Popular Post ZitMeatloaf
#31 - Grim Fandango Remastered "Number Nine Ticket" I remember when this game first came out on PC wayyyyy back in 1998. I never played it back then, but my roommate did; he enjoyed all of the point-and-click adventure PC games (everything by Sierra, Myst, Monty Python & the Quest for the Holy Grail, etc.). I played the occasional Quest For Glory or Space Quest game, but I wasn't into the genre nearly as much as my roommate. I remember him looking forward to this game and raving about the humor once he began to play it. So I was aware of the game, and it was always floating around in the recesses of my brain, with the "someday I'd like to play this" tag attached to it. Well someday came when I saw that I could pick this up for a mere dollar as part of a Humble Bundle (or really only 34 cents I suppose, since two other games also came with the lowest tier). I enjoyed the game quite a bit. The humor and story are still fantastic and hold up well; the tank controls do not. I never did get fully accustomed to using the tank controls, and would often send Manny running in directions I had no intention of sending him. It definitely felt weird. I used a guide right from the start, and I'm glad I did. Without a guide I doubt I would have even finished the game, much less obtained the platinum. So many of the puzzles seemed illogical and random to me, I never would have made any significant progress without an insane amount of trial-and-error. I know some people preach "Never use a guide on your first playthrough!", but for me the guide made the game enjoyable because I got to see the story progress without being stuck on the same preposterous puzzle for hours on end.
Popular Post Hanstarkiller17
Platinum #50 Destiny 2 I took a brief hiatus from trophy hunting to return to this gem of a game, knowing that I wanted it to be my 50th platinum. I am always amazed by the beauty and tremendous amounts of fun i have whenever I play Destiny 2. Even though I know have finished the platinum (finally), I am definitely not one with this game! The next expansion comes out October 1, and I still have one trophy to finish in the first expansion. This is easily one of my top three games ever, and even if playing it so much means I slow my trophy earning, that is a very worthy sacrifice! As for the actual platinum, the last trophy I finished was the prestige leviathan. I remember being so ticked when they changed the trophy from completing a prestige nightfall/prestige raid, to just the prestige raid, as I finished my first prestige nightfall the very next day, expecting to pop the trophy. I have played the normal leviathan a multitude of times, and attempted the prestige raid once before, but my team quit after a few tries at the final boss, and I put it on hold for almost a year. Yesterday, I found a random team on LFG and we finished it with ease, so shout out to those people who helped! Whenever I do go back to trophy hunting, I'll be finishing a couple cheap games I picked up in the last sale, and then finally playing Assassin's Creed Syndicate.
Popular Post Undead Wolf
#278 - Yakuza 1 HD プラチナトロフィー ゲーム中の全てのトロフィーを取得した This is the HD remaster of the original PS2 game that released exclusively in Japan. It still holds up exceptionally well, even when compared to Kiwami (the remake). In fact, I think I prefer this over the remake for a multitude of reasons. I really liked Kiwami of course, but I couldn't shake the feeling that it was just a cheap reskin of Yakuza 0. It also added some unnecessary things such as the Majima Everywhere System which I wasn't a fan of, especially given how it diminishes certain story events. The original Yakuza 1 is where it's at! I can't quite put my finger on it, but Yakuza 1 just feels like a much more polished/well-refined game. Killer soundtrack too! The fact that this version is all in Japanese added an extra level of challenge, but the language barrier wasn't as much of a hindrance as I expected it would be. I guess my experience with other Yakuza games is paying off. Only one trophy really stands out to me in this game, and that's the one for completing all of Haruka's Requests, and that's all down to one request she has that tasks you with hitting 20 homeruns in a row on the hardest course at the batting center. It's pretty nuts... Probably took me like 3-4 hours of attempts before I finally got it. The devs were evil putting that one in there. The Yakuza plat collection grows once more. The easiest platinum is Yakuza 6 without a doubt. No trophy for 100% completion, plus Clan Creator and the Legend difficulty playthrough can be cheesed. As for the hardest platinum, that's a bit more tricky to answer. I'd say it's a close one between Yakuza 0 and Yakuza 3 because of the minigame completion lists in both games. Yakuza 0 has more minigames you need to get good at, but for Yakuza 3, you really need to master stuff like Pool and Darts. I guess it all depends on what you're good at. I should also point out that I'm talking about the western PS3 version of Yakuza 3 which had cut content. The PS4 remaster restores this content and brings with it stuff like Mahjong, therefore, it's probably more difficult. I have't looked into that version's trophy list much yet.

Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #182 X-Blades Platinum Awarded for successfully collecting all trophies from X-Blades What a turd. :'D This'll be an incoherent rant, so I'll likely repeat myself multiple times.. . I now know why it took me 8 years, 3 months to do this. I'm pretty forgiving of games, particularly when it comes to mediocrity... but this one really pisses me off. It's so badly designed that it's hard to look beyond that at all. By the Pro (highest difficulty) playthrough I understood not to play the game like a hack and slash at all, and to just spam magic endlessly and spam buying mana/health the entire time. All while jumping around like an idiot [which only half helps to avoid damage, about 1/3rd of the time you'll take damage anyway especially from those bullshit spiders who shoot dark magic at you that shit moves fast and is accurate]. And don't forget dealing with the world's worst lockon system; which beyond being hard to target what you want loves to hang on to dead enemies as they slowly disappear from existence. Awesome.. Plus there's a teleport code, which used correctly can get you through Pro way faster. Although you can't choose where it skips you to, so it's a pain in the ass too. And even that has more drawbacks since it breaks the upgrade/store and things just disappear. But with enough teleporting around you don't need ice or lightning magic anyway. Just light, which you get no problem after you finally get to the right place. The core gameplay is broken. You can easily get stun locked into a horde of enemies, and there are so many enemies... so... so many. Just endless waves of awful enemies. Some of which are immune to certain things, including your useless sword. Fun. The shooting is garbage, but would've made the game less tedious if it actually worked on half the crap. It does fuck all to bosses, and some of the most deadly rando enemies don't take any damage from it at all. The dodge is cumbersome at best, you have to push the left stick forward twice then press the jump button. I ended up just jumping half the time, which in certain rooms and with traps... means instant death. More fun! I will say the music was good, other than the one song with lyrics which was... what you'd expect from a game like this. And after you beat the story the first time you unlock two costumes, the regen costume is a lot less stupid looking. I have nothing against a sexualized costume or character design. But it's just a bad design inherently. It looks stupid, and the animation being so awful doesn't help at all. If she at least moved fluidly instead of so stiff [heh] like a PSone character model would move around then it wouldn't be so bad... actually that's an insult to Lara Croft. She just sucks. And my Yevon that personality. it's absolutely awful. Anyone that's every whined about this game "objectifying" women should focus more on how awful the actual character is instead of what she looks like. She's a try-hard, but fail miserably, "bad ass female character". And the voice actress is not doing well. All the voice actors were pretty trash until the very last boss fight/story part where one character is taken over by darkness or whatever and then he's putting in work. Otherwise, it was trash performances all around.Come to think of it... I don't know her name... The story is literally just Treasure Hunter Bad Ass Chick touches orb, gets possessed by darkness, touches another orb, rids herself of the darkness but now has light. Darkness goes into someone else. Fight the other person. Over. There's no real "character" to speak of. The main character is saved by the guy who is possessed and in combat she's like "we're friends!" and I'm like... since when? This was not properly conveyed at all. In fact he basically wanted to bang her (so it seemed), then he hated her for touching orb 2. And then she's fighting him. It's a really underbaked game. And that would have been fine if they didn't just dump waves upon waves upon waves upon waves upon waves of enemies in these bland ruin areas with some of the worst combat of all time. I think the worst part is there could have been a decent or medicore