Popular Post Lum
#59: Shadows at Midnight Earned all other trophies I saw Yomawari: Midnight Shadows in the current August sale in the PS store for a good price, and after seeing numerous positive ratings, reading some positive reviews, seeing some of the gameplay and being a fan of horror, I'm curious to see how this game would fare for me and fortunately, it was a decent experience. Rarely will you ever see a game that's creepy, eerie, bizarre and still pull off a side of....cute ?, due to the style of this game's artwork. Part of this adorableness is that the character you are playing as, Haru, is an elementary school student, and her being the innocent child that she is, it's somewhat common that she could be intrigued by the simplest of things (most of the collectibles, or "treasures", you find in this game are something really simple and ordinary, like a small candle or a rubber duck for example, and you can see some of these items laid out in her bedroom). Since Haru is still a little kid, but moreso it's not that kind of game, it's not surprising that you won't be shooting any guns or hacking away at any foes like in your typical survival horror, but instead you'll be avoiding enemies the whole time (because 1 hit, you're dead) while using items as distractions, with the exception of certain abilities like throwing salt at a spirit to get rid of it. The amount of collectibles isn't too bad imo. If you're doing a thorough job of exploring every corner of the map already, you should be able to get about a little more than half of the collectibles without too much effort. Other collectibles require specific actions that you would have to take that aren't so obvious, but thankfully there are text and video guides available that you can find. The story revolves around tragedy and loss, and while it is a story that have existed before in one way or another, it is still entertaining in the sense that it will leave you wanting to see it through to the end. If you're someone who likes horror and don't mind a pure text dialogue, I recommend giving this game a go.
Popular Post Tankor_smash
#308 Final Fantasy XV Really didn't like anything about this. Mostly finished it just to get it off my hard drive. Combat not great, characters dull, story piecemeal and boring.

Popular Post TazDevilz1986
Plants VS Zombies Garden Warfare PS4 # 388 Fundead Legionnaire After almost 3 years i finally got my platinum for PVZ. Huge shoutout to @KILLERMACHINE666 for helping me finish the kills and last 10 levels for a good solid 9 hours of his time with 2 PS4's. I really enjoyed the game, but i did some boosting for the final push to speed things up. I absolutely recommend this game if you haven't played it yet. Popular Post Dragon-Archon
#205: Nights of Azure 2 Bride of the New Moon The second game takes place an unspecified amount of years after the first game. After the defeat of the Nightlord, the Moon Queen attempts to become the new ruler of demons and start the Eternal Night and she's very close to achieving it. To slow her down, a Bride of Time is selected and sacrificed. The game's main character (Aluche) is tasked with escorting the new Bride of Time, which is when they're ambushed. This synopsis sounds similar to the first game, but luckily, it's not a copy-paste story. The game has a combination a brand new cast of characters and some old ones. Arnice is only a party member and IMO she's introduced very late in the game and won't even become a party member until the penultimate chapter. Even that is missable. All of the seven party members have their own personal questline that fleshes them out and completing those quests also increases affinity, which in turn unlocks stat boosts, new attacks, and even equipment slots. The Servan system is altered too: instead of being able to create Servans, there's now one of each and they must be collected. Information about the Moon Queen is also revealed over the course of the story, though sometimes it's subtly hinted and its up to the player to connect the dots. This is an improvement over the first game, where the player only got some more information just before the final boss fight. As for the things I didn't like about the game. Well, there's a limited amount of days to complete the first playthrough. During NG+ and beyond the time limit is removed, so that compensates it. However, the biggest grind in the game (obtaining enough ability points to unlock all of Aluche's abilities) is tied to leveling up, which means defeating enemies to obtain blue blood. Each day also has a time limit of 10 minutes, which can be increased to 20 minutes by leveling up. Due to the limited amount of days, it's impossible to reach 20 minutes during the first playthrough. Upon reaching NG+ your level and party member levels are reset to 1 (to enable ability point farming). When clearing the game with the normal ending, players receive an accessory that adds ability points as quest rewards. Even with that + reaching the max level, I still had to do about 25% of the story during the third playthrough to unlock all abilities. This is by far the biggest grind in the game and it could've been mitigated if the developer added ability points as quest rewards from the first playthrough on. Servans have to be collected again during NG+ and their ultimate evolutions don't carry over. I had fun with the game, but the ability point grind was unexpected. Had I know about that before, I could've used all my remaining days during the first playthrough to farm blue blood.
