Popular Post DEI2EK
The Last of Us So i had never played this game until recently, my friend played the game on my account years ago. And then server shutdowns got announced and i figured now is as good of time as any. The multiplayer trophies were just boring and long, completely unnecessary. Multi was okay, not really my thing though. As for the main game, it was enjoyable, i don't know if i would praise it as much as people have though, by the end the game had gotten too predictable. Grounded mode was a much more fun experience, it took me a lot of tries to beat some sections, especially when youre playing as Ellie and have to survive the zombies with David. My first ultra rare platinum so i'm happy about that I'll probably stack the remaster at some point
Popular Post jorgecarpio91
Platinum #37: Madden NFL 20 I´m a big fan of the NFL, but I hadn´t bought a Madden game since Madden 17. So I really noted a huge improvement and had tons of enjoyment out of this years installment. The trophy list is pretty straight forward, I got the platinum in less than two days. I can see people, who aren´t familiar with the series getting the plat, unlike the NBA 2k games, which is practically impossible to get the platinum. Popular Post MonsterCondo
Completionist Unlock all trophies in DOOM Platinum No.60 Good to remember the old school FPS. One of the best games I ever play. Very nostalgic, I recommend to play this game on ultra violence difficulty, for a better experience. Popular Post blu3st4rdust305
Undertale - PS4 (#228) "Don't You Have Anything Better To Do" ...Apparently not. Due to positive endorsements and a fairly clever Platinum trophy name, I saved it for a milestone. Overall, I was disappointed. Maybe my expectations were too high. I get it, it is meant to high-jack a gaming genre and subvert it. Subversion can be a strong draw (see: Headlander). This is probably what it does best. It is presented as an old school RPG, with action options upon each turn of a fight. It allows you to attempt to take alternative actions than fight. With little knowledge of the game, I ended up taking the Pacifist route. This gave each fight a unique variety, as I found myself attempting to figure out how to get out of the fight without beating the enemy/ies. This seemed more intriguing than the usual RPG grind. This draws most of the attention to surviving the mini-game, bullet-hell style rounds where the enemy attacks and you have to dodge harm. This was also super neat. Each baddie has a series of 2-3 unique "attacks" that keep you on your toes and makes the fights far more dynamic than any old school RPG could ever dream. The boss fights were all even more unique, somehow. With distinct mechanics for trying to survive. The game has a cute style and silly sense of humor, but it could not get me enticed at all. I found myself drifting off to sleep while waiting for the nonsensical dialogue slowly materializing in the word bubbles to come to an end. The 16 bit (or is it 8 bit [does it even matter?]) style was drab and often too dull. The best moments were when the game really took the events off the rails. The bit with Papyrus as the world's worst puzzle generator or the entire sequence with Mettaton as the killer robot trope were actually very clever. "Cooking with a Killer Robot", just excellent. The story was lost on me. Very quickly, I decided I could not be bothered by the incessant calls and repetitive conversations. This is probably the primary source of my disappointment. By the time I had to make my long walk to Asgore, it felt like torture being stopped every 5 steps for even more story. Needless to say, I did not bother with the post-game (continuation?) portion. Honestly, I do not mind, stories being told via text, or with somewhat repetitive dialogue. But this one just did not click at all for me. On to the next one...

Popular Post Zach
#136 Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Time: 10-12hrs This is a decently fun Adventure Time game. This game tries to go RPG with an open world. It can be pretty buggy but if you're a fan of the series, you can look past the imperfections. I think I liked Finn and Jake Investigations better than this game though. Be on the lookout for my trophy guide coming soon.
Popular Post eigen-space
Platinum #77 - Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight Dancing in Moonlight, 52.97% Rarity Difficulty - 5/10 , Time Spent - ~15 Hours , Enjoyment 8/10 Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight transports the Persona 3 gang (I'm assuming-- never have had an experience with Persona prior to this) to an alternate space-time dream dimension where everyone can dance exactly as they imagine it in their mind! They need to gain crowd support in order to win against Elle-P's sibling. As you can probably imagine, this is a rhythm game. Press the buttons in time with the music/cues on the screen and, viola! You've won! Though with this game it's not always that difficult, and not always that simple. The game gives you plenty of support and challenge items that you can toggle on and off. Some of them make the game trivial-- like being able to press any button, rather than the designated one, to trigger a "correct" hit-- to making the game nearly impossible-- like making all press commands invisible. There are some that, unless you are an expert rhythm game player, you'll need to toggle on in order to get a platinum-- like automatically hitting all "scratch" cues. The game also has a secondary component, the "Social" events. These play out like character development scenes (they remind me of Friendship scenes in the Trails of Cold Steel series), giving you insight into each character's personality and motivations. I'm actually surprised at how well the game builds out each character-- again, I have no experience with any Persona entries prior to this game, so I don't have anything else to go off of. I feel like I genuinely like the characters and understand them well enough, apart from mentions to what I assume are supporting characters from the non-dancing version of P3. Of course, the music in the game should be good if it's a rhythm game... I do have to say that I enjoyed the soundtrack for the most part. I don't like that they sometimes had 2 or 3 different remixes of the same song even if I did enjoy all versions in certain cases-- I'd rather have more variety as there's only 25 (I think) tracks. My favorite track was definitely Battle Hymn of the Soul because the song is just awesome and the note cues make it a fun song (see video-- not me playing) and Mass Destruction Tetsuya Kobayashi Remix can go eat a bag of dicks. The next thing I enjoyed about the game is that it allows you to view perfect runs of the game (after you've beaten the stage). I personally appreciated this because it was really hard to pay attention to the actual choreography going on behind the button cues... at least if you wanted to clear a stage, that is. Junpei and Mitsuru were my favorite characters to watch dance. I do have two criticisms about the game. The first is that the sound effects made with hitting a note or scratch cue are quite grating in certain songs. You do have the option to change out the sound effect, but none of them work for every song (and, to be honest, the default ones are the least annoying in most cases). You also have the option to turn down the volume of the sound effect, but that can make it difficult to know if you actually hit the note in time with the music... and one wrong note hit can throw off your entire groove. The second thing goes back to the dancing... some of those dances are so fun to watch that they become distracting while you're trying to play. I know more than once I messed up because I was simultaneously trying to pay attention to the dancing while hitting button cues. Overall, really fun game. I haven't played a rhythm game since Guitar Hero 3 on PS2, and this was a nice reintroduction to the genre. I honestly can't believe how high the completion percentage is for this game as I thought it was pretty challenging (yet fun!).
Popular Post freddie1989
#147 Thief I am still unsure whether I enjoyed this one or not. It was, in parts, very good eg the custom playthrough with no kills was great trying to find the best route etc. However all of that was tainted by those goddamn secret areas in the 1st playthrough which really dented the experience for me. The grind on that playthrough almost made me put the game down but glad I pushed on with it. My opinion would be to use the collectible guide off the bat to save the replaying of the chapters and enjoy it on your stealthier playthrough.
Popular Post AndyKazama
Platinum #135 - Tokyo Xanadu eX+ Difficulty: 6/10 Enjoyment: 5/10 Not a hard platinum, but quite a dull one by chapter 6 of run 2. But second play throughs of long games are always difficult for me (with the exception of Tales of Berseria (110 hour plat) and Person 5 (95 hour plat)). Difficulty comes from starting Calamity with Infinity modifier on the first few areas and the last boss. Other than that, if you follow guide, very easy to get, but makes it dull (as stated before.) Still love this game.

