Popular Post ahmedelebiary
#121 Escape Dead Island Fun 8/10 (4 after new game+) Diff 5/10 Time +15 hours A spin-off that takes place between the events of the original game and Riptide, this game uses a unique comics graphics that was the most interesting aspect in the game. story was kinda meh but I liked how the developers were inspired by the film Triangle and its loop idea with the ending of the game.. you will know if you watched the film. Platwise, the game requires you to play two playthroughs with the second being a NG+ carrying your collectibles and kill progress over but not weapons. And there are no player upgrades unlike the other games. Second playthrough proved to be harder though as you die quicker especially in the last two chapters where you get outnumbered by Butchers..Bouncers and Infected. Unresponsive and dodgy controls made it even worse but nothing too bad overall.
Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #279: Difficulty: 4.9/10 Playtime: 7-8 hours Enjoyment: 8/10 This... was awesome. I would have never guessed a Metroidvania action RPG could make for such a choice game experience. As a guy who hates touch controls, this game wouldn't be what it is without them. The unique combat system always requires constant vigilance, and keeps ramping up the challenge level to make sure you, like a sword, retain your edge at all times. One or two battles even caused the game to crash due to the Vita having to process too much information at once! Some fights were incredibly frustrating and there were definitely some choice words uttered, but every loss taught me something new... and ultimately, I overcame it. If they did a little more with the Samurai Jack-esque story, and if the game didn't have a terrible 2000s-era flash game soundtrack, it could well have been a minor classic. As it stands, it's still one of the best games on the Vita, as well as one of the best titles I've ever gotten through PlayStation Plus. ...Did I mention it's kind of awesome already? Give it a go, kids. Edited July 9, 2019 by AK-1138 There was a random number 8 in there. If it were the number 9 instead, at least it would have been a nice Grim Fandango and/or Beatles referenxe
Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #177 Meow Motors I am a cat! Obtain all trophies. What a relief to have gotten that drift trophy, it was the hardest trophy in the game. Even getting a 10x combo built up (by drifting) wasn't as bad. Tried yesterday, failed miserably. Tried earlier today, raged so hard I quit and played Farm Together. Decided to try a bit before bed and got it third try. Thank goodness. Otherwise, super easy plat. And more importantly, a fun racer. I like how the game deals with boosting, you can either spend your meter to boost or to drop oil behind you. It's a neat mechanic, and unlike most kart racers there aren't "?" boxes that randomly give you an item. Each item is slowly unlocked as you progress (not something I like mind) and then they're all shown on the tracks, so you can always get what you want. I think that's awesome and takes a bit of the RNG out of it which makes it more fun. The rubber banding was pretty noticeable, but not in a frustrating way. I think it's a good balance. Then again, I get frustrated really quick with kart racers so I'm probably a bad person to ask about it. The graphics are nice, the comic story panels were enough to frame the various missions. Racing (duh), Strike (blow up enemies), and drifting. My main issue with the drifting was that it just wasn't very consistent. I felt like I was doing the same thing every time, but sometimes it would just stop me dead and break my combo. By that I mean it straightens out the kart and stops the drift. You have to basically fishtail back and forth the entire time to keep things going and it's hard to do without hitting a wall or something. Luckily you don't have to hold circle while you drift. I much prefer how drifting works in Mario Kart 64. Aside from that drifting trophy, it was a nice excursion. Much better than Coffin Dodgers... oh, and before I forget it. I really liked that each character you unlocked had different bonus abilities (no penalty for starting up on red, no penalty for driving on the side of the road, boosts last longer, etc).