Popular Post Hanstarkiller17
Platinum #51 100% #64 Drowning Drowning is a sad walking simulator that deals with the tough topic of depression. The game is very linear and you can only move off the path to grab hidden collectibles, but there are only 6 of them, plus a couple other trophies for trying to walk off the path at certain spots. I played the game through once to understand the story, and then replayed it a few times to get all the endings. Thankfully, in a patch released near the beginning of the year, the developers added the option to skip chapters, which cuts down on the completion time considerably. Drowning advertises itself as a “beautiful low-poly" game, and it is truly that. i didn't feel that the cartoonish graphics were the best option to go along with the deep and important story, but that doesn't take too much away from the game once you get into it. This is the first of this style of game that I have played, and it makes me want to try Dear Esther, despite the fact that it doesn't have a platinum.

Anyway, I liked it and I will check out part 2 eventually. The comic style and the main protagonist are really great btw. Controls are a lot better on PS4. Popular Post ZoutjeNL
Platinum #9 A Hat in Time Enjoyment: 8 Difficulty: 4 I heard good stories about this colorfull and cute 3d platformer. I am a fan of 3d platformers, loved playing Mario back in the day. Talking about A Hat in Time, this game got clear inspiration from Mario Sunshine, which was a fantastic game. The game contains 4 major areas with each their own style and unique setting. There are anywhere from 5-7 missions per major area with 3 additional challenges in the form of Time Rifts. The majority of the trophies were pretty straightforward, complete all the levels and obtain all the time pieces. For the remaining trophies usually an easy task would do the job. There are only a few tricky trophies: Secret Intruder, One Punch, The Perfect parade and The Floor is Lava. All of these should not be so hard after a few tries though. For One Punch you can use the Ice Hat to your advantage. All in all a short but fun platinum I would recommend!

Popular Post StraightVege
I was in a retro indie mood (as usual), so I picked up these two in the August sale: Deep Ones Platinum #201 - Completed in 1 hour, 50 minutes (4th Fastest Achiever) An atmospheric 2D platformer, with the potential to be excellent, yet is sadly held back by many serious shortcomings. There are some truly positive aspects—colorful graphics, in the style of the ZX Spectrum, which are quite fitting for the undersea setting; a surprisingly stellar Retrowave soundtrack, that really sets the tone for exploring a foreign place (I just wish they used more of it in-game!); a good amount of gameplay variety to keep things fresh, like escape sequences on a giant seahorse, defending a pirate ship with a cannon, and hiding behind a moving hermit crab to evade detection. However, your character controls in a painfully sluggish manner, particularly when changing directions. This may make sense, considering the underwater theme, but there's no excuse for suddenly slowing the player down when they attempt to flee from danger. Although you do get used to it, it just feels awful, and often results in unnecessary damage or deaths, even though the enemies and hazards presented by the game aren't very threatening. The fire rate on your gun is abysmal, too, and it can't really be fired while jumping. Occasionally, you can glitch the game into firing multiple rounds, or jump shots, but this rarely happens when you want it to. I imagine it's supposed to be a slow speargun, but again, playability suffers. A sword weapon is obtained on two occasions, which features an extremely useful dash move, giving invincibility frames. Unfortunately, you never get to keep it for long, and it's back to the boring gun. There are a few jarring difficulty spikes, as well, such as the pirate bosses. The pirate enemies in general are heavily overused: they're first introduced by an extremely lengthy section of flat ground, whereby you're forced to kill dozens of them, and this goes on for so long, that I thought the game was stuck in a loop! This title would have benefited from additional enemy variety, and more interesting enemy behaviors—most them just walk slowly toward you. Deep Ones was supposedly influenced by BioShock and H.P. Lovecraft, but the significance of this is shallow at best: the main character