Popular Post StraightVege
Drowning Platinum #188 - Drowning A better title for this game might have been "Baby's First Walking Sim." This is as simplistic as they get—just hold forward and the 'X' button, while reading text pop-ups, until you finish the game. Occasionally, you can deviate slightly from the linear path to pick up collectibles, or reach different endings, but that's all. As someone who has struggled with lifelong mental illness, I really did appreciate the message being conveyed here, though, and the minimalistic piano pieces they wrote for it were also very fitting. I'd actually love to see the theme of coping with depression expanded upon in a more engaging, fleshed out game than this. And, hey, new fastest platinum (27 minutes).

Popular Post DamagingRob
#393- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Just another day at the office Earn all available trophies for Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® Remastered. Don't really think I can state it better than I did in my recent status update, so just gonna copy/paste that and add the screenshot. Which I'm glad isn't a loading screen, as something exploded and killed me while I was waiting for it to pop. Game has some long trophy delays.. Well, I did what my younger self could not. Platinum #393- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. Though if I'm to listen to Seraphim17, Veteran Mode in this is easier than the 360/PS3 versions.. Don't try to rain on my parade, damn it! So many aggravating sections on Veteran. Surprisingly, One Shot, One Kill was not the worst of them, which is where my playthrough was halted on the 360. The worst, in my opinion, was No Fighting in the War Room. Enemies were always right there to kill me anywhere I tried to go, and on top of it was a time limit. Fuck that level. Hard. Of course, Mile High Club might have been worse, had I not decided to cheese it. But after trying some and having seen Avatar_Of_Battle's status about it, I said screw that noise. And after that, I went for Best of the Best... Titanfall 2 all over again, but a lot less fair. My guy wouldn't sprint or randomly stop (wondering if I'm having a controller issue), get caught on a wall, and not hit a shot when directly aiming right at a target. 2 hours of suckage. Other than all that bullshit, it was a nice walk down memory lane. Remaster looks fantastic, and the campaign is as good as I remembered. This was my first CoD, and it and its sequel may forever be the only ones I ever care fondly for. Would be nice if they remastered the second one, so I could replay it as well before finally giving the third one a try. Popular Post DEsIx_KaerO
#190 - Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition I can definitely see, why this game is considered to be one of the best Tales of franchise has to offer, it definitely delivered it with a beautiful story and unique characters, and one of the most badass MC's i've witnessed from Tales of games, truly . And this is one of the longest Tales game i have played in one play-through , but in overall time fell short from Symphonia by 17 hours. That is, If i remember correctly I don really know what to write any more , but i can say that i had fun playing it, and cannot wait until later on i will tackle it again on PS3. ____ #191 - Zeroptian Invasion Umm and yet again my bro launched the game on the other ps4, and left it unfinished ;d ( could not defeat the Spidy boss ) so i had to finish it.
Popular Post Dokusha
#95: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy I'm ever so glad Capcom decided to port these silly games to PlayStation. Whilst replaying them did reveal some flaws that my younger self hadn't noticed, I still think these are marvellous visual novels with Pythonesque silliness, lots and lots of punny names, cross-examination segments that make you feel like a genius when you point out a tricky contradiction in a witness' testimony, and artwork that still holds up wonderfully well up to this day. All three games are remarkably consistent in quality, but I do understand why the third one - Trials & Tribulations - tends to be held in the highest regard, since it tells a lengthy, interconnected story throughout several cases that ends on a very touching note. Wonderful stuff. It's pretty safe to say that Capcom really has escaped its dark age at this point, between these lovely ports, remakes like RE2, and their original fare. The trophy list is nice. It's not especially difficult - which visual novel really does challenge the trophy hunter, anyway? - but there are some nice touches here, like having to catch all instances of the "That's not a ladder, that's a stepladder!" running gag, or having to inspect absolutely anything that might have "even a whiff of Oldbag" on it - and trust me, that does make sense in context!
Kishnabe
Platinum #287: Town Of Light (PS4) Walking Simulator, similar to Edith Finch we are getting this month on PS+. Really felt bad for MC, mental health problems in a era where treatment was not ideal. 2-4 hours, 1.5 play though. Chapter Select available. Finished this so I can have space to download Conan Exiles. Platinum #288: Conan Exiles (PS4) My 500GB forced me to finish a few games before downloading this 75 GB mammoth. Happy there was debug mode for this, would not put in the effort to do normally.

