Popular Post Undead Wolf
#249 - Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae Complete domination All the trophies unlocked So this is definitely not a good game and it pretty much has a non-existent budget, but still, I can't deny that I had some fun with this one. I didn't pay very much for it either. The game has 6 stages, most of which consist of wave survival against generic enemies until you reach a boss fight at the end. It gets pretty repetitive, especially since the strategy is the same for 90% of the game. You have to do 5 playthroughs too, but thankfully, the game is pretty short. It's actually kind of a tough plat, mostly due to the fact how there's a one hit death mode you have to beat, and there's a certain enemy and boss fight where you're pretty much forced to parry them. Not tough in a good way, but it feels very cheap at times. Even despite all this, there's just something about this game that made it enjoyable for me. Probably the Japanese school girl protagonist who flashes her panties a lot during moves, I dunno. But yeah, the game was just something to do when watching/listening to other stuff. There are definitely worse games on the PSN.
Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #169 Farm Together Master Farmer Unlock all other trophies I love this game. Got me on a farm/sim kick with other games waiting to plat this one... while still playing since it's fun. I just wish the other DLC would come out already so I can fill out my farm with different stuff. But there's another event in 6 days to look forward to. The game isn't perfect, the main menu is misleading on what's possible. It has a lot of curved roads and a road leading straight in the middle of a 2x2 building which is impossible. Everything is grid based and at best you can put things on the lines of the grid (fences, lights, sprinklers). The most annoying part of this is that the environment isn't limited to that. So it has little lakes and cracks filled with water with little bridges on them, and hills and raised platforms and they can have rounded parts so it's hard to get something going with them that looks alright. But it makes it a nice challenge to make something pretty out of it. Which is actually kind of nice. Makes you be creative. I do wish roads worked differently though as that's the most awkward aspect. Especially since every big bridge is at an angle so there's no way to properly lead a road to it. It'll always be awkward. And there's stuttering every so often. Especially as someone joins your farm online. A patchnote said they fixed it for the online joining, but I haven't been online since someone harvested my animals when I asked not to with my start up message... and I haven't been able to load up other farms for awhile anyway. More on why I don't want animals harvested later. I like that crops, plants, fish, animals, the farm itself, you (farmer) all have their own levels. I think that's really neat. RPG mechanics make things more engaging for me. And I've just unlocked the final animal after leveling up the last type of sheep I needed. Now I have everything. All flowers, animals, etc. I need more! D:< The biggest issue from a gameplay is the animals. They run counter to the general feel of the game. They require constant micromanagement. Unless you place a farmhand on them. And generally that would be fine, but there's a item called a "feeder" that costs 4 ribbons (the most valuable currency for your farm; tickets are only used for farmhand payment and indoor item purchases so aren't as important in my view and they're way easier to get). Anyway, the feeders cost 4 ribbons and also need constant micromanagement. They only feed two times as far as I can tell. So it barely minimizes how much you have to check your animals. And unlike EVERYTHING else, the animals flat out stop their progress when not fed. So unlike everything else you can't get them harvest ready when you aren't actively playing. Since farmhands don't function when your farm is off [that would be a waste of tickets]. Feeders do function while off, but they don't last long. To compare to how terrible it is. The sprinkler. It may only water 2 squares, but it works at all times. There's no micromanagement involved. And it halves the time it takes for a crop to be harvestable. And makes sure that flowers are as valuable as possible. (the flowers give out based on how filled up their water meter was during the time until their harvest; no water means less money/crystals) And sprinklers... are only 1 ribbon. I have them in all my farm plots and flower areas. Meanwhile I only have one feeder. Feeders are a total waste and everybody thinks they/animals suck. This is why I don't want people to harvest the animals. Because when you get a quest that involves harvesting animals they take foreeeeeever to accomplish. So having a bunch of animals ready to harvest really cuts down on the process. Other than animals I love how the rest of the mechanics work. It has a nice natural progress from focusing on earning enough gold to be able to manage the basic farming needs. To earning crystals to buy better things and expand your farm. And you buy the stores/stands which you use to exchange all your materials or crystals. Certain ones will give you a new material like jam/cheese which you then use at another store to exchange for ribbons! And eventually the ribbons become your focus. It keeps you motivated toward something at all times. Definitely going to keep on playing the game.