Popular Post FrenchDevil54
Among The Stars A truly great space exploration/shooter game with roguelike elements and a surprisingly good story. The procedurally generated levels, the various weapons and ships gives it a high replay value, and the graphics are amazing. Popular Post Kishnabe
Platinum #310: Super Daryl Deluxe (PS4) Took around 39 hours (Regret being stingy with Textbooks). Spent hours dying and leveling up at the history section. Which had a long section of battles. Only when I bought new skills, that I wrecked past it. You can't immediately focus on a main quest. I had to explore to open up a new quest line that would help the main. I did not like having to travel back and forth in a huge map. Later it becomes so much easier to travel around with the Locked Blue Doors (It like a Subway) +ve: Monster Designs, Visuals. Interesting Characters. Soundtrack (Science Room best). Mixed: Comedy can be hit or miss. I always smiling or amused when I was playing. Never had laugh out loud moment Only issue I had, is when the R1 and L1 buttons get locked in the menu. (I can change equipment, but could not switch over to a map) After quickly going to save point, had to fully close app. For the issue to disappear. Initial selection of skill makes the game tedious Once you mess around with newer skills, stops being tedious. The game combat is similar The World Ends With You. You can swap out skills, every skill has a cool down (which can occur after a set amount of uses). Each skill can be leveled up to a certain point. Use your textbooks to get new skills than sticking to weaker skills. There more than enough in the game. After you get to Max Level and Unlock all Skills. Then convert Textbooks to Skill XP. Getting all skills to max, will be your last trophy. There are three missables in the game (2 Mid Game). Make alt saves when you can. Super Daryl Deluxe is a Metroidvania RPG. Should take 15-25 hours to Platinum. Enjoyment 8/10

Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
Platinum trophy No. 124! Ys Origin (Asian version) (PS Vita) Top of the Tower Finally the 4th platinum, and the stackable list is now complete (until the PS5 version ): I really love this game. Amazing story and one of the best Ys soundtracks. My favourites are Genesis beyond the beginning (the Ys version of "Attack on Titan" opening!), Water prison, Silent sands, Scars of the divine wings, Dreaming, My Lord, our brave and Beyond the beginning. And when I thought he Falcom Studio Team couldn't create something better than this soundtrack I discovered the Super Arrange Album, which is a masterpiece! I also managed to improve my Nightmare boss rush with Hugo! From 1 hour (average time in the previous games) I cut the time to 45 minutes! ? And following my "personal" tradition I usually take the platinum screenshot in the Rado Annex with my Lv. 60 Yunica (because I really likethe sky with the two Moons??): I leave you with a couple of funny moments. Grab some pop corns and I hope I make you smile : #1 I still don't understand what the flying knight is doing. I've a couple of ideas: he's learning the "wingardium leviosa" spell or he's acting the "you shall not pass!" moment... Pick up what you like! #2 Are you serious?! You have no idea how many times it happened with Hugo! This boss with 0,1 micro HP. It reminded me my battle against Gaius in the Shadow of the Colossus PS3 remaster during my Hard Time Attack... #3 The hardest boss that you don't have to face in the Nightmare boss rush with Hugo (luckily!): the demons in the silent sand floor, which kill you with 3-4 hits and you do 1 damage per hit. Anf you have to kill three of these guys in order to charge the evil ring and open the door in the Rado Annex. But with a Lv. 29 Hugo, a lot of charged trapped mines (and a good stamina) you can wipe the floor with these enemies! #4 Did you know that Toal has a brother AND a twin? Now you can see him! #5 I discovered this one by accident: if you stay on the bottom stairs the Shion's bullets can't hit you! No more running around and dodging thousands of bullets! But strangely it doesn't work on the up stairs... #6 This is very annoying (especially in the Arena grinding session): when you activate the Toal's extra skill (demon beam?) sometimes it doesn't work! I mean he acts like he's doing the extra skill but you see no demon beam and no damages on enemies! And all of them knock you down to death once the animation is over... Popular Post sephiroth4424
#158 Adventures of Mana The Hero of Mana Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 2/10 I picked up this game because it was mentioned a lot in threads about vita recommendations without checking any gameplay in youtube. Two minutes after starting i realized this was one of the first games i've played 25 years ago on gameboy!! And one i never finished because that time i couldn't read english and i was stuck in the desert trying to find the cave with Medusa. So this was a nice surprise and a nice experience since i completed something i couldn't when i started playing games. I would have given it a 10/10 but the unnecessary grinding in the end left a tiny bitter taste. Beating the game and getting every collectible took me ten hours. Massacring elephants took me another six.