Popular Post GraniteSnake
#136: Drowning Picked this game up for free after entering a competition hosted by 'Sometimes You'. It's a very short walking simulator with minimal content. You're tasked with following a linear path while reading through the boy's thoughts that are typed out on screen as you progress. It focuses on his battle with depression through years 8-12 and the choices he makes regarding it. There are 4 'endings' which require little to no effort to get to as you can skip through scenes. There is also a handful of collectables which are easy to find with a guide. I ran through the game blind for my first play through, but utilised guides for the endings/collectables on my subsequent runs. I'm glad that I didn't spend money on this game as it was honestly quite boring, and it lacked content. Can't really complain much though as it was free I guess. #137: Destroy All Humans! I had no feelings of nostalgia as I never played any of these titles before, but I still found it to be a somewhat entertaining experience. It felt a lot like Grand Theft Auto, expect on a much smaller scale. The game ran smoothly, even with all of the destruction and chaos. The story was pretty basic and enjoyed poking fun at America as much as possible. There wasn't too much variety to the missions, but this was mainly due to me making use of the ability to use cheats at will. The side missions were all easy, and the collectables weren't too overwhelming with the use of some guides. I also knocked out the missable identities trophy during my original play through of the game. I can imagine this game being a decent challenge without the use of cheats. I've already picked up the sequel on sale a few months back, so I'll be sure to check that out at some stage. Not a bad game, but there are much better games out there. The trophies were all pretty straightforward, with only three requiring a small bit of a grind at the end of the game. Regardless, I enjoyed my time with Crypto and his shenanigans. #138: Twin Robots (VITA) My 6000th trophy as well as my first platinum for the PlayStation Vita. Not much to say about this game that I haven't already, as I picked up the platinum for the PS4 version a couple of months back. I must say I'm happy with my purchase of the Vita, even though the wrong model arrived (Received a Slim model instead of the original model, but the trek of returning it and ordering another Vita didn't seem worth it.) ? I have plenty of games to play on it, including a number of cross-buy titles similar to Twin Robots. I'll keep an eye out for Vita sales on PSPrices, as they seem to omit sales on the actual store. My only regret is not picking up the console sooner!

Popular Post pinkrobot_pb
Killzone HD (PS3) This game had some enjoyable moments. Playing on easy as Rico with his chain gun was pretty fun. But 4 playthroughs in total to get the platinum exposed its many flaws a bit too much. The framerate drops for example in some parts of the maps, counted in seconds per frame, instead of frames per second Edited May 6, 2019 by pinkrobot_pb
Popular Post RuNNinG-sCaRe_D
Some easy platinums. Popular Post ShonenCat
Platinum #35 - Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise Difficulty Rating 7/10 Enjoyment Rating 5/10 Ultra Rare - 4.45% Growing up in the 90s, I didn't flock to the usual kiddie stuff like Power Rangers or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Instead, my childhood heroes were James Bond, Scorpion, Earthworm Jim, Sol Badguy and Kenshiro. I was that only kid in my class that was aloud to play Mortal Kombat and watch Fist of the North Star for my dad recorded several things from the channel known as "Showtime." I even had the NES game and screamed hours on end at the TV for it's brutal difficulty Nowadays I can run through the game in about 15 minutes, but this new game I've been longing to play for a while now took me about 150+ hours to platinum. So, was it the FotNS game I've always dreamed of playing? Well... it's complicated. When I invested in Lost Paradise, the last thing I expected to get was a Yakuza game. Yes, Lost Paradise is Yakuza in spirit with a FotNS setting, characters and a few out of place oddities. That's not a bad thing really, but kind of unexpected for the FotNS fanboy like myself who just wanted to go around punching and kicking bandits. Now this game has plenty of that, but it also has rhythm and casino games you must be absolutely perfect on. To be honest, it kind of breaks the immersion from the anime's original vision and these mini games are simply recycled right out of Yakuza, or at least feel like they are. I cannot picture Kenshiro playing Poker, managing a nightclub or shaking martinis. Nor could I ever picture a working functioning casino or nightclub in FotNS's post-apocalyptic world. Most of the game's activities take place in the city hub area and all of the iconic fighters and bosses mostly come to you. You do go out into the wasteland in a buggy, but it's pretty barren. Yes, that's to be expected in the post-apocalypse ? but this is a game that should have plenty to do in it's overworld apart from the sleep inducing material farming. There were plenty of points of interest in the anime. I wanted to travel to Southern Cross, Mamiya's Village, Souther's Mausoleum, The Place of Beginning, Lin's Village and Hokuto Training Grounds... but alas, I did not have that luxury. I did get to travel to Cassandra Prison, but not in a proper manner one might expect. My point is, the overworld is huge, empty and boring with mostly material farming to be had. There should of been dungeons and castles to take on, but maybe that goes against the Yakuza formula? Sorry, I thought I was playing a FotNS game -.- And it was one of the biggest grinds I've ever experienced. Mini games are brutally difficult to meet trophy requirements for and it truly felt like one of those games that would never end. I can put up with doing all the side-stories to get the full experience, but when I have to upgrade every talisman and do the same coliseum fights 300+ times, you can see how going for the platinum would start to get tiresome. Do I recommend this game? Honestly, I don't. I've played better and I don't think it would even please the most diehard FotNS fans. Maybe Yakuza fanatics will get a kick out of it though. I've got to give Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio credit for making solid products that don't freeze, crash or change their narrative for the sake of westerners. Both Yakuza & Judgement are games I'm highly interested in playing someday, but Lost Paradise has put me in a state of gaming fatigue that it'll be a long time before I ever get around to playing them. Must you still must play this game anyway? I don't have much advice to offer other than extreme patience and reflexes. I recommend a guide on this site by @Undead Wolf. He deserves every ounce of praise coming to him. His guide should help you as much as it has helped me ^^ I feel Lost Paradise isn't that perfect FotNS game I've been dreaming for but it's probably the best I'm ever going to receive in this lifetime. For those who still plan on tackling it regardless of the tedious grinds and difficult tasks ahead, I wish you the best of luck and pray that you're not already dead ??
