Popular Post ToTheEmber
Platinum #66 - Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Sekiro Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 6/10 All I can say is what a fantastic game this has been. I had been concerned about the difficulty at first, by what people have been saying about the game. However I seemed to pick this one up much faster than I did with Dark Souls or Bloodborne. The combat and game play is actually pretty fair when you get the hang of it, as it forces you to forget the basic instincts that you learned with previous From Software games. The world itself and enemies were beautifully designed and memorable. As much as I also love Bloodborne, I struggle to remember the majority of the bosses ? (Also, who could forget - MY NAAAAAAAAAME!). And Wolf himself, the man of many words, was a fantastic choice for a protagonist. I felt more attached to some of the characters in this game than ever before, and it was refreshing to take a step away from a faceless character for a change. It's been exactly 2 weeks from launch now and I can't wait to see what FromSoft will do next. Sekiro has officially broken me, as I am already finding it difficult to return to other games.

GTA_Darren
#223 - Legendary Fishing - PS4 Where should we start? When you see the game like Far Cry 5 or Red Dead Redemption 2 offers better fishing experience than the game only focus on fishing. You know there is something wrong. Legendary Fishing is just alright, overall it is not hard a plat, but a little bit grinding in the end, and it is annoying kind grinding. I don't mind to grind in the game like Farming Simulator, but for the game like this one, it gets annoying very easily. I am just glad it is over now.
Popular Post Dokusha
#91: The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince The latest installment in what I like to call Nippon Ichi's Creepy-Cute game series, The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince follows A Rose in the Twilight's lead in telling a fairy tale story involving two characters journeying through a large location, but instead of a girl and her golem, this time it's about a she-wolf-turned-into-a-human and a blinded boy-prince. This is NIS' most visually appealing game by far, with its lush hand-drawn graphics approaching Vanillaware levels of visual splendour, and the soundtrack really helps create this fairytale atmosphere, as if this game is an interactive storybook written by the Brothers Grimm themselves. The story may not be the most well-written or complex tale out there, but I found it thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. Which, unfortunately, came about rather quickly. This is an extremely short game: it's entirely possible to clear the story within three or four hours. It may have been a rather magical three-to-four hours, yet the fact remains that 20 euros/dollars for an afternoon's worth of entertainment is a bit of a steep ask. It's probably best to grab this one on sale. As for the trophies themselves, they were all quite easy. Since the game is a relatively straightforward puzzle-platformer with generous signposting and lenient trophies, you shouldn't be intimidated by challenges like "Clear X level in 3 minutes". Firefly Diaries this is not. Still, it was fun, and isn't that ultimately why we game in the first place? Popular Post Undead Wolf
#250 - Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of the Night & Rondo of Blood A Miserable Little Pile of Secrets Unlock all trophies for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. What an awesome plat image/title! I just had to make this game my 250th platinum because of that reference. This is actually my first time playing either of these games (shameful, I know). I've watched Symphony of the Night LP's and speedruns before, so I already knew how great the game was, I just never got around to playing it myself. I think that Requiem's addition of trophies gave me that extra motivation I needed. I started with Rondo of Blood which I knew very little about going in. It was actually a little tough for me since I'm inexperienced with classic Castlevania, but I had fun with it. Short and sweet. As for Symphony of the Night... what can I say? It's considered a classic for a reason and it holds up exceptionally well after all this time. Way more than most PS1 games, that's for sure. The pixel art in this game is gorgeous and I'm quite fond of the "Metroidvania" genre this game helped create, so the gameplay is right up my alley. I love it.

Popular Post yellowwindow7
Father and Son / Dad of War ? this game is a master piece! the gameplay is on to the point the sound effects and voice acting is very top notch the graphics is easily among the best looking ps4 exclusives. the game is so much fun and addicting ( if you know what you're doing right or wrong ) Kratos is so amazing and Boi is a good addition as thankfully Boi is not your typical escort NPC, he is a part of the gameplay and have a major role during combats, i mean Santamonica studio just rise the AI partner system in gaming to the next level. the reason why it took me 6 months to plat is because the following... my ps4 have run into an overheating issues, it ran more demanding games like Horizon and especially Uncharted 4 with no problems ( although the fan goes Jet Engine-like ) at first it was running fine until after a week or so as my ps4 will shut itself up the moment the start screen shows, this made me left the game for about 5 months until my brother decided to sent the ps4 for repairs ( it was just needed a new heat sinking compound ) and after i continue where i left the Stupid Niflheim BS happen and oh boy it's near impossible at " Give me a Challenge " difficulty, which have made me hate the game to some degree resulting me to leave it an extra 1 month without touching, then when i got back to it i had to lower the difficulty down so to be done with this " WORST PART OF THE WHOLE GAME! ".... and funny how i noticed some people at Power Pyx youtube trophy guide video is defending the games replying to anyone hating that part claiming it's just challenging and it's not required to beat the game forgotten the main reason why everyone is coming to the video and then commenting how they feel about this stupid part.... the Queen Valkyrie boss fight is a Challenge! Niflheim random generated dungeon with it's untested short time limit especially on higher difficulties is just some BS a drunk developer have accidentally farted.. put all the praise and rants aside, the platinum is easier than it looks, just don't waste your time by going through it on the highest difficulty possible on your first playthrough like i did, there's no difficulty related trophy on this game, just leave the difficulty at standard and go ( even on standard most of the encounters can be brutal ) and onc you done and start a new game plus try the challenge or god of war difficulty.