Popular Post Copanele
No 57 : Assassin's Creed Syndicate +100% Jack the Ripper DLC Platinum name : Master Assassin Completion time : 2 months, 2 weeks, 3 days Rarity : 19.51% (rare) Difficulty rate : 2/10 Fun rate : 8.1/10 Yet another entry from the Assassin's Creed series, this time Syndicate, which follows the adventures of twins Jacob and Evie Frye through the magical Victorian London . And boy oh boy what a ride it was. Syndicate took all the failure that was Unity and improved tenfold. Sadly it was released at a time where even the most devoted fans were tired of the series so it didn't get the best of the rating, especially given that the game doesn't contribute to the main plot at all. HOWEVER that doesn't mean the game is bad!! First of all ,the twins are a joy to play with. Jacob is an airheaded idiot who would rather screw around making his merry gang and slaying templars than even sit and think for a little, while his sister Evie tries her best to hunt the pieces of Eden and patch whatever the top hat moron manages to ruin (there is a nice bit about English economy in the game, made me laugh a good while). The gameplay is SMOOTH. No more dumb Arno-esque running and tripping over the roofs and refusing to climb a dumb table. Now the twins are responsive, i had no issues with the parkour and the targeting system works better. Combat as well , no more " whoops you missed a parry now you are dead", it's still challenging but way better made. Kinda reminds me of Arkham Asylum. Storywise... eh, maybe AC Liberation is worse. The main story is the worst part of this game. Yadda yadda evil english overlord with evil moustache , control the world, blah blah I just skipped it. Interacting with Sergeant Abberline or with Charles Dickens/Darwin was WAY MORE ENJOYABLE. Even the poor maharaja Duleep Singh was a great addition to the game. A different story is Jack the Ripper DLC. Without entering into too much detail, the DLC is a solid part that should not be missed no matter what. The fear system is something I never though i'd love in a videogame. DEFINETLY should be played and way , WAY better than dead kings dlc in Unity. Heck, I believe up until now it's the best DLC so far (didn't consider Origins and Oddysey though). Platinum difficulty? Easiest AC to plat by far. No more 100% synchronization (AC3 flashbacks) or collectibles (AC Unity hell). Just main mission synchronization, the optional objectives are really easy. Maybe the most annoying trophy would be destroying 5000 objects with the carriage, but i accidentally unlocked that one while conquering boroughs (carriage controls are meh at best, no way you can control those things properly). All in all , I really enjoyed this game. Kinda sad that I had to finish it, but oh well time to move on. Next one is Egypt Boogaloo! ((damn only Origins and Oddysey left? What a time to be alive) P.S. While most of the soundtrack doesn't end up in the game itself, major extra props to Austin Wintory for composing those beautiful tracks. Too bad you can listen to them in bars mostly (apart from the main theme and combat themes of course). I added my favorite track at the end , for whoever is interested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8p1hor857E

Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #178 Seasons After Fall Master of seasons Unlock all trophies for "Seasons after Fall". Lovely icon. Loved the game. Been wanting to try it for ages, but it never went on a good enough sale (that I noticed) but i saw it on PS Now so I finally got to play it. The only real issues I had with it are the way you turn around is delayed due to the animation, which makes quick platforming left to right more annoying than it needs to be. But, beyond that the only issue I had was this Cicada puzzle. It would've been fine if not for the fact you had to do 4 of them, and they involved tedious moving platforms. You have to play to understand. And they don't even tell you how to do 3 of them, you have to find the hint somewhere. I only found one of the three, just gave up and looked up the other two. What a pain. But it was fun, the flowers (collectable of the game) weren't that bad to find on your own. I only needed a guide for about 2 or 3 of them. As long as you explore you'll find most on your own. The puzzles besides the aforementioned one, were a lot of fun to do and figure out. Nothing felt too hard that it got annoying, they click pretty quickly. Beautiful visuals, and the music was awesome. Really enjoyed the voice acting and story as well. I expected to like the game, but didn't expect I'd love it as much as I did. It was a fun time.
