Popular Post DarkSoleride
Title: Cold Steel Conqueror Game: Trails of Cold Steel (Legend of Heroes) Grade: Platinum Format: PlayStation Vita Date Achieved: 15/04/2019 This game is one i have had in my backlog for a while now actually i bought the Lionheart Collectors edition for PlayStation Vita a few months ago and had been resilient to start it due to the fact there was so many missable trophies. This is of course crazy mentality to have but i had heard good things from this game and its from Falcom which i played Ys VIII and really enjoyed so figured why not? The game is an incredibly solid RPG for anybody craving a traditional turn-based RPG. You take it it turns between you and the enemy to perform your attacks, however their are perks per turn and modifiers too. So you could lose all your CP (points you need to accumulate to unleash special attacks called S-Strike? i think) or you could gain better power up abilities each element changes the way the gameplay is done. The story developed with the first game introducing all the characters is really fascinating where they have made characters have backgrounds that are not fully revealed which i loved it with example "Emma". I won't spoil anything but it leaves you wanting more. This game i could compare it to old School Final Fantasy X meets Tokyo Xanadu i would say but with a lot anime quirkiness to it from what i got. Plenty of Japanese culture references and cheesy band music too which brought its charm. Also Nightmare mode what a pain in the ass for the final boss my advice to you is do not quit. There seems to be a certain level of RNG in the sense of how many attacks you get to do and how many the boss lands on you. You can only heal twice so you need to time it properly. Its not impossible you just need to be persistent and stick with it i got it on my 15th attempt. Other players report around their 20th attempt or so with consistent runs on Nightmare so yeah just stick it out. The thing i really disliked about it is that the liner point of no return gameplay made it slightly frustrating as certain trophies require you to pay very close attention to the excellent "Overall Walkthrough" and "Trophy Guide" by the legend @hasegawa2010 which without this guide i would have been completely lost. So thank you so much to you. Overall a breath of fresh air in the RPG sector and i have now started the second instalment in preparation for the release of the third game localised in English later this year Edited April 16, 2019 by DarkSoleride

I preordered both of these, and they're still sealed =_= It stacks with PS4 ver (minus 1 EU?), but PS4 has all the DLC etc... the steel book is nice, and since 3 is PS4 I've been thinking of rebuying them. idk it's so annoying lol. I was gonna warn you about Xanadu (I also pre ordered...), but I see you already played it. You might as well try the other Ys games (Origins is import physical or LRG -- different stacks). I also heard 8 was different depending which version you played, but I have a feeling it's a Xanadu situation, and not that different. I don't have the PS4 ver yet anyway. Or played any of them. ffffffffffffffffff... sorry for rambling. Edited April 16, 2019 by mako-heart

Highly recommend booting up the first Trails and going through it at a reasonable pace use Hasegawa2010's guide too because its fantastic. I do not think they added anything different in the PS4 version besides just all the DLC and some updated graphics so guide for should work for that version too. Yeah Xanadu i have not finished on my Vita not sure i think it just got boring really i will maybe revisit it later but will see. Yeah i have the LRG physical collectors edition on PS Vita and a download of it too, but i will play these after i am done with Trails of Cold Steel II because i want to finish that before the third launches later this year! Yeah Ys VIII was fantastic absolutely loved the game i played Celceta was not really a fan lol. Yeah certain sections of the game on Vita are reworked vs the PS4 version so technically easier to plat.