Popular Post NullSpace84
#31: Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus Picked this up on a discount & yeah, I could've paid more - Shinovi's legit! The Gessen and New Hebijo squadrons doubled the plot's potential from earlier in the timeline, and it showed - plus, I genuinely like Senran Kagura's more serious side, some gravity deftly mixed in with all the effervescent ecchi~ :> Having Platinum'd Burst Re:Newal earlier this year at launch, Shinovi actually felt like a proper 'sequel' in my mind's chronology! So playing EV -> BR -> SV out of order didn't disrupt me at all. The games became worlds slicker with Estival and Renewal on PS4, yet it was a treat regardless to return to this debut Vita entry and musou along with the lives of the Shinobi girls. That makes 4 Senran Kaguras played on PlayStation platforms for me, and lo, 4 Senran Kaguras *Platinum'd* on PlayStation platforms for me. Well then~ I like SK, I do, I do. *nod*

Popular Post TheActualMeg4cy
#50 - Gravity Rush 2 (PS4) 7th of 2019 "Ultimate Shifter" "Collected every trophy." I have to say - it is quite tragic that the servers for the game were taken down considering there really isn't any kind of multiplayer functionality other than people liking/leaving hints and stuff in-game. I only started playing GR2 long after the servers were taken down... which resulted in the annoyance of not being able to obtain every piece of unlockable content (they should have created some kind of patch even or just enabled all the items for people whom weren't able to be there originally). That said - enough about that waffle... about the actual game now: Gravity Rush 2 is *not* a bad game. It is misguided and sloppy, though. The controls didn't really cause me too much issues but for some reason to me - it felt like the gravity kicking mechanic in this version felt much worse compared to the original GR on the Vita. The story also fell apart for me from the very beginning - I just couldn't get myself invested into any of the characters unlike the 1st game. The missions were typically "follow this person, go here, carry that, talk to them, find that"... it felt tedious somewhat towards the end and then that leads me to the upgrading power-ups... why the hell would they make the requirement to fully upgrade at about nearly 2x to 3x times the amount of gems you'd have actually obtained playing through the game? (Assuming you got GOLD in all challenges prior to completing it!) You basically will have upgraded all of your power-ups last as a result of this requirement and by that point - you can't really take much advantage of the upgrades. That said - credit is due for the delivery of a rather decent looking game, considering the background it came from. That said - to me personally - it almost felt like the game was straight up ported from the Vita somewhat early through the life-line of the product and simply additional things like better draw distance and load-in were added over-time to make up for the original target platform. GR2 didn't do as well as Sony hoped and can only say that this is their own fault for not releasing GR2 on the Vita alongside the PS4 if they really insisted on a console release. Difficulty - 3/10 (Relatively Simple - Just Time Consuming.) Enjoyment - 6/10 (Not as gripping/solid as the 1st entry. That said - you will get more of Kat and Raven in here.)
