Popular Post LucasIIGD
Platinum #133 - Dirt 4 This is a nice game, indeed, a really easy but long time consuming platinum. The Codemasters made an excellent job polishing the graphics and simulation adjusts, the Racer mode style leaves the game a little "arcade" mark but this is good, cause it tends to attracts more players. The Soundtrack is amazing with real entertaining songs to keep you distracted from the long loading time screens. The joyride mode it's the best, the platinum should involve getting gold medals all over it, instead they force you to play that looong campaign, when I reach the middle of the Historic Rally I was totally bored already. Anyway its a pretty nice opportunity to learn more about rally, and if you really are a rally enthusiast fan it is imperative that you play it. I recommend it.

Popular Post locutus442
Platinum #44: Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition Vesperia Master Proof of completing Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition. Thank you very much for playing! One of my favorites back on the Xbox 360. When it was announced back in last year's E3, I just about hit the roof with excitement. All of the new content I got to do in this version I liked. I was only slightly put off with Yuri's new voice, and the dog sledding mini-game can f' off (it was very frustrating). Overall, a very enjoyable experience playing this game.

I think the hardest characters to finish are: Magneto, Doctor Doom, Amaterasu. Just a little boring cause you have to do 48 arcade mode, this is so repetitive Next Platinium : Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends Personal Difficulty : 4/10 Fun: 8/10 Time to 100%: 5 days, 6 hours (#2 Fastest Achiever) PSNP Rarity: 0.94%