Popular Post Dragon-Archon
#198: Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance I was looking forward to this game a lot, since it was a KH game I didn't play before. But it turned out to be a horrible experience. As usual, let's take a look at the good things: I like the Flowmotion mechanic, that makes it easier to traverse areas, which have become bigger and bigger since KH1. The game has some new brand new worlds and Hunchback of the Notre Dame surprised me a lot, as I don't really like the movie. My biggest issue from KH Birth by Sleep was solved: the story doesn't require multiple playthroughs with a character and the reports are shared. The things I disliked are: the worlds don't add anything to the overall story (far less compared to previous games), the pokemon mechanic feels out of place in Kingdom Hearts, the Flick Rush mini-game is a boring KH Chain of Memories-ish card game where the opponents cheat on the highest difficulty by immediately cancelling an attack and going into defense mode, there are way too many secret portals (78 in total) and you only have access to 1 per world per character. Switching between characters randomly unlocks a new portal, so completing them all is a boring chore as the game will open ones that you've completed before. Now that doesn't sound too horrible and it isn't. However, the reports have glitched trophies. I encountered that glitch and reloaded an earlier save file (about 10 hours of post-game clean up had to be redone) and it still didn't unlock. Afterwards, I deleted everything and started a brand new playthrough, doing everything over again... and the trophy still didn't pop. So, afterwards I re-downloaded the save from the first playthrough again and thought to give it one more try before giving up. And this time it popped when fulfilling the requirement. I have no idea what caused the glitch, nor what solved it, but I'm glad it worked in the end.
Popular Post Hayke7
#41 - THE WALKING DEAD: THE FINAL SEASON I mean, where to start. It's been a 7 year long journey that at one point looked like it never would see the end but here we are. Platinum in hand and a journey completed. What an incredible journey it has been and this plat means just so much more than my average plat or hell even the normally ridiculously easy TellTale plats. This one actually had missable trophies at some point! But more than that it's just been a really fun, enjoyable, emotional journey with a favorite character of mine and I'm glad to pick this platinum up as a symbol of having reached the end.

Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #170 Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of the Night and Castlevania: Rondo of Blood A Miserable Little Pile of Secrets Unlock all trophies for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. Even the description thought the name was a mouthful and tossed "Requiem" out. First time I've actually finished Symphony of the Night. Not that I didn't love it already, but I suck. But I finally did it. I had a lot of problems beating the game with Richter, I went through that spike room to get to the clock room and that spin dash move thing is hard to do at all. Let alone in the air and multiple times in a row. Gotta give credit to the music, because in SotN when I was farming to buy the replicator. One room over and over and over, I didn't get tired of the music at all. Getting 200.6% was more annoying due to map glitches in this one. Takes awhile for square to register and in the inverted castle some of the underwater squares are a huge pain. I wasn't intending to platinum this, since I figured Rondo of Blood would be too difficult to me. And it was really hard for me as Richter, but as soon as I got Maria it wasn't bad at all. She turned the game from 'eh' to fun for me too. I've never been a fan of classic castlevania but I didn't really know there were games like this with different playable characters until much later and I think that may be my in for some of the older games. I wish there was a trophy for beating SotN with Maria too. That's my only real criticism of the game's trophies. It gives you a lot of things that you may have otherwise never noticed or done in the games. But it doesn't have you do anything with Maria in SotN. I'll still try it out though. Great game(s). Was tempted to save it for 200 then realized how far I am from 200 and nope. lol edit; gonna share my plat screenshot for once Spoiler Edited March 27, 2019 by Elvick_

Popular Post DesmaBR
Platinum #96 Father and Son Obtain all other trophies This really feels like this generation's Resident Evil 4. A massive reinvention of the franchise that could really use some shake-up, and one that just like RE4, I'd be willing to put it on my favorite games of all time. It didn't make me cry per se, but it sure hit me hard at some points. ... But this platinum is a paaaaaaain. Trying to go anywhere takes a ton of time, making backtracking to find stuff especially annoying; the map is unrealiable at best, and most of the collectibles you can only track how many you got, making you guess which ones you're still missing. Also, fuck those green birds that stay really far away, so you have to throw the axe just right.