Popular Post LucianaRosethorn
Platinum #8 Life is Strange: Before the Storm It's been awhile since I earned this and I'll be posting a lot today since I have two other platinums ready to pop. This game is a love hate relationship, sometimes I was so indulges with what's happening and other times they did something so stupid I wanted to strangle them. It was definitely an experience and I can relate to Chloe a lot since her dad passes way and gets a douche (in her words) of a stepdad call David, that's exactly what happened to me. The last episode was meh, it felt kinda rushed and didn't really answer anything, the ending also didn't really differ or matter when you know what's going to happen. I would definetly suggest playing this game first then Life is Strange and wait for this game to be on sale. Bring on the Storm - Complete all other trophies
Popular Post I need more BIOSHOCK
Platinum 609 Love this game! Has to be one of my all time favourite PS Plus titles to date. I never anticipated that I’d have this much fun with it. I have been playing it to death in work on the vita and even now I’ve got the plat I can deffo seem me going back to it for a little blast every now and then. You need to get used to the controls at first but it doesn’t take you long at all. Its such a simplistic fun little game and if you are yet to try it seriously do yourself a favour and get on this little diamond! I read it's better to play the other games first, so I want to get in the Sky on Steam. I'll never get to Cold Steel at this rate lol. Xanadu has a bunch of typos in later chapters, and there's a quest with a child that is somewhat notorious for it's bad translation. I did enjoy the game, but they even got characters names wrong from one scene to the next and left JP text in. It's a fucking mess. I heard PS4 ver isn't much better, but I got a dented LE for less or equal to normal game version cost so meh. In all honesty, Xanadu seems to be kind of rare too. Not sure if it's just a Canadian thing or not though...
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#225: Okunezato Master! *shrugs* It's a visual novel game. Even without a guide, probably the easiest I've played yet. Nothing else that I can think to say about it, other than of course it had to get weird near the end with it's incest-but-not-really final route. #226: Platinum Weekend A very unconventional (at least to me) shooter where you move left and right with the shoulder buttons and nothing else. I'm sure there is more going on here that I wouldn't know, not being a top-down shooter fan; what really stood out for me are the graphics and art direction, which for some odd reason kept reminding me of Fortran of Dian Shi Ma Li fame. #227: All Finished! Yeesh, I'm drawing blank thoughts on these games. It's Lego, it's Harry Potter, only the former I'm familiar with, but it was still fun nonetheless. It's one of the earlier Lego games, which means to voice acting outside a few generics grunts and sounds, so I was bit surprised at first. *NOTE* to anybody still unsure, NO, there are NO existing codes like there is for the console versions. You have to do everything unassisted until you unlock Red Bricks. But still, it's Lego. You won't have a hard time. VITA #228: Platinum Pig You know those super early stick figure fight vids with slick animation? Take that, make the main character a pig and the enemies wolves, then put it into player hands. The controls are simple enough, with every attack being mapped to different directions on the left and right stick (buttons are an option too), resulting in normal, midair, and crouching attacks of all kinds. The beauty is getting into a flow of attacking left, then right, then jump then duck, then midair an enemy and catch his weapon before you both hit the ground, then fling in the opposite direction at another coming enemy. It's really a blast once you get into. Edited April 17, 2019 by RedRodriguez87
Popular Post Copanele
No. 50 : Asura's Wrath Platinum name : Enlightenment Completion time : 2 years 11 months (I am lazy ok? ) Rarity : 8.54% (very rare) Difficulty rate : 3/10 main game , 1/10 interlude episodes DLC , 5/10 True Ending DLC , 5/10 Lost Episodes DLC Fun rate : 7/10 Epicness rate : 9001/10 My 50th platinum is more of an interactive anime than a game. Asura's wrath is another mad game created by Capcom where you control one of the angriest deities in existence. The gameplay consists into a mix of 3rd person fighter, rail shooter and lots, LOTS of QTEs. Honestly this is one of the few games that I don't know how to properly rate. If I were to go for the mechanics and story only the game would be submediocre (around a 5/10 score). HOWEVER that's not how Asura's Wrath works! It's a game focused on flashiness , epic world scale fights and all the good stuff that we loved in anime (if you loved anime that is). I mean...fighting your master on the surface of the moon while he throws lasers with his huge ass katana with the Symphony No.9 on E Minor on the background is... pure badassery. Also, while it was a shitty practice by Capcom (hiding the true ending behind a DLC), it is really important to play the DLC. While initially I didn't want to buy it, after finally purchasing and playing it I must say I wasn't dissapointed. The DLC might be even better than the base game in certain parts . There's another really fun DLC where you fight against Ryu and Akuma for...some reason (Hey it's Capcom , they tend to do that) . One of the more unique DLC out there, you start your first fight in Street Fighter style in a 2D environment then move to 3D. DLC has no impact over the story but who cares when you can split moons vs Oni. What I didn't like...Capcom's obsession with S ranks get boring(still gotta get one DLC trophy because of stupid battle points for full 100% completion), multiple playthroughs really weren't required in this game and...the game gets boring from the third playthrough onwards. Ah also paying for all those DLC . All in all , a really fun game , recommending it only if you are into anime and nonsensical huge scale fights.