Popular Post PhantomFear94
Platinum #21: Until Dawn (PS4) Really enjoyed Until Dawn. Played it with my now fiancee on launch, but a few people recommended it to me in a recent forum and it was an utter delight revisiting it for the platinum. Enjoyable (and easy) plat, good story, genuinely impactful decisions, I can't wait for the various entries into the Dark Pictures Anthology.
Popular Post Angel
Platinum #140 NieR:Automata Words truly can not describe how this amazing journey of a game has made me feel. I fell in love and emotionally engaged so much with NieR Automata's world, characters, story, gameplay and of course the breathtaking soundtrack. My emotions were all over as at times I would giggle at Nines chatty banter with 2B's stoic response, shocked as the story unfolds by each playthrough, my heart getting warmed up looking at robots like Pascal showing that not all robots are death machines, they have emotions and would love to live in a peaceful world. Though at most times... well, it would honestly make me feel a sense of darkness, despair, and sadness that really hit me hard. This is a personal experience during the true ending route so please only read if you have already played the game. Spoiler During this route towards the credits part where the song Weight of the World is playing and you are trying your very best to give 2B, Nines, and A2 a well deserved good ending. Messages of "don't give up" and "do your best" while other players saved data are helping you through this and chanting the song giving you hope that you are not alone on this... I just couldn't hold back any tears and cried so much. I know it sounds selfish of me but it felt so heartwarming knowing I wasn't alone and had support for a change even if it came from "it's just a game". Thank you for listening to this, it was just something I wanted to share with you all. I'm so glad and thankful for all those fellow members here that highly recommended it to me, I probably would I have missed out on the opportunity 2B engaged in this amazing story, it was also a fun platinum to obtain! Thank you for your time and wishing you the best on your next platinum.
Popular Post merciful84
Master of Time Mastered the timeline and obtained every trophy available. While this did end up being better than FFXIII in many ways, it has its own set of issues. A lot of the content in this game is very time intensive (including the platinum) without much of a rewarding pay off - gameplay and story wise. It all ended with much more to be desired...but at the end of the day, it was still a decent Final Fantasy game. Popular Post DarkSoleride
No 113 Name: The Ashen Chevalier Game: Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II Grade: Platinum Platform: PlayStation Vita Time Taken: 97 Hours Well that is it the second game in the "Trails of Cold Steel" arch is now done and i am eagerly waiting on the third. The game itself is fantastic after i finished the first one around 3 weeks ago from writing this post i immediately dived into the second game. The game expands further on Class VII and their trials and tribulations on a higher level than the challenges from the first game. The world is absolutely massive and its quite nice that Falcom packed it all into a portable size because i really needed the portability to finish this game and @hasegawa2010's fantastic overall walkthrough for this game which i could not have achieved the platinum trophy without. If you really want to play a great RPG with indepth story plenty of lore and great character development and a fantastic battle system this is it. 9/10 for sure His walkthrough in this link which i used to get the plat https://psnprofiles.com/guide/4970-the-legend-of-heroes-trails-of-cold-steel-ii-overall-walkthrough#1-notes
Popular Post Copanele
No. 52 : Sekiro : Shadows Die Twice Platinum name : Sekiro Completion time : 1 month, 3 days, 17 hours Rarity : 24.08% (uncommon) Difficulty rate : 4/10 Fun rate : 6/10 So, my latest platinum is Sekiro Shadows Die Twice . Since this is the latest masterpiece released by Miyazaki and since I am a sucker for the Soulsborne franchise, I had to have this game. Sekiro taking place into feudal japan has beautiful graphics, accurate gameplay that works ( honestly stealth system is one of the best there yet) a solid story and great music. Thus being said....I didn't enjoy the game. It's one of those strange cases " I acknowledge that the game is good yet I don't like it" . First of all for all the crazy publicity it was shown due to difficulty , I found the game to be really easy. No bragging, just hold the circle button and smack the bosses, it works 90% of the time. Second...the setting is really bland. Really there was more diversity in Soulsborne. The land of Ashina in comparison....eh the same castle, generic poison pool, you know...the usual Miyazaki stuff. Third... the fact that I don't even have much to say about this game is proof that it bored me. Like...ok skills are cool but I don't use them? Prosthetics....Occasionally firecrackers? MAYBE? I never felt the urge to really use them. In terms of trophies there's nothing special, the exp farm was abit of a pain but nothing a good few hours of podcasting couldn't solve. Bosses weren't that diverse either. Some of them were really good I admit but more than half of them were just damage sponges that required multiple pokes. Props to the only bloodborne'ish boss though Demon of Hatred, what a beautiful beast it is. So ... yeah. Kinda letdown by this game. I will maybe return to it when the DLC will show up ( bet you it will have something to do with the misterious lady Tomoe) but besides that...nah I think I will trade in my copy of the game afterwards. Onto more glorious games!