Popular Post Viscera1900
#225 - Devil May Cry 5 Devil May Cry "Unlock all trophies." Enjoyment: SSS/10 Difficulty: 8/10 I haven't been this motivated of earning a platinum trophy for long time. This game is so much fun to play; It's so damn good! I saved this bad boy for my 225th platinum trophy milestone, which is why it took me ages to earn this, but: WORTH IT! Earning the platinum trophy is very challenging, but with enough practice; it's very doable. My favorite Devil May Cry game in the series!!!! JACKPOT!

Popular Post DamagingRob
#401- Heavy Rain (PS4) HEAVY RAIN™ Master Unlock all trophies Over 5 years ago, I earned what was just my 4th Plat. And after all that time, and close to 400 Plats later, I've earned that same Platinum again on the PS4. It was fun to revisit, since other than who the killer was, I largely didn't remember everything that clearly. But it also has not aged well. Lol. The controls are so awkward, and character thoughts sound robotic. Some very weird animations, NPCs walking through main characters during cutscenes, and cringey acting at times just add to why I feel this way. And, of course, getting all the endings, which is a major chore. It's still a good game, though. But Beyond, which gets a lot more flak for whatever reason, was a lot more enjoyable to replay in my opinion. And now I will finally play Detroit and complete my collection of Quantic Dream Plats. Popular Post Z-Yux
Platinum #73: Sword Art Online: Lost Song Difficulty: 3/10 Time-To-Platinum: ~40 Hours I was recommended this game from a friend of mine. It was his first platinum and he thought I'd enjoy this game. It was a pretty fun game aside from some of the camera controls with flight and combat. The platinum was a little grindy at times I think, but it wasn't anything unbearable.

Popular Post madbuk
#327 - Redout I came into this expecting a fun indie WipEout clone and left mostly satisfied. It doesn't come close to being as good as WipEout, but I never expected it to really. WipEout Omega Collection is my favourite racing game of all time so that was already a very lofty goal and this has a visibly much lower budget to work with. The soundtrack is about what you'd expect from a game like this, and it's decent. The aesthetics were pretty generic overall, especially compared to WipEout, but that's fine. The gameplay, which really is the only reason to play this - there's no story at all - is enjoyable although a bit too easy on the default difficulty. I didn't realize until right before the plat that this game even had a difficulty mode, as it's hidden in the options menu and the game makes no move to tell you about it, so I played the whole thing on default and kinda wish I knew earlier so I could've bumped it up to hard. There are posts on here that say the game became stupidly hard, and arguably on par with, if not harder than, WipEout via a patch, but... I really didn't feel that? Maybe it was patched again without anyone mentioning it, or maybe the EU version never received the patch, but at least for me the AI almost never attacked me with weapons, and when they did it was mainly just a leach beam for a second or two - irrelevant. I usually got time trials golded on my first attempt because the times are extremely lenient, pretty sure I even wiped out a few times and still got gold on some maps, and the plat doesn't even require all golds either. You need 45 golds and a gold on the final event (and one platinum medal) and that's it, you don't even need to play any others at all. I might've continued on after the plat to play the rest of the events but... eh. It's fun but not that fun really, it's a bit too basic and the turning isn't anywhere near as smooth or satisfying as it is in WipEout. Just give me a new WipEout, Sony. I can live with these indie games that are heavily inspired by it, but the real deal would be so exciting.
Popular Post bbaauuiiss97
#379 Burnout Paradise Remastered (EU) I'm not a big fan of racing games and I haven't really played any since way back on PS2 x) but since I got EA Access and this game looked pretty chill to platinum, I didn't have anything to lose by checking it out ^^ I ended up enjoying it quite a lot, it wasn't stressful at all, which is why I normally don't like racing very much. I don't like time pressure and feeling stressed out, but this game had very little of that. The races are all very forgiving and It was more relaxing than anything haha