Popular Post Conor
#37- ANTHEM (PS4) Grandmaster Enjoyment: 3/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Time Taken: 3 Months (60 Hours in-game) Rarity: 0.5% Ultra Rare (PSN) / 8.01% Very Rare (PSNProfiles) Hardest Trophy: No Stone Unturned (Gold)- Complete all Bastion Collectibles challenges "Get glitched!" Boy, oh boy, where to begin? If ever there was a prime example of the state of the so-called "AAA" gaming industry, well, this would be it. Two days ago, I achieved the platinum trophy in the excellent A Plague Tale: Innocence, while lamenting the lack of such experiences in favour of sterile, soulless corporate cash grabs that favour monotonous grinding over substantial content to encourage "rEcUrReNt UsEr SpEnDiNg" (AKA microtransactions) by delivering a half-assed product with the promise of more to be added later. We've seen this carry on for years now- Destiny, Rainbow Six: Siege, Sea of Thieves, Battlefield V, Fallout 76 and many others that follow the crappy "LiVe SeRvIcE" model. Worse still are the defenders of this shitty practice, people who seem to even think hat it is the best way to go about game development- release a shit product so that you know what to improve on in later updates- bloody hell, talk about bending oneself over and asking for it. Many even point to No Man's Sky as an example of a game that can radically improve with time, but they forget that NMS is not a AAA title. Also, it has no microtransactions to squeeze as much cash from people as possible. I got sidetracked a bit but my point is that Anthem represents the very worst of the AAA industry right now- not because it is the most egregious when it comes to monetization (it isn't, not by a long shot) but because of the broken promises, lack of substance and, of course, the downfall of the once beloved studio that is BioWare. I've played BioWare games for years and this is NOT BioWare. The story and characters of this fall spectacularly short of the standards set by games released over a decade ago. The protagonist- who you never really see after the very scant creation- is bland and boring, the supporting characters are unrelatable (the best of them, Owen, is done pretty dirty about halfway through) and the plot is nonsensical and barebones. Sure, the lore is quite rich if one can be bothered to actually learn about the world from the ridiculous collectibles, but there is no story to match. The gameplay is actually quite fun; you are, after all, playing in an Iron Man suit, but the flight time is too brief so the frequency of stopping ruins the flow of traversal in the pretty but barren open world. The combat is great for a few hours before getting repetitive. The mission structure doesn't help matters, with most of the missions involving flying between three locations and shooting waves of baddies, flying about gathering some light balls and bringing them back to a certain spot and the classic rip from Destiny's playbook, the standing in a specific spot for a set amount of time while shooting waves of baddies. Yeah, not cool, it didn't work for vanilla Destiny so whyever the fook someone at BioWare thought it would work now, I couldn't possibly fathom. The Javelin suits are the strong point with four to unlock in whatever order you wish after the initial Ranger. Funnily enough, the suit I unlocked last- the Interceptor- turned out to be my favourite and the one I chose to bring all the way up to Masterwork level. Over the months I have played, I did notice incremental improvements to performance- my internet is currently ass but I didn't have much trouble with connectivity and stability. Also, with the release of the long-delayed Cataclysm, the loot drop rate has been monumentally impoved. The same day I hit Level 30 and started on the Grandmaster I difficulty, I was getting lots of Masterwork drops from repeating the same easy Legendary Contract, even getting two Legendary drops in one run. This really fast-tracked my progress towards getting a Masterwork Javelin and the funniest thing of all is that it was the most fun I had in the whole time I played- very curious how enjoyable a game can be when it is actually rewarding, isn't it? Even if the endgame is nothing more than running through the same missions and strongholds over and over again. I can't imagine what it was like before the good drop rates, wasting up to half an hour at a time only to not get close to what you want. So yeah, the grind for gear became ridiculously easy but those RNG collectibles were horrific, it took me a while to figure out how to trick the game into respawning some of those archives to cut down on time immensely but it was so tedious even when I was guaranteed a pickup. From what I see, Anthem has not been very successful and while I doubt that this alone will change how the AAA industry operates, it at least goes to show that gamers are starting to wake up to the scummy practices of the greedy, uncaring publishers. I truly fear for BioWare although the company I once loved is probably no more anyway, with all the big departures. Given the reports of the game's troubled development, it is no wonder Anthem was such a mess. I will not be returning to the game unless there is a major changeup, I'm not even going to bother finishing with the Cataclysm stuff because it really doesn't interest me, nor will I bother to grind out the 150,000 rep points needed to fully restore the bland hub world of Fort Tarsis- I'm literally only at around 2,000 so screw that noise. Anthem will undoubtedly make pretty much every publication and content creator's lists when they dole out their dubious "Worst Games of 2019" accolades. So much wasted potential here, such a pity. Get glitched, EA. Edited August 14, 2019 by Stan Lee
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#244: Columbus Salutes You! And that is two Nat Geo plats! As you could probably guest, this is a sort of edu-tainment quiz game. From memory, the Nat-Geo Wild Life was a bit more tedious and tougher to complete, but neither or particularly hard. This one wasn't as interesting trivia wise; I guess its nice to know, but heck if I can see any way this could help in our modern day life (especially seeing as to how these games are technically 5 years outdated). I am wondering if I show go for the Euro version of the Wild Life, to truly complete the Nat Geo platinum set, but I dunno..... #245: G.I. JOE YOOOOO JOE!!!! I was actually pleasantly surprised with this one. It really reminded me of the original Gi-Joe Konami arcade game. You run, you gun, and try to make it to the end. It's not deep, but it's fun. This what the ps3 game felt like to me, a modern interpretation of that. The gameplay mechanics are easy to pick up and learn, the levels are short and punchy intended for short bursts of play, and its better with a friend along. But.... I think that's why the game didn't take off with audiences (among other things). It's very arcadey, which means what you get at the beginning is the same as the end, with no change-ups. Some characters KINDA do more damage than others but ultimately are all almost indistinguishable from each other; the scoring is point based, but all you can buy are more characters because there is no upgrades. It's not hard to see that this can get boring fast. Plus, reviews reported on glitches, annoying mechanics, redundant gameplay that gets old, ugly graphics. And.... yeah, there is all that. There were times near the end where I had to restart the entire game because a level didn't want to load, a lock-on system that either works fine or is unreliable, and a utterly useless AI partner. Also, its obvious that this same exact game being spread out over ALL but 1 of the major consoles results in hit taken in the graphics department. But in the end, I still had fun with it. Levels are short and punchy bits of action, so you never have to regain too much ground should the worse arise. The Joes are for all intents and purposes super soldiers, and it never stops being fun seeing them melee tanks 'til they explode. The few powerups are thankfully very powerful and always helpful (one in particular breaks the game in your favor). The only things absolutely dependent on coop in this game are some trophies, and with some finessing can be done by yourself with an extra control; your partner is also invincible, and with a little practice you can use that invincibility to make yourself nearly so. It's not a great looking game, but I thought it looked fine enough. If there was one thing I undeniably hated, it was the boss fights, both Sub AND Major. The Major fights are a boring redundant cycle of chip away damage, they retreat, you deal with mooks, they come back and you chip away more. Whats even more are the sub fights against huge robots; you do piss poor damage to them regardless of character, AND they can only be damaged from the back. And because your partner is useless, they can't act as a decoy, so you gotta try and circle around the bosses over and over yourself, hoping they will stop tracking you long enough to get even a smidgen of damage in. Tedious doesn't even begin to describe these boss fights. Lastly, while you sadly can't unlock the classic cartoon costumes for ALL the Joes, you can unlock them for Duke and Scarlett. And really, those were the only two I wanted anyways.

