll have to replay stages many many times so better to keep playing Monomials mode whenever you complete a chapter to lessen the grind you’ll have to do at the end. The pets were an interesting feature but a huge pain cuz of the retarded amount of steps you need to take for the final stage, plus there are 6 pets you need to fully raise. Although there is a trophy for walking 10k steps, in reality you need to walk around 19k steps for raising all pets. Good news is that fully raising a pet nets you a lot of coins for the gacha. Island mode is a lot easier to deal with than School Mode from the previous game. The items Monomi requests are quite easy to build, and collection levels don’t need to be very high to get all that you need for building. Overall, game was quite enjoyable, though a bit grindy, and I did love how epic the final class trial was, with three characters from the first game making a reapperance at the end to help out. Quite a shocking revelation at the end similar to the first game. The Danganronpa 3 anime starts right after the events of Danganronpa 2 and quite a lot of shocking developments happen in the first ‘Future’ episode itself. It's nice to see how the first 3 Danganronpa games tie into the anime, but man does things get darker and seriously messed up as you keep watching further. Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors Enjoyment 8/10 Difficulty 5/10 Quite a bit shorter than the first game but story is more well-paced. Much easier to earn CM for "Motivation" (S&M lol) in this game, but difficulty spikes are all over the place. Say you can easily defeat the mobs in an area, you wouldn't expect the boss to be much of a challenge right? Wrong. The difficulty of the bosses seems to be completely unbalanced, forcing you to either grind a lot or depend on both luck and items to win at lower levels since I couldn't be bothered to grind much. Especially in the shadow boss battles. The other shadows are easy enough to deal with, but the first one is completely broken. She keeps casting AOE confusion attacks and since you can use only 1 item at a time to heal 1 status effect per turn, you are busy healing everyone's confusions to stop your party members from wiping each other out lol, only for her to confuse everyone again. And she can F**KING heal herself to boot! Your only hope of winning is to use Ice attacks twice on her to lower her accuracy plus paralysis and hope that RNGesus is on your side. Most of the time it's not as AI will randomly select attacks/skills every turn, and AI can be really shitty sometimes. For the first half of the game, it is better to use Shinoa, Sui, Yurine and Mizuki. If you change their attributes to S, then you can coach all of them to increase their damage and this is invaluable in boss fights. For the latter half, better to use Tsukasa, Yurine, Lily and Kuroe once they have learned their useful skills (especially Ice) with S attributes for coaching. Ice is just as OP here as in the original. Decreasing an enemy's speed means decreasing their accuracy and is also very effective on bosses. It's super annoying however that you need to beat the final boss and the post game boss eight times in a row to see all the normal and special endings. And the postgame one is no pushover, but at least you level up each time you beat it. Hotline Miami Enjoyment 6/10 Difficulty 6/10 A retro game similar to the old GTA I and II back in the PS1 days. The game is basically about getting phonecalls with messages that sound relatively harmless and make you seem like a guy who accepts a lot of odd jobs, but in reality is about driving to a location where you need to kill off EVERYONE! There are a variety of different ways to kill, like using your bare fists to knock enemies onto the floor/wall before delivering a finisher (or one hit barehanded kills if you wear a certain mask), using various melee weapons like golf clubs and katanas, or firearms like submachine guns and shotguns. Game is extremely bloody and doesn’t hesitate to show you crushed skulls, decapitated heads, severed limbs, etc. Unfortunately, your character can die in one hit so expect to die many many times in this game. There is a checkpoint in every floor that only activates after you kill everyone on that floor, so gameplay is about how you kill them all without getting killed yourself. There is a trophy about dying 1000 times that doesn’t even need to be farmed! So you can tell how difficult it is at first, but dying over and over again will slowly allow you to improve to the point where you can eventually get A+ in all levels without too much difficulty. As for the plot, it didn’t make much sense to me with too many confusing aspects to it. Game seems to progressively get weirder, as after a mission you always talk to the same guy in whatever location you choose to visit, whether it be a supermarket, pizza shop or movie. That same dude will always give you free stuff saying it’s what friends should do. But when you begin seeing dead people everywhere you start wondering whether the MC is sane or some kinda crazy drug addict. The changing state of your apartment will also give you some insight into the daily lives of the MC and his eventual girlfriend. Only when I read a few articles about the supposed story of Hotline Miami did this convoluted story begin to make some sense. But ultimately this game is all about the developers asking you: “Do you like hurting other people?” This article here describes the hidden implications and messages in Hotline Miami quite well so give it a read if you’re interested: http://gamasutra.com/blogs/RamiIsmail/20121029/180408/Why_Hotline_Miami_is_an_important_game.php If you want to know the chronological lore, then read this but beware of spoilers for Hotline Miami 2: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=407523040
Popular Post NaseemJohn
#263 - Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed Difficulty 8/10 Personal Difficulty 7/10 Time: 30 Hours Score: 8.5/10 Not much to say about this one other than the fact that I had a great time playing it and that it's personally among my favourite cart racers. When I first started this game i found it pretty damn hard until i learned the tracks by heart and everything became easier. I was originally leaning towards a 6/10 difficulty rating but then I got stuck for about 2 hours on the Ice valley time attack which is the hardest one because of that dumb corner at the very end. If you're going for this platinum I suggest you skip easy and normal entirely as it's way too easy and doesn't represent what you'll be facing on expert.
Popular Post Captain_Bone_666
# 45 - Mad Max My platinum before this was Burly Men at Sea (really a waste of time) and I failed to finish Iconoclasts (didn't like it and no plat anyway) and Bulletstorm (too boring). So, I am really happy to have completed Mad Max. I enjoyed it and didn't mind the bit of grinding towards the end, which I had expected to be much worse. What spoiled the fun a little bit was the constant fear of the various glitches that seem to be encountered by many players. At the end it seems I got lucky - no glitches, no crashes, no problems. Just good clean fun,