game in there, but they just gave up. I find it hard to imagine they actually tried. The combat feels so bad. Even something like Ninety-Nine Nights, where the combat is so bad that you have attack animations for things that don't actually do any damage at all feels better. At least you don't have enemies that just walk up to you and damage you on contact and stun lock you. And that you can't even properly jump away from because your jump is such ass. And before I forget, my god there was platforming. Every bad hack and slash has shitty platforming, I swear. It has one of those useless double jumps where you can only use it at the top of your jump so you can't fall at all and then use it. Which is how good platforming with double jumping works. Since it lets you have more control. But this game does not give a rats ass. And that also reminds me, good fucking luck breaking vases with your shitty melee attack. I'd be hacking away with the visual slashes going through vases and they'd just stay there. The small ones? Forget about it. Waste of time. And you run into this issue in the first area of the tutorial level. And sometimes you'll just run up a vase and shoot into the air. The lack of really good movement really harms the game, and the cutscenes show her able to jump all over and have good movement. Then you just have the worst controls of all time. Had dodge been on a button that alone would've made it less of a shitty game... maybe, the dodge was pretty short distance like the jump so it was probably functionally useless in battle like melee combat. Maybe if I had used the teleport magic, but you need rage for that to be used... and why do that when you can just spam magic that damages everyone around you instead? You'll be bum rushed and damaged enough to build up your rage to full in .2 seconds anyway. And "easy" is some horseshit. Comparatively and once you stop trying to play the game and instead learn how to cheese it, it's not as bad but it's still completely and utterly tedious even when you learn to break through the shitty mechan What a piece of crap game. I can't believe I played it years ago and didn't think it was that bad. How I even got so far in is beyond me. I almost beat the dumb thing. I just didn't know it. Maybe I did hate it and just forgot. Ugh, whatever. At least it's over with. I wanted to like you plumber butt lady, but like your costume design your game is ass. OH MY YEVON, I forgot to bitch about the horrible bosses. My god, they're so bad. Some may have seen me complaining in status updates about some of them. There's this bullshit spider boss you can't even approach (really a great design choice in a hack and slash game!) or he just deletes your health even on easy. And there are infinitely spawning smaller spiders who can stun lock you near him. And even your AoE magic can't one hit them so it's a disaster. And to top it off they give this spider some random flying drones that suck your magic toward them so you have to shoot those shitty things down before you can spam magic at the boss then rinse repeat it forever. And then there's this bullshit enlarged version of one of the worst enemies in the game who just fly around and are immune to bullet damage. This one has minions that make it immune to damage entirely until you kill all of them. And unlike a previous boss that did this, there is no phase where that stops and it doesn't let you pick them off one by one. You have to kill them all at once, or they'll respawn quickly and you'll never get done. Even at the most optimal strategy I couldn't do it well on easy. Easy. It took ages. Ugh... what a stupid game. edit 2; and the trophy icons suck too Edited August 29, 2019 by Elvick_

Popular Post NullSpace84