Popular Post ShonenCat
Platinum #34 - Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax Difficulty Rating 3/10 Enjoyment Rating 7/10 Very Rare - 7.82% Fastest Achievers - #21 I have no clue what Dengeki Bunko even means. What I do know is that it's an easy fighting with characters from various anime, duking it out in SEGA game locations o.O I recognize a lot of these characters but haven't seen or finished a single anime they are from. During my initial playthrough, I decided to choose Shizuo as my go-to character for he seems badass and Durarara has always intrigued me. In fact, I would say it's the one represented anime here that interests me the most. There isn't much to say here, the platinum is very easy and straightforward, even if you're not very good at fighters. You'll play arcade mode with every character, a lot of the trophies come from that alone. The harder trophies involve beating survival, time attack and score attack under the said conditions. Score attack is probably the hardest of those three modes. You've got to try your hardest to finish each round with a climax art to achieve 300,000,000 points. I came close to doing it with Shizuo but had to end up using the basketball loli for she seemed to give more points for whatever reason. I heard there was a combo with Selvaria that makes for a brillant cheese method. While I haven't tested it myself, I trust my source whole heartily. The rest of the trophies will come from pulling off miscellaneous tasks in versus mode with two controllers (Vita players might need to get a boosting partner online). I did most of my needless grinding throwing vending machines at Taiga, and let me say putting that brat in her place felt so good ? The last trophy you will pop will be inflicting a total amount of 10,000,000 damage overtime. This goes by a lot quicker if you've got a turbo controller doing all the work That's Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax, a pretty decent fighter with room for additional potential. If you're into Sword Art Online, I feel like it should be right up your alley. I got my satisfaction from the Durarara and SEGA representation. Surely there is something here for everyone (:

Popular Post FarSideOfSaturn
#33 Assassin's Creed Odyssey - Epic Cycle - Earn Every Trophy Malaka! So, how do you follow up a game called Origins? By going even further back in time of course, all the way to Ancient Greece circa 431 BC, a time before Assassin's & Templars. The freedom vs order struggle that's been a main theme in the series is still present though. Whoever you choose as your character, Kassandra or Alexios could be described as proto assassin's, with the mysterious Cult of Kosmos who are out to hunt you and your family down playing the part traditionally played by the Templars. The struggle against the Cult of Kosmos is only one part of the story. The main campaign sees your character starting out as a simple mercenary before setting out across the Ancient Greece world with the ultimate aim of reuniting your family. Eventually your adventures branch out into a third storyline that sees you dealing with the more...mythical aspects of Ancient Greece with some implications for the modern day story. As you go through the game, whether it's main quests or side quests you're almost always given a choice of dialogue for the first time in the series. You could press someone for information, decide whether to show mercy or murder the shit out of someone, blurt out another characters secret in front of everyone. Mostly it's a choice between two extremes and the choices your given may an impact on the outcome of a quest or an NPC. It's a neat addition even if the available choices lack depth. Ancient Greece is kinda pretty The environment this all plays out in is stunning, and fucking HUUUUUUUUUGE. If you weren't going for the platinum there's no way you'd visit the entire map. From forests, snow capped mountains, rolling plains, marshlands, small settlements, large cities, caves and the ocean. There's a lot to explore and discover. My one complaint about the world is military camps and tombs can feel a bit copy and pasted to the point I no longer explore tombs unless I have to. Now that I'm thinking about it, I really miss the old style tombs from the Ezio Trilogy. Though scenes like this make up for the crappy tombs for the most part So the world is sprawling, how is that space used? Well as with most open world games the majority of NPC's wander around aimlessly, some carry out chores, occasionally you might see a portrait being painted or a soldier teaching his kids to fight. Soldiers also fight amongst themselves out in the wilderness, or you might see them fighting off a bandit attack, maybe even an animal attack. Of course that means the same random events can happen to you on your travels... Boars are fucking vicious, try leading a handful of them into a enemy fort and watch the carnage There's underwater locations to discover too, caves, shipwrecks, where you can pick up some pretty cool loot. One thing I loved was discovering real life historical locations (both underwater and on land) and learning about them via the ingame map. I'm gonna need a bigger boat. A bigger boat in this case being any fucking boat While I'm talking about the sea, naval combat is back! I fucking love sailing. Not too far into your journey you'll get on your hands on your very own Trireme that you can upgrade to better deal with combat out at sea. Combat is simple enough, brace to reduce incoming damage and strike back when there's a break in the attack. With enough money and resources you can equip your crew with flaming arrows, stronger armour and increasing ramming damage, amongst other important things that keep a ship from sinking. Ramming ships in half is my preferred method Boarding destroyed ships is another option Mechanically, the controls are really