Popular Post eigen-space
Platinum #72 - Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas (PS4) Platinum, 36.03% Rarity Difficulty - 2.5/10 , Time Spent - ~15 Hours , Enjoyment 6.5/10 Oceanhorn is a Zelda-like game that has you playing as a nameless hero that's attempting to find and defeat the monster Oceanhorn, a fearsome machine that has been terrorizing the world for hundreds of years. I quite enjoyed Oceanhorn. It was exactly what I expected it to be, with a little extra awesomeness coming from the fact that the music for this game was created by Nobuo Uematsu and Kenji Ito (and the devs definitely knew that this would be the best part of the game, as these two were the first people mentioned in the opening credits). This game had an AMAZING soundtrack, and I also enjoyed the voice acting (though the cadence of the voices was off at times due to the way they cued the voices). Nothing in this game was broken or glitchy (at least for me... apparently some people have had glitches with one of the collectibles), nothing was terribly grind-y, and it lasted just long enough to remain "fresh". The game's story is fleshed out well enough for a 10-20 hour game as well; everything is explained quite nicely through story cutscenes, and even more lore is explained if you read all the notes/signs/gravestones/etc and talk to various NPCs. You sail around the ocean discovering islands (islands are discovered by talking to NPCs, reading about them, etc.... not just random wandering) and subsequently exploring those islands. Island exploration involves somewhat simple problem-solving with pushing around crates, placing bombs in appropriate places, activating levers with spells/arrows, etc. Though getting through each of the puzzles shouldn't prove very difficult (you probably won't need a guide to get through each island), you may need to consult a guide to get a couple of the collectibles as some of the spots where you need to place bombs are near impossible to detect. I would recommend trying to find them on your own first as it's not very time consuming if you need to backtrack (for the small amount of collectibles that I consulted a video guide for, it only took me maybe 2-3 minutes per collectible). Also while exploring the islands, you will be fighting enemies with very original Zelda-like actions... mostly just slashing away with a sword (my husband walked in on me playing it and literally thought I was playing Zelda with upgraded graphics. You can also pick up objects and throw them at enemies, use a small variety of spells, throw bombs, and shoot arrows. None of the basic enemies pose much of a challenge, but some of the bosses may-- that is, until you figure out the method to kill them... then they're rather easy (but still might take a few times to approach and master the fight). The only annoying part was the fishing mini-game. There are 7 different fish which you need to catch for one of the trophies... and only two of them are annoying. You won't be annoyed by RNG not giving you particular fish so long as you're looking for them on the correct islands (and the guide here on PSNP tells you where to look for them)-- I personally found each fish in no more than 3 fishing attempts per fish I was trying to catch. However, the last two fish have special qualities that make them a huge PITA. I must have attempted catching each of the final two at least 20 times a piece before finally complaining to the PSNP Gods via status update before finally having success in catching them (I also caught some Spousal Judgment in the form of "Why don't you take a break? You've been playing this game for over six hour straight."). It's not terrible in terms of how grind-y some other titles are, but it seems a bit disproportionate to spend at least an hour trying to fish two collectibles when the rest of the game only took about 10-15 hours. Overall, great game! I don't think I'll be playing the Vita version for another trophy list stack, but I do think I'll be downloading the game's soundtrack.

Popular Post Masamune
A Person Obsessed Earn all trophies aside from the Platinum Trophy. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Playtime: 75:54:07 (3 weeks, 20 hours, 32 minutes) Screenshot: Spoiler I thought this game was a little underrated, or maybe it's just not popular enough? I barely even heard of this game before I got it (just an impulse buy on my part), but I though it was pretty good. Combat is fun, I liked to 2D dungeon style, the story wasn't that interesting, but it wasn't bad either... I was really surprised with the English dubbing in this though, as far as I could tell, every single bit of dialog (even in post-game) was voiced, that's pretty rare. Usually companies really cheap out on English dubs & only do a portion of the game, but it was nice actually hearing the characters talk throughout the entire game. Difficulty wise, that hardest part was probably finishing the last few Speed Run battles (you have plenty of time to do so, you just need to have high enough ATK/DEF to clear it in the first place). The final grinding for all (well most) of the skills went way faster than expected, I was expecting to be working on it for at least 1 more day, but it turns out it only took a couple hours. Apparently some people have had trouble with the game crashing a lot too, but I only experienced that twice, so maybe I got lucky? ?

Popular Post snakebit10
#280 Spyro 2 Ripto's Rage! Another solid Spyro game. I think I favor the first game tot his one but it is still a very fun game to play. It is more of the same with the addition of orbs to collect which required some sort of challenge to complete to get them. The flying levels also seemed much easier this time around. None of them took as long as some of the ones from the first game. I am so glad I am getting to play these now. Never did back when they first released. I will get to the 3rd game soon, ust not know. I never play a series back to back. I do this so I don't get burned out on one series. Up next I am thinking of going back and finishing Lego The Lord of the Rings on PS3. I am getting close to 79% completion and this could put me over.