#39: Steins;Gate 0 The interquel to the modern masterwork that is Steins;Gate gives me pause. Talk about a difficult to classify visual novel, this Steins;Gate 0. Should I extol it for its peaks, its finest conversations, when its ambitious script echoes the original's, supersedes the majority of videogame scriptwriting, and earns my robust esteem as a testament to the potency of our beloved medium? Should I chide it for its valleys, its curious moments which seemingly adore to overstay their welcome, when it dives into jarring wackiness and plops in frustrating scenes not out of place in cotton-candy fluff? Should I tilt my head and question its unresolved threads, dangled from a tapestry in parts both mesmerizing and unkempt? Should I deem it a cash-grab, a sloppy second, a marvel which suffices to explore a fascinating different branch of technology and science-fiction, a heartwarming revisit to one of my all-time favorite video game casts - a thing of its own, or is it beholden to its progenitor? Superfluous, dexterous, or what? I kind of cherish Steins;Gate 0. I kind of scratch my head at it. It impressed me at points. It puzzled me at others. Welcome to the interquel life. Beyond any reasonable doubt, I'd exhort any curious 0 onlooker to play Steins;Gate firstly. As 0 directly portrays and vastly expounds upon endgame S;G actions, one shouldn't enter its Akihabara unequipped. Divergence has beset the Future Gadget Lab, its founder Rintaro Okabe in particular, and time-travel theory cedes the engine to artificial intelligence. At what point will technology outpace humanity's capability to create or even maintain it? How will a world ever seamlessly poised for wars advance beyond our pale? Just what the heck does Rumiho Akiha guzzle to fuel her boundless stamina?? That last one defies answer, people. Those prior questions, and more, circulate within S;G 0's porridge. Like a porridge heated over a flame stove, not all of its ingredients warm equally. Some, however, get piping hot! Several superb positives abound, to my great liking. All returning cast members stake at least one claim to significance and poignant display; from nurturing Mayuri and stalwart Suzuha to a spunky "Sergeant," expect their endearment to grow ever closer if you treasured them during S;G. Even the two, Moeka and Luka, who'd left lesser impressions upon me from the original breathed new light and value in 0. The new and/or newly-spotlighted cast members generally hold it together, although around half of 'em fill more tertiary, non-essential positions. Then along comes Maho, who IMO wholly earns a seat at the Round Table and by far pleased me strongest of the new faces. A short-stuff knockoff, she is not. Takeshi Abo composes several terrific synthetic additions to the S;G soundtrack catalog, to the point that I *slightly* overall favor 0's OST. Not shoddy! As before, he nails the sci-fi soundscape to a stirring note. Huke likewise again illustrates our Akihabaran populace, although more than a couple new poses and faces glare disappointingly off-model or oddly-proportioned. The game does not /deftly/ mix in artwork models from the original, in that it does mix them in, but slipshod, with hardly any grace. Finally, unevenness extended to the late-game routes and endings, as well. Two-thirds of them satisfied me and drew tears - of relief, of sorrow, of joy, what have you - to my eyes. (I cried 4 times total, compared to 7 for Steins;Gate.) One-third of them quizzically petered out and moderately dulled me. I happened to crest, in personal experience, midway through the saga and wound up almost unsuitably relaxed in muscle and mind by its narrow-margin penultimate conclusion. As I cited, interquel life! You're looking at 25-35 hours of VN without rushing through. Bless MAGES., LINE supplants SMS triggers to streamline progress toward the true end flags and 100% completion. It'd stun me if our real LINE hasn't made a killing on their precious S;G 0 sticker set. :> What happened, then? Can I recommend Steins;Gate 0? To players of Steins;Gate, absolutely, more Steins;Gate. To outsiders from Steins;Gate, absolutely, /after/ Steins;Gate. But what is it? Another masterstroke? A head-scratcher? An atypical expansion on the world-bending explosion of sci-fi at the center of the district of otaku life? It is several things - any of those, plus more - from time to time, from moments to moments. I don't regret it, no ma'am/sir. I don't have all the answers for my viewpoint, for this one. But hey - I cherish Steins;Gate with all my soul. I kind of cherish Steins;Gate 0. That's kind of awesome, then!

Popular Post Sora9427
Platinum Trophy Collect all other trophies After Quite a Long While (almost 2 months!) i'm back writing here And i write about a Plat i'm really happy to have, not becaus eit's hard, nah, it's a really Easy Plat honestly, but i Really love this Game and so i'm really satisfied to finally have it in my Plat collection :3 I Love Subnautica, i've watched it Played 3 Times on YT since the Beta Version and i was sooo Glad when they announced it for Console too! I wa sjust waiting a ncie Sale to get it; which happened some weeks ago! Right now i can't wait for Below Zero which looks Awesome and hopefully it will come out on Console right Away! And... Hopefully even A LOT better optimized. Despite how much i love this game it has sooo many troubles on the Ps4 version at least, Boy it was annoying at moments. The Biggest problems are the Loadings. Leaving aside that using a Teleport Takes an Entire 1 minute to load from an are to another (while it was like 10-15 Secs on PC so a Big difference) the fact that entire Areas don't load in properly is a Massive trouble in this game. The game itself is pretty Low in GB Terms to install and i think that's where the problem is. I would have liked them to put more weight but make stuff load in better instead they made it Lighter and often Even BIG parts of a Biome didn't load in properly or had missing walls where you could literally go through with the Result that maybe you went through and then it load in leaving you blocked inside! 4-5 times it happened to me, i went through a terrain not noticing and i ended up close down, thankfully in the Water ou can find ways out and get back to the world. In the Facilities not as much... I Glitched through an area that didn't load in until after i went through, i ended up down in the bottom and could not LITERALLY go out in any way possible. I Had to let my character Die to Restart from Home and go back to the area.... Sometimes Enemies spawned in front of you too. Happened twice, with Stalker, spawned 7 inf ront of me in the area, and even a Reaper! It spawned it when i went on an Island, i saw him flipping in the water and He should Not have been in that Biome! (And in fact in never met him later there!) So Yeah, the Console verison of the game is not that great on that regard... Which is a pity considering for Exmaple the FPS instead are pretty stable, they only Dropped massively in the Area when you pass to go to the lost River for whatever reason, once you pass that point it's normal again. Anyway performance aside the story is simply amazing even if i already knew it, playing it is something else, the Leviathan too! I met only 1 reaper and it more than anything annoied me The Sea Dragon i just passed through them. The Emperor was a wonderful Thing to watch O.o The Ghot leviathans instead? boy those scares me. Not really the juvenile one,s they are scary sure but not as much as the adults ones! I never knew there were 3 adults roaming around in some areas O.o I found one turning the corner of the Reefs and i wodnered "Wait what the Fukc? Did my game Glitched?" Then checked and it's normal O.o Ehi at least i scanned it that way After this MASSIVE wall of text anyway yeah i simply loved this game, the Trophies are Super easy, no missable, 95% of the story releated and the other really fast, so it was relaly fun just play and enjoy the ride. I Might write a Guide here since i see PSNP Doesn't have one for the game! Platinum Image (Which i Guess it's the same for most people, that or the Menu when you release a Cuddlefish which i don't knwo if it's a better screenshot in the end xD): And now let's see what to play but i wanna start Spyro 1 tomorrow! Popular Post Zach
#139 Red Dead Redemption 2 Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Difficulty: 6.5/10 Time: 190-200hrs WOOHOO! I'm finally done. Man this game was a borderline ridiculous grind in both story mode and in multiplayer. I never thought too much content (in story mode that is) was possible until I played this game lol. I thought it was never going to end! When it comes to the multiplayer, it's a bore-fest. There's not much to do at all. The story is definitely the main attraction here. Well that's the case with most games in my opinion. You might be seeing the 8.5 rating and go: "Hmmmm, is he crazy?!" Let me attempt to defend myself before the pitchforks come out. I have to be honest.... I liked RDR1's story better. The pacing was better and I was just more into it. The ending of the first game was also a lot more emotional in my opinion. BUT! I loved Arthur Morgan more as the protagonist than I did with John Marston. He's such a great and loveable guy and his character development is amazing! I feel like my personal rating isn't too bad and after all, it's just my opinion. Now... I can actually continue gaming after that long platinum.
Popular Post Masamune
Hardcore Gamer Unlock all trophies in Riddled Corpses EX Difficulty: 6/10 Enjoyment: 6.5/10 Playtime: 9:39:45 (1 day, 21 hours, 18 minutes) Screenshot: Spoiler It was okay for a quick time killer, but over half the time I was play was just farming stages 1 & 4 for gold to upgrade things & make the stages even doable. ? I found the difficulty a lot higher than what most people suggest too, although even the plat's rarity is near 50%, so I guess I just suck at it. ? While this did come with both the PS4 & Vita versions, I'll probably just stick with the Vita version for now (it may be a bit easier on the PS4 though, since I'm usually better with a controller), doing it again right after would be bad on my nerves.