wears a diving suit, and there's a big tentacle monster. That's about it, with no real story to speak of. The game is also loaded with funny grammatical errors, like "press square to shot," and "You like a Rick Grimes," the trophy description for defeating 100 pirates. I thought game was still worth playing, if only for the moody combination of visuals and music, which really worked. Seriously, check out the soundtrack here: https://premierefetishist.bandcamp.com/album/deep-ones-soundtrack - It's great! I especially enjoy "Outer Space Praetorians," "Soul," and "Maybe More." Sigi - A Fart for Melusina Platinum #202 - Completed in 27 minutes, 30 seconds (41st Fastest Achiever) In spite of the silly name, I was hoping for a lot more depth from a game with obvious Ghouls 'n Ghosts influences. Sigi is a mindless experience—you're provided with an excess of extra lives, and very frequent checkpoints, when the levels are already brief and unchallenging to begin with. The player can practically just hold right, while frantically jumping and shooting, without much regard for the consequences. It really doesn't matter which of the random weapons you pick-up, either: just keep pushing forward, and you'll succeed. Even the secret areas and items are barely hidden. I later learned that Sigi was originally a mobile title, so I guess that explains the shallowness. And what's with the boss design? Why am I fighting sentient French fries and zombie Hulk Hogan?! I suppose they were trying to be funny or irreverent, but it didn't work. One would think a game called "a FaRT FoR mElUsinA" would at least commit to the gag, and give the player amusing flatulence abilities or something, but no. The low-effort humor fell flat for me. This was perhaps the easiest action-platformer I've ever played, and it can be platinumed in under a half-hour, with little effort. Sigi is so simplistic, I can't even think of much to say about it. Quite unsatisfying! Of the two games, Deep Ones is leagues better, despite its jankiness.
Popular Post FLCLcrim2
#134 A New Story of Swords and Souls Obtain all trophies. I realized all I had left in this game to do was the Libra story mode. As long as you cloud save right before the last fight, it isn't so bad. The 30 rifts are a bit annoying, especially some with really stupid enemies(at least at my skill level). However, The worst trophy is easily winning online matches. Because of the way it works, Also I suck at fighting games, it just took me so long to do. Finally finished it though.

I ended up in the top 3 achiever. The only somewhat difficult mode are the ''Final Showdown Challenges'' 4 and 5. If these 2 challenges didn't exist. The platinum for this game would be like a 2/10. Popular Post sh4d0wzcs
#98 Watch Dogs 2 Finally back to it after 2 years and finishing Watch Dogs after getting back to it after 3.. Pretty fun game, best mission for me was the robotank. Significant update to driving and gunplay however almost every car felt the same, and the lack of slowmo focus made me miss it even more. And the story was well, a big turn around from the first, it was still good but Aidens story I felt was better, and darker. And Wrench is just as awesome as I remember, the banter between him and Marcus was hilarious.
Popular Post Ala-Arska
LittleBigPlanet 3 (PS4) 100% Complete Earn all LittleBigPlanetTM 3 trophies to unlock this platinum trophy For a family game, there's a whole lotta mooning going on. While the PS3 version was a Sack of s**t, this was way more polished. Or maybe it's just all the patches that got rid of all them nasty bugs and issues. LBP 3 on PS4 runs smoothly, loading times are tolerable, no crashes, no glitches, no buggy trophies. Yay Technical aspects aside, this one's also fun to play! A bit different and shorter than its predecessors, but fun all the same. It's got new characters, who can run along walls, change their size and even fly. And still grab and slap other players Voice acting department contains such British treasures as Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie. And, like in 99% of games, Nolan North I feel like this was looked down upon after the huge successes that were LBP 1 and 2, since it breaks the pattern a bit. I didn't mind it at all. I did though in PS3 version, which was just a complete mess. Why on Earth isn't there LittleBigPlanet 4 yet? I'd buy that in a heartbeat. LBP 3 is at least worth checking out. No creating crap for 24 hours this time, either