smooth and user friendly. I actually enjoy the fact you have a work a little to kill certain enemies, remember the Ezio trilogy where it was literally just dodge and counter for a one hit kill? There's a skill tree too that comes in useful, whether you want to be stealthy or charge in head first it's possible to customize Kass or Alexios to suit how you want to play, engraving and upgrading equipment can provide a further boost to your stats. Despite the enemy scaling system it's pretty easy to OP the shit out of yourself to the point you'll look at other mercenaries as nothing more than walking loot boxes. If you're going for the platinum, it's not difficult but it's gonna be a long one. The bulk of trophies revolve around completing quests and feats performed in combat with some collectibles thrown in there too. For me it was almost perfect, story and explorating is my thing. I made a point of clearing every "?" on the map (except tombs) so I finally popped the platinum at 181 hours but if you go straight for it, 60 - 70 hours (maybe even less) should be doable. I'm gonna leave it there. There's more I wanted to talk about and go into more depth on the points I did discuss, but you people have lives to live! I'm going to go for the 100% too so I can always expand further afterwards in other threads. Overall then... + Beautiful environments + Great atmosphere and soundtrack + Smooth controls on land and at sea + Dialogue wheel is a neat addition + Loads of great side quests and places to explore - Main campaign and ending(s) are disappointing - Some textures like waterfalls and rock faces look a bit pixely up close - Voice acting and conversations can be hit and miss and sometimes feels unnatural Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Edited April 6, 2019 by FarSideOfSaturn

Popular Post Ala-Arska
Sky Force Reloaded Platinum Platinum B2??? Yup...we're on an express elevator to hell, going down! Shmups are hard. But still awesome. But mainly hard. I absolutely loved Sky Force Anniversary on my Vita. So much, that getting Reloaded was a no-brainer for me (um, so it was a zombie?) SFR (and SFA) is an addictive, top down, shoot 'em up/bullet hell(~ish), with tons of objectives, cards, planes (Trains and Automobiles) to collect. It's a game that just keeps pulling you in. Your plane crashes a lot, but you'll get valuable stars each time to upgrade your vehicle. And each time you'll get a little bit better, survive a few meters longer than before. And eventually you're gonna tackle those important objectives. To a point, this is close to 10/10 for me. It's hella fun to buy upgrades or find (RNG related) ability enhancing cards. Gaining those inches, folks But then comes a point where you're maxed out, a real power house in your own mind. But you're not. You're just a pussy(cat), cannon fodder. Completing all objectives in Nightmare mode is not easy, especially come last few levels. Hair is pulled out, tears are wept. But you'll do it anyway. Then there's the final obstacle in Insanity mode in "bonus" levels B1 and B2. "Tough as nails" would be to put it mildly. Blink your eyes, you're dead. Turn one nanosecond too late, you're dead. Even think about starting those levels...yessirree, you're dead But, if a scrub like me can do it, anyone can. And it's really about the whole package, not just the painful, painful endgame. Sky Force Reloaded looks crisp, sounds manly, controls beautifully and offers a hefty challenge. Play it, and you can be my wingman any time Edited April 6, 2019 by Ala-Arska

Popular Post Caldor2K2
#115 - Ace Combat 5 I know people (myself included) like to read the information that people post about a game they have earned a platinum for, so hopefully no one will be offended by the fact I won't on this one. The reason being is not because it is a 14 year old PS2 game ported for play via emulation on the PS4, but rather if you didn't pre-order or buy Ace Combat 7 within the first month of its release there is no other way to get this version of Ace Combat 5. It just seemed a bit silly to write about a game that the majority of the people who read and/or post in this topic will not have a chance to play. From what I've heard, the problems lie in the fact that the Ace Combat series uses authentic aircraft and as such need to be licensed by the manufacturers of said aircraft. After more than a decade, I'm sure these licenses are no longer valid. Since some aircraft in the game are different than how they actually turned out, I don't know if the licenses can be renewed for the older PS2 Ace Combat games to ever be re-released, short of a remaster. Maybe somehow someway Bamco can find a solution to make this game available to everyone later down the road, at which point I'll be more than happy to write all about my experiences with it.
Popular Post TheActualMeg4cy
#51 - Conan Exiles 8th of 2019 "To crush all trophies beneath sandaled feet" "For completing all trophies" (Title and Description kinda triggers me...) I'm not going to try and pull the wool over anyone's eyes on here - this was certainly done using the Admin Panel. It is not a good game (not anywhere close to even being considered average IMO) solely because of how ugly it looks. Sure - it is a huge game with a lot of technical aspects in the background such as the travelling across the entire map without having to enter a load-screen but... the game just doesn't play well at all. I can't imagine trying to play this game for 50+ hours in attempt to get the platinum. If you've yet to download it - give it a go and just mess around with it. That said - you've got access (for now) to the shiny admin panel in which you can pretty much spawn in required items/enemies/grant modifications to assist your process very quickly without too much difficulty. I guess we can thank Sony and the developer behind this for the somewhat "EZ" free platinum?