Popular Post madbuk
#310 - Batman: Arkham Asylum This is my third (and likely final) time playing through Arkham Asylum and it's still a lot of fun. The story has a fairly bad ending, imo, but other than that it's engaging and the combat is a joy. Sure you can just spam square and counter and win, especially on lower difficulties, but there's also lots of variety there if you want to experiment with your combos, and the combat challenges basically require you to. I loved the combat challenges. And honestly, I enjoyed the Riddler stuff too which is what most people seem to dislike. Obviously, since I've played this twice before, I knew where a lot of it was, but the concept is still great and it isn't overdone here like it is in City where there are over 400(?) of the bloody things. The stealth is fun too although it's definitely my weakest area still lol, the randomness present in the predator challenges still managed to throw me several times whereas combat challenges were for the most part a breeze due to the waves being set and not random. That's not to say predator challenges are bad, the randomness certainly keeps things tense and interesting, but it's definitely where I struggled the most and I'm dreading doing all of the ones in City again. I probably won't play City for a while, but I am excited to replay it because despite the DLCs being extremely frustrating, the base game I remember being a lot of fun. Not as fun as Asylum, but still I imagine replaying it will be worth my time and offer a lot of enjoyment. Perhaps I should go back and do Origins first... Probably won't though lol.
Popular Post Maxximum
#25 Goat Simulator (PS3) All The Goat! Unlock all the Goat Trophies! BAAAAA it is, my 25th platinum and also...my 1,337th trophy - elite milestone achieved. Good game, had another great moment with this game. A little glitchy here and there (in terms of the controls, not trophies) and its apex is incredibly hilarious. Different mutators with their own special abilities, making the gameplay unique. The game featured two cities/levels: Goat Ville and Goat City. Both cities were amazing to explore around, but Goat City was larger. Some challenges were quite tough, such as the wall run ones, but I managed to complete them. Moving on two feet (the manual challenge) was a pain as well. Courtesy of the slow-mo feature by pressing the button, it was a smooth ride. The goat's body is pretty much slender, which makes the landing unsuccessful majority of the time. Each had 30 collectibles (goat trophies). A few were well-hidden, but no so hard to obtain. Flappy Goat. What a mini game that was. It was indeed my runner-up trophy. Some guides recommend you tackle hard trophies fast, but I'd leave the challenge for last. This game is widely known for its similarity with Flappy Bird (a game I've never heard of ever) and an Android game for Lollipop or Marshmellow versions (going through the settings and then tapping "Android version"). It took me several tries and I finally got through it. The rage video on YouTube gave me a good laugh. Games that always have that one challenge. Great game overall. Popular Post Viper
#157 LEGO Jurassic WorldLife Finds a Way This is my, 11th LEGO game I believe...and I think I'm just over them at this point. They're fun games for the most part, but for a while now whenever I'm nearing the end of it, close to the Platinum...I just get anxious, I'm so ready for it to be done. At the core of it all these games are all the same thing with a different license over top of it. This game had WAYYYY too many of those on rails moments...which are fine in story mode, but can be a damn headache for collecting mini kits...most have one or two, this had about seven. I've seen a lot of people say this was their favorite of the entire franchise, and I really don't know why...it felt like every other LEGO game, but with too main on rails chase scenes and a roster full of characters that you care absolutely nothing about. I might have to rethink buying LEGO DC Super-Villains and LEGO Incredibles in the future. I don't know if I need any more on top of still having LEGO Hobbit and Harry Potter remastered to play. LEGO games need a drastic overhaul on their gameplay...TT Games have become very complacent in their design.