Popular Post zizimonster
#71 Detroit: Become Human Quantic Dream's newest installment Detroit: Become Human is a step-up in terms of storytelling, and a much better game compared to Beyond: Two Souls, which I find a bit dull to play through. This time what you do matters more, and there is a genuine sense of consequence. Further, I find this game is better than Beyond because it deals with current issues, notably on social segregation -- a ticking bomb which could explode anytime it wants to. Last but not least, if you love Beyond, play Detroit; If you hate Beyond, play Detroit; And if you adore Until Dawn (just like me), Detroit will quench your thirst for something similar. Popular Post eigen-space
Platinum #78 - The Sexy Brutale Totale Brutale, 50.63% Rarity Difficulty - 2/10 , Time Spent - ~8 Hours , Enjoyment 9.75/10 The Sexy Brutale is a puzzle mystery game that has you playing as a masked man attending an event at a large mansion. The game resembles, at first glance, the classic board game/movie Clue. You slowly learn, however, that the game is very little like Clue. For one, all the guests are dying (rather than just one guest) at the hands of the mansion's staff. Secondly, there's a bit of the supernatural happening all throughout the game. The first bit of the supernatural happens in the game's main mechanic-- time control (sort of). You replay the same 12 hours over and over and over again in hopes of stopping the murders. At any point in time, you can choose to restart the day, and when you interact with clocks you can choose to fast-forward time a little bit here and there. As you manipulate time, you will walk around the mansion spying on people through keyholes and listening to their conversations to understand the comings and goings of the guests and staff. You will watch the guests be killed over and over until you find a way to stop their deaths without directly interacting with them, for example, loading a gun with a blank bullet instead of a live round. None of these puzzles are too tough to solve-- you shouldn't need a guide unless you're impatient, and even playing without a guide won't take much time (you should only need to watch each death maybe 1-3 times)-- but they are super fun to investigate. As you save mansion guests, you will gain some of their abilities (some supernatural, others super-skilled) which allows you to explore more of the mansion, unfolding even more of the story. The visuals and audio in this game is awesome as well. The art is very stylized; chibi-anime-esque characters that remind me a lot of one of my favorite games of all time-- SaGa Frontier-- except more hi-def. They also put replicas of real-life works of art all across the mansion, which is really neat to see. The music in the game is also quite nice, which was absolutely necessary since you're replaying the same day over and over (and, hence, listening to the same songs over and over). As you explore more of the mansion, the soundtrack changes subtly to reflect the personalities of the characters you're attempting to save. It's spectacular. Lastly, the story in this game unfolds so well. You learn a little more with every death you investigate, and it comes to such an amazing climax. I personally have a good intuition for foreshadowing and can often see how the game will end many hours before it gets there, but this game had me surprised at the end. Definitely an emotional ending. However, the ending is the only reason why I can't rate this game a perfect 10-- I prefer happy endings to however you categorize the ending this game provides as it's "true" ending (there is a second ending where everything does end happily). Just play it! Edit-- I forgot to mention this initially (shame on me), but another great thing about this game is that the collectibles give you information about the characters and various things/rooms you see in the mansion. I love a game that takes time to put in like this! Edited August 13, 2019 by eigen-space
Popular Post sh4d0wzcs
#86 Donut County Simple and easy, but was surprisingly fun, would recommend to an indie lover. #87/89 Grass Cutter Pretty fun game to say it didn't look all that great, music was good and the levels got challenging closer to the end. #88 Bouncy Bullets I thought an indie fps would be okay but I was wrong, gameplay was alright but it played pretty bad, gave me motion sickness going for the plat, would not play again.. #90/91 Iron Snout For another rata game, it was surprisingly alright near the end I found myself having fun. #92/93 Metagal Pretty fun Megaman clone, story was alright, controls were pretty good but the fine jumping could've been better, slipped off a few edges that I shouldn't have. #94 Black Clover Quartet Knights Asta's constant screaming is still fucking annoying but closer to the end I started to block him out easier. The story was pretty good, and the extra chapters were pretty good too. Even for a dead MP the modes were pretty solid too, I don't know why this game wasn't very popular. I would recommend to any anime lover and any fan of the series. #95 Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands I've been putting this game off for ages and ages and finally my mate got me to try it and holy shit was I missing out. Seamlessly driving through locations was awesome, the gunplay was awesome, shit even the story was done pretty damn good too. I tackled this game like I do with almost every other Ubisoft game, clear a zone of missions and collectables then go to the next. By the time I was ready for the platinum all I needed to do was finish the last mission, which was a huge twist but I kinda saw it coming and tbh I was disappointed by how easy it was.. (might've been because instead of going through on foot I went balls deep with an armoured SUV to the end) I would recommend playing and I am looking forward to Breakpoint and have already pre-ordered. #96 One Piece: Burning Blood Pretty disappointed with having next to no story coverage that pretty m7ch only covers one arc, was expecting much more and I am glad I didn't buy day one.. As a One Piece fighting game? Felt pretty good, controls could've been better but everything felt pretty good to use. ACE OP plus nerf! I'd recommend this to any One Piece fan or any anime fan, as even though I was disappointed at first I still had a lot of fun playing this game through.

Nostalgia effect aside, i truly enjoyed this game...yeah, i know...Shenmue works a little too slow when compared against modern games and this is a pretty bad remaster ( I sort of wish that they gave these games the Crash Bandicoot / Spyro treatment and had remade them from scratch but at the same time, having a remaster at all is something you wouldn't have thought possible a few years ago). This game is definitely not for everyone, but it still have its charm and remains as a key piece in videogame history. When you're among the first of your kind, you get to be among the first to make all the mistakes others will learn from. It's the price Shenmue pays as a pioneer, but it's ambition and worldbuilding secures it as a classic. Now for the second part!!