Popular Post starcrunch061
Already back to the plat thread with: Plat #328: Quest of Dungeons 100% Complete all Trophies. I won't lie - I bought this game some time ago with the hopes of completing the "Q" letter of the alphabet. But Quest of Dungeons was a pretty fun little game. It has a learning curve to it, and enough material to keep you entertained for 10-15 hours. The snake minigame was probably detested by most, but I actually enjoyed it (I ended up getting 1190 when I actually got the trophy). But that gold grind can go hang. Pointlessly slogging through the same dungeon 12 more times, just so I can pick up 500,000 gold was just terrible (I had long ago passed 1,000,000 total gold, but it only counts if you pick it up off the ground). it's a shame that this endeavor is my last memory of an otherwise good game.

Popular Post Charizarzar
#106: GTA IV Taking a Liberty Difficulty: 7/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Didn't think I'd ever finish this one (6 years, and who knows how long 100% will take ?), the multiplayer trophies are grindy and unnecessary and collecting the pigeons made me want to dropkick my controller, but it's still a fantastic game and I played with a great group for the co-op trophies which gave me some motivation to keep attempting the missions until late into the night. The co-op missions were probably the only tough part of the plat to be honest, the rest is just a grind-fest. #107: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Just another day at the office Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 This was one of the few early CoD titles I missed out on so I was happy to see this on PS+. I probably liked the campaign even more than MW2, and it was a relief to not have to do spec ops missions like the other two games. There were a couple of sections that drove me around the bend a bit (particularly One Shot, One Kill and Heat on veteran difficulty) but I've played harder CoD campaigns. Also loved finding out that MacMillan's name gets changed to MacMelon if you enable the giant head cheat. ? After doing a lot of grindy tophies lately it was great to just be able to play something that doesn't require too much thinking. #108: Far Cry Classic Paradise Memoirs Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 5/10 This one was an experience I guess. I'd been eyeing it for a while on the store hoping it'd go on sale but in the end just lost patience since I wanted to add another Far Cry game to the collection. The stealth is horribly broken which sucked to find out as that's more my style, but it was still pretty fun to go in guns blazing in every area and probably cut the time to plat in half. It shows its age in other areas like the freezing issues and the cheesy characters and cutscenes. Most annoying trophy was the one for keeping Valerie alive as dying yourself or reloading checkpoints would also fail the trophy, and she had a habit of blundering headfirst into battle so you had no choice but to run in after her. I still had fun with it though, it felt a bit more unique compared to the other Far Crys and it's a colourful game with surprisingly open areas despite being pretty linear. #109: Fifa 16 Football Legend Difficulty: 6/10 Enjoyment: 5/10 Finally, it's over. Don't think I'll be picking up another Fifa game for a while unless they miraculously have no online trophies. ?

I made it through the first World and after getting a very "rapey" feel from the main character Shin I was like "yeah VNs are just not for me" and skipped through the rest of the text. I know these games have an audience but I think I have tried to play enough of them (this is my third one...first that I paid for) and every time the characters just give off such a creepy vibe that I don't know whom to root for. Popular Post RedRodriguez87
On 3/24/2019 at 6:33 PM, Carol said: Like I said, I like @RatalaikaGames, although recently I have been disappointed by the fact that their recent trophy lists are made to basically give you a 15-30 minutes platinum. This is the reason why I haven't bought any of their recent games. Although they seem fun, I'm not interested in a game that I will only play for 15-30 minutes. We all know that the motivation isn't the same, when there are no more trophies to win. They say that because the game is cheap, the platinum has to be easy, but I don't understand the reasoning behind this. I love trophies, but my love for games comes first. So, I ask Ratalaika, can you add a little more effort to your trophy lists and instead of stupidly easy gold trophies, can you add at least a trophy for completing the game?! Your games are fun, so stop doing trophy lists for trophy whores! I was honest to god gonna write up how I feel @RatalaikaGames are actually decent investments for the short punchy content they provide and the price they are that are sold short by their lists not even asking you to complete the game, but Carol summed it up perfectly already. VITA & PS4 #218/219: Platinum hero OK, so technically @RatalaikaGames only ported this game, but the point about trophies is the same. I really wondered if you could've added a few more silver and gave a gold trophy for beating the game. I was actually curious to see what was past the plat, so I looked online, and didn't see anything. Not one bit about what happens next. So I figured, you know what, I wanna see what happens for myself, so I kept on. And.... I thought the end was pretty good, or decent for what we got narrative-wise. So much so, that when I went back to finish up the PS4 version, I made it a point to upload the ending myself and hopefully get people to keep playing. #217: SNK HEROINES Tag Team Frenzy You know, this game is in many ways exactly what I thought it would be; a perfect summary of the entire SNK library, at least in terms of what is released in the states; late to the party, desperate to impress to the point of embarrassing, and just not being very good at it. From obvious Ryu/Ken ripoffs Ryo and Robert, to the try-hard I'm-so-much-sexier-than-ChunLi Mai, to the constant multiple re/releases of the games, SNK always to me seemed to keep stumbling over itself trying to keep up with Capcom, and that continues into the modern era, where after trying and failing to keep fighting in the 2nd dimension made the jumped to next-gen 3d to lame unpolished results. So, it goes without saying that yes, of course, they would try to shove their female characters into a dumbed down cosplay waifu fighting game in an attempt I GUESS to capitalize on the moe titles like Senran kagura and Doa6, with the art for this game has every girl blushing and sweating with expressions that all say "kyaaaaa, don't look at my skimpily-clothed body". And guess what? It's not very good. The fighting system? It's advertised as a simple-yet-complex combo system revolving around a select few buttons ala Smash Bros, and while I'm sure people could break the game if they wanted, nothing about it feels refined, or even finished. The best way to sum up how I feel is, Smash 64's characters with their extremely limited moveset felt more complete than any character here. There is no crouching, blocking is mapped to a button instead of the simple act of holding back, and the manner in which you win -you don't deplete the enemies' health, but rather get them into a danger state and then finish them off with a Super Move ONLY- is incredibly lame. The Supers aren't even fun to look at; they are boring and generic as shit. The fanservice? Each character gets 3 costumes, a bunch of useless accessories, and nothing else. Every individual story is the exact same thing; "I wonder where I am? The guy running this operation is a pervert" and that's it. There is nothing titillating, sexy, or even fun about these characters or what they are doing, exacerbated by the fact that SNK had to go to nonsensical "the girls don't enjoy this and feel humiliated" route when it came to the games' tone. It's like "assholes, you are giving us freakin' wank material disguised as a video game. Why TF are you trying to act modest about it? You think these characters are coming back from this one with some dignity? You've been skirting the line already with some of these characters and their outfits, what are you trying to salvage? Just GO with it." Thing is, and I can't deny it............................. I payed for it. So the joke's on me. Well, i guess it's fitting that I bring up the next one-- #216: DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Master Trophy wise, almost the exact same as DOA5 Ultimate. Though, I will say that with 50 ranked wins and a 5 win streak now mandatory, it might take a bit more effort, especially with the matchmaking not as boost friendly anymore. In terms of tone, DOA6 seems to be going into a more serious direction, with more emphasis on action and violence and just a teeny weeny itsy bitsy less on fanservice. Of course, they tried that with DOA5, and we all know THAT didn't last. Ah well, I'm not THAT much of a sucker to pay over 100$ for add-on content, so no skin off my ass. #215: Storm Boy I tell ya, it seems like more and more these short easy gold and platinum only trophies are becoming more and more my jam. It helps that this game is based on a preexisting story, which itself is, of course, bittersweet. But hey, I say that because, I DID end up caring by the end. I won't spoil anything, but the game looks great, the gameplay is super simple, but fun, and the price really can't be beat. PS4 #214: SQUAREBOY VS BULLIES Welp, while I meant what I said above, I do feel like Squareboy is one of Ratal's weaker entries. It certainly captures the satisfaction and especially frustration of beat-em ups, but here's the thing, at least for me; beat-em ups always need some sort of visual flair to hold up. The game gives you a bunch of moves, but they are all so generic and boring. Sure they serve a purpose, at first, but when you get to later areas and you start to be swamped by enemies that can and WILL stunlock you, eventually you are gonna resort to spamming a cheap move. And what fun is that, especially when you get one life to beat a level, and they go on for minutes on end?
Popular Post Eramir
Platinum #38: Assassin's Creed: Origins Played the game with release, really enjoyed it. Always wanted to get the platinum but I couldn't get myself to go for all the locations. Now I did, and I'm happy with it. Really enjoyed it again and when straight on with the DLC (bought the gold edition, never played the DLC, until now) and I'm falling in love again. The platinum took about 50 hours, I'm surprised that the rarity is so high! On the other hand, its a great game! Next platinum probably will be PlayStation All-Star Battle Royale and #40 will be my favorite multiplayer game: R6 Siege. ?